781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 29, 2024, 03:29:04 PM
Yeah, you can be an expert in a field, and be able to come up with similar probabilities that the casinos are offering.

The issue is that the casinos of course have full control of the odds they offer, and they usually like to keep them in favor of the house.

That means that even if you know what's going to happen, the odds are priced in so to speak, and the advantage is to the house.
There is only one option left to beat the casino, and that is if luck is on our side, despite the fact that the casino tried to take everything into account in its calculations. Only the key point here is that we cannot influence luck in any way, it comes when it sees fit and leaves without warning. I would also add here that almost all players think that they are the ones who will be lucky, but there is no need to make such a mistake, for luck no one is absolutely different from all players. Therefore, sometimes you need to take the crown off your head and not think that right now we will be lucky, but take it more coolly. I do this and don’t get too upset when luck doesn’t come to me.

Luck helps the gamblers to win and also puts them on a race to win more. So, the house has nothing to lose on the long run. Except the gambler's aim is to win big and quit, he'll easily spend more after winning. Gambling is quite an interesting activity, which a player may not be able to avoid easily. The house on the other hand has capitalized on this reality and doesn't feel bothered handing out huge amount of money in jackpots. Because they know it'll definitely be brought back to the casino. Although gamblers differs and some use their jackpot to build other business, lots of people would lavish the money luxuriously while gambling. The casino owns the game, instead of thinking on ways to beat them, it's better to enjoy the process. Gamblers require lots of discipline to achieve this milestone. Nobody would be able to get hold of huge amount without increasing his wagers to win bigger.
782  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 29, 2024, 03:00:18 PM
Having a steady income is the most important thing for gamblers because having a steady income means they can finance their gambling and this will not interfere with their other needs. Having a stable income will also allow gamblers to be able to manage their money and allocate it to gambling, so that they can set limits and reduce the stress they might experience if they were to lose.

Just imagine if a gambler doesn't have a fixed income, that means the money he gambles comes from things he shouldn't gamble on, such as the proceeds from selling goods, asking his parents, or other things, and I think that's quite an inappropriate thing to do.

The gambler with a stable source of income needs to manage his expensive properly not to get bankrupt in the process. It also depends on the amount of money he earns. Non gamblers who earn income, also take loans due to their financial responsibilities. Hence, a gambler who spends his earning gambling, should be careful not to end up in debt. That's why 1% of the player's income is quite very necessary in stabilizing the advantage of gambling for such players. Although, it's better for the income earner if he's capable of controlling his gambling habit. Grabbing the opportunity and knowing when to stop for a session. The process requires some sort of calculation for the gambler, which if he's not disciplined enough, could get in trouble with his money and business alike. No body is safe enough in gambling, not to mind the limitation rules in gambling. Which involves, risk, money and time management.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 29, 2024, 02:49:27 PM

There is no excuse for those who do this. There should be nothing more important in any person's life than small children. I think you can even sacrifice any interests and personal life ambitions, just to take care of your children, develop them and try to give them a better future.

It is unequivocal that this man from the article above should be sent for treatment, because such an act can be unambiguously interpreted as a strong and uncontrollable addiction.

Not doubts he's an addict who has been neglected, that's why he's not strong enough to control himself. In families, people talk things out, while others may quarrel it over. The man may have been the type who quarrels it over, with his loved ones. Because his acts show how careless he's been towards himself and the trouble he's undergoing. I could remember as a young boy spending time on games for hours without realizing that it's night already due to the flashy lights in the gaming house. If I was not cautioned as a child, such attitude may have been bothering my daily lifestyle till date. Hence, the trouble develops given time, and during the early stages if not cared for, the gambler will find himself like the man in the story. Because it'll be quite too difficult to reverse his gambling thoughts.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 29, 2024, 02:36:20 PM
Yes for sure, especially for those with short patience. I have witnessed different types of addictions in our area, there are alcohol addicts, drug addicts and others who are addicted to gambling, even if they are addicted to different things, the same thing happens, they often fight, they hurt their wives or their partners once that they are no longer in the right frame of mind, breaking things while fighting and even their children feel sorry for them.

