781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be Taught in Schools? on: October 09, 2018, 04:54:47 AM
Hi guys!
I'm pretty sure that many of you have been experiencing difficulty on making other people aware of cryptocurrency and how it works, right? I myself find it hard to explain it even to my own family. Once you mention it to them, the first thing that comes to their mind is that it's a scam. Can't blame them though because the news about crypto scams are always hyped in social media and believe me, even my 70 year old mom has Facebook!

Anyway, I realized that this is the case because there has never really been any formal education about it at all. We knew about it only thru word of the mouth right and we only got to learn it slowly thru experience. This said, I'm thinking, what if it's taught in schools? Perhaps just start with those taking Accountancy or Banking and Finance courses to begin with, then eventually incorporate it to Mathematics subject or whatever in High School? After all, they were able to do that with banking, right? Why not with cryptocurrency? What do you think?

If the major of the peoples in your country using cryptocurrency, and the government allowing the crypto to be used, then learning cryptocurrency
in the school is a good thing to do. But for now, even some countries still banning crypto, so they won't be able to learn anything regarding crypto in their country legally.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam projects on: October 09, 2018, 04:09:20 AM
how to search for Scam project? I made an analysis of the possible Scam project, but did not receive any comment, I would like to know if I did it right

You may need to participate in a scam project, so you will have experience about it. Usually the scam project doesn't have any press meeting about their company. So for me, if there is a project with press, it will be a plus value to invest on that project because they are real.
Some photos and update about their progress will prove it's legit.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: October 08, 2018, 06:43:46 AM
There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???

For now, i don't think any altcoins will replacing bitcoin even for years. The bitcoin value is the most expensive in the market.
With a small volume, bitcoin can the most market cap and dominance among all cryptocurrencies.
The most close altcoins with bitcoin i think it is Ripple, it has gone to 2nd position few days ago in coinmarket cap.
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you sure that bitcoin will fall? on: October 08, 2018, 06:34:34 AM
Does the increasing numbers of bitcoin addresses means there are more peoples join crypto and using bitcoin as their currency ?
I think yes it does. But there is a possibility there are some peoples creating many btc addresses for their wallet. So it not 100% sure it is because many peoples join bitcoin.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do whales really control the market, or is that a myth on: October 08, 2018, 05:13:04 AM
Is there any evidence that these mysterious 'whales' really control the bitcoin market, or is this a myth generated as people try to understand why bitcoin prices go up and down?

The whales is possible to control the market, but i guess it is not easy as we imagine.
Even if they have many coins in their wallets, they need to using the wallet in every exchange to control the market.
You know there are many exchanges with a great volume in the market, it will be difficult to control all.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency courses, thoughts? on: October 08, 2018, 04:59:16 AM
I came up to this recently https://www.coursera.org/learn/cryptocurrency
Has anyone tried enrolling in a cryptocurrency related course? Anyone who has completed one, either online or offline one. Any thoughts on taking one?

For now, seems like the cryptocurrency subject is not mandatory to be learned. But later if in the future cryptocurrency start to used international with massive scale, then i think there will be many courses being held about cryptocurrency and blockchain. So i think the time will come eventually.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC transaction fees is going down. on: October 08, 2018, 04:15:23 AM
From last few days, btc transactions fees has been reduced remarkably. Even its transactions fees are now lower than bitcoin cash. It is really a great news for btc trader i think. How it can help the current market?? Share your logic please .

Did you know what was the reason for reduced bitcoin transactions fee ? I think if bitcoin fees stay cheap, peoples will prefer to using bitcoin than using fiat currency like money. To be massive adopted and used by peoples around the world, bitcoin need to improve its transaction speed and fees i think.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Awareness is the biggest influence. on: October 08, 2018, 03:52:26 AM
So we all know BTC drops when people sell their coins... but the peaking is purely because of investments...

The mall in S.Korea that started accepting BTC as of this month played a massive roll in BTC's growth. Obviously this is because BTC's awareness is growing!

Surely there are ways to bring the awareness of cryto to the population.

Are there any other 'blow ups' of crypto that you have heard of? Similar to the mall...
What are you doing to spread the awareness? Smiley

Yes, you can even promote your project to create public awareness, so there will be many peoples know about it.
I think the hype occurred in dec 2017 was because the high awareness of bitcoin and cryptocurrency and many peoples were buying.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese UBER will use BlockChain on: October 08, 2018, 03:18:39 AM
A new VTC application backed by BlockChain technology will soon be launched by the Uber chinese Didi Chuxing.
The company CEO confirm that BlockChain technology has a lot of advantages provided that bring real added value to users. He knows this technology very well and wants to use it to develop different economic systems and offer innovative and useful services to users in order to meet some of their needs.

When some company start to using blockchain in their system, it will surely create the awareness of cryptocurrency for the peoples who use it.
Maybe in the future, blockchain will be used by us as a payment system and database storing.
Please provide the source to support your thread about the usage of blockchain in UBER, i want to read about the news.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins? on: October 07, 2018, 03:14:07 PM
Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.

Some peoples selling their coins when the price is rising about 20% to take a quick profit, but they will selling if their coin price drop to cut loss too.
It will be depends on your activity. If you are a day trader, you will selling your coins whether if its price increased to gain profit, or decreased to cutting loss.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this bear market continue? on: October 07, 2018, 03:08:53 PM
I'm just hodling since the January drop. Stupid me I didn't sell enough of my coins that time. Just wondering what are you guys doing. Still holding or you pulled out your investments in the mean time?

