782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 26, 2024, 01:02:29 PM
Hello gamblers, this is a kind of survey aimed at getting to know my fellow gamblers better, particularly in the context of sports betting. I would like to know your average bet amount and your monthly income.

You don't need to provide exact figures; an estimate would suffice. Through this discussion, we can assess whether we are being too aggressive in our gambling habits or if we are playing it safe with our bets.
I know many people say this, that their betting amount is ratio according to their earnings, maybe 10-15 percent but for me I won't lie, I really don't have a specific amount of money I put into gambling, I just gamble whenever am in the mood and I usually gamble in free hours and that's not much comparing the kind of work I do, but if am to put into figure then I think that will be around 7% of my monthly earning.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 26, 2024, 12:57:49 PM

How would you feel if you had the opportunity to cashout this amount, and later loose all?

most times people always find it difficult to cashout their fund when they have the opportunity,  due to having that mindset that they want to go home with the Goody bag. by so doing Sometimes the game will end without them winning a dime. but loosing all to nothing. while some will cashout, and later the game will end well and they will start regretting why dey didn't wait to the final.
now my question this,

cashing out or waiting till the end of game which is more better?

Well I don't see the remaining games in your betslip if not I would made my decision through the risk that particular game carries that's if it's just one game remaining but if the games are more than one then cashing out the game is probably the best option to take because taking the half is better than losing all the money so I think cash out is better in some cases while as the situation permits leaving too is also not a bad option.
784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much Did you like this forum on: January 26, 2024, 12:53:55 PM

785  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 26, 2024, 12:50:04 PM
for the year it is still difficult to reach 100k dollars. although this year is a halving year. but usually in the year of halving the usual bitcoin price does not skyrocket high. but usually 1 year after halving the new bitcoin price can skyrocket high.
for this year I answer clearly will not be able to reach 100k dollars but if next year there is still a chance to reach 100k dollars
What you say could be like that, but the influence before the halving will certainly provide encouragement for the movement of bitcoin. If the price can be above $50K, instead of being corrected, of course reaching $100K could happen at the end of this year.
but usually after the halving,  the movement will slowly increase, but of course what is hoped is that next year a renewable ATH can be formed with quite fantastic values.
Everyone in the entire crypto space is hoping for this increase and the best we can do is to buy and keep holding. For the price reaching 100k before the end of this year, well I can't really tell but I know that Bitcoin will set new ATH come 2025 but the only thing am hoping for is that the price should just go lower to the value of 35k so people who just bought Bitcoin can buy more and wait to see the end result.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To any Bitcoin holder who lost their seed: How did you lose it? on: January 26, 2024, 12:45:25 PM
What mistakes did you make, and what advice do you have for others to be careful?

What are the best and worst ways of storing a seed in your opinion?
I never lost my seed phrase before and I think this forum here is responsible for that because my time here has let me know how vital keeping your seed phrase is. Imagine having millions of dollars on your wallet and then you woke up one morning and you lost the device to which the wallet is located and you want to get access to that account, I could only imagine the frustration that one would face and I pray I never experienced such situation in my life.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 25, 2024, 11:44:16 PM
As a gambler what do you think that should be the right time we suppose to leave gambling weather we are making profits or we are not making profits with gambling, because I know quite well that gambling whenever you are making profits you will wish to continue gambling unless that you run out of cash.
This will depend on the contentment of the gambler as we can see, even old people still into gambling and some consider this as their kill time since they don't have anything to do and most of them prefer to gamble more. Personally, I can't tell when I will stop to gamble since I'm just an occasional gambler and didn't have much expectation in gambling that's why I can stop gambling anytime, this is not a big deal for me.
Just like we say gambling is for fun same things for this old man, maybe he just tired of doing nothin and he just craves that kind of rush to his his blood when he was abit hunger. Gambling is always fun when you actual don't have mind in doing it and this is part where plenty gamblers fall victim because the y don't know what they are doing. Even the old men do enjoy gambling because for some reason and aslo this saying old habits never die and also the reason when he head the money.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 25, 2024, 04:28:02 AM
👉 track their anonymously: so far I've noticed that most scams don't project any team members to the public and if they do they are mostly fake and this way could be very effective than reading a whole whitepaper. Check if the project has any real life representative and follow them up and see if they are posting in line with their big project in hand. Why i feel this is a good idea is because they are still afraid of the government too.