There are many people like that in our country, not only in our area, so it's really unfortunate to have a partner like this. Your life will quickly be destroyed if you have this kind of partner.
That is why every woman avoids potential partners who have a history of gambling or actively gamble, because they are afraid that physical violence will occur after their partner experiences high losses due to gambling. I have seen myself a gambler who shouted at his wife and her husband committed some physical violence in the household, so it is very unfortunate that the actions of an addicted gambler can damage relationships and hit the people he loves most just because of the impact of gambling addiction.

However, avoid any bad effects of gambling addiction and rather quit gambling if gambling is ruining the lives of you and your partner.

It's a family rule that any woman who has at some point seen or experienced another person maltreated by a gambler, will most likely avoid any type of gambler. Responsive or compulsive. It's the main trouble the responsive gambler go through in relationships. The wife will hardly stay comfortable being with a gambler, regardless of his habits being good and coordinated. So, the compulsive gambler also has made things harder for responsible gamblers. That means every gambler would face some domestic violence, especially when the wife is not in support of gambling activities. Such people under such rules can't jeopardize it; the behavior is that way. However, good, detailed communication solves lots of troubles. If the responsive gambler is smart enough to make his wife understand he's not like an addicted gambler, they'll be peace in the family.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 28, 2024, 06:08:05 PM
Both are very important to me, I enjoy gambling for fun but also hope that luck will come my way because as a gambler of course I also want to make a profit but that doesn't mean I don't accept it if I lose because I also enjoy gambling. For gamblers, they definitely want additional income to be able to supplement their financial needs, but gambling is just a game so we shouldn't expect to make a profit, but there's nothing wrong with occasionally winning and making a profit and the most important thing is that we think we can have fun in it gamble.

Yes that's right, addressing and treating gambling as an activity for fun is indeed more advisable because with this then indirectly you will not expect too much victory because your main priority is entertainment and not victory, But we as gamblers who prefer to prioritize entertainment or fun does not mean we reject or do not want victory if we are lucky because after all everyone wants and needs money and when you come without expecting too much victory then indirectly when the winning situation comes you will be able to choose to cash it in to enjoy because someone who gambles without focusing too much on winning usually they will not act out of control such as applying greed when they are in a winning situation. On the other hand the danger in gambling is when you push too hard and put excessive expectations on winning because gambling is just a probability activity that only provides the "possibility" between winning or losing, so with us only focusing on fun then we will be able to avoid some out of control actions, on the other hand I see that you have a good understanding of gambling, keep it up.

When looking for an additional income in gambling it puts the player one step behind any other player who doesn't think like this. The act of gambling requires focusing and minding our moves and actions. Hence when the point of gambling is mainly for profits the gambler wouldn't mind neglecting the strategies he had for gambling. Thereby risking his gambling experience and accumulating a bad experience off his gambling activities. It's not a competition. Players have multiple reasons why they take gambling as a competition, which include greed, extra income, and other gambler's wins. I think the casino uses the wins of others exposed on the board, as a means of attracting the attention of those gamblers who chase losses because of the wins of another player. The casino is also using strategies to get more money from the gambler; therefore, a gambler is expected to take his strategies seriously and forgo chasing losses. Timing is the best gambling technique.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 05:58:16 PM
Yes, I think that it can show domestic violence because from continuously losing games, the beast in some men may emerge to hurt their spouse. But please note that. On the other hand, this isn’t the case for everyone because some men can lose a lot of games due to their addiction and when they are home with their wife, they just lay down, sad and depressed.

If someone hits their partner, it’s in them already, the gambling just revealed the truth. GAMBLING ADDICTION IS NO EXCUSE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

I agree with your submission. Whether a gambler exhibits domestic violence or not, is predicated on the fact that individuals are different and so behave differently. Naturally, some gamblers have anger issues and the anger can easily be triggered if such a gambler is addicted because there will always be a transfer of aggression whenever he loses. No doubt, GAMBLING ADDICTION IS NO EXCUSE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE as you have noted, but then, we shouldn`t pay deaf ears to the fact that some addicted gamblers have depicted characters which show domestic violence. Hence, it is my opinion that gambling addiction can trigger domestic violence.

