My ratings won't show, so it doesn't matter, but since you mentioned it, they were promoting a phishing/fake wallet/link, that's why the topic was removed by mods.

Of course, it matters digaran!
No matter what people did with you. You should not do what they did with you. If you believe they used the system incorrectly (which I doubt), you should not do the same. If you do the same, what is the difference between you and them? I am not in the DT network, and I am very far from that because several DT members already added me to their exclusion list. That does not really mean I have to use the system however I want. The only way to get rid of it (get rid of their exclusion) is by contributing positively and showing them that I am improving.

I believe I don't have to ask them to remove the exclusion once they notice I have improved myself. If I continue using the system incorrectly, it won't fix things. Let's say ten people distrust you at this moment. If they see you are using the system incorrectly, more people will distrust you. But If they see you have removed your old posts/feedback that are controversial and using the system correctly, they are likely to remove you from their exclusion list. That's what I feel.

I have no idea what you're referring to; please don't clarify the above; and let's just move forward and not return to wherever it is that quote came from.  LOL.

782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Plan to Make the Most of Your Bitcoin Investment Before the Halving? on: November 05, 2023, 09:02:34 AM
  • I turned my apartment into a shared one, meaning I got a flatmate and used the money paid to buy more Bitcoins.
  • No more buying new clothes, shoes, phones, or electronic devices. No more eating out. I'll cook all my meals. The money saved will be used to buy more Bitcoins.
  • This month, I'm selling off my car and I'll start using the train for commuting to work or any other essential place. Therefore, unless it is absolutely necessary, my social life is going to suffer for a little while. This delay of gratification is worth it.
  • I didn't renew my gym membership. I purchased some dumbbells and barbells to start working out from home. The money supposed to be spent on the gym membership will be used to buy more Bitcoins.

That is too much, to be honest. I am not going to do these things, unfortunately. All I am going to do is hold my signature payments as long as I can hold them. No pressure at all. I have other income sources where I can live very well. I don't have any plans to Buy Bitcoin at this moment. My Signature payment is like the DCA method. I am getting a couple of hundred sats every week, and I am planning to hold it as long as I can. If I need some money from my signature payment, I am willing to sell it just like I did last week. It depends from person to person. I don't know how much you make and what is your target. But my target is to gather a couple of thousand dollars. Of course I am not going to hold anything significant.
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Best wallet for Android? on: November 05, 2023, 08:57:13 AM
Hello, I've read your entire topic, and I'd like to share my opinion with you, I'd like to suggest Trust Wallet as one of the best wallets I've used It has an amazing work plan, is highly secure, and offers a great deal of privacy. With its 12-word system  you can create a strong account and  that you can't be hacked or  something else . Your money is kept safe and under your control; you just need to safeguard those 12 words While there are other wallets available .Trust Wallet is the best choice for me.

Trust wallet is the best wallet because it gives you full control of your Bitcoin, and it has multi-currency options. But I don't think they are trusted enough because once Binance takes over Trust Wallet, they become a closed-source wallet app. You have no option to check what changes they made in their coding and if they have something bad in it.

Other expert Bitcoiners suggest not to use Trust Wallet. You can use other open-source wallet app/software that is open source. So I don't use Trust Wallet and Do not recommend anyone to use it either.
784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How TryNinja's Notifier Bot Can Make your life easier on: November 05, 2023, 08:50:15 AM
This feature can help everyone as well. You don't want to miss any signature campaigns or threads from Hhampuz, Royse777 or Little Mouse. You can add them to your tracked users list to get notified every time they create new threads. Bounty Hunters can add bounty managers to your tracked users list.

Are you serious, adding campaign managers to your tracking list? It's too much focus on the forum which can be harmful sometimes.
I have not used any bot before. The forum seems nice at the moment, and if someone wants to ask you something, he will definitely send you a private message, but some members may need this bot, and it may be useful to the majority, especially if you spend a lot of time or have an activity in one of long threads.

I am damn serious. Can you please elaborate on why you think it could be harmful? Let's say I am tracking Hhampuz for now and I will get notified if Hhampuz creates new threads. Usually, Campaign managers create signature campaign threads and contest threads. Most of the managers do not create useless threads. Even they create a thread once every few weeks or even months.

I don't understand why It will harm someone to get one or two notifications in a month or so. Let's say I am not wearing a signature at this moment but I am looking for a campaign to join, I am sure this bot can help me get notified when new threads get created. I don't know what is harmful here  Smiley
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Best wallet for Android? on: November 04, 2023, 01:16:16 PM
I believe samourai to be one of the best wallets out there in terms of connectivity to own node. I have tried connecting it to my dojo node and it worked flawlessly. Apart from that it supports coin control which is a must for me. And it also has a built in implementation of whirlpool mixing.

The only problem I had was that I couldn't maintain more than one wallets simultaneously. Am I wrong?

