Hey CC, is there any chance of you re-opening the i0coin exchange on Bitparking?
With https://vircurex.com/ operating I don't think there's any need for it given the low level of use of i0coin at the moment. If it started getting used for other things I might get tempted. Would it be hard for you to start a Fairbrix exchange??? I miss FBX. I'm sure you miss it because you probably hold about 100k FBX to take a DUMP on the exchange lol nope I don't have any, I just like trading weird coins.

I know about:
BTC-E.com Vircurex.com exchange.bitparking.com slc24.com
Is there any other Altcoin exchanges still active?

It's not over until I say it's over...right?

Is it hard for you to count to one?

May I ask why you're interested in Fairbrix? I thought Litecoin was its successor.
Sure, More of a collector thing. When a Altcoin collapses or loses all its exchanges, it is basically worthless, but I would like to keep a few. Also, if anyone wants to get a few, I want to have enough to selling them a few.

You're doing it wrong in my opinion; you want total number of coins in circulation * the present trading price --> market cap.
1. BTC: $46,301,166 USD 2. SC2: $900,000 (In ~15 million coins; 99.8% of which is held by CoinHunter and close friends through his 13 million coin premine, so the real market cap is more like $1,800 as far as I am concerned. It's doubtful there's any liquidity close to the 1m$ amount. This is really dangerous; all it takes is one big dump by one of CH's friends and the whole currency goes to shambles.) 3. LTC: $60,274 USD 4. NMC: $57,225 USD 5. RUC: ? No idea what block they were on, but it's pre-mined like SC2 so it doesn't really matter.
The first line I wrote: I know the value per coin doesn't really mean anything because the value of a currency depends on the number of coin outstanding. But I figured it would be fun to see anyway. Also note that you couldn't find the info to complete the list. Why would you assume I have access to info you do not? just sayin http://bitcoinpie.com/ is the only place I know that has that info. What is the world coming to when you cant screw off during work... Thank you haha

Too bad you don't have a Volume column, that indicates relative interest in the coin.
Many have very, very low volumes, but I just wanted to focus on one easy thing. Like, if I had 1 of each coin, how much could I get for it? Also, I did this on my lunch break. The clock was ticking.

I know the value per coin doesn't really mean anything because the value of a currency depends on the number of coin outstanding. But I figured it would be fun to see anyway. I don't know the best way to decide the "correct" value, so I am going to go with highest bid (price you could sell 1 coin for)I can find on any exchange. To the list: As of 12PM CST 2/8/12:
1. Bitcoin USD: $5.5778 BTC: -- (MtGox)
2. Solidcoin USD: $0.04574 BTC: 0.0082 (BTC-E and slc24.com)
3. Namecoin USD: $0.02733 BTC: 0.0049 (Bitparking)
4. Litecoin USD: $0.01422 BTC: 0.00255 (Vircurex)
5. RuCoin USD: $0.00503 BTC: 0.000901 (BTC-E)
6. Tenebrix USD: $0.00074 BTC: 0.000133 (BTC-E) (Soon to lose its only exchange)
7. Liquidcoin USD: $0.00067 BTC: 0.00012 (Vircurex)
8. IXcoin USD: $0.00040 BTC: 0.000073 (Vircurex)
9. I0coin USD: $0.00011 BTC: 0.000020 (Vircurex)
10. Geistgeld USD: $0.00009 BTC: 0.000017 (Vircurex)
The only 2 other active coins I found is Devcoin and Fairbrix. You could buy 30 Devcoins for one Geistgeld and Fairbrix current has no outstanding bids.

Any more info on weeds or beertoken or any other would be awesome. I am starting a little site about the deadcoins (very very early stage): www.deadcoin.com
|
|
|
None of the coins have died yet, except coiled coin which was taken down. FBX and TBX might, but I0C and IXC ran without an exchange for about 1 month. I think it will grow, because unlike gold there are not hidden massive reserves on the moon or Eros. Otherwise it mimics gold.
So maybe beertokens, coiled, and weeds. I was really interested in weeds because they pre-mined 10,000,000 and had no mining. But the exchange had no orders.
I have never heard of beertokens or weeds. Can you point me to where I can learn more?