They are differences in people, same in addicted gamblers. The way it happens to a gambler could differ from another. Depending on the player's environment and the type of people surrounding him. A gambler who shows some violent symptoms is not yet ready to change or stop gambling. Those who don't are more remorse over their new habit and seeks help. Such gamblers seek the help of their spouse to help them out of the trouble. So, one shouldn't use the fact he's addicted to cover for his being domestically uncaring. It's a coincident that some gamblers had such problems even before gambling. The double trouble can emerge due to constant losses from the gambler's end. Then he gets sad and paranoid any time he remembers his losses in gambling. Which makes him shout over any little conversation that doesn't sound clean to his ear.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 28, 2024, 05:46:46 PM
A gambler can only commit such reckless wrong doing when he is mentally disordered by severe gambling addiction.

In my opinion, an addicted gambler is mentally disordered. Gambling addiction always manifests in problematic behavior and when a behavior is considered problematic, it is against the prescribed way of living in society. An addicted gambler is likened to a drug addict and so compulsive gambling can affect the brain and this can hinder rationality in the gambler`s thinking. An addicted gambler would find it difficult to know the dangers of his behavior to himself and others. He is only concerned about gambling and so loses consciousness about what is happening around him. This is the manifestation of a mentally disordered person.

He is definitely sick in the head, since he can't control the urge until his wife is back, before he leaves the house. The gravity drags him so strong, and he wouldn't be able to resist. Else he could get violent with himself and people around him. It's more like when a child wants to go to a birthday party and his parents is delaying his outing. He could get sad over the delay from his parent. Same works with adults, but to some extent. The man in the story acted like a toddler, because he had no thoughts of the safety of his kids. Which removes the respect people had for him, before the execution of such behavior. Gambling addiction acts like a substance that highs the brain like drugs. Sometimes it could be more dangerous than drug is to a person. And it's very hard to cure a person of his gambling addiction compared to a drug addict who has some advantages as cross addiction.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 28, 2024, 05:36:56 PM
Gambling addiction will be bad when it becomes a problem. It's not easy to say that it will be fine. In my opinion, gambling addiction is still bad even if it doesn't interfere with other activities. Don't ever feel comfortable with gambling addiction because there are times when we can't resist the temptation. That's why I say Gambling addiction is bad even for positive reasons

Gambling addiction has no positivity, gamblers need to remove such thoughts, in the first place. Considering gambling addiction having a positive aspect could lead some people to gamble recklessly. Once a person is addicted, it only gets worse, not better. Regardless of his ability of controlling himself wouldn't be able to make it out of addiction. Instead, he'd see himself struggle over why he can't stop gambling, unless his money exhausts. Such occurrences are not conducive for a gambler since, his motives won't corelate with his actions. One minute he wants to quit the next minute he's glued to gambling. So, it's fine to say that all form of addiction is bad or wrong. Hence, people should avoid it at all costs. At least staying in control of our emotions is an important attribute of a good gambler.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: January 28, 2024, 05:24:53 PM
Yes, it is normal to experience loss and lose money, but what is unnatural is that many people still cannot accept their defeat and still want to gamble to recover their losses. That would increase their losses even more, and they would not know when to recover their losses. It doesn't feel good to experience loss, but if we can realize that this is a consequence that we have to accept when gambling, we can accept it well. We also won't gamble any longer because we know there is a possibility of experiencing more losses.

By having good discipline and responsibility, we can use gambling as entertainment because we know that chasing victory will only make things difficult for us, and we will not try. We will learn to be responsible gamblers when gambling because we don't want to gamble excessively, which could result in losing even more money.

In a way it is really ironic that those that are unable to accept their losses and keep gambling hoping to recover their money are the ones that will lose the most of it, while those that can deal with the losses they got, as they know very well that gambling is just another hobby for them, will be the ones that will gamble responsibly and only lose what they can afford to lose, and while losing control like this once or twice is still acceptable, if this becomes common place, it would be better for those people to leave gambling behind as it is obvious they cannot really deal with it.