Even the bear market keep continuing until now, it has been 9 months already.
Maybe bull market wont appear in this year if the market stay like this.
But we dont know the future, everything still can be happening in cryptocurrency world.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Billion People Will Be Using Cryptocurrency in 5 Years: Brian Armstrong on: October 06, 2018, 04:09:51 PM
I think 5 years will be too long. If in the next 3 years cryptocurrency won't be used globally in the world, then i think it will be difficult for crypto to become a global currency. Another thing to consider in cryptocurrency is the security of the wallet. Peoples afraid if their coins can be hacked later, so they don't use it. But if there are some kind of prevention to be hacked, it will be more easy to become used by everyone in the world.

How is trading cryptocurrency different from stocks and forex trading? Read on to know more.

Maybe forex trading will be more easy ? Because i know the cryptocurrency price is very not stable.
If you are trading with something with unstable value, it will be riskier but the profit will be better than a stable one.
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin affect other Crypto? on: October 06, 2018, 03:53:17 PM
I have recently been into altcoin trading. I just want to know, does the price of bitcoin affect the price of other cryptocurrencies as well? How? I really want to know. I have noticed that ever since the bitcoin price pumped up and reached 4,000 USD, the price of the altcoins had gone really really low. I almost lost my invesment due to this sudden drop. Does bitcoin price have something to do with this?

Bitcoin will affecting the altcoins because the holders of bitcoin. The holders of bitcoin is already huge, btc was created in 2009, so until now there are many peoples hold bitcoin. The holders of bitcoin can buy any coins using their btc with high liquidity, so btc can easily affect other crypto.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH ready to bounce back? on: October 05, 2018, 07:49:47 AM
Found some technical analysis taken on ethereum and with the report, it is looking real good as it seems ETH has prepared to take on the train and prove itself once more that it is th king of alts. Well, lets hope the TA becomes real and we see our dearly ETH come up once again.

Ready to bounce back if ETH network has many good ICO's. But you can see, the worth ICO to invest is not too many.
Investors who have money don't invest blindly again, but they are smarter to invest only a real and good projects.
ETH price will rising in the market if the crypto market goes green later.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any coin like bitcoin? on: October 05, 2018, 07:31:12 AM
Please house, I will like to know whether out of the existing altcoins anyone of them has potential to be like bitcoin in the nearest future. I will appreciate if i can know the reason why because this will greatly assis me in planning my investment strategy. Thanks.

Bitcoin will be bitcoin and nothing will replace bitcoin. Many altcoins are created in the cryptocurrency, but bitcoin still have the most value in the market.
If a new coins wants to become like bitcoin, then it will need the time for massive adoption in our society.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth the work and waiting? on: October 05, 2018, 07:18:02 AM
So you have being wearing a signature for more that ten weeks. Each week you made more than 15 post on different thread on this forum. And just when you done with the campaign you have been asked to keep the signature for three more weeks while wait for stakes to be calculated. After stakes are calculated, it takes more than 3+ weeks for tokens to arrive in your wallet. and a month for the token to go on exchange. On exchange, all your token is worth for your hard work is just less than $50.
How do you feel?
How will you react?

The important thing is how you choose the right project to take a part in their campaign. If you choose the wrong or scam project, then your efforts
will be gone in vain, just wasting your time for the small rewards or no rewards at all. Try to investing your most time to researching about the projects.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INVEST AND DON'T HAVE REGRETS !! on: October 04, 2018, 02:23:55 PM
As Blythe Masters said :

“You should be taking this technology as seriously as you should have been taking the development of the Internet in the early 1990’s.”  Shocked

So just put money every months in bitcoin and others altcoins , just a bit , but with the time , it will be a snowball !

But remember ,   WHEN YOU INVEST , JUST THINK THAT THE MONEY IS LOST ! and invest what you can loose !

Exactly, This kind of mindset is every crypto investors should have in their mind.
If you have regret invest in crypto, that means you cannot afford to lose what you invest.
Just think as an experience if you have done wrong actions. Cryptocurrency is very volatile, it will be normal if sometimes we make mistake.
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is best wallet for long term bitcoin holding? on: October 04, 2018, 09:31:24 AM
What is best wallet for long term bitcoin holding? I want to choose one wallet for bitcoin holding. Which one is best and have no bugs and problems? Which one is worse? Which one is easy to instal and easy to use. Which one you just prefer for long term holding.

The best wallet for long term holding bitcoin is the wallet address, that you don't use for your daily transactions.
You just make some wallet with new address, and keep the private key  or seed safe, then you can send btc to it and leave it without using.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expectations of experts on Bitcoin on: October 04, 2018, 07:50:24 AM
- Since January 2018, the currency of the bitcoin in a downward trend, losing 70.19% of its value against the US dollar, but in the past two weeks things were going well, and managed to rise from $ 5879 to $ 7410 dollars.

Expectations of a return to the downward trend of the currency once again and its decline to the value of 5388 dollars due to many news that will affect the currency, including:

First Lightning Network:

Second: Bitcoin and Iran:

And how about bitcoin ETF ? I heard that bitcoin ETF is the factors of bitcoin price too.
The lightning network is not done yet, it still need development to become mainstream among crypto users.
My expectation about bitcoin is still high, i believe it will be back on the previous highest price in the market later.
