781  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🐒 ApeSwap partnership on: September 17, 2021, 05:27:17 PM
Give them still some time as they are only in the beginning with the plans of their tokens to list it. Until now, they always delivered what they promised (check their roadmap), so the listing will come.
Binance will have a huge impact on the price, but mainly in the beginning. Than we might see a massive pump (or dump) but after that I think the "Binance effect" fades out.
Looking at how much of their current marketing is about "we have added new stuff, also listed on new places" and none of it "we are a casino, come join us!!" in other places. That should be the number one priority to make the token valuable.

Why do people buy this token? More correctly why did betfury claimed that this token would be any valuable? For the dividend reasons, now they are giving more from the yield farming part and they think that it is alright because they provided an alternative. What is the point of a betfury token if the only thing it can do is simply just be exactly same as all other farming tokens where you put it in LP and make a profit. Dividends should increase at least 10x more, there is no way else.
782  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Sponsor - UFC Official Betting Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: September 15, 2021, 08:22:22 PM
Just got an email from Stake that they are launching casino challenges (similar to what Rollbit is doing). Basically you need to hit a certain multiplier on a slot and you get a bonus if you are the first one (e.g.: hit a 5000x on The Dog House Megaways to win 1000$ if you are the first).
That would be a nice price bonus if someone will be able to hit that 5000x multiplier. I tried their other challenges but I didn't have enough luck for them, definitely I'll be skipping this one for now and will wait for their next challenge which I think I can possibly take some winnings.
I would guess that if someone is wagering 1000x more than us then they do deserve to win that is correct. However at the end of the day is it understandable that people who wager 50 bucks per month not to get anything at all? Literally zero? Is that really cool as well? So, there is a casino that keeps on giving out thousands of stuff, constantly doing things everyday and every week and every month, and some people are getting a lot of but some other people get nothing at all. What are we suppose to do? Just keep gambling here because stake is giving money to rich people? Is that really what you think should happen?

People going "oohhwooww, look at that guy who wagered a million dollars, he won another 5k!!!" and use that as a reason to stay here? I am sorry but yes whales should get something but small fish should get something as well.
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Michael Saylor buy the bitcoin.Bitcoin prices are likely to rise. on: September 15, 2021, 06:35:08 PM
Bitcoin is a coin that has made it very popular all over the world. Bitcoin's donation I saw is not falling below 45 thousand but it is moving towards further improvement. I was hovering around 47,000 in the middle of the day and now the price is expected to rise further because rich people like Elon Musk are buying bitcoin.
One of them is Michael Saylor.
I saw from some news that Michael Saylor will stop buying Bitcoin but it is not
MicroStrategy bought an additional 5,050 bitcoins for $ 242.9 million at an average price of $ 48,099 per bitcoin.
Michael Saylor tweeted this on Twitter yesterday.
Yes, there have been some people saying that institutions will stop buying Bitcoin because of the price that went down, but that is not the truth. Institutions are going to see the decrease in price now as an opportunity to buy even more bitcoins and keep, because they know that in the nearest future the price of Bitcoin is going to increase more than what it is now. What we are seeing now is like the least price that the Bitcoin is going to be at for now.

As time goes on we all know that there is going to be more increase. Time will come when a lot of people are going to be wishing that they bought Bitcoin at this price of $40,000 or even $50,000, because at that time there's not going to be a price that's as low as this.
784  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: September 14, 2021, 09:49:50 PM
It's joyous to make gains in trading. The problem is how does one control his mind when there is a huge lose
The issue with most people is that they are always Expecting to make gains all the time, due to that when they lose it affects them negatively. But, if you have it in mind that there are risks involved in what you are doing, then you will be ready for whatever will be the outcome of it.

