781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy sell BTC? on: March 14, 2024, 12:42:03 PM
Sooner or later Michael Saylor or MicroStrategy would sell its bitcoin because, in the end, the Company wants a piece of the profit tho I believe both Michael Saylor the company MicroStrategy gonna sell all of it, Maybe they gonna sell like a quarter or even a half of it but not all of it.

It's all for profit, so if they feel it's not enough, they won't sell it all, but if they need money or feel it's profitable enough, there's no reason not to sell it all. I don't rule out the possibility that they will sell out of bitcoin during the next bull season when bitcoin peaks and that will probably be the cause of another bear market. And then, they continue to buy back bitcoin during bear season at lower prices.

Don't be too naive to believe that they will never sell all their bitcoins, they are large organizations and have enough potential to manipulate the market more than we think.

On Michael Sailor Moon, I disagree. I speculate that it is not only profit for him. He is certainly doing this for his legacy and also why would he sell bitcoin if this is going to become something similar to gold? Uncle Larry and Aunt Cathie has been buying much of the bitcoin cousin Barry has been dumping.

There was a news article that mentioned Blackrock has presently more bitcoin than Microstrategy. This is only the beginning of this race who creates a legacy. Will it be Michael Sailor Moon or the new mayor of bitcoin Larry Fink.

Just because they sell bitcoins and make a profit doesn't mean they will never buy them back when they drop in price. Like all of us here, we will sell and take profits when bitcoin hits $100k or $200k. But is anyone saying they will never go back to buying bitcoin or will people wait for bitcoin to drop to $50k and then start another accumulation?
If I remember correctly, blackrock is a fund that owns assets worth more than 10 trillion USD, do you think that if they buy, buy and never sold, they could have that huge amount of assets?
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL bitcoins, you can do it! Look at HODL camp map to build up strong hands on: March 14, 2024, 12:32:30 PM
They are in belief that being a trader is the way to riches but they don't realize that it's the hardest path and we've got some easiest strategy and that's effortless through DCA.

Being a holder and just adding up more bitcoins by having buying is what they just have to realize that they'd able to see why we keep on telling and suggesting people to do it.

No need to get into the battle of hassle with other traders when you can HODL and DCA.
It cannot be denied that buying and holding bitcoins is the safest way to invest in bitcoins, but for those with the ability and skills to trade, trading to increase the amount of bitcoins is not so bad. Just because we can't win at trading doesn't mean everyone is like us. I have a friend who makes a living as a day trader and so far he's been fine. It can be said that everyone has different skills, so we should know who we are and what our strengths are so that we can make appropriate choices that bring the best benefits to us. Don't imitate others just because they are successful that way, each person has a different path to success.
I will not want to encourage anyone to trade Bitcoin, it most times don't end well and make people have bad things to say about bitcoin. As we are discussing how to hold for long time, discussing trading of bitcoin here might be out of place. There is a proper section for trading and that place is agoge with different trading strategies that can be used to supposedly increase the Bitcoin.

You already supported the fact that buying and holding bitcoin is the safest way to invest in Bitcoin, why will you jettison the safest way for some risky way with promise of huge gains that is not even guaranteed? It is not the best way to go about investing in bitcoin. I started as a trader so I know how tricky it can be even to those who think they have mastered the skills. More often than not, people end of losing their entire assets to trading when they were hoping to make major wins. Therefore, buying bitcoin and holding is the best approach.

I advocate that holding bitcoin is the safest way to invest, but I am not saying that it is the way to make the best profits. Just because you like safety with moderate profits doesn't mean everyone likes safety and peace as much as you do. Each person has different investment preferences, strengths and skills. I have been making profits from trading and using those profits to reinvest in many different projects. So why should I stop trading just because you and some other people are not making profits from trading? DO NOT imitate others but also do not impose your thoughts on others.

Why do people who cannot make money from trading start thinking that it is not a good investment method? Just like altcoins, many investors are profiting from altcoins, memes... while bitcoin maximalists go around saying bad things about others. Would doing so help us deliver better returns than those investing in altcoins?

Jadon Sancho can pay off his Borussia Dortmund loan fee in one swoop, effectively ensuring the Bundesliga club get him for free from Manchester United.
The Red Devils exiled Sancho after a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag just a month into the season.

