That's odd.  At the same moment bitcoinwatch.com and mtgox.com became inaccessible to me.  Are they down for anyone else?

Mtgox.com is up for me. The other one is indeed down.

That's odd.  At the same moment bitcoinwatch.com and mtgox.com became inaccessible to me.  Are they down for anyone else?
www.bitcoincharts.com is off for me also

Yep, down for me as well. Edit: Is up for me again!

Good thing the socket.io went down again... I was getting sick of knowing what the price was anyway...

Haha, that made me lol :p
Too bad it's downright sad how poorly their API is for the amount of trade volume they get =/
783  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uh oh on: February 08, 2012, 04:58:37 PM
im so mad. i bought in at 5.62.... GRR
Feels good to buy along with the Bitcoinica gamblers, doesn’t it?

All hail the stabilizing effect of bitcoinica.
Hahhaha

These dips are gold gold gold gold for bitcoinica...

Imagine the liquidations attached to these..  hahaha

Bitcoinica, the water based bandaid on an evaporating dyke wall...

Zhou announced (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=62696.msg737825#msg737825) that there was about 500BTC of forced liquidations in that - and this is quite probable for me - I don't think there will be any massive liquidations above 5.  By the way anyone knows what the % hedged means on bitcoinica first page?  Now it is over 180% - while it used to be between 20% and 80%.

I don't know. I thought it meant how big of a part was hedged on Gox instead of traded internally, but then obviously this number shouldn't be able to go over 100%. We probably need Zhoutong to clear this up for us Smiley
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Absurd data differences; which data to trust? on: February 08, 2012, 03:48:02 PM
btccharts.com is on servers at UK so there's no new data since 2 hours (Euro blackout)

Assuming they get their data from MtGox that's correct. Other exchanges work in Europe just fine, though.

We're talking about Mtgox market depth...
785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fellow Euros, we got Goxxed on: February 08, 2012, 03:17:41 PM
Posting it here as well; sorry for double-post but traders might be interested. New user "Randall" just messaged me about the classic page working:

https://classic.mtgox.com/

It has the old "StartCom" signed key... doing a tracert shows that it is a different server: 72.52.5.81, also at prolexic, so I guess it's legit?

Yes, working properly with my yubikey, and my funds are there as well. Legit! Thanks for letting us know!
786  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 02:55:41 PM
Weird. I can reach Mtgox just fine through Tor, but I can't reach them without my connection going through Tor.

791  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoinica Alternative on: February 08, 2012, 02:42:10 PM
DO NOT MAKE ANY DEPOSITS. IT IS A TEST SITE!

Either you really suck at reading, or OP edited his post.

Was edited.

793  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoinica Alternative on: February 08, 2012, 02:23:17 PM
You can unlimitedly click deposit and you get an additional 5 coins every time. It's just a bèta I guess.

Great.... They should have made this more clear from the start. Now I used up my beginners luck...  Sad
794  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoinica Alternative on: February 08, 2012, 02:19:25 PM

Won 400+ coins with the 5 you get for free. I tried to withdraw, but it wasn't possible. I wouldn't deposit anything until this mess is solved. I did get a Mtgox code, but I couldn't redeem it.
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 08, 2012, 01:33:05 PM
Eating away at a 5.849 wall now.
Please stop spamming the forum with your live ticker.

Anyone can refresh and watch the latest here: http://bitcoin.clarkmoody.com/ Works ok.

Nope, not working properly here. Besides, clarkmoody doesn't show any market depth, so I appreciate the updates he's giving. I'm semi-blind at the moment, which sucks for trading in the heat of the moment.
797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 08, 2012, 01:28:43 PM
Stalled.... awww.

How does the market always seem to know my break even price?

Yeah it stalled because loads of people can't even reach the Mtgox site at the moment...
798  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 01:19:00 PM
Confirmed, down in The Netherlands.
799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 08, 2012, 01:18:11 PM
Even www.mtgox.com is down for me. What a joke :p
800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 08, 2012, 12:56:28 PM
Nice! 5.75 again, will this keep up? It would be highly entertaining to have a dump turn into a rally. lol.

Edit: 5.78 soon after. It has gone higher than before the dump!

Probably not. All live feeds are dead again, thanks to Mtgox's shitty API. Such a big joke for a company that size...