So, I think the solution to this is that people should always be ready for what’s coming, they should understand that there are risk involved in trading cryptocurrency daily  and they should invest what they can afford to risk, if not that way then they’re not going to be happy with what’s going to happen to them. Imagine when you don’t have enough money and you are investing all that you have, then you are going to feel the pain when you lose it.
785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: September 14, 2021, 06:30:58 PM
It would take you years, more than 4 years, to understand the market. I hope you will be fine within your first 4 years.

Let's take it simple because simplicity is the best.
  • You don't have to know or understand the TA or FA. I don't say such analyses are useless but you can get profit by another approach
  • Look at the Fear & Greed index
    • As the saying goes "Being fearful when others are greed, being greed when others are fearful"
    • Check the index with Altenartive.me
    • You can compare the Fear & Greed Index chart with chart of Bitcoin, and see the above saying is correct or wrong
You could definitely check those to see what's about to happen, I personally do check them to see it, but it doesn't mean that it guarantees you what it will do. For example, lately it has been more like if the price is high than it is greed, if the price is low then it is fear type of situation there.

There are moments when it is low and not fearful and high and not greedy as well but that index misses that most of the time. In any case that shows it fearing right now and I am guessing that a huge price action is about to happen, I would say that it is mostly correct and I agree with it, after all who wouldn't want to see it go up, but I have to say that it is certainly not a guaranteed deal.

China - everything is fine! But everything is bad ...

The other day I came across one very interesting article. True, it is in Russian, so I will give here a translation of the key parts for discussion. And you can read the article itself using google translate.
It’s totally how the government, the elites at the top are always ready to do anything just to fatten their pockets no matter if it’s going to affect the people negatively or not, their interest is just on themselves and not those that they are leading. Sometimes I wonder if these people are really humans or monsters in human skin, because they really surprise me with the way they act. They tend to push people to the wall, and time might come when people will get tired of all that’s happening and decide to fight for themselves, and it’s not really going to be good for them.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to make passive income in crypto with altcoins on: September 02, 2021, 06:47:02 AM
After performing an extensive “DYOR” on cryptocurrencies, it turns out that there are different avenues to make profit or gains within the crypto space. Based on your expertise, which avenues works the most gains for you and why?
Trading is a good one to do, I have been doing trade for long and it has been working really well for me. Apart from trading I also Hodl, that’s what I mostly what I do because I don’t get the chance to be trading all the time. There are lots of other ways you can earn with altcoins and some people stake their coins, but I am not into that one because I am not really interested, haven’t seen anything that will interest me to do that, so I just look for something else to do instead of that. Maybe I will try it someday, but for now it doesn’t interest me.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL vs Staking, What is the best strategy? on: September 02, 2021, 05:41:27 AM
Of course staking is more profitable than holding. what I know is that there is no bitcoin staking, staking is usually done by coins to test the system's resilience, the effectiveness of the blockchain network, I follow some staking such as Cardano, ANKR, SERUM and Mina.
No doubt, active investment (staking) is better than passive investment (hodl) but there are problems with active investments. You need to ensure that the website or platform that's staking the coins for you is not a Ponzi or some other kind of scam. There's technically no way to stake Bitcoins but there are sites offering interest on your holdings. If I'm not wrong, crypto(.com) does something like that.

I don't really understand the logic of earning a few extra dollars on your precious Bitcoins when you can just lock them in a safe wallet and avoid getting scammed. I haven't been into staking much but from what I understand, if you stake your coins, you don't have the private keys under your control. No keys mean you technically don't own the coins.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Sponsors New MrBeast YouTube Video! on: September 02, 2021, 05:04:28 AM
I haven't watched the video yet but sure I will. With such sponsorship given away in bitcoin and it is MrBeast, there's a huge viewership that also going to be part of educating his viewers and fans about bitcoin. I'm seeing the picture of it positively and hopefully, there will be more of this.
I've seen a video before but not sponsored around 2017 through GuavaJuice that he has bought a mystery box and received assets in crypto including bitcoin and other alts.
They actually paid a small amount to 2 participants who went out of the circle, $2k in BTC. I was laughing inside on a funny thought, imagine if the guys who got paid in BTC just hold the coins and a few years later they might technically hold/win more than the winners itself because the price of BTC can easily go around a million in the next couple of years.