You would be surprised by the extent and to what limit they are willing to go  in order to carry out a very precise scam. Scammers are evolving everyday and the same way you are being updated about information that's the same way they too get these informations if not nothing I can even say they are more relentless when it comes to achieving their goal thats why I don't believe any calls whatsoever from any team members because if the scammers are out and serious they could formulate all these things, I mean how hard could it be for scammers to set up other scammers themselves as team members.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saudi Arabia 1M BTC BUY !! on: January 25, 2024, 04:17:05 AM
There is a rumour going on about an potential $500 billion investment into BTC by the Saudi governments, As we know today BTC just dropped below $40k. I am having a very strong feeling that this would be the perfect time to invest, What are your thoughts about this and price predictions for next week if the this "rumour" becomes a reality?

Are you sure that blackrock isn't messing up the Bitcoin price? At current level it is the best time to buy Bitcoin. So I won't be surprised if the news of 500 billion USD investment is actually true. I won't be surprised if blackrock suddenly emergence as the biggest institutional Bitcoin holder of all time. A lot of manipulations are on going in the background.

After the approval of ETF, we all thought that Bitcoin price will touch a new all time high. Clearly that isn't the case. Someone with far more power than we can imagine, is surely messing up with Bitcoin in the open market.
I mean the expectations only actually made the price to go high during those period, this whole scandal with the approval of Bitcoin ETF was just too hyped that the price has already risen so when the SEC actually did approve it there was nothing to hype anymore although like you said many top hands can still influence the price of Bitcoin and its market as we have seen that some scenario and happenings also causes these price fluctuation.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a social or casual good guesser make better gambling prediction carrier? on: January 24, 2024, 11:09:13 PM
Funny enough my dear gamblers, something artrageous just happened within i and colleagues at work where we engaged on a "guessing and challenging game" daring ourselves in such a critical and lucky guesses.
E.G, *Guess where I am from.
*How many kids do you think I have?
 * How many hours/minutes do you think I drives from my house to work?
 * What high institution do you think I attended?
 * What is my 2nd childs shoe size?

These is a scenero of such game. Behold dear gamblers, someone in our midsts was able to make an exact 10 right guesses out of this challenge meanwhile others could even make count of a single right guess

This opted one of us to say to the champion that.... Oh wow, man, you are professional guesser. Maybe someone like you could be a professional gambling predictional.

I am concerned to ask, can such a person build a gambling carrier with such an excellent guessing prohibition? Or he should trash it all and believe that gambling predictions remains a game of luck?

What a story, well I will skip and go straight to the point which gambling is not something that anyone can be a professional at it especially when it comes to guessing I mean what are the odds that this is even possible to make exactly 9 guesses complete without knowing something about them or maybe he got an hint because this is certainly some crazy story well if it's actually true and I don't think gambling is will be anymore fun if the speculation and unpredictable nature is no longer there.
791  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why it's very risky to leave your coin in an exchange on: January 24, 2024, 10:21:39 PM
My country people good evening inside this evening, e get one thing I wan talk about wey I think say na very big mistakes and disaster waiting to happen if we continue that trend, see most of us crypto enthusiastic no know how risky e be to leave our coin in an exchange, if you don here about this phrase, not your key, not your coin, you go understand well wetin I dy try to talk.

