781  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make we try dey cautious online on: January 25, 2024, 04:25:28 PM
Omo i nor know if anybody for here don first experience or get person way don experience this matter way be whatsapp hack. One of my guy message me for whatsapp on monday say make i help m transfer money go one account way he go send me bcos he don reach he transfer limit but I thank God say the money way he be dey ask for nor dey my account at that time bcos I go for send m fast for am, since I know say he dey highly capable to pay back.

But yesterday my guy cor post for whatsapp status say make everybody way receive that message nor vest, say person be hack he account and he just recently get am back. The thing suprise me and i cor ask am say why he nor vest set 2 step verification for he whatsapp, he say he never first reason that side.

I bring this thing come here say make we dey cautious online, even if we know person well well, nor mean say hackers nor fit get the person account and so anytime person way dey close to us ask us for money (including bitcoin) or any sensitive information from us, make we dey careful and try to see the person first physically or at least call the person to verify bcos things dey happen online, infact even for our bitcointalk forum so, account hack don dey common, we dey see as some of our members of this forum way don come out, cor talk say nor be them borrow money with their own account and come out with proof and now since person way be wan help person now cor dey get their money back, to borrow for here nor cor easy as bfor.

My other advice na be say make anybody way never set 2 step verification for Whatsapp or any other social media account way he/she go set am. 2 step verification get different ones, just observe m and check the one way dey well and secure for, Nor go use over protectivenes tel lock account.
See YouTube video on how to set 2 step verification on WhatsApp and Facebook
Facebook and WhatsApp

Also you fit check this site for ways to set up 2 step verification for other social media and platforms.
How to set up two-factor authentication on your online services
OP na God been get your back that on Monday ohh if not you for explain trie but Wetin I never understand na how the guy scammer tak get  link to him what app OP this should explain to us that this person must have been close to him or most have some little information about him  if it is truthful
This must have teach us how we should not trust people you never can tell who is your enemy.

Back to the topic about the two ways or two steps verification so you mean person no fit enta ur whatapp without ur permission?? If u don verify am.
But OP @Amphenomenon come to think of it does this has to do wit email verification too and adding some password too because without this two some scammer are very smart and they can just use any little information to get inside ur phone.
All of us wey dy for this crypto space and those using the internet need to know that scammers are getting sophisticated everyday, them no need too much information from you for them to hack your account, some of this online scammers na wizard in computer and even coding, so for we to survive here without falling into there hand, we need to get sophisticated also with our security by paying close attention to the smallest details, no allow even the smallest details go out, if not you go pay dearly if e enter the wrong hand, and another thing wey dy really important na that 2factor verification wey the op don already talk about, people no know how important this tin be due to ignorance or lack of knowledge but anybody wey take security serious for this life no sopos carry am play.
782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Analysis Chart Request & Outlook Bitcointalk Edition on: January 25, 2024, 04:03:05 PM
I can actually get the clearer picture of what you are trying to say or do while looking at the chart pattern, and the line you drew show that you are not new to the system when it comes to trading because you can identify support and resistance very well, but as a newbie that you are in this forum you have to go through the rules and regulations first, so you won't break any.

Just take a look at the thread your made, you are the only one talking, can't you see? I know that as a newbie that you are, you are prone to make mistakes, but common sense would demand that you should not be the one talking and responding to yourself, so as a newbie try to learn first before posting.
783  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: A year profit investment to choose on: January 25, 2024, 08:00:53 AM
My brother no be bad tin you do to bring the matter here, if I dy in this kind situation, first of all as a man wey I be, if I wan invest in anything, I go first think of wetin I get knowledge of, so on that note, I will go for Bitcoin, because I get almost all the knowledge required to navigate my in the crypto space,  but if i decide to go for another investment wey I no know, na to first seek knowledge first before I think of the next step to go after then, but it all depends on you, which one of them you get knowledge of.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 25, 2024, 06:23:54 AM

Cameron will end the career of Nigeria football in this AFCON tournament and tomorrow evening Nigerian players will come home. And all the games in the AFCON today were draw. Namibia drew with Mali 0-0. South Africa which I was thinking that would win their march drew with Tunisia. And Tunisia was very strong in the back days of 2005 which was the year they scored Nigeria. Tanzania also drew with Dr. Congo  then Zambia and Morocco was the game I had an interest to to watch today.