To be honest, I think coinbase could have spent the money in a more productive manner because there's hardly anyone who watches Mr. Beast will ever check out who's the sponsor and all. Most of the audience that watches his videos are people who just want to watch some fund videos.
791  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | $100k+/week contest | VIP | on: September 01, 2021, 08:36:45 PM
I am one of the people who doesn't want to see all of the money will losing in just one day and prefer to leave some balance that I can use in the next days.
Some people, including me, prefer to limit our money to playing gambling, especially if we can have fun on that day and leave the balance in our account.
Yeah, that is weird, but I think that is more about how we can treat gambling to have fun with money involved.
Smart gambling is an important thing, we should all try to do the same thing if we can, it is definitely a method that we should always use for gambling in any casino. I end up depositing a fix amount at the first of every month (if I have none left on my account) and then gamble with it every month, if I use it all up in the first week then I stop gambling until next month, and if I end up winning then I do not deposit until I finish that up.

Those are the type of stuff that we need to handle, if we are smart about gambling then I am sure that we will always be profiting from these situations. It doesn't have to be profit that is monetary all the time, but it is definitely something that is profitable both emotionally and also psychologically as well. Gambling is a big risk, and that risk is addiction and if we manage to conquer that, it gives us confidence for other stuff in our lives too.
792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Go About Crypto Trading For Newbies. on: September 01, 2021, 08:12:37 PM

To sum up, my advice for newbies: Let's start off with hodling and after they earn profit (x2, x5, whatever), let's use only 10% of profit for trading. For the rest, let's keep it for investment, hodling again.
That's a good list to give to newbies, I shall save that for the next time a newbie asks about it. I have to say that personally I believe that we should not be trading at all when we first start, because it takes time to find a lot of good coins to invest into, you could always buy bitcoin and just hold that but the diversification is required for greater profit which means that you need to find more, and if you pick like let's say 10 coins to invest into, then it is going to take a lot of time for you to be able to pick that 10 out of thousands of coins in existence.

This is why for your first few months you should not trade at all, pick good coins and have long term investments on them, and learn how to trade meanwhile, there are thousands of sources to find how to trade and learn some of them. This will result with a great return in the long run.
793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How weird is it to borrow money and invest into Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2021, 06:58:10 PM
Has anyone tried the numbers? Looking at one published rate of lending for BTC loans (providing your BTC as collateral), I was wondering if this was a form of DCA by borrowing and investing into more. So instead of buying BTC every day or every month as in DCA. You pay off a loan every day.

So look and tell me if my numbers are bad.

1. Loan 80% of BTC collateral value at APR 12%. So if I put in $10000 of BTC I get $8000 to buy more BTC and I have to pay back daily till I pay back $8960.
2. In total, I am down $960 after a year, which I pay daily $24.55, of which $2.63 is the interest.

But this way I increase rightaway my BTC by 80% and am forced to pay for it every day, like enforced DCA in a roundabout way. I feel like I could consider it, only the problem is locking it in the platform for one whole year.
I would say consider that with fiat and a bank and you got yourself a great deal, do it with bitcoin collateral place and not so much. Normally in USA banks the interests are much much lower and you never have to lock your money neither, you just take out a 8k loan, pay back much less in a year, like 8.4k total or something (depends on your credit score of course) and then you will end up with a great deal of return over long period of time.