Their are some questions we need to ask our self, question like, if this exchange all my coin dy get K leg, na who I wan hold? Make we try use people dy learn, make we no allow am to happen to us first before we learn,  that is why for this forum them dy always dy advice everyone to use self custodian wallet, so that you no go wake up one morning come dy hear stories about your investment.
Make we just look how FTX just run into bankruptcy wey make so many people money plus life savings get K leg till today,  abeg make we thread wisely.
This na normal warning wey dem give us every time even as we dey and I no know if you don actually hear this saying wey talk say so far as no be you get the key no be your coins and this issue with exchange nai go explain this saying properly. If you leave your coins for exchange, na the exchange nai get the  exchange nai get full control because of say e dey centralize and you fit hear story say dem don hack their company and all your coins don go be that so keeping it offline is always better because dat one na you get your keys.
792  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, when to buy on: January 23, 2024, 08:51:55 PM
If you use the (DCA) Dollar Costing Average method then any time is suitable for you to buy bitcoins. Because with DCA method you can reduce your purchase price a lot. Moreover, currently the market is slowly going deep. So I think now is the right time for you to buy bitcoin but definitely using (DCA) method.

This short dip is an excellent opportunity for holder to top their investment and have good value to the Bitcoin because when the price is low the better the rate of Bitcoin you will have and ofcourse the DCA strategy is probably the best but for chances like this it's better to go wild and buy big that's if funds is available. Most people that use the DCA strategy are mostly people that tend strategize their income flow so they can meet up with accumulation and still with other things.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 23, 2024, 07:41:10 PM
Earning money from crypto isn't an easy task, as we generally think. You should have enough knowledge to identify fake or real things in the crypto market. You shouldn't be influenced by influencers here. You can follow them for learning and analysis purposes. Don't make any investment decisions when influencers say anything. Cryptocurrency is volatile, and you have to make real-time decisions. Most of the influencers are paid by projects where they wash our brains. So instead, we have to use our own brains during investment, and we also always need to avoid free money offers.
So many people are just in the lost because of the wrong taught they have when it comes to making money from the crypto space and Bitcoin  in particular. The opportunities are there no doubt but the level of risk involved is also crazy because the same way you can earn that's same way you can lose so actually checking out what you are getting your self involved would with and if you still choose the Bitcoin investment then you will now know that there is no such thing as free money in the crypto space.
794  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Newbies make una stop those off topic posts ASAP on: January 23, 2024, 07:30:00 PM
I know say post like this been don dey exist, forgive me, but this one too pain me to express my thoughts for old thread.

Newbie abeg I use God take beg una, make una try dey increase the quality of post. This forum no be where you go just wake up from sleep then anything wey you jam for social media you go carry am come dey talk for board. With the little time wey I don dey this forum and this board to be precise, I know how many of our boss at the top they work effortlessly to try make the local board for dey better and outstanding. But all these una off topic post Dem wey no get head don dey too much. Last year we deliberate on this matter, e come be like say the off topic  come reduce but now e don dey come up again.

Well as far as new members  dey come the forum this kind of things no go stop so the best you and everyone of us can do is to keep the word flying so that eventually things might turn around with this newbies because most of them are really confused on how to go about things and I believe with good orientation they might actually turn up which I have seen several cases of users do.
795  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Opay SCAM...Beware!!! on: January 23, 2024, 06:29:47 PM
The QR code on Opay is used for paying. If you scan the QR code, that means you want to send money to the scammer, but you can only do that by authorizing it with your payment pin/password or fingerprint. Could some peoole be so foolish to proceed?

I do not read any message from Opay as long as I do not authorize for it. So if scammer sends the scam message, I can not read it.
It will only take a novice or someone inundated with alcohol or drugs to fall for this cheap scam. Like you rightly said, the QR code contain the detail of the receiving address of anyone who provided it, in this case the scammer. Unless you are under the influence of something, there is no way you will authorise such payment unless they give other things you are paying for. However, scammers are getting smarter by the day, they would have found a way around this that will enable them still steal from their victims. Therefore, we should be careful with vulnerable banking platforms like the wallet accounts. If you are not sure of what you are paying for or where the money is going, it's better you don't send.
Funny how you say this because you would be surprised the kind of scam people actually fall for, like you said you can never fall for this but I believe inside the 200+ millions of Nigerians out their I can bet someone can be so naive to actually fall victim. Scammers are ever ready and they always look for alternative to execute their scam and like you said maybe they have another feature to this scam that can make it look real enough for some crazy folks to actually fall for this. You know they say curiousity can do lots of things and many people do shit just to fulfill their curios thought.
796  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Patience is required after investing in bitcoin on: January 23, 2024, 06:22:06 PM
My Naija people, why do some people complain about selling their coin, is it because they can't keep it for a long time again? I believe many people thought this year is the bull run, and before the end of the previous year, you will see many people buying bitcoin because they said the bull run is coming, and no one wants to miss out on the opportunity.