Well, we already know that he is not going to stay with the Manchester United squad. I guess it will be actually very good news for him if he can actually stay in the Bundesliga.

The problem with the Manchester United boss has made him not be featured in the Manchester United squad regularly for all time before he left. So I think there is no point in him going back to Manchester United.

Actually, his current club on which he is a loan player will try to acquire him. Because if he is performing well in this team it does not make sense for him to book for other team at this moment as well.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 12, 2024, 05:46:42 PM
Unexpected drop of points from PSG against Reims. I thought they were going to win and would not have any problems doing that.
We all could see that Mbappe is not happy and also definitely going to leave after the season ends.

Actually, I think the coach still wants to play him, but he has some pressure from the upper authority to not play Mbappe.
and that is because he is leaving as the season ends.

Whole 70 minutes he was sitting on the bench.
They brought on Mbappe for Ramos in the final third but it was too late as PSG conceded two goals.
If they actually played him from the start I believe they could have easily walked away with 3 points from this match.

PSG will play Nice in the next match of the French Cup. I expect PSG to win that match. But today the defense was really bad from PSG. and I hope they will be able to improve that
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: March 12, 2024, 10:36:37 AM
In the first leg game against Qarabag in 70 minutes game things were completely out of the control and mostly fans were expecting defeat for them because no one were expecting Qarabag will be able to perform like this and lead the match with the score of 2–0, but this happens then we have good substitutions from the Xabi Alonso and both subs done their job and bring back their undefeated record back into their pocket which is massive success for them and now most chances we will have Bayer Leverkusen into next round because at home they will be give their best and not allowed Qarabag to perform again like they have done into first leg game.

With the performance of first leg game we have Liverpool as the hot favourite, but now we have three Italian giants are also back with their best into this event and this is surely interesting because now we can go for any upset in coming round as well.
Bayer was the favorite before the first match, but Karabakh was able to surprise everyone again, it’s a pity that they were unable to maintain the winning score. In the return match they will have almost no chance against Bayer, it is always more difficult to play away, and especially since now Alonso will treat this opponent more responsibly. Bayer is currently one of the favorites of this tournament, so it is clear that Karabakh's chances of winning are minimal.

Leverkusen is definitely the favorite in this match. And the team is one of the favorites for the Europa League title. Leverkusen are still unbeaten in the Europa League and Bundesliga. However, the Qarabag Agdam team cannot be called weak. I see no chance of underestimating this team, especially after watching Qarabag's performance in the first leg.

The first leg match was a 2-2 draw. But I would say Leverkusen were very lucky that they didn't lose this match. Qarabag team was leading 2-1 until 90 minutes of the match. Leverkusen scored their first goal in the 70th minute, and Schick equalized in the 90+2 minutes. The second leg match also looks to be very competitive.

They also forget to use Bitcoin as a benchmark from where the value of their capital is based from? Why? Because if a "trader" can't outperform Bitcoin, then why be a "trader"? Simply be a HODLer and try add units in your capital in Bitcoin by buying the DIP and/or DCA.
They are in belief that being a trader is the way to riches but they don't realize that it's the hardest path and we've got some easiest strategy and that's effortless through DCA.

I want your advice for me.

I just want to say that it's never too late to get started with bitcoin and cryptocurrency. We are still in the early stages and opportunities still abound for us, what matters is how long you stay in the market, not how early or late you enter. Because even if you bought bitcoin 10 years ago, I bet you wouldn't have been able to hold it until now. And to be able to survive the longest in the market, you need to have knowledge about it, so I recommend that besides investing, you should spend time learning and researching the market carefully. That way you can survive and make a profit from it, but if you  invest only because of Fomo, then sooner or later you will lose money and leave the market.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 10, 2024, 08:02:50 PM
Milan 1-0 Empoli

Christain Pulisic has scored his 8 goal in Seria A today against the ongoing match against Empoli. Pulisic was able to find the back of the net on the 41st minutes, after he received a pass from Noah Okafor. It was a quality finish for the Croatian international.

The first half of the match has come to an end, and I believe that this match will be a sure three points for Milan. Milan are going slow and steady with their consistency, and I will not the surprised if they take over the second position from Juventus.

