785  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is God male or female? on: August 04, 2017, 10:49:00 PM
He identifies as male but gave birth to all life according to the bible. So he is probably a transgender male like the pregnant man, Thomas Bettie in Oregon!!!
786  Other / Politics & Society / Re: purpose of life on: August 04, 2017, 10:47:21 PM
There is a very easy and simple way to figure this question out that no one seems to look at. Let's take a look at life itself and see what it does. Well for starters, it evolves. It grows. Therefore the purpose of life is to grow. Grow in all attributes possible. Where is my evidence? Look around

789  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: August 04, 2017, 10:43:55 PM
what about the cost of re-teaching everyone how to spell things under the new system? Not to mention the cost of retro-actively converting all "current system" text to the new system of spelling? Then there's the issue of implementing a similar system of simplified spelling in other languages?

I think the world is doing fine right now with our current language, I think trying to make it easier though a noble idea, isn't at all worth it.
790  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will Religions die? on: August 04, 2017, 10:41:58 PM
When human suffering dies out.

In other words....never.

Unless of course you are like me, who believe that Christ will return one day and put an end to evil....but even in that case, we do not believe that will be the end to religion but its fulfillment.
791  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is science a religion? on: August 04, 2017, 10:40:34 PM
According to a commonly-acknowledged idea, science deals with " facts " whereas religion deals with " meanings ". If science attempts to answer the " how " and religion the " why ", there should not be any conflict between the two. Unfortunately, the situation is not so simple. It is true that science deals with efficient causes and religion with final causes, to use the technical words of the Aristotelian philosophy.1 But the general trend in the development of sciences is that the efficient causes push the final causes backwards and eventually eliminate them.

Having a PhD in psychology I can honestly and scientifically tell you that the stories don't exhibit bi-polar flight of ideas or paranoid schizophrenia at all. The stories are from a time period when our understanding of the forces of nature and the world around us were limited. These stories are nothing more than humans trying to grasp the complexities of the planet with little information. Not evidence of psychological disorder.

If you can claim any type of psychological disorder now, it would be mass cult conditioning.
793  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the United States of America? on: August 04, 2017, 10:38:16 PM
did you ask about US Government

Absolutely not...None should ever trust govt for anything. Government unfortunately is a necessary evil. Members of govt are only held down by its citizens, but if we give them too much power in which we have they will abuse their power. The people that believe politicians actually care about you are the dumbest narrow minded people you could ever meet. Throughout history governments that have grown too big are responsible 10x the number of deaths than all major wars and conflicts within the last 400 or so years. People are stupid too trust government

795  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are we brainwashed? on: August 04, 2017, 10:36:39 PM
Yes we are brainwashed, and entertained to death like Roger Waters sings.
But we're all brainwashed since day one, 300 years ago as well, go read some Bourdieu.

797  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How society works on: August 04, 2017, 10:35:18 PM
short answer is, it doesnt...

society is the dea of putting a plaster over a leaking pipe.
society is a band of peple trying to overcome human nature.
people are horrible. people are cruel and unforigiving.
the term society is agiven to express a part of humanism that isnt sadistic.

society is everyone al holding onto a single rope, a few ledges sit at the top to rest on and everyone is clawing their way to the top just from different starting points.
