781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't become a big investor by public opinion. on: March 15, 2024, 10:10:02 PM
Even who bought Bitcoin when it was less than 10 cents may not even dreamt of seeing Bitcoin valued of 70K and optimistic is too far away for this kind of price difference, they saw something different and decided to throw some money that they have spent on useless gadget or whatever.
Indeed, many people left the distance or simply lost access to their Bitcoins. Since a lot of time has passed since prices were very low, but the community was not as large as it is now; there were not so many exchanges and services and even media. I know personally there are several people who have Bitcoins and bought them for less than 1k and continue to hold them because their goal is 100k and then they will calmly sell them.

$1K is considerably big amount when we are talking about the value in single digit or even lesser and that's why it's estimated around 4 million Bitcoins were lost simply because owners didn't have access to the wallet/seeds anymore. Well that made the price more higher and from now on people even hold fraction of it will be lot more careful.
Many of the dominant Bitcoin that we think that was lost might not be lost. There are people who still have access to there Bitcoin but decided to leave it there because they have nothing to do with it. When we have enough funds to spend I don't think we would have to temper without our Bitcoin holding even though the price keeps falling and falling, there is nothing to lose at all. There are so many wallets containing huge number of Bitcoin that are just in there resting phase. The owners have nothing to do with it and left it domant for years without any move to transfer it or sell it.
Well I don't know about that though, but there's still big possibility that it is true that these wallet owners still have access to them but on another note their is still every possiblity that the owners might have lost access to these wallet because having or leaving coins untouched for so many years is something that I can say only a few percentage of persons can do even if you claim to have all the money to spend and feel not to touch it, it might even be that some of these wallet are owned by people who weren't that certain of the growth of Bitcoin and bought it as low price then with the thought out of curiosity.
782  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How we fit benefit from FG clampdown on Binance? on: March 15, 2024, 09:55:42 PM
The whole country know say federal government dey give Binance serious wahala for the past one month now. Them say the exchange follow make naira dey fall. How them take reach that conclusion I nor know but that one nor be wetin I won discuss with una today. As kasala don jam Binance, e nor go bad make our local crypto platforms step up to fill the space wey Binance don leave. Bitcoin Chief, Patricia, Roqqu and the rest for seize the opportunity, add more features to their platform, instead of just being p2p platforms, them fit become exchanges. With the problems Binance users for Nigeria dey face, e nor go hard for them to get the volume in a year or two.
E go make sense but I doubt say me I go gats do anything concerning some of those exchange wey you just mention especially that Patricia platform because I remember vividly not too long ago they actually had some problems with their platform and I think some persons coins sef been hang for that place.

But for the case of Nigeria and binance, well watin I fit talk be say people don already move on like this, although me still dey use binance very well but na for other purpose den and again there are other reputable and big exchanges wey men still dey trade their coins on a steady like kucoins, bybit and yellowcard.

Oga you already get a fare share of merit sef for your profile so just do watin you think say you do to get those 23merits wey dey read for your profile bro. But Incase you dey feel say the merit isn't coming then what you will do is nothing but just keep reading, gathering and compiling knowledge because na only then na you go know how to do stuffs or write article that are merit worthy but if you wan run faster than yourself then na you go humble, believe me this forum doesn't like desperate merit haunters or fishers.
784  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Nor be Your Data Finish, Na Underwater internet cable cut cause am on: March 15, 2024, 09:41:45 PM
On a very serious note, I no dey encounter any network challenges but ever since 3 days ago I just dey see some kind of posts for Internet about this our network wahalas.
IMO I feel am say this network wahala na only for some areas nai the network dey worry.
I still dey feel am say no be everybody dey affected by this network issues.
But make we wait oo,, nah everytime nai we go dey hear different stories? First nah them deactivate p2p from binance because of some kind of government policies, and now network wahala done join, this country no want make we get any access to crypto or waiting?
How network wahala now come take concern this country trying to restrict person from accessing crypto again na ? Sha you know say na every body dey use the network and the particular network wey get issues sef na MTN wey no be even Nigerian government get am and besides how dem wan take regulate this matter to only crypto users, that's if watin you dey mean even make sense sef, the thing wey I feel be say na normal thing and no be today person start see network problem and wahala so if anyone shift am comes reach matter about government trying to regulate or restrict crypto for Nigeria nai be say dat person na no watin him dey talk.