This way you are paying less, getting your DCA sort of, and you can pay less plus the good side is if you have other income the amount is so cheap that you could potentially pay that back with your regular income as well, the upside is that instead of you buying bitcoin directly with your money slow by slow, you are getting in all at the same time so if the price goes up then you are in big profit as well.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Prediction – Will ETH Hit $5,000 Soon? on: August 31, 2021, 08:30:54 PM
Of course, 2021 will be a brilliant year for Ethereum, because at the beginning of the year there was an increase of 1000% ( $1,400) . And 8 months later, Ethereum is around $3,500 (now). Price speculation continues at this time, but my prediction is that Ethereum will reach $5,000 in early 2022.
Now is the time to make a decision on $ETH. I'm still bullish for a push up to $3600 or $3800. Therefore, $3000 is support and we don't want to close below that.

It is human nature to complain. They used to ask why it wasn't pumping, but they'll ask the same thing again when it pumps. It is a never-ending circle. Despite the red market ETH turning green, the result is still impressive.
Things are not looking so great for Bitcoin with how it is 47k again and all that. However looking at ethereum it is up today, while most other things are down, ethereum is up and that proves your point. I personally believe that we could totally see ethereum at 4k soon, even above that 3.6k to 3.8k levels but I agree that is the thing that we should reach for now, if we can reach those prices then we could break over 4k once again.

3k is not really a full support, price did drop under 3k not too long ago and went back up, there is one at around 2680 or so, basically somewhere between 2.6k to 2.7k and that could be one, but not 3k, which is why  I am fine with 2.9k for example if it is a daily move but a crash would scare me of course. These days it is not about what the price of any coin drops to, it is about how fast, if something crashes that's bad, if you go down 10% in a single hour that's bad, but if you do that in 3 days? I don't think that's too bad.
795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I start trading? on: August 30, 2021, 08:54:11 PM
Hello everyone, I just got introduced into crypto by a friend and would like to know how do I go about doing it. Have went through lots of tutorials from different places but did not quite understand how to use them and what to see. That's when I thought a forum would be the next best place to place such a question.
The topic is filled with how to start suggestions and that's a great thing, I am happy that everyone is willing to help newbies and I am glad to see that people do not discourage people to start trading, after all we need more people to be hyped about trading for living, if not then just for hobby, it's good for bitcoin, higher the volume better the volatility.

However I have to say it's very important to make newbies realize that they will not profit from trading when they first start most probably, sure they may get lucky, or maybe it is bull market and they can make profit without much work or understanding because it is just a bull market and everyone wins, but eventually it is not sustainable and they may end up losing money. Which is why I honestly believe that we should warn them about potentially losing, and still keep learning more and more because there is a profit at the end of that road.
796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: August 30, 2021, 07:24:50 PM
For me at age 10 my children should understand the market and how it works, interpreting chats and deciding the next move of each coin from studying the price action of different coins. At age 13 the should start trading with a demo account and at age 15 they should have funded their first account. This would help them become financially independent, also help then limit future gambling prowess and also make them prepared for their careers

Funds has been one of the limiting factors many people encountered while pursuing their dreams and ambitions. For me I see it as means where the could comfortably fund their ambitions without much stress and still have enough for fun and recreation.
When I was 6-7 years old, computers were not a thing that was abundant in every house, most companies had it but it wasn't in houses too much yet, sure there were some people who had it, but it was early 90's in a third world nation so it wasn't very common, probably like 10% of the people had it, so it was a rare thing to have a computer in your house and let alone just so that your kid play computer games, that part was seriously rare, nearly nobody bought a computer to let their kids play a computer game.

So, one day after I played some computer games at my mom's work which had a PC, I came home and told my dad I wanted a computer, and he told me he would buy one if I could get the initial money, which was about 200 bucks, and computer was around 1200 bucks, so after you paid the 200 at first, the other 1000 became a 100 per month for 10 month thing.