I haven't tried this wallet yet. I installed Bluewallet this morning but did not create a wallet yet. I also need the coin control feature in my wallet, If Bluewallet already has that, I don't have to switch to another wallet. Are there any Bluewallet users here who have been using this wallet for a long time? I do not have any node, and I have no idea how it works.

The mixing feature seems interesting to me. I would love to try that as well. I don't know how it works but I have used several Bitcoin mixer websites before. Does the mixing feature same as like mixing service websites?
786  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: November 04, 2023, 12:46:20 PM
Hey I'm really sorry if this has been discussed before but I am wondering if there's a way to ignore mentions to me from a specific thread.

For instance, If I get mentioned in one thread a lot but I don't care about responses in that specific thread, is there any way to mute notifications only for responses to me within this thread?
Yes. This is for the Ignored topic feature!

I tried putting the thread in ignore thread but it didn't work. Let me know if testing is required, I'm willing to help as needed.

I have not tried this feature yet. But I would like to try as well. Now, I am going to ignore two threads including this one. Please mention me in your next post so I can test if it works for me or not. If it does not work for me, too, I guess it's a global issue, and then we can ask TryNinja to fix this.

Edit: I have added two topics to my ignore list. I will update you if it works.

787  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How TryNinja's Notifier Bot Can Make your life easier on: November 04, 2023, 12:17:50 PM
Indeed, I have been using his bot and it's quite amazing. Anyone who mentions me or replies to my threads or my posts, I get instant notification on that. The best part is that it's free to use and the bots are quite fast too. Maybe that's because of Telegram and its free API service as compared to Twitter/X, Elon smashed it. Kudos to TryNinja for his bot. The community does the best.

I wrote this topic a couple of months ago, and since then, TryNinja improved his bot further. TryNinja added another new feature I noticed. That is deleted posts notification. But I noticed if entire threads get wiped out, we do not get a notification. This bot is cost-free from the beginning, and it will remain free if I am not wrong.

I am pretty surprised that the number of users of this bot is not huge. It's around 500 or so? How many active members are in this forum? I guess it's because people do not know about this bot. All we can do is try to spread the info and help others using it.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Best wallet for Android? on: November 04, 2023, 12:59:15 AM
For multicurrency walelts Trust Wallet is also open source and it supports a wide variety of altcoins. It has an Android version:
https://trustwallet.com/download-page

This is high time to edit this post, buddy, since Trustwallet is not an open source app anymore. They became a closed-source app years ago. I was checking old comments regarding the best Android wallet and saw your post and then realized the post is old.

I was using Electrum for my Android, too. But recently, the update made it almost unusable.
For example, I cannot use coin control; I'm unsure if it was available in an older version. QR code scan does not work. Overall, it does not look good anymore, and I don't want to use an older version. I am looking for another good Bitcoin wallet. How is BlueWallet these days?

790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 04, 2023, 12:24:40 AM
This is one of the worst things we do. I usually shared with my friends how much I was holding at that moment when I was new to Bitcoin. But the government banned any kind of cryptocurrency transaction in my country. So, I am trying to keep my privacy as much as possible. The mobile device becomes a problem at this moment. We use it, and there are several crypto apps, and my browser history also shows I am a crypto user. Anytime, a random police check can bring me to jail.

Yep — applies to not only bitcoin and crypto, but your wealth in general. It's simply the most nonsense thing ever as all you're going to gain is a bit of bragging rights, in exchange for a dozen of potential problems. Next thing you know your friends and family are now trying to loan money off you, and a kidnapper with a $5 wrench is waiting for you around the corner.

https://chainsec.io/wrench-attack

The problem is people know Bitcoin is easily accessible, and it takes no longer than ten minutes to transfer the funds, and once done, it cannot be recovered.

5. Learn Bitcoin [30]

Grin Grin

793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2023, 09:28:18 AM
It is never too late to invest in Bitcoin. There was never a perfect time to invest in Bitcoin. Each time you buy the dip, you will see there is a further dip in the future. You won't always be in profit. This is the reason DCA has become one of the favorite investment methods for Bitcoiners. If you want to know more about the Dollar Cost Average investment system, search on Google.

I believe there are more than a dozen threads regarding whether it is the right time to invest. You could have searched it and written your comment there. Anyways, I recommend any newbie to learn more about Bitcoin wallet and security before they invest.
794  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Understand how electrum wallets work on: November 03, 2023, 08:12:59 AM
You are referring to this transaction. Right?
OP said that the fund was sent to an address which belongs to the same master public key. That means that the receiving address belongs to the same wallet.

No, I did not refer to that transaction. That transaction is referred to by OP which he claims belongs to the same public key. If it's in the same public key, it's possible that the previous wallet also belongs to a hacker as well. OP did not own the address he was watching. Or, the new wallet does not belong to the same public key as OP claims.

I was referring to this transaction where hacker sent 3.399 BTC to a wallet and looked at the inputs. It's strange for someone who is the original owner. An average joe won't do these things. It's typical hacker patters to send Bitcoins to different addresses to avoid tracing.