786  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Our newbies de ternish Nigeria, image too much for main boards on: March 14, 2024, 11:42:28 PM
This is the third of this thread in just few weeks. I did against this type of thread in the past because I knew we may be posting about something like this in new threads continuously and it is happening. I am not against giving your own opinion on the threads you people are referring to but no need of creating new thread about it.
Thank God say no be only me dey experience or see this thing because the thing come dey do me like say na devaju experience I dey get here for the local board. The thing is that users should first scan the board well before jumping to create similar thread or topic here although I understand the urge and reason for the Op to do so because if we come to reason am true true , these so called newbies have being doing a whole lot of damages which like what he said is not good for the image of our local board.
787  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: If you can't Invest in Bitcoin, buy assets on: March 14, 2024, 10:18:44 PM
Investing must not only be bitcoin,  their are other profitable investment that one can go into. When it comes to investment it is good to diversify, apart from bitcoin their are good investment to go into. Their are other physical investment to go after, it must not be cryptocurrency only. Everybody must no invest in cryptocurrency,  their are also good physical investment.
Real estate business is really nice and is something that every entrepreneur or business man that wants to make it should think of and that's why it's always advisable to start up something different or actually diversify your investment to actually get good balance to where your incomes flows. Having different incomes flows and investment is probably the best idea for any successful person and many persons fail to access this secret and know the importance that comes with this.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: March 14, 2024, 09:49:01 PM
Do you have a sports that you keep betting on even though you don’t watch this sports live or you don’t know the full specifications of this game?

In my case, I keep betting on tennis whenever I have spare money on my casino balance from my VIP rewards(Rakeback) after my long game session on live games. I’m not really a fan of sports betting in general but I do place bet randomly on tennis especially the Asian Handicap on live match. I’m always betting on the underdog that already has 1 set advantage to the favorite players. I do this bet just for fun no string attached.

I believe this is the literal definition of “gamble what you can afford to lose”.  Grin

Well if you are a real gambler then I believe they would be lots of sports that you actually don't watch but do place a bet on them maybe due to the fact that you have done research on that particular sports, well I don't know if this logic implies to all but for me I think I have a couple of sports like that and one of them is basketball. I have no interest in basketball whatsoever to watch but I do stake on some teams in the sports and another sports is baseball although I was got interested in a particular team which is the Yankees and this was because of a movie I watch about the new York Yankees.
789  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 14, 2024, 06:45:19 PM
We have seen Bitcoin reach 70k USD and it even reached a point of 71k briefly. We are seeing history being made right here with the new all time high being set once again and it is happening even before halving.