Most people  are just after the bull run to make their profit and sell their coins but when they see some slight drop which ie not correspondence to their thought they immediately opt-out untimely.  They are only after the profit so they're not considering  any kind of long term holding
Before anyone buys Bitcoin and decides to keep it, it's obvious that it's because of the profit so saying they are only after the profits make it sound somehow as if the coin people are keeping is for decoration. The only thing is that there is a cycle of long waiting tied up to the profits and I believe before anyone thinks of getting into something he or she must try and make research first about what he or she is putting their hands if not he might probably just sell off due to lack of understanding and of course impatient.
797  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No because of say you no get profits now take sell your coins. on: January 22, 2024, 08:28:39 PM
This bitcoin investment no be work so I no see why person go put hope for bitcoin investment, bitcoin na digital currency and the major reason why people dey hold bitcoin na the volatility nature and na hedge against inflation, sometimes when people procrastinate about their investment that one na their concern cause na wetin go bring benefit and yet you still dey procrastinate. Profit or not any person wey choose bitcoin investment suppose know say bitcoin price dey fluctuate and patience na the best when dealing with investment like this.
Thank you my sister/brother, you don talk well because me just tire for the matter oo, if to say you wan trade the coins I go understand because you go know say that one no be investment again because if you invest in Bitcoin and you trade am sef na very big risk be that. So you putting your hope say the investment wey you dey do go give you huge profits in a specific period na just plain misunderstanding to watin Bitcoin investment dey about.
798  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies how do you feel when your post is criticised. on: January 22, 2024, 08:21:00 PM
Before starting this topic so many things have been on my mind because I know how it pains for someone to criticise a write up or a post.

In a forum like this where so many intellects are contributing to a particular discussion there is always a room for criticism and the ability for you as newbie to absorb it as a learning process makes you unique and smart . For me Criticism is a process of learning because when ever I am been criticised I usually seize the opportunity to add more knowledge because I often see it as a corrective measures to widen my horizon .

Additionally, I will sincerely advice all the newbies who are quick to anger or discouraged when their post are been criticised to see it as a means of learning and not to react rudely because mistake brings correction .
Good advice and I think only people that don't like being corrected think that correction is some of insult or wickedness. I have read so many newbie post that complain about how people here tend to blast them whenever they go off and I would just say over and over again that all of us were once newbie and this is not something that is done to you and as a matter of fact it's actually done to make you build up and grow more because only when someone corrects you that you know he wants the best for you.

No need to clarify the point that you need to get yourself a copper membership account so that you can post pictures because I can deduce from the replies that alot of users here have already highlighted on that and I would like to point out to the fact your website is actually limited, I thought it was like a full casino sight with other features like sportsbet too but although I really like the fact the interface of the website is smooth and run fast and also the registration doesn't give one stress although am skeptical on depositing as I would like to go through the TOS to see if any funny restrictions are out in place.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: January 22, 2024, 05:00:18 PM
Yesterday was trying to place bet and during the process something in me keeps telling me to increase your wager do you know if you would hit something you never won before.. I was like is this how other people are being controlled by gambling or is it how it works? I said, no wonder some people gamble and finishes their allocation for the week or month. This can even lead someone to also go borrow if this feeling is not killed and stop, you can also see that this attributes in gambling addiction.

However, have you had this feeling while gambling before be it offline casino and online casinos?
Are you just starting to gamble, because I think if you are pro then I believe this particular feeling won't be new to you anymore because this is a common feeling among gamblers but for those who tend to gamble with no control because the moment you start thinking to add more staking power to your bet then be sure that's when things can start flipping because sometimes you would go beyond your boundaries and do all type of things you didn't intend to .