Having fun is a mental decision. A gambler who has conditioned himself to be happy, whether lose or win, would enjoy his stay in the casino with lesser troubles to deal with. While those who get disturbed after multiple loses go home wearing a frowned face, he'd be smiling over his loses and the fun he had while losing his money. When seen outside the gate of the casino, he wouldn't be seen as a person who lost money. Many would think he won some big amount of money. Those who look sad, we easily be tagged losers, which is exactly what they are, because of the sadness in them. Going home happily after gambling is a win for the gambler. Because it benefitted his health, and his money wasn't a waste. Disappointments erupts when the gambler winning expectant wasn't achieved or reached. All his dreams and thoughts of how he'd spend his own money, won't go with it. The player tends to try another day, until he gets to the point where he thinks those dreams of his has been reached.
790  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 28, 2024, 05:07:08 PM
Having a steady income helps the gambler not to bother anybody about money, while gambling. Even if he loses, he has some expectation of more money in few days. Hence, his struggle, in addiction, wouldn't be as injurious, as that of a gambler who depends on other people for money to gamble. Though the risk of losing out in the source of income is there, the gambler could perform lowly in his business. Because of his gambling behavior, depending on how he prepares his mind, may fail to focus more in doing the right things in the business. Having a steady income, has its advantages, but doesn't safeguard a gambler from getting compulsive. So, gamblers whether earning or not, still have to take seriously their emotional stability not to be left behind in the chaos of addiction.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 28, 2024, 04:52:47 PM
The world is filled with gamblers, both traditional and online. It's a very large term and has different meaning and definition. Gambling is an act of choosing between options which we won't know it's outcome. Although with a few more skill one could have a better chance of winning than another. But, to round it up, everyone gambles. However, people would argue about this, but forget that at some point they'll have to gamble on whether to trek or take a ride to a destination. We can't do two things at a given time, that's why we are presented with choices. Players need to know that it mustn't be when we gamble in casinos that's when we are gamblers. Most people who don't like gamblers, may have gambled unknowingly with a friend over an argument or debate. But it's weird to see a gambler who doesn't want to get referred as one. That's really a huge difference in personality.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 28, 2024, 04:41:44 PM
You wont really be needing on going that far on just trying out to discover those things on which it causes for you to gamble on which we do know that this is something that can really be known beforehand on just having those simple understandings. Gambling on day to day basis just to have that kind of belief that you do increase of winning the game then it isnt really something
that a solid thing for you to have and to be followed. This is why it would really be that best that you should really be just that playing gambling for the sake of entertainment and not for seeking or trying to justify about on the odds on how you would gonna win the game.

Its not bad to gamble on day to day basis as long it is really that your vacant time and as long you do have the budget you do have. If you are really that someone whose
really that playing for fun then there would be no issue.

Gambling every day is on different emphasis regarding the attitude of the gambler, and how he manages his expenses. Doing it for the financial benefit doesn't sound right, as the chances are quite very low. When such gamblers win randomly for few days, they'll think it's a good strategy. But will end up losing out all their funds due to lack of management. Time and money. Nothing stops us from playing games every day and wagering few cents to enjoy the game for more time. However, those who wager money on soccer think they have some exception and has a better privilege of winning consistently, unlike slot games. But the stress is almost similar. Unless the player wagers on few games with high amount of money, which increases his chances of winning, spending money on multiple football games, isn't proper. That's why most sport gamblers, lose out just like the slot player. Thereby putting every gambling almost in same winning formula.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 28, 2024, 04:27:11 PM
However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.

This is the spirit of not believing in losing because when you lose, you will be angry and keep playing to recover what you have lost but if you don't have that kind of mentality then if you lose you will not struggle but accept defeat.

Another thing about that is if you are losing, you are mostly likely to lose your concentration on your strategy because you will be doubting your strategy and keep changing strategy. Losing and chasing it back distort your plans so that is the reason for struggling but to have that spirit of understanding that you win and you lose is going to take you away from such predicament.