I have high expectations that bitcoin will reach 100k but will it reach 100k without any major decline in price? Does it seem realistic that from 70k, bitcoin will continuously rise up?
We have seen Bitcoin reach an all-time high of $73k. Bitcoin continues to make new highs, breaking the analysis of many in many ways. The way Bitcoin is starting to grow, it looks like Bitcoin will stay in the $80,000 range very soon. However, Bitcoin is expected to go higher from here without any major decline. If Bitcoin price goes to $100k before the bull season then I think Bitcoin price can go above $100k to $200k in a bull market. So hold on those who invested you will surely get more success.
I don't understand what you mean by Bitcoin reaching 100k before the bull season, I mean what season will you then classify this now. I like to believe that we are already in the bull market and thats why the price is making massive progress and it's very clear also because other coins too have all started pushing up. Although I think I understand the reason why you feel this isn't yet a bull season, is it because the halving isn't here yet? Well one thing about Bitcoin price movement is that it's volatile and completely understanding it is almost impossible.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 14, 2024, 06:33:19 PM
The positive side is, there is always a chance to win a bet no matter the risk. Someone will win it even at just 50/50 odds.
On the downside, he would lose all his savings to pay for his high confidence on a game with 50/50 odds. The chances of winning and losing are the same, but he also has the potential to lose all his money if he loses. This is not something that would be great to imitate in gambling, but some desperate gamblers might do it.
The Thing is that these gamblers are fund of doing all these kind of things and I say this maybe due to the fact that they might have been practicing the act little by little till they got so confident to do it on a large scale and that's why some gamblers don't even reason the consequences involved if they lose the bet because they are used to such pressures and risk but I believe for a gambler who is not used to such risk, I know for sure that he will certainly going to think twice before involving in such risk.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100% percent scam airdrop don't get involved. on: March 13, 2024, 09:49:52 PM
Thanks for the heads-up, I think I have corrected that, atleast it would still save some curious minds and eager persons from actually going through to see if what is posted is real and funny enough maybe 1 or 2 might still be ignorant enough to still fall despite the warnings place because humans are fund of doing silly things sometimes.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 13, 2024, 08:44:36 PM
Whenever a gambler is faced with such option, it all depends on the past experience with that gambler because they are so many gamblers that have maybe tried to gamble with such risk before and maybe it have worked for them and so when they are faced with such tension they still have the mind to gamble with such risk hoping that the outcome will still be the same as the time they tried and it worked.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 13, 2024, 08:35:14 PM
While in a football view centre last night, some of the football fans were arguing with the opposite football fans strongly defending their teams.

There one of the team guy said... Yes we loosed the match but that does not mean I will deny my team for that because the nature of football is that you would win somedays and you looses somedays too.
So he say... I love my team to the core that I will always stand by them and even if it is obvious that they were going to loose a match, I will still bet in support that they would win the match.

Question: Can you have so much love for your team to behave like this guy that even when you know your love fans team would loose a match, would you still further stake on the match against your team?
Remember that we are catching funs here and whoever chasing after profits is at its own will.
I think this depends on the mood and the amount of funds I have for that day because I believe that if the funds is available and it won't cost me anything then as a football lover and a supporter of the club, I wouldn't mind staking on the game or the team even if they are losing because I would be just be doing it for the love of football and nothing else even if I am certain that they will lose and besides there is no certainty to that happening so I guess we will just have to just till the game is decided.
794  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When will you finally buy on: March 13, 2024, 08:28:51 PM
To the procrastinators in the building, when will you finally buy? Or you're looking for one sweet excuse you will use this time around?
People with no interest in Bitcoin will always look for excuses whenever you ask them when they wants to buy, and they will be ready to talk about negative things about Bitcoin when the market go bearish, but they will always keep silent when the price is pumping.

Buying Bitcoin has no time, you can buy anytime you want to buy. DCA method is also available in case you don’t have money to buy at once.
Sometimes I feel its EGO too, because I have this particular friend of mine that always want to prove that he is right despite all the things that are going on now and the sight that he is seeing about the pump that is happening to Bitcoin this period but yet he still choose to detest and say it's a trap and if he buys something bad will happen and when I meet such ignorant and poor minded persons, the best thing I do is just probably to ignore them and let them strive in their big EGO and ignorance.
795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need honest advise concerning this. on: March 13, 2024, 08:21:58 PM
I've been advised that as a newbie i shouldn't rush but to learn from old forum members and grow. But then, I've seen that for one to grow over here you need to get merited and on a regular basis, well i believe at this point i should've been able to acquire some merits, despite the fact that I'm still a Newbie but then i don't see the Merits coming, even after some post i felt could fetch the Merits. It makes me wonder if my posts are not Merit worthy or Quality enough.

Though it almost got me díscouraged, however instead of being discouraged, I'm open to learning ways or how to get the Merits and grow on here, my questions are what I'm i doing wrongly? How can i improve it and also where is the best board to write on if i need these Merits coming?