I am not in support of Nigeria team tomorrow because their games give high blood pressure. But let see how the outcome will be.
That’s very sad to hear from a Nigerian. You should at least try having some faith in your team. Cameroon haven’t been impressive in the tournament so far, why would you write Nigeria off to a opponent that’s not even better than them? I can’t say I’m pleased with the style of football José Peseiro making our boys play. Nigerians are calm because he's getting the results miraculously. In the end what is important in football is the three points.

P.S. The game between Nigeria and Cameroon is on Saturday. You keep saying tomorrow. Are you even following the AFCON?
.
It's very much understandable that most Nigerian have already ruled out their team already because even though they advance to the round of 16,  their performance in the past 3 game have been really poor, the world class players they have, have not reflect in their style of play, but the Cameroonian team have not been doing better either, they are even worse than the Nigerian team, but due to the sanity of the Nigerian defense, I think they will be the winner here because they usually conceive less goals than the Cameroonian team here.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: January 25, 2024, 02:38:24 AM
It's all about the money, what will be the excitement when money is being removed from the equation? I know that it's quite normal that some people will not admit to the fact that they came for the money but it very obvious to everyone that have ever gambles that we actually have no interest in it, if  not  for the money involved.

As I saw this topic, am just trying to imagine what motivating factor that will compel people to still gambles if their is no money in it, I really don't see any, because gambling is all about money.
786  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If you are paid while working for the Church , You will be Poor on: January 25, 2024, 02:22:25 AM
Op like seriously? You really create this thread for us to start to discuss religious matter? You don ever ask yourself the reason you come here, abeg stop this thing way you dy do abeg, just as wetin @pi-network don talk already, try look at wetin others dy do, try follow people wey know road abeg, because na for ur own good, see make I tell, anytime you no get anything to post just rest, because as a human being wey we be, we dy mostly give ourselves respect base on wetin come out from our mouth and our ways of doing things, so try your possible best to show maturity by staying mute if you have nothing to say, to save urself from unnecessary criticism.
787  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Why it's very risky to leave your coin in an exchange on: January 24, 2024, 06:17:01 PM
My country people good evening inside this evening, e get one thing I wan talk about wey I think say na very big mistakes and disaster waiting to happen if we continue that trend, see most of us crypto enthusiastic no know how risky e be to leave our coin in an exchange, if you don here about this phrase, not your key, not your coin, you go understand well wetin I dy try to talk.

Their are some questions we need to ask our self, question like, if this exchange all my coin dy get K leg, na who I wan hold? Make we try use people dy learn, make we no allow am to happen to us first before we learn,  that is why for this forum them dy always dy advice everyone to use self custodian wallet, so that you no go wake up one morning come dy hear stories about your investment.
Make we just look how FTX just run into bankruptcy wey make so many people money plus life savings get K leg till today,  abeg make we thread wisely.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: January 24, 2024, 04:23:54 PM
You are definitely right my brother, the rate at which the price of land have skyrocket due to its limited supply is really scary.
Bitcoin today is showing up the same potential of land due It limited supply and appreciation In value overtime, I  just believe that in 10years time from now, the price of Bitcoin will skyrocket to a figure we never imagined, that why it's more advicable to DCA into Bitcoin now, since we are still in it early days.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 24, 2024, 12:13:18 PM
The Ivory Coast national team will be able to win a ticket to qualify for the 16th round of the AFCON, provided that the Moroccan national team defeats its Zambian counterpart tonight.
And the Côte d'Ivoire national team will also have a second opportunity to reconcile with its fans and qualify for the second round of the AFCON, with South Africa defeating Tunisia and Mali defeating Namibia.
Today will be a miracle for Ivory Coast fans if these results happen. I feel that the Moroccan team will achieve a victory tonight and this will give a golden opportunity to the tournament organizer.

This is actually what I hate most as a supporting fan, why  praying? Are they the only serving God? The people in the other country are they not also worshiping God? It's very very bad that as a host nation that would at least do the least average just to qualify from the group, but they choose to do below average which have now put them in a very awkward situation.

Their is really no excuse for the ivorian national team not being able to get at least a draw from the last fixture which they lost 4-0, let just watch and see how it plays out, but their performance on that day was really a shame for a country of their status in African football.
790  Other / Meta / Re: Other Forum members are more civil than Legendary members, Why? on: January 24, 2024, 11:49:00 AM
I have keenly noticed that, some members of the forum like the legendary members do not have good choice of words in expressing their thought , outside abusive choices of words or words that sounds like bullying.