It's still draw as for now. Milan missed so many chances and pulisic probably the only guy who will have good rating at the end of game. The game is not entering the late game and the tension is also going up. The gameplay is kinda different once pioli decided to pull off pulisic and jovic out from the game.
Chukwueze and Giroud have entered the game, and it may end with a narrow score. Acmilan can only play defensively to get three points in this game. Pulisic is good, but he's injury-prone. That's the bad thing I disliked about him.

Empoli is still having a chance to equalize the score. Acmilan owned the possessions, but it looked so scary to attacks empoli.

Empoli had some chances to equalize the score. But the thing is they should not have conceded in the first place. Because that was a really big deflection which caused Milan to get ahead in this match. I've seen the match, Milan did not do anything incredible. Actually, the goalkeeper of Empoli was far more incredible, to be honest. He was able to stop almost everything, except for the one that was deflected by his teammate. Of Course, Milan had better possession. But they did not do too much with that, to be honest.

The goal, the only goal of the match was actually it isn't allowed because of offside at first but after a VAR check, it was given.

Milan is in the second position on the table now.

It could be offside, however VAR saved them  Smiley

Lahore Qalanders are a relatively weak team. Lahore players are not performing well this season. Out of 9 matches they have won only one match. And today's match is also likely to lose Lahore. Looking at the condition of the pitch, I don't think it is a bowling friendly pitch. The pitch is batting friendly. And Lahore Qalanders batsmen set a target of 167 runs on this pitch. It cannot be called a big target. If the batsmen of Quetta Gladiators can bat with responsibility then they can easily beat Lahore Qalanders team.
The game is not very much important for Lahore Qalandars but it's very important for Quetta to win this match. If Quetta win this game then they will make it for play off. LQ have given a target of 166 runs and highlight of LQ innings is half century from Shaheen Shah. QG are going good so far, after 8 overs they are 63 and lost just one wicket. Win probability is more towards QG as they need 104 runs in 72 balls.

I agree with you. The match is not an important match for Lahore. Because the team is currently at the bottom of the table. They have won only one match. And they have no chance of qualifying for the knockout rounds. But this match is very important for Quetta Gladiators. Because full points in this match is very important for them to stay fourth in the table.

I am very upset with the performance of the batsmen of Quetta Gladiators today. The team is batting very slowly. At the end of 14 overs, the batsmen of Quetta Gladiators managed to collect only 101 runs. They lost only two wickets. Saud Shakeel collected only 52 runs from 46 balls. Quetta Gladiators need to score 66 runs in the last 6 overs to win. Collecting 11 runs per over will not be an easy task for Quetta Gladiators batsmen.

At this point, I guess Macron might actually offer him half of the country.
I am pretty sure that they have undiscussed some things about him leaving or staying in PSG.

Otherwise, why would Mbappe be here where the Qatari Sheikh came to visit France and meet the president of France for the ceasefire in Gaza?
i can't find any valid reason other than that.
What has Kylian Mbappe to do with politics? What role can he play in the ceasefire? Mind you, they don't need nobody to tell them to ceasefire. Leaving Paris Saint Germany is a must if he must win the Champions League Competition and also the Ballon d'or. He's already had a good view what it's like to win the World Cup Competition and also lose it. It's time he face what's ahead and fight for whatever he wants. That alone shows how much of a strong soldier he has been all these while.

I feel like it's unprofessional to talk about club when you're still with contract to another club. But thenz he's body movement, behavior and comments of Luis Enrique has shown he'll definitely be leaving the club at the end of the season. We don't need people to remind us how it's gone be.

Kylian Mbappe should block all of the noise around and focus on his next two months with Paris Saint Germans. I do believe its already settled with Real Madrid already.
Most definitely, Emmanuel Macron would want to compel him to stay home but there comes a time when a man must leave his father and mother's house even home is for him.

I just hope that he is absolutely ready to leave PSG. because if he actually does decide to stay, not think Real Madrid is going to wait any longer. I think Real Madrid Is actually going to find another player. Real Madrid have waited long enough for him. If Mbappe is still going to choose money, he will show that no matter what happens he is always going to choose money over his career and  trophy cabinet

In this case, of course, PSG must immediately think long and hard so that they are not completely dependent on Mbappe alone. They must be able to accept Mbappe's departure even though it is difficult to accept. Mbappe is indeed the most important figure in PSG, but continuing to depend on him will only make his selfish nature emerge and will act as he pleases. Other players will definitely feel jealous because they are not treated the same as he is pampered by the PSG owner, resulting in the team's performance not being optimal.