What did I do? I worked hard and went to everyone I know and did child work, like bring them groceries, get then newspapers, and many other things, even sold small stuff with the capital I had to make it bigger, I made it in under 3 months and gave it to my dad who was shocked, he thought it would be impossible and that is why he said it, couldn't believe I made that when I was 7 years old, so that is how I got my first ever computer at age 7, when nobody else had a computer at that age (not that I did anything with it, just played games and never helped me in the future). I want my kids to be like that, I was always good with money ever since that age.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: What could make a hacker return stolen $600m crypto on: August 29, 2021, 08:39:51 PM
A hacker return stolen crypto

Quote
But was the thief a good samaritan who stole the money to expose a dangerous security flaw

Quote
"I am not very interested in money!” the hacker wrote, adding it was “always the plan” to return the funds.

How can that happen that a hacker does that I return the stolen crypto and say he is not interested in money. This is funny K can say that. What do you think about this story.
LOL, an interesting story. Well, I have seen a few hackers do this, they hack the company and steal their money and return it after. It do happen, and like some comments here have said, they do it to make the company realize the faults in their system. And sometimes these companies can go ahead to even hire these hackers to work for them and fix these things.

I have even seen companies that hired and paid white hathackers to check their platform and discover where their security might be faulty. One of the companies that I have seen do this in the past is Coinbase, there was a time they were hiring white hat hackers. So this is nothing new, and it’s good to have these hackers around, and not just the bad ones.
798  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria leads sub-Saharan Africa’s P2P bitcoin trade on: August 29, 2021, 06:23:50 PM
It is evident with the speed of Nigeria youths getting more attracted on online businesses, bitcoin trading is one sure angle to look into for investment with the rate of volatility. Nigeria is therefore increasing in bitcoin popularity which P2P is relied on heavily for transaction because of the CBN on accounts connected to banks and cryptocurrency exchanges. This is having more positive outlook for the bitcoin crypto economy.
In a case like this the government are the ones that are losing and not the people. They might think that they have won, but now they will be surprised how everything has turned out. Their intention was to stop the people from making use of cryptocurrency, and they ended being the foolish ones in this case.

I have seen this news before, and this happened immediately they banned cryptocurrency, people started rushing into P2P platforms, such as Paxful which recorded high number of traders coming from Nigeria to trade on their platform. This is the same thing that will happen in other countries where the government decides to ban cryptocurrencies, people will switch immediately to P2P.
799  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin fans have developed into a political force. Is this the dawn of victory? on: August 29, 2021, 05:50:28 PM
If an organization composed of Bitcoin fans develops into a political force, I think that bringing new vitality and growth space to digital currency is also an important opportunity for the wider application of Bitcoin. I am looking forward to it. I even think this is a historic step. Imagine that if Bitcoin forum members (consensus) can form a community organization, will they be able to run for the president of the United States? If you want to be more exaggerated, a virtual sovereign state appears on the Internet. Just like in online games, you can even find a girlfriend, which feels amazing.
Nope, not a good idea, sorry. First of all read why Satoshi Nakamoto developed bitcoin – it’s a decentralized currency. So, if it’s a decentralized currency, then what’s the need of the same community to form a centralized organization? That means we’re creating a target for the government. It’s best as it is, we have been able to grow like this and we have reached this level we are now without having any centralized organizations or anyone controlling the community, not even Satoshi himself, do why are we going to be needing that now? I understand you, but it’s still not necessary.
800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future vs Spot Trading on: August 28, 2021, 06:36:31 PM
What is better and which one would you guys prefer. I have been doing spot trading but i haven't made much money, so i was kind of making up my mind to jump in future trading but a lot of my friends are asking me not to as they think that i can loose big. So what you experienced traders prefer?
It is usually best to get really good with whatever you are doing first before you talk about doing other things. How good are you when it comes to spot trading, have you perfected your skills well enough in this area? It is really important that you get very good at the one you’re doing now, and when you’re good you can then think of spreading out to other areas of trading.

Futures it is a good one for sure, there are lots of advantages in it, but that is not to say we should forget the risks that’s involved in it, you can lose a lot of money in futures even in the slightest price movement.
