bought drk when it was around a buck, checked out my wallet as I heard it hit $10 I have 141.1 drk, so should I sell and make $1400 or hold? Also if I wanted to sell how would I? Thanks

So what the heck happened to the local /remote setup for Masternodes? No longer valid? Pulling my damn hairs... worked flawlessly on testnet, yesterday I flip to main net on 10.8.6 and no longer working (apparently)
Yes, it is a real shame if this is the case. I probably won't set up a masternode until it is working. |

Let's say you wanted to run multiple Masternodes using offline local wallets...
Setting up several Masternodes in the cloud should be easy enough, if quite time consuming.
For offline wallets, the best idea I have come up with is to have multiple memory sticks each with a bootable OS and it's own DRK wallet on it. Label them according to which node they correspond to.
Anyone else have a better idea or see a flaw(s) in this plan?
Once flash drive fails you have 1K coins lost. I wouldn't trust one flash drive. Also, why would you need OS there? Why not simply wallet folder? The wallet.dat for each flash drive would be safely backed-up elsewhere. Yes, you're right - each flash drive could simply run its own copy of the wallet. Easier than I thought. |

All incoming transactions just accumulating darkcoin for close to a month now. Nothing going out to exchanges. Who is this massive whale and is he the one pumping darkcoin too? I suspect the Mintpal cold wallet. Just accumulating and accumulating coins, no transfers out? I don't think that would work. |

it really bums me out to see speculative talk overriding this thread all of a sudden. none of this was around when the price was at 70 and 80 cents a coin, and the thread was much more constructive as a result. you could see the progress of the coin unfolding then, but you can't now because it's obscured by too many people saying "DRK UP!" over and over and over again. people seem to be losing sight of the development of the coin and focusing only on their potential earnings. my advice is to save your speculation for the trollboxes of the world, leave this thread as a place to discuss the coin's tech & marketing developments and support for those with questions, and stop treating darkcoin like some sort of flash-in-the-pan gold rush - it deserves better.

Need to bump this +1000 (..although I have been a guilty party. I now see the error of my ways. I've been on enough Cinderella coin threads to know that). I remember coming here before I was invested and thinking what an industrious, level headed community it was that was more concerned with product development and technical integrity than price. (Thats why I bought). I have been guilty of this too, but let's face it, these sort of gains are exciting and the chatter doesn't have to detract from the excellent contributions people are making here. It will be business as usual on this thread when the market calms down a bit. |

Some huge volume just went in on Mintpal there. Talk about buying the all time high.
A 4704 DRK shot loomed over the horizon, about 4 order book levels away from the current price and a hawk swooped down on it and chewed it for breakfast.
That then set off a brief flurry of panic buying which moped up the remaining sells @ 7399. Now it's pandemonium. People have been patiently sitting waiting...."when is it gonna come down, when is it gonna come down so I can get in" and they're giving up, just buying every order in sight.
They should just hang tight.
It will correct soon enough and provide another boarding opportunity - albeit with not a huge amount of liquidity. But the thing that people need to realise is, you only need a few coins to be part of the party. If any coin succeeds in getting near Bitcoin's valuation, all you'll need will be in the 10's to have made a massive gain from getting on at this stage. I really enjoy your posts - thanks! |

anyone crazy enough to buy a 0.05 BTC stake for 10 BTC? that's my offer 10 BTC for 0.05BTC investment equals to a market cap of 60000BTC for 300BTC investment. Yeah, as valuable as NXT.... right^^ x200 could happen, but not for 6-12months IMO. I would sell my escrowed, 1st round stake for x10 if anyone is interested. |

I understand you need to have 1000 DRK in address 0 to run a masternode, but what if you wanted to run multiple masternodes from one remote machine?
