789  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain New Miner S7-LN 2.7T @697W discussion (Not official) on: June 20, 2016, 04:40:23 PM
I've done extensive testing on underclocking and undervolting. Got mine to run 2TH at 20% fan and about 415W. Operating at low frequency won't really cause instability; the problems happen when you choose a frequency that is too high for the voltage (or a voltage too low for chips to operate at any frequency, since all semiconductors have a minimum operating voltage).

awesome, that sounds the ticket, do you happen to remember the frequency you used please?

he has a chart in his thread .  let me look for it.

link for you

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1504228.msg15257433#msg15257433

thanks  Grin

The thread's linked in my signature. I'll be updating that chart with more values and stuff, and should have a hex file package and flashing instructions posted today or tomorrow. I'm kinda behind on that.

cool, NP, I got what I needed from the info there, thanks alot for your work on the thread  Cool
790  Economy / Auctions / Sp20e jackson for sale, UK ONLY ending 26th june 8PM on: June 20, 2016, 04:21:22 PM
Hiya all, I have a sp20 up for grabs, been mining on it for a good few months, but has been running UNDERCLOCKED the whole time.

so all is running nice and cool, but will need a clean inside if poss, there is dust build up inside.

screenie form a 5 min run as it is now off.

this is for unit only, no PSU will be supplied, at current settings it does about 1.35Th @ ~850w

I say UK only as its really not worth shipping abroad.

This unit will start at 0.1BTC this will include the shipping mind. min bid increment is 0.001

Bidding will end at sun 26th at 8PM (20:00hr) UK TIME!

snipers be aware, the auction will continue for 15min EVERY bid, untill a full 15 min has past with no bid past 8PM.

I am happy to answer any other questions you may have in auction time, I am happy to accept escrow if you need too (I prefer sebastianju but any big member is ok with me)

thanks for looking.

Anyone underclocked one of these?

Why, I hear you say... A mate has bought one to run in his free power studio, but it is still a touch loud at night, any reports of lowest frequency is stable?

They come 600Mhz stock, and can select as low as 100Mhz, but not trying that in case of bricking it, lol
793  Other / Meta / Re: Do you think all members here in our forum experienced scam? on: June 20, 2016, 07:55:22 AM
Yes  Shocked

Anyone who knows my history knows I fall for things from time to time, I normally like to think I am wise to it now, but the scams are getting harder to detect. (in some cases, others are just getting worse)
794  Economy / Services / Re: I can make your webpage rank no.1 in google for a fee on: June 13, 2016, 09:31:38 AM
Interesting...

unfortunately, everything I get involved in is not real, I will wait for some real feedback before I jump on this one.

best of luck op. waiting......
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Squall Coin NO IPO, Made for you! STILL ALIVE on: June 13, 2016, 09:29:33 AM
still down, the move to plesk is not going well, the code does not copy well onto the new system, This is costing alot of time effort.

It might just have to go back up as an old server as the coins need to be dished out and avatar campaigns need to be run  Angry

on the plus side, the coin is still being used/traded and is still on yobit, I am still here.

thanks all for reading this thread, the coin is not going anywhere!
796  Economy / Services / Re: Seeking Legal Advice on business dispute affecting my mining operation on: June 13, 2016, 06:52:24 AM
This sounds strangely similar, I had a this problem a year or two ago, Turned out the person, moved the miners to point to their pool and claimed it was someone else kicking up a stink with power usage and had them cut off.

I'm not saying you have the same problem, but just be sure you know who your dealing with, I was double crossed, but they paid in the end.

my advice, move the equipment FAST! even if this is real, dont be caught up in other peoples disputes.
797  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: bitcoins and gambaling in UK on: June 10, 2016, 12:45:37 AM
The bitcoin or the gambling?

There's a gambling overview here - http://online.casinocity.com/jurisdictions/alderney/

Looks pretty darned busy.

I think the bitcoin idea was shut down by Guernsey who they're economically linked with. They wanted to do something with physical coins.

Thanks for the link, I am still looking to do this, but it is not easy, so many hoops!

I too have seen some sites just disappear, I'm guessing due to not forfilling requirements, if "they" are cracking down in it now, we will see more go!
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: any coin devs need a place to host give aways? on: June 10, 2016, 12:42:13 AM
Nice forum) I probably linger on it)
You will be doing double bitсointalk? or you are about to do something new?

Cool, thanks for that.

To be honest, I was hopeing to fill the gap and provide some features this forum does not, as this thread states, I am wanting to build up more of an altcoin section, there are other ways I differ, I do not allow trading of accounts, It just makes dealing with people harder IMO, I love this forum and I have no problem with what devs do here (I have been treated fairly by them) so I see .club as more of a other half to this one.

But we will see where it goes, I am happy to add features as demand rises.

A "squallcoin", will have some relevance to your forum? Or is it a failure topic?

a squallcoin is my released crypto currency, I have a thread here too about it, I am not sure what your asking? I placed my coin on my forum to get things rolling

800  Bitcoin / Legal / bitcoins and gambaling in UK on: May 26, 2016, 07:56:07 PM
Thinking of adding to my growing portfolio of projects by creating a gambling site, I have no idea where it stands in the eyes of "the law" It is not a currency (IMO) and does not link to a bank account, so do I need a gambling license? how are so many sites popping up?

I have done some light investigation and it's such a grey area, many people seem to think one can just up a scrypt to a server, and presto!

Are there any UK lawyers around to help me draw up a plan? I mean real lawyers, someone I can physically see, not a PM saying I can write a legal plan for X coins lol.

do I need to be an actual business?

This is a serious question and plan, I would like to see it through.

thanks all.