Well I have been where you are and I think the fault was actually from me because I focus all ma energy on trying to get merit instead of trying as much as possible to actually write and get involved in some discussion because that's the only way that you can acquire anything that will be helpful to you. Knowledge is power and what you don't know is very bigger than you so get involved in discussion by writing and not writing gibberish so that when a merit source or other members here come across your merit they can merit the work.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 13, 2024, 08:13:34 PM
Hi,

As everyone knows the goal of betting is to get the largest amount of money , knowing that the risks do not change whether you bet a large or small amount, and sometimes the amount you bet with is your capital, and this drains you of your time and money, and perhaps your work and daily tasks.

Do you think that the benefits in gambling Worth the invest of your money and your time with knowing that your chances are Just 50/50?

The thing is that you just understand that gambling is something that is flexible and there is no guarantee of any winning in the first place and that's why it's said to always gamble because of the fun you can possibly get but some persons feel that with an increase in staking power and reduction in odds or risk that the possibility of winning comes closes which if you ask me is just a mere mirage to the horrors that awaits any gambler with such mentality.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 100% percent scam airdrop don't get involved. on: March 13, 2024, 05:23:30 PM
So recently there have being massive wave of awareness and invitation on going on telegram and God knows where else about the particular airdrop IRON which for some reason and surprise have such high value when you check out the price value listed on trust wallet.

Note::that's the Link for the airdrop please just for reference sake
Code:
https://t.me/IRONStablecoinAirdropBot?start

So the airdrop is actually a scam and when users try to actually swap it on their trust wallet instead of them getting same results as promised, they are ripped off of their money as fee Instead. The whole thing will look so legit for a newbie in the crypto world because they dropped a video link which even convince the participant of this airdrop to believe that they can actually claim the IRON worth the price of dollar that is displayed on their trust wallet.

Supposed link for the actual swap of the coin

www.IRONswap.wiki

Please we should all be careful out there

The bull season is here and they are more and more of such projects and scam ongoing so we should all be careful out there so that we won't fall victim cause of our self greed and quest for actual free money because their is no such thing as FREE MONEY ANYWAY
798  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will Nigeria crypto and forex traders ever enjoy liberty?? on: March 12, 2024, 08:15:01 PM
The government open the eyes of crypto users to discovered many exchange platform that can allow users to buy and sell crypto without making use of binance exchange platform because binance platform is the most popular exchange platform that has the highest population of Nigeria crypto users.

Traders are enjoying liberty OP, do you know that Nigeria traders are still trading their coins every night and day to take profit from the market, despite the banned the federal government of Nigeria announced few months ago to banned one popular exchange platform in Nigeria.
For me this na the worse wey them fit do because dem feel say with the ban on binance e go stop people from investing and trading dollar and maybe given their valueless naira some hope to rise up but that totally different from what is happening because binance have been stopped from having anything concerning naira on it but that no mean say na only binance dem get because a whole lot of different exchange still dey wey people dey do their things on a low.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A call to self-examining our gambling habit. on: March 12, 2024, 08:05:55 PM
Unfortunately, most gamblers don't bother spending time to evaluate or self-examine themselves to gather important information whether we need more of an attention or minimize everything we do in gambling and we should also have to determine what is normal or not.

I actually do this thing that is why I see postive results in my gambling activity as I am now more disciplined compared to my previous years in gambling which for me is very irresponsible. I skipped meal for gambling, I spend more than I can afford to lose before but now I've learned through self assessment.
Sometimes it very hard even for those that overcome that crazy urge to gamble and that's why the need to steadily check yourself is of utmost importance because the moment you lay lose you would be surprised to what might possibly be the outcome and that why even for people like you who have been there and experience how reckless gambling is, nobody gets to advice you not to buckle up because you would definitely see the effects if you don't straighten up.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get one btc right away or 5 btc with a bet? on: March 12, 2024, 07:51:48 PM
It's not always easy to make the right decisions. Are you a gambler? If you're offered 1 btc without playing or 5 btc by playing (with a chance of 2 to 1). What do you do?

The more the merrier, I think I will definitely go with the 5btc besides there is no specification on the particular amount of games to be gambled on so I can choose to gamble it on a very low odd, maybe something like 0.5 goals not even caring about the odd.

But in the case where there is specification on what to do with the 5btc like a fix odd or a particular type of game then I will definitely choose the free money that doesn't require any risk at all.