The most abusive forum members as I have noticed are the legendary members. I noticed it in their replies to posts or contributions to posts.

Do we agree that it is a feeling of pride that they have superior knowledge on issues than others because of their ranking?

They are most times emotional and personal in their contributions to issues of public concern.

Who else is noticing this attitude as a newbie or member?
No, this is not true, for the few months I have been in this forum I have come to understand so many things including life in general, no body is bullying or abusing you bro, criticism is what I know you get in this forum if you are talking off point or saying a lie or doing anything the wrong way, it just a shame that you see criticism and correction as bullying because am very sure that nobody  insulted you, though to some people advice and criticism look like insult to them, which is quite normal, but if you really want to learn, you will swallow it and learn from them.

Even though you feel insulted by the comments of one or two legendary guys, that don't make all the legendary member in the forum a bully according to you, so please be guided.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 24, 2024, 09:02:00 AM
Nigeria's Super Eagles will face Cameroon in round 16, which will be a challenging encounter, although I doubt that Cameroon will find the match difficult. Given Nigeria's current performance, I don't think Cameroon can defeat Nigeria at this point in their performance. In my opinion, Nigeria will emerge victorious from the knockout phase.
Your statements are quite conflicting, You first doubt that Cameroon will find the game difficult, then you also do not think Cameroon will be able to defeat Nigeria?

The good thing about the Nigerian team is that our defense is strong, and can withstand attacks from Cameroon, but we need to score goals. The one goal we have been getting in each game in the group stages may not be enough to help us win this game. Cameroon are a strong opponent, our neighbors, we cannot take them as a joke. Osimhen needs to be on target, and out coach has to get our tactics spot on.

If it's already been confirmed that Cameroon is our next opponent then it will definitely be an interesting encounter between them, this year the Cameroonian national team have not been that good but the Nigerian team have not been spectacular either, the only difference among them which makes the Nigerian team better is their defense.

The Cameroonian team need to sort out their defense if they will have to go past the Nigerian team into the quarter finals of this year African cup of nations, while the major issue of the Nigerian team have been their attack, they are not banging in the goals, they need to be clinical in front of goal against this Cameroonian team if they must progress to the next round of the competition, but it's really a mouth watering clash no doubt.
792  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Do not overwork yourself on: January 24, 2024, 08:41:55 AM
We all know that ain't right to over work oneself. But you won't blame them is due to the system of this our country because if you don't try and keep up over working your self won't be the issue but not able to keep up with ones expenses and would initially endangered your health. For instance now you can see the way food stuff has become so expensive and also with most things you need to survive. So you can see that this country has already made it that to keep up with the system you got to over with your self.
But still health is wealth, aslong there's life there's hope so always put your health as a priority too.
What you said is right, the country we found ourselves makes us to over work ourselves due to hardship, so in this kind of situation we just have to try to strike a balance between our working hours and our resting hours.
I really don't have an issue with over working myself, what I really have an issue with is not having a proper rest after all the work and stress, we should always create time for ourselves for resting because even God in heaven rest on the seventh day after creation, so if the maker of all things rest, who are you not to rest, unless you want to break down at some point due to too much work and no rest.
793  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Gaurd yourself against crypto scam this year on: January 24, 2024, 08:28:10 AM
My brother you don do well to enlighten us more about how scammers dy operate, but most problem wey we dy face as Nigerians is that we too like big big talk, and something wey go fit give us double of our money in a short period of time.

Most Nigerian wey try dy enlightened about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency no dy patience enough to invest in Bitcoin wey dem know say na him be baba, dem know say Bitcoin dy good, but if you ask dem why dem no wan dy patience with Bitcoin, dem go say  Bitcoin no go fit give them the sharp sharp money dem dy find, na that impatience and greed dy mostly make dem fall for scammers hand wey offer dem deal way look too good.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: January 23, 2024, 04:43:05 PM
That is one just one of the disgusting thing an addictive gambler can do, people don't really know how bad addiction is until they found their self inside that ugly situation, and if you do more findings about  most addictive gamblers you will see that their are even worse thing they can actually do base on their addiction.