I don't think OP understands very well how it works. Either the next address does not belong to the same master public key, or OP do now own any of the wallet he mentioned.
795  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Understand how electrum wallets work on: November 02, 2023, 08:57:05 AM
Indeed, you misunderstood his entire text and did not notice others' comments. I assume his wallet was hacked about three months ago, and more than 3.73 Bitcoins were stolen from his wallet by a hacker.
I don't think the wallet was hacked. I think OP doesn't own that wallet at all and is only watching someone else wallet.

The 3.73 BTC was sent in this transaction. The transaction contains 2 outputs. The address which received 3.23 BTC seems to be the change address. OP also said that it belongs to the same master public key.

If the wallet was owned by OP and it had been hacked, the hacker would move the entire balance in a single transaction.

I guess you did not check what happened then. The hacker hacked 3.73 Bitcoin and received it in one address. Then, he transferred 3.5 Bitcoins in seven transactions to seven different wallet addresses, and each transaction was 0.5 BTC. The rest of the 0.23 Bitcoin was transferred to another address. All eight wallet addresses belong to the same private key.

Look at this transaction: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/4fc3bbd287a12ecd4fce67b76c779cb15362d87dfab35d5eb57fd33b6ec5f1f0

The hacker tried to split all the amount into different addresses, so it became tough to trace the Bitcoin.

3.399 Bitcoin ended up in this wallet bc1qvhpnpce5hxwf4gc0q6jm7zw0la3tv0lp5vk7rg which belongs to either an exchange or a mixer. The rest amount was transferred to some other wallet address. I can investigate further if you want. But I guess it's not necessary at this moment.
796  Economy / Reputation / Re: Advertised services and participants in a paid sig campaign on: November 02, 2023, 01:41:17 AM
And yes, campaign managers not checking his comments properly are an issue too.
A campaign manager is responsible to select suited participants to ensure that the service is advertised the best way. Campaign managers are getting paid for that by the service. And obviously, someone who openly hates gambling is not a good pick to advertise a gambling brand.

Campaign managers want to give better exposure to the brand they are working for. Sometimes, negative promotion gives better exposure than positive promotion does. Let's say BenCodie is opposing gambling and casinos and believes it's unethical while wear the signature. Which is the reason for creating a conflict or let's say a discussion regarding his point of view. Now, the company he promotes is getting more views from his signature as people pay attention to him. He might have negative thoughts about gambling, but the viewers do not.

The company gets the benefit because its primary benefit is to get as many views as possible. If his negative point of view gives them more views, they may like to take it. But it's also true that negative promotions do not always work. I am pretty sure that the campaign managers are aware of his posts and his point of view. But the point they may have is that BenCodie is not a spammer! He has been constructive with his posts and tried to write in detail about his point of view, even though it's controversial.

798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: November 02, 2023, 01:14:46 AM
I wonder how many times I was mentioned on this topic. I guess I have already responded once or twice regarding this matter. Once again, what is the point of teaching your kids about Bitcoin? Regarding my country's education system, a four-year-old's average weight is around 16 to 20 KG. Can you imagine a school bag that is more than ten KG, and he carries it when he goes to school?

The kids are already under a lot of pressure to learn many things at a young age. I believe it's enough to know the alphabet and some numerics in the first class. Slowly, they will learn more things according to their age and capacity. Where do you see a scope to force them to learn Bitcoin in this age?
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help? on: November 02, 2023, 12:57:50 AM
Bitcoin offers unique opportunities for people who want to make decent amount of money and I have the feeling that if these people start investing in Bitcoin, we will see a rapid decline in global poverty. What do you think?

Please do not expect Bitcoin to solve everything. Please do not encourage them to invest in Bitcoin while they are struggling to live their life. Most of the time, these people will be short of money and unable to hold their Bitcoin. If I do not have enough money to live my life, I will be forced to sell my savings to buy necessary things.

As you already know, you won't be in profit all the time. If you want to make some profit from Bitcoin, you have to invest and wait. People who can save $10 a week surely do not make that much money.

Moreover, most people suggest only investing if you can afford to lose money. Do not expect too much from Bitcoin. Most people are likely to lose their money because of their high expectations.
800  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: November 02, 2023, 12:37:51 AM
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about that I had a misunderstanding about. Well, let me think about it. I suppose if the DT system is going to exist, however shattered it is, I probably ought to attempt to help make sure bad things don't happen.

That's the only way to fix these things. If you believe more people are misusing the system, your participation will help to improve it. Boycotting the DT feature will give abusers more power to continue doing their shit. You and a few more veteran forum members decided to boycott the DT feature for some reason. I didn't know if your trust list was empty or not. Among other veteran members, dkbit98 is another one, if I am not wrong.

All you can do is rebuild your trust list with at least ten people on your list. You guys have spent a couple of years already, and I guess you have more than ten people you may trust based on your experience.
