781  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Without power, how many years can a hardware wallet retain data? on: September 28, 2023, 10:51:13 AM
I have another question to ask everyone.
USB flash drives typically use TLC, and after 2-3 years without power, it may experience data loss.
So, how many years can a hardware wallet (like trezor one) retain data without power?

It's possible that ordinary users may not power up their hardware wallets for 2-3 years or longer.

I broke my previous hardware wallet by just not openly it for a year. Hardwallet needs to be open even once a month as per the general care description of the device.

I believe the year of storing the data is not important since you can always recover all your assets stored on broken hardware by importing the seedphrase on any software wallet that support wallet import. The durability of the hardware wallet is your main concern rather than retaining the data inside since it will be there as long as the device is working.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 28, 2023, 10:38:15 AM
There's nothing wrong with flexing your win, especially with odds of 100.00. That's for sure a very lucky bet for you, man, something you should be happy about. Personally, if I had won with those kinds of odds, I would do the same, as that would somehow give me satisfaction. After all, us gamblers do not win all the time; in fact, we lose most of the time, that's a fact.

That odds is really big but it’s still not worth it if you bet small amount of money not unless you are just hunting that kind of multiplier for a tournament or event. For me, The odds of winning doesn’t matter because most important is the value of the profit for the bet outcome.

I will be happy to win bet with 2.0 odds with 50$ bet rather than 0.2$ bet on 100 odds. I’m not discouraging the OP but my comment is based on my personal preference because I’m sure that it will take tons of bet for me to hit a 100 odds bet.
783  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: September 27, 2023, 04:42:51 PM
the BFG token price is also quite stable even though the Bitcoin price is now dumping

It's because Betfury current price is already in the bottom way below the listing price. I believe most of the early investors already exit while the current holder are those who earn Betfury through rakeback and staking rewards or some holders that purchased recently during the low price.

I will be surprised if the price goes way lower since it means that someone whale holder is dumping tokens or worst the team cashing out their token allocation.  Being stable below the low price is not a good sign but rather no one is interested to add more tokens at the current price. It's only good for investors that wants to enter BFG market.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons you should not gamble on too many things at once. on: September 27, 2023, 08:31:43 AM
If you have the habit of playing and gambling on different sports and game, I think it is not good because of some few reasons like;

This is correct but because of the reason you provided but rather you will divided focus and attention when playing gambling multiple games and sports at the same time. I experience this personally on live games by playing bacarrat, blackjack and crazy time. It’s stressful and confusing at same time since betting on different games with different results gives me mix emotion that addects my overall gambling experience.

I’m winning on the other game and lose on the other one. This makes me tilted to become aggressive on betting and the result is terrible. Winning gambling is already very hard when you are already focus on one game, adding more games at once will surely increase your risk since you are battling on multiple house edge that is fixed per games of your choice.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You choose the best site. 💪 on: September 27, 2023, 08:25:14 AM
Invest the money in a place like learn bitcoin trading and holding your life will be better and you stay away from drugs and drink less alcohol.

I don’t understand the call to stop gambling or alcohol ingestion while investing money is completely irrelevant to gambling since it’s not an investment nor income generating activity. Many get the wrong misconceptions about gambling as source of income that’s why they are often being compared to investment. It’s like why buy phone instead of putting your money on food while both phone and food has different functions that both needed in different way.

Gambling is a leisure activity or source of entertainment. It’s really not a game for shallow pockets since it burns money most of the time due to its nature but it's for player that seeking for fun by risking money that they can afford to lose. Gambling is not investing and you can do both with proper asset management.
786  Local / Pilipinas / Re: isang banko magooffer ng bitcoin trading sa app nila on: September 27, 2023, 07:18:07 AM
Agree dito.

787  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: September 27, 2023, 05:21:52 AM
There's ongoing risk-free contest sponsored by Shuffle.com here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5468109.msg62902428#msg62902428 (2 contest in one thread).
You can join any of the 2 contest because it's not mandatory to join both as per OP.

Just a remember: The 1st contest In case you win you just need to wager it by 2x. Very basic right?

I saw this contest and planning to participate on the prediction. The x2 wagering requirements is very fair considering how easy the requirements and a chance to double with just minimal bet. I'm not good on football prediction but I can exert some time on research to have a better prediction.

I'm waiting for free spin drop code here aside from the sports tournament. I hope that shuffle will continue to offer bonuses with fair wagering requirements compared to other casino that has a wagering requirements that make sure rewards is almost impossible to claim with normal wagering.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 26, 2023, 10:56:58 PM
Instead of outrightly banning gambling, how about if the concerned countries officially include gambling education in their academic syllabus, just like sex education is taught in schools. Gambling education will teach the young ones the dangers of gambling and promote moderation in gambling. Will this not be a better way to handle the gambling cases?

This is not a bad idea if there’s really a way to have an edge against casino. The problem is most gambling games is just based on luck while only few games that is skill based which typically very hard to master even with proper education.