That man that commited that crime, after he had finished serving, no body will tell him to stop when he will stop, besides the addiction will leave him due to the fact that he cannot gambles when he is serving his prison term, i just hope that most gamblers can learn from this.
795  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Are online banks slowly replacing commercial banks on: January 23, 2024, 12:49:06 PM
When you say online bank, are you talking about micro finance bank? If it's micro finance bank like moniepoint, opay kuda, palm pay etc then of a truth they are gradually taking customer of the commercial banks, but almost all the service you listed here are being offered by the commercial banks also, the only difference among them is the network speed.
You hardly get failed transaction when using micro finance bank and most of them like opay that I use, the first three transfer of the day are free, and they normally give Cashback in every transaction, so who no like better thing?
But what I think that have won the heart of customers is the network speed if am not mistaking.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: January 23, 2024, 08:12:52 AM
This question really sounds ridiculous, is gambling a job? Please it's very wrong to treat gambling as a job, because by doing so, all your hopes and attention will be on it, and it's just a matter of time that you get addicted, which to me is the end game of every gambler.
One thing I have observed about gambling is that, when you make it as your source of income, it put you in a very difficult situation whereby you start chasing, and when you start chasing, that when you lose more, it's really wrong to think you can make a  career out of gambling, the only thing you will achieve by that is to get addicted, nothing more.
797  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why little things are always hard to handle on: January 23, 2024, 07:54:39 AM
My people l greet oo this thing keep ringing in my heart despite not being a crypto matter, why is it that little things are always difficult to handle most time it curse more pain and hardship compare when handling big thing.
You don talk am already, no be crypto matter, dis discussion no sopos dy here in the first place but anyhow make I respond to ur question.
Just as you call am little tin, nai make e dy normal hard us because in the first place we see am as nothing, we just underate am, see make I tell you, anything you underate go give you more troubles than even the big one wey you go prepare for.
Just as our country be so, the minor jobs like ogwaja nai hard pass and na him still pay less pass base on say na Nigeria in general no see am as big work, but you see all those big big jobs, just go there office and observe, nothing dem dy even do there, na less stress and na dem recieve better money pass, so the conclusion is that small tins normally sabi stress person, because only how the money small self, e dy discouraging to put in too much effort.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 23, 2024, 04:26:18 AM
I think I this year African cup of nations, we have seen the worst performance from the the top teams with rich history in the competition, just take a look at ivory coast the host nations, they are already out as it stance, they are now just hoping and praying to be among the best losers.

How will cape Verde island top a group that have the likes Pharos of Egypt and the black 🌟 star of Ghana? The both top teams have performed really badly according to their level in African football, and the Ghanaian national team have been the worst of them all, only 2 point in possible 9, in their own case the are entirely out. With the way the top teams are playing in this competition I think their is more surprising result coming, because Nigerian performance haven't been good either, they are just good at grinding out results, even though their performance have been relatively poor, lets just watch out for the other top guys to look how they are going to perform today and tomorrow.
799  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Newbies make una stop those off topic posts ASAP on: January 23, 2024, 03:45:36 AM
My snr man @makus you don talk well, no be only you dy see am, me self wey they new here dy observe am, but too me It still boils down to wetin dem tell the person, before him even enter the forum,  the lack of proper orientation nai be the major issue wey they cause this tins, secondly, some people expecially newbies, if them no get anything to write or talk about dem no go just rest, dem go wan force something out of their system, wey no go make sense base on say dem lack enough creativity then, abeg as a person e dy very good to learn how to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Concerning those people wey dy go rubbish our country for English board, I dy use God name beg ona, make ona stop that nonsense, Nigerian get a very good reputation for this forum, no go rub everybody oil because of ur selfish interest, you think say na only Nigeria bad? You don see any day for this forum wey American citizen don come out come dy rubbish their country, you think say them no get their own bad side? those people wey dy do that thing make ona stop abeg, ona no go use am achieve anything.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 22, 2024, 06:41:16 PM
This super eagles game have really been fascinating but it's a game I really do expect them to win considering the fact that Equatoria guinea is winning the host nations ivory coast, and news reaching me now is that Equatoria guinea is now leading ivory coast by 3-0 which makes them the winners of the group if it ends like this.

Even though Equatoria guinea is a very strong team, I never expected them to brush off a mighty team like ivory coast like this. It's now obvious that this is the end of the road from the ivorian national team, because I didn't see them coming back as a best loser.