Mbappe Is obviously a very important player for them. but the way they have treated him was really exceptional and I do not think he has actually done anything exceptional like that to actually deserve that treatment. they just spoilt him. and I do not see why other players are going to be jealous. Mbappe has always been treated differently. if anything he actually has the authority over one other player

-snip
Well the visit was essentially a political one to discuss the war and eventually a ceasefire but also to sign economical agreements where Qatar will push money to invest in many sectors in France like renewable energy... There was many guests for the ceremony including Kylian Mbappe, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, but also many businessman and figures.
I am pretty sure there was discussions about Mbappe future and I think that French and Qatari should know that the future of the club should be built without counting on a name or two.
Taking advantage of the political meetings of French and Qatari officials to include football is particularly annoying. Because it is carried out only for diplomatic purposes, it is best to separate it so that the focus is on political matters. How ridiculous would it be if in the middle of this discussion to include the fate of Mbappe and French football, as if Mbappe is now the main symbol of the fall and rise of French football?
I am confused when it is difficult to differentiate between politics and football.

We all know that now sports is just another way to make sure that people watch your agenda and agree with it as well to some extent. how many teams or clubs did you see having one minute of silence or getting down on one knee and not playing for the first 30 seconds because of the bombing of Palestinian people?  Nobody.  if anything they are banning Palestinian flags from stadiums.

anyway, my point is sports is never going to be separate from politics, especially in this day and age.

LAHORE QALANDARS vs QUETTA GLADIATORS
The first Inning already has been ended. LAHORE QALANDARS played a little bit of a good performance as expected for me. They took 166 for losing only four wickets. Abdullah Shafique and Shaheen Shah Afridi they both made amazing performances today Shaheen Shah Afridi took 55 runs from only 34 bowls and Abdullah Shafique made 59 runs from only 39 bowls.
Anyway QUETTA GLADIATORS already step on the field. Saud Shakeel and Jason Roy are the opening batsmen. QUETTA GLADIATORS took 12 runs at the end of another over. So the starting is going well for them. And I think today QUETTA GLADIATORS will win the match. Because both their batting lineup and bowling lineup are much better than LAHORE QALANDARS. Moreover, LAHORE QALANDARS is the worst performing team in this year's Pakistan Super League.

At the end of 3 overs, the players of Quetta gladiators managed to collect 23 runs. The team has not lost any wicket yet. Several experienced batsmen like Jason Roy, Shakeel and Rille ROssouw are in the squad of Quetta Gladiators. So Utta Gladiators will easily win this match if they don't lose quick wickets.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing into Bitcoin as self pension on: March 10, 2024, 10:33:02 AM
Is it wise and realistic for someone in his early twenties to set up Bitcoin as  a retirement plan such that he continues accumulating Bitcoin from this time till he gets to his retirement age?
It is very wise and realistic for someone who has just entered their twenties to start collecting Bitcoin in preparation for funds when entering retirement. Investing in Bitcoin in the long term offers the potential for huge profits, investors who bought Bitcoin (some time ago) when it was still trading at a cheap price have made multiple profits when the price started to rise as it is currently trading.

Before setting up Bitcoin in a retirement plan requires a careful and informed approach, although it has the potential to gain huge profits with its extraordinary growth, Bitcoin also presents a number of risks that must be understood and managed well. Including Bitcoin in your retirement plans is not free from all risks. Bitcoin volatility means that its price can move very quickly in a short time.

Another risk that needs to be known is vulnerability to hacking and losing access to the wallet where you store Bitcoin. Even though asset security has been improved, this risk still exists. So, it is very important to increase your knowledge and understanding about maintaining asset security before entering it into pension funds, make sure you understand how this technology works, all the risks that might occur and how to secure assets.
The plan isn't too shabby and bitcoin's potential is undeniable. In addition to some of the issues you mentioned that the OP needs to be concerned about, what I'm most concerned about is whether the OP can accumulate bitcoin and hold it for many years until retirement? And this is not just an issue for OP but for all bitcoin investors, can someone afford to hold bitcoin for 20, 30 years and not sell any bitcoin? I bet you that no one will be able to do that, saying it seems simple and easy but doing it is another matter.
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there members here who do monthly investment in bitcoin ? on: March 10, 2024, 10:26:52 AM
Are there members here who do monthly investment in bitcoin irrespective of current prices ? This approach can be really helpful for majority of people like salaried people who get fixed monthly income and can allocate some part of it to bitcoin investment.