You are right, Gozie51, he lacks some control while losing, due to the doubt in him of what could be next. The player gets eager to see what's next till he gets emotionally depressed. Understanding that it's normal to lose in gambling, is a competent reminder for minimizing the wagering amount. But only few gamblers would go through such route as chasing loss without complaining. It's not a simple gambling journey, although minimized expenses would help the gambler not to regret his actions, players still wager high amount hoping for a next big win. Not only that it gets depressing to consistently lose money without profit, but that's also not what anybody want. Humans don't like what they don't want, when something they don't want keeps occurring to them, the person will most likely get sad and worried. Gambling by offering winning chances, made it hard for the person to stop receiving what he doesn't want, losses.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 09:49:11 AM
Being addicted to gambling can be a thorn in the flesh. We have heard many bad behavior from gambling addicts that shows that gambling is a serious concern requiring serious efforts at curbing it. Many casinos also include in their disclaimer "gamble responsibly" and this shows the danger of gambling addiction.

However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.
Possibly, that could be one effect of addiction. Domestic violence doesn't only come from gambling addiction, but for someone who has already been addicted, they might not be able to act normally. Gambling often leads to things like anxiety, depression, and loss of emotional control. If someone isn't careful and doesn't learn to control themselves against these issues, they might end up becoming violent.

A violent addict would commit many unreasonable acts as long as they can satisfy that urge. These bad behaviors could eventually turn such a person into a monster if not controlled. Gambling addiction may lead to unexpected consequences that can harm the person involved and those around them.

The gradual growth of emotional meltdown if not attended to would get drastically bad and affect the victim alongside his family. Nobody would get fine staying in same house with an aggressive gambler. However, if they had taken his symptoms seriously in the early stages it could remove the future domestic violence that may occur. That is quite a wrong side of gambling addiction, dealing with violence, and addiction at same time. The victim wouldn't get out of his troubles easily, because talking him down on what he's doing could result to violence. A man with a spouse will answer lots of questions from his wife, if he's acting strange, hence a man who isn't able to control his emotions can abuse the conversation and end it up into a violent encounter. So, indeed, gambling addiction can lead to domestic violence.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 28, 2024, 09:34:33 AM
Its not hypocritical everyone definitely wants to win to gain profits in gambling, but I have a different opinion and depending on the game I'm playing if I play slots I think of it as having fun I just enjoy every spin and don't really hope to win big but if by chance I getting a jackpot means that it is my luck and I immediately take it and don't try to spend it in just 1 game. But if I don't get anything when playing slots, it doesn't really matter because I have prepared my funds to have fun playing slots.

However, when I bet on sports, I really need a profit because I use skills and analyze it first before starting to bet and hope to make a profit, sometimes I win and sometimes I lose, but I can still control myself to accept all that. In sports betting, I don't always make a profit, so sometimes I also while enjoying it because the important thing is that I use money that I can afford to lose.

No gambler easily gets profits from both slots and sport gambling. The aim is mainly for fun purposes. Ready to take up any result that appears on the screen. Slot is quite fun and should be enjoyed sparingly, as it gets to a point where the fun takes up all our funds, leaving us sad. Hence a gambler needs to understand the act of management. Controlling his thoughts and money as well. Chasing over the funds or financial benefits of gambling can lead a gambler to chronic mental darkness. Which will cover his views of the future and the strategy he planned on while gambling. The goal is to stay safe and responsible, not making money without some bearing of mind on ways to control the funds, or a method to spend it. There is no use of making huge money that wouldn't grow or help in advancing the financial economy of the gambler in future.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 28, 2024, 09:21:30 AM
A well written sad story can't believe I read it through to understand why exactly the man could forget about his kids. He's caused some domestic problems to himself and family. Including his neighbors, who got disturbed by the man's action. These people he'd need to write some letter of apology to, for his mistakes. A father is expected to love his kids more than any other thing. Now he's proven to cherish gambling over the safety of his kids. The man is in severe addiction and should be taken to the rehab for some help. However, the emotional stress that action have caused the kids, is quite unbearable. Coupled with the fact that they'll stay more years without seeing their dad, if he's detained in prison for this felony. Another disadvantage of offline casino, spotted, for people who compare between both platforms.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 28, 2024, 09:08:56 AM
Try harder not to let it get to a stage where you'd find it difficult to quit even when winning. The behavioral changes you are feeling needs you to take a rest. Don't gamble for some time. Because when you find it hard to stop when losing it's the main problem. Not about stopping after winning. Losses come more than winning. That means you'd lose more during the process and think all is right since you can easily stop if there is eventually a win. Playing games with your emotions also affects how you think. Sentiments doesn't work in gambling. Do what you think should be done, to escape addiction or problem gambling. If taking a break from gambling could change you, then do it without delay. Resume back once you've taken over your emotions and able to control the actions you take. However, it's always difficult for one to escape alone from such a trouble. Opening up to close friends or family would be right. Goodluck with finding a solution.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: January 28, 2024, 08:56:46 AM
The gaming community is affected by streamers and influencers on YouTube and Twitch. Attractive people and interesting content are often what draw people to certain game platforms. People are interested in a certain casino because of the advice and stories from these famous people. Watchers should be careful and think carefully about this kind of material, though. Whatever an influencer says about a gaming platform, people who are interested should still check it out for themselves and think about things like its reputation, licenses, and safety measures for responsible gambling before they start playing. Not doing your own research before taking famous people's advice can also lead to risks and bad results when gaming.