Banning the gambling in the country is still the best thing to do so that they can control the general public. Only few people keep gambling even with the restrictions and risk of freezing account while the majority is still avoiding it due to the law. I believe having few violators is still success compared with a general public that has a gambling problem that will affect the output of their economy due to the manpower problem.
789  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: September 26, 2023, 01:58:05 PM
Another KYC related case? This one involves a small amount which implies that he was flagged for something shady or it could have just been a system error. Whatever the case, he needs to stay patient since there's nothing else that he can do.

Also, he needs to update the status of his case in this thread itself instead of forgetting about it.

He only mention 90$ since it’s his profit but the total money involved on his account was 790$ which 700$ is his original deposit and 90$ is his profit. To summarized, the current amount that Duelbits temporarily holding in his account was 740$ due to the KYC while 50$ was already withdrawn earlier before KYC.

I think this is just a regular KYC probably due to his withdrawal pattern after profit or regarding the method on how he get that profit.
790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin price increase after halving? on: September 26, 2023, 01:47:32 PM
Actually Bitcoin Price was never instantly surging after the halving, it needs few months even a year for the Bitcoin to actually reach new all time high after the previous halving.

Price surging is different on the ATH. ATH is the peak which means the end of price surge. Typically the price of Bitcoin pump before the halving and continuously follow that trend for months or years until it reach the ATH. So technically price surge already happening even before not halving. The ATH is the one that is not instant since it’s the end of the bullish cycle.

And what makes the price surging is not the halving itself it's the reduce of mining rewards which cause the reduce of additional supply while the demands for Bitcoin is increasing, that's what make the price surging. So, in another more simple word, there is no guarantee that Bitcoin price will increase after halving.

Agreed! Price pump is really due to the price speculation of Bitcoin holders and traders. Since the current circulating supply of Bitcoin is still the same when halving occur. Speculation is what creates a temporary hype to pump the price then correct later.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Question on Credits Left on a Slot Machine by Someone Else on: September 26, 2023, 11:38:34 AM
There is a general rule in land based casinos that a gambler shouldn't take credits left on a slot machine by someone else. Basically, from what I understand, if there is still credit showing on a slot machine. Don't cash out or add to your money you put into the machine. Right? The question is if you find a cash out voucher resting on the machine itself or on the seat, can you legally use it?

The credits has no infringed ownership itself which is why you can use it if the the real owner abandoned it already. It’s like a dollar on the floor which no one pick up. There’s no ownership for credits unless once it was left behind. Besides, you can always refund it once the owner claim it and prove ownership using the cctv footage but I doubt anyone is willing to go on that extent just for the penny credits.

Easy answer is yes! You can use it especially if the machine is already free. But make sure that the previous player is long gone before you so that you will have no problem once you use it already.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 25, 2023, 04:44:33 PM
Satisfying your thrills?? Hahhhh... Alright, in what way do you normalize the frequency - influenced by your thrills to betting significantly and utilizing even more of your bankrolls??.... How's that fun to you?? Hasn't there been a time that you feel used up too much and that you have to stop wagering for Christ sake???
Well, I understand how strong the urge is when you're on the losing side - it makes no difference when you keep wagering anyways.
Each are different. Some prefers low risks while some wants the higher one and the OP is among with it. Normalizing the frequency can be done by controlling our betting size or sessions. The OP might look addicted but I can feel that he still knows how to do it or to stop once he think is already going too much.

You can’t blame here since reading the OP without having same experience on it will surely looks like the is just doing a risky bet but reading the whole thread while you have a deep gambling knowledge will help you easily understand what OP really doing here.

You’re right, we have different preferences on how we gamble since not all users want to play slowly using small amount as you we can witness on the casino history about different betting amount on different game. Most important is how we enjoy ga,bling since there’s no guarantee that you will get consistent profit by doing slow type bets.it’s still based on luck.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can provide support to online betting sites abroad in the Turkish market. on: September 25, 2023, 04:16:07 PM
I commend the courage on an announcing your service offer here using your account with negative feedback while you can create new account to start with fresh account.  Cheesy

Just like @Oshondy stated, no one will gonnna hire with just sweet word of your offer because your account is newbie unless you can provide a valid portfolio that will show good result for your previous service done with other customer.

I believe it’s still allowed to maintain this thread on gambling board since it’s an offer specifically for casino service.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with spam and scam tokens on my wallet? on: September 25, 2023, 03:29:22 PM
How can I get rid of them? How can I stop such "left" tokens from being sent to me? What do you do with such tokens? I tried to see these tokens through PancakeSwap and Trust Wallet, but they are not displayed there.

Just like everybody suggest, Just ignore those tokens since its useless anyway. You can’t see it on your wallet either unless you import their smart contract address manually to your wallet assets.

It's almost impossible to stop receiving these kind of tokens since they are using smart contracts to automatically airdrop all the wallets that holding certain token such as BNB and other popular blockchain tokens. Blockchain displays all the token holder address so there's no way to avoid them unless you don't hold any tokens on your wallet address most of the time then your wallet will be safe from spam tokens. Avoid holding native blockchain tokens for a long time.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 25, 2023, 11:10:01 AM
In my opinion, gambling is not always about luck, even though that is the biggest factor, other variables also have an influence in increasing the potential for winning in gambling activities such as; strategy, analysis, emotion, and timing. These variables have a big role in increasing the chances of winning at gambling and are what gamblers need to master to be successful.