You are talking about the DCA strategy and I believe you are not alone because the majority of people here are using that strategy and it is arguably the safest approach for any investor. Since bitcoin is unpredictable, using DCA is the wisest solution.

I also did that strategy continuously for the past 2 years but I stopped that strategy when bitcoin crossed $60k and I was changing my investment plan. I have accumulated enough bitcoins and now I will spend a small amount of capital to start accumulating potential altcoins in preparation for the upcoming bull season.
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Blackrock control BTC? on: March 10, 2024, 10:08:38 AM

They already can manipulate BTC price in any way.
This is not true.

It is not the appearance of Blackrock that causes the price of bitcoin to be manipulated, but rather that the price of bitcoin has been manipulated in the years since it was traded. If you believe that bitcoin is not manipulated, can you explain to us why bitcoin price can fluctuate so much? Because if the value of an asset depends entirely on supply and demand, how can it fluctuate from 5-10% every day, even every hour? So far, no one can manipulate or control the bitcoin network but as for bitcoin price, I believe it is always manipulated.

In Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20 match Sri Lanka team came to bat and scored 174 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Sri Lanka team batsman Kusal Mendis scored 86 runs off 55 balls. Kamindu Mendis was out for 12 runs off 12 balls. Kamindu Mendis batting today.  Did not perform well. W Hasaranga was out for 15 runs off 13 balls. Bangladesh team now came out to bat. 84 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 14.1 overs. Bangladesh team is under a lot of pressure with the loss of 7 wickets.
It was really a disappointing performance from Bangladesh. I will not gonna say anything bad about the bowling performance of Bangladesh but their batting line up fully destroyed by Sri Lankan bowlers N. Thushara and the W. Hasaranga they both did great performance at their bowling they took 7 wickets and most the wickets are really important today. I was thought that today Bangladesh will be the winner and they will win  this t20 series. But no one in top order batsmen did at least a performance. Most of them made duck.

Bangladesh needs to make some changes. I have to say Soumya, Litton, Shanto, Shak Mahedi, and Mustafizur need to be replaced.
Yes, I know it is a big statement to say that those very important players including the captain need to be replaced, but it is what it is.
Bangladesh is trying to bowl first and chase the target because they feel confident with so many batsmen in the team. But none of them are being able to contribute as they should.
I was actually surprised to see how Bangladesh had given away the hat trick to Sri Lanka. Bangladesh was literally unable to play balls that were only 122 kilometers per hour speed.

Another competitive T20 match between India and Bangladesh. The three match T20 series was at 1-1 and with this win, Sri Lanka has won the series in Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka batting first made an average score of 174 in 20 overs. The required run rate was less than 9 for Bangladesh but Bangladesh's starting and middle order were completely destroyed by the Sri Lankan bowlers. The Bengali batting was a bit held longer by the lower order but they were short of 28 runs when they were all out and also out of overs.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh seems to be on similar level at the moment and upcoming ODI series too are going to be interesting ones.

Anyway, I do not think Bangladesh is going to be able to do anything in the upcoming World Cup if they play like this. I also believe they are not going to be able to do anything if they think Shanto is actually a good captain for them. They definitely need to get rid of some people. And there is no reason to play for opener in the team if none of them are going to perform

I am pretty sure that they have discussed some things about him leaving or staying in PSG.

In my opinion there is nothing unusual in this. Mbappe is not just a football player, but a big media person, so you can see him (and we will see him) a lot at some events/meetings, etc. This is the world of celebrities, they hang out together and mutually increase their media capital.
As for his departure from PSG, everything has already gone so far (and stretches so far) that for each side, it seems to me, there is no turning back. Even the fans (at least certain radical factions of PSG fans) are already booing him as an stranger.

I think it is a little bit unusual because, in my opinion, he had no business being there, right?
don't you think it is a little odd that when he decided to leave the PSG club, he is suddenly invited in a meeting where Macron and Qatari Sheikh Al Thani, who is actually the owner of PSG, are meeting?  to me, it looks a little suspicious.