Generally speaking, people desire what is being desired. If the influencer publishes his contents in a manner that makes people to desire winning like him. Such habit begins to erupt the moment the gambler is now too committed to winning like other jackpot winners. The thoughts of not winning or seeing someone's else winning in gambling, could look quite confusing why it's not gotten to the gambler, yet. Those reasonings could affect the brain power of the consumer to realize he's no longer in control of himself, and has nothing to do with that, saving himself and other reasonable requirements. So, taking games from people is also risky, but reduces the gambler some time, if he bothers less about rechecking the validity of the game.
The way influencers attracts viewers also cater some factors why there are people who got attached to gambling,  like what you said there are influences regarding to how influencer managed to cash out some decent amounts from the gambling site that they are promoting, some gamblers have that desire to gain that same fate and they will start using the platform,  though  nit that. Any are being directly influence by those streamers there are some who really love playing even without any influence but they are just playing and gamble with their fate.

Yeah, the gambling streaming niche is not that famous amongst all gamblers. There are lots of gamblers who don't watch streamers, but one way or another are attracted to gambling. Adverts are being scattered all over the society, and the best advert in the world is the word of mouth. When people in a society or environment now discuss about gambling. The only difference between such people and those who joined due to streamers, is the diversity in platforms. The gambling niche has a big PR, it's left for each platform to struggle for his own share of the traffic. That's what the streamers are helping the casinos achieve, in a well-engineered way such that the newbies wouldn't have to rethink, they go straight to gambling in the casino.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 27, 2024, 09:33:19 PM

It almost ends in loan for most gamblers. A good reason to stay careful with those rush and fierce entangling with the minds of gamblers who has lost a lot of money. Looking at other scenarios of losing out money in a business, most people would want to get the money back by consistently trying the business, with hopes of getting to the top of the business someday. If a gambler is careful with his newly developed habit, he can easily find a better means of moderately chasing for his loss, without thoughtless heads as you said. The mistake emerges from doing things with no reason or responsibility for our money. What is most important as gamblers is the money and mental health. Both may be interconnected in the human brain, losing money and mental health. Such that when one continuously loss money, his mental health would be affected. Gambling is a choice, not like a con, players should take charge of the privilege.
Your understanding of the balance between financial loss and emotional health is touching. I've seen many gamblers and non-gamblers dance to it without realizing it. As you noted, risk management is key, not avoidance. Gamblers with discipline and a firm awareness of their limits can chase losses without becoming irresponsible. You must control the adrenaline, not let it overwhelm you.

I believe gambling can be fun and even transformative if done properly. Recognising the game as such is key. A place to test one's luck, learn decision-making under pressure, and most importantly, discover oneself. We must protect our financial and mental health as we move through this place, as they are interwoven. Gambling, like any other endeavor, requires balance, self-awareness, and accountability.