It depends on what kind of game you are playing because most of the gambling games is purely based on luck such as slot which means no matter what strategy will not gonna give you any slight advantage of increasing your winning probability.

These variable that you mention is only applicable on gambling games that involves analysis skills such as poker and sportsbook but the rest of the gambling games is pure luck and designed to be like that so that players can play easily without overthinking each bets.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving and inflation on: September 25, 2023, 10:52:53 AM

Despite how halving increases the price of bitcoin to make it more profitable to investors, I'm wondering if it will not lead to devaluing of the currency in every four years? Will the effect of these not be inflation of bitcoin in every four years? I'm quit new in bitcoin, and I might be wrong, but I think that as halving continues to occur, bitcoin value might start to diminish gradually. And will it not negatively affect the purchasing power of bitcoin, in making payments for goods and services? I stand to be corrected.

You probably overlooked what’s the definition on halving. It’s not really about price increased but rather decreasing the reward of miners into half. It creates disinflationary pressure to Bitcoin value since less Bitcoin can be mined and added to the circulating supply. Halving is literally the solution to avoid inflation on Bitcoin market.

I believe the problem is how you view halving as some sort of price pump to coin every 4 years which is not the real essence of halving/halfing.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: September 25, 2023, 09:57:33 AM
Team Spirit still won DreamLeague Season 21 and received 300k in prize money. In the grand final it’s 3-0 on the maps, but if you take the final of the winners against SB, then it’s 2-1. If you look at the total, 5-1 in favor of Team Spirit on the cards, this is a stunning result. If they approach the TI in the same form, then the chances of winning will be great. After winning here, they are given odds of 5.3, but before that it was 7.8. I remember that I’m not a fan of betting on who will win the tournament, but it’s interesting from the point of view of setting odds and I'm keeping an eye on it.

Team Spirit back with their TI form now that Collapse is finally master the current meta and Larl already well synchronized to the team. YatoroGod is trully the one true carry since he is unstoppable once he already got the space he needed.

I believe too that they have high chance of winning TI since their performance on Dreamleague and Riyadh Master is both consistent dominant. This is their same pattern when they first won their TI. I don’t know what team can match them now that GG is already struggling on this Meta.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino features you like and Don't like but you don't mind on: September 24, 2023, 02:46:56 PM
The KYC feature can be a positive step to ensure underage children are not involved in gambling. But we must also remember that underage children can find casinos that do not require KYC upon registration and if the children only gamble with small amounts of money, they will be fine. But everything will change when the casino submits a request to perform KYC. That would result in the kids moving on to another casino or even borrowing an adult's ID for verification.

This not entirely true since underage player can always use ID of their parents to verify their account. I’ve done this before on exchange when I’m still underage and doesn’t have valid ID to verify my account. Some parents doesn’t care about KYC since they don’t know much online technology.

The only benefits of KYC for me is the ability to recover my account when it’s hacked since I can prove ownership using my ID that I use to verify my account.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: September 24, 2023, 01:49:54 PM
I have a feeling that BB will turn the tide in their favor and win map 2 and then map 3 to procced to DreamLeague Season 21 finals against Spirit.

I also think that BB vs Spirit will be a show between them as we already saw what SR can do against Spirit ...and it was not great to watch the series with Spirit being so dominating in all 3 games.

And its gone. Grin Shopify Rebellion will face Team Spirit in the Finals! A rematch in this tournament. It is best of Five game. What is your pick and predition in this Best of Five game.

Correct Score Prediction?
Me: Correct Score Team Spirit 3-1 Shopify Rebellion. 1st Game TS, 2nd TS, 3rd SR and 4th Game Team Spirit.

If Lulba can draft a good line-up that doesn’t focus much on relying to RTZ late game then Shopify Rebellion has the chance to win. Lulba always draft a hero that rely too much on RTZ being online and hard carry the team late game while RTZ sometimes failed to deliver just like what happened on game 2 against BB.

Shopify needs to focus their for Abed since he is the real play maker and carrying the team. RTZ can’t carry if Abed doesn’t give him enough space on early to mid game while Yatoro on the other team is a monster on farming and carrying even with worst case scenario. Shopify Rebellion winning chance is based on how they draft heroes for Abed.
800  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 24, 2023, 01:38:24 PM
Maybe I'm stressing out too much because I'm yet to find proper housing to establish myself again after being away for over a year in the military. I'm generally an anxious person myself, but does anyone else feel the same, and how do you deal with it? How do you stay optimistic?

Don’t overthink! I experienced same stress before during pandemic since my job becomes temporarily close while I have a lot of fixed bills on monthly basis that need to be paid especially insurance.

I focus on my current resources and try sellings goods on social media which helps me a lot to get extra income. I live near the manufacturing area of goods which I resell it on lower price compared to retail. I will not overcome this stress if I will just overthink about the problem and stop finding solutions. Check what resources you have and capitalize on that to get extra profit that will cover your expenses.