-snip
Is Mbappe actually ever leaving PSG?

They can convince Mbappe to stay at Paris Saint Germain, but I don't know how good they can get from a player who has made up his mind to leave the team. Mbappe seems to have left Paris Saint Germain mentally. Paris Saint Germain should now try to sign another player to replace him. They can go for young players like Real Madrid did. Endrick, Arda and other transfers could be good examples for Paris Saint Germain. Osimhen is far from his performance last season but he can be a good alternative for them. So, I think it's a bit senseless for them to insist on Mbappe.

I seriously believe that they should look to bring in Osimhen. And it is also high time that they actually let Mbappe go.
you know, a player who actually does not want to stay is not going to perform at his 100% if he is forced to stay.
So there is no reason to make him feel special and shove money in his neck to make him stay.  I think PSG  and France are going to look stupid by doing so

As soon as Russia went to war against Ukraine, everyone was ready to defend  Ukraine. and there is a literal genocide going on. for some reason, the West does not even bat an eye.

I am also pretty sure that the PSG owner wants him to stay and that is a big reason why he was invited.

As of now, many countries let their citizen invest in Bitcoin but with caution because there are still some scammers who are convincing them to invest in their Ponzi Schemes and other scam projects. if only not for these people, we would be free and not get much attention from the government but because they always create some kind of problems that always involve money and huge numbers of victims, they put tight and complicated requirements just to create an account in our local exchanges which was not the case before back then.
But if we are not greedy and have no idea of getting rich quickly, how can scammers deceive us? And is that really the main reason why governments don't like bitcoin and even many countries ban it just to protect their citizens? Are they protecting their citizens or for their own benefit?

You invest in cryptocurrency, do you pay taxes and comply with the law? I think that's why many governments don't like bitcoin. But I think we're off topic because the OP's question was about bitcoin not being used as a means of payment, a currency  Grin Grin.

Hi guys,

I've been long fascinated with bitcoin ATM machines and love to spot them wherever I go traveling but haven't seen one for a long time in New York – are there any of them left in the city at all?

I keep hearing anecdotal stories of people using them but wonder if they are still considered a good way to buy bitcoin, given the steep fees these machines often charge.

Have you ever used a bitcoin ATM in NYC?

I am very interested in using Bitcoin ATM but Bitcoin is not considered legal currency in my country yet. So it is still illegal in my country by the government. Due to this there is no chance of it being launched in my country till now.  But I think from where there are Bitcoin ATMs people definitely use it and use it very happily. People's interest in Bitcoin will increase even more when Bitcoin ATMs are launched worldwide.  And everyone will start thinking of Bitcoin as fiat money.  It will happen in the future but requires a long patience.

From the above comments, you can also see that not too many people are willing to use bitcoin ATMs for a number of reasons such as high transaction fees, potential privacy exposure, and fear of bitcoin robbery threats. ..So I think that even if we install more bitcoin ATMs, it will be very difficult to reach many people.

Furthermore, just because people use Bitcoin ATMs, that doesn't mean it has a chance of becoming currency. That's not the way to turn Bitcoin into currency, and it's not that simple. Personally, I think bitcoin has no chance of becoming a currency even if we had more time.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What options do we have to currently buy BTC in the UK? on: March 09, 2024, 09:08:45 AM
Most UK banks are now blocking payments >£1000 to the main exchanges like Kraken, Coinbase, Binance.

What safe options do we have to buy BTC?
I don't live in the UK so I don't know how bad the situation could actually be but there must be some crypto-friendly banks, no? Especially because for them it would be a great opportunity to get new customers. At the end buying cryptocurrencies is perfectly legal, if the bank doesn't want to deal with that type of transfer is because of their own (stupid) policies, there must be some smart bank taking advantage of this situation.

After all, banks are just the government's backyard. If the government doesn't like bitcoin, no bank will dare to go against the government's will. Just like the country I live in, no banks accept bitcoin and if they find out we are using a bank account to make bitcoin-related purchases, they will freeze the account ours. But that won't stop us from getting into bitcoin, and there will always be a way for us to buy bitcoin with a bank account.
I can't offer any ideas as I don't understand the actual problems the OP is facing nor the specific regulations of banks in the UK. But I believe there will always be a way for us to circumvent the law to buy bitcoin even though it will be a bit more complicated.
