781  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitmain Hacked - Change all your gambling site passwords on: August 25, 2017, 10:40:00 AM
Oh that is a big blow but I don't have any account there and also I have activated 2fa in almost all of my important accounts already so hope I will be in safe side  Grin

Quote
Data breach includes user data, including encrypted passwords, email addresses and phone numbers.
If they have strongly encrypted users password when storing in their server than I think hacker might not gain access to user passwords. Am I wrong?

The email and phone number is a big problem. If you use an exchange such as Coinbase or Gemini or CEX, if someone knows your phone number they can get your 2FA if you are using Authy.

With your email AND phone number they can easily reset any password and even reset your Authy.

This is a huge problem
By reset you mean getting all the 2fa codes? that'll happen only when one enables multi-device feature, one can always disable that feature and stay safe from sms/call based authy recovery.

Yes. Go to Authy website and read the FAQs. Its basically for people who have no recovery codes and a way for them to get their account back.

They can easily get it back with EMAIL + PHONE NUMBER. Even if they had no multi device checked off.

Though it defeats the purpose right? What if your email was hacked then they can recover the 2FA for authy then they can hack everything connected to it.
I think the best way is to create a paper backup of the qr code of your 2FAs so that you can securely store them and no one else have access to it but you and
whatever authenticator you use.

The best security still is not just having 2fa but having a secure password. Everybody stop using the same passwords for everything, that is how the hackers are
able to hack accounts. Check out Masterpassword (it's really a generic name, I know, but that is what they chose). It's pretty awesome in my opinion.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Casinos on: August 25, 2017, 10:35:44 AM
This bitcoin cash is making a really big difference so fast it is now even listed on few gambling sites i thought for something like this to happen it would take time but this went on too quickly and now the price has also started to increase don't know what else we can expect in the upcoming days

Do you have a list of the gambling sites you saw that accept Bitcoin Cash?
I have safedice accepting bitcoin cash for gambling , the bankroll is 200 bitcoin cash and the site is already in 4 bitcoin cash profit.
Even lucky games accepts bitcoin cash for gambling, for now the number of sites present is less but as the altcoin is getting more demand and the price is increasing we will see more sites  accepting it soon

Hmm that is pretty interesting. I will look into that. That means they already profited 2% since when they started accepting Bitcoin cash.
That also probably means that there is a market for using bitcoin cash and actually casinos are profiting from it. I never thought
bitcoin cash could go anywhere but the exchanges.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the most Promisng Gambling ICO that you know? on: August 25, 2017, 10:27:12 AM
Not sure why these casinos are creating ICOs, as if the investing on the house was not enough already. I guess they want to keep hold of the money for themselves and give the investors the power to withdraw their investment from their casinos. This way these casinos do really own the investment and they only have an obligation to pay dividends.
784  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet on WWE on: August 25, 2017, 10:22:18 AM
R u serious really Huh We all know wwe is just a fully stunts performed actors entertainment thing we cant bet on such fake things totally not .

LOL. That is what everybody is talking about here and there are a few people that still believe that WWE matches can be turned into a sports book match up.
The answer is really no. There are so much people that knows the outcome of the matches because all the matches are already fixed because everything is scripted.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: August 25, 2017, 10:10:39 AM
I've made the worst miss click mistakes when gambling or playing poker from my laptop without a mouse.  Apparently I'm no good with just the touchpad and I need a mouse, lol Cheesy

Thats not a mistake, thats the reward for you of being a fool. You should be able to do it with one of your eyes closed , no excuse on it. Even if it only rely on luck, concentration is needed so that you wont misclick or even wager the wrong amount. It happened to alot of people already though

That depends on the mistake though. You can call those happy mistakes if you suddenly did an all in and won. That would be the best story of your life if it happened. Though if you missed click and did an all in then lost, then that is why you are posting here. It really differs on the outcome of the bet and not really on opinions.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Primedice or Fortune Jack? on: August 25, 2017, 10:06:32 AM
Primedice i like playing dice games more than other gambling games and prime dice has more reputation that fortunejack and it is a older site than fortunejack, i haven't seen much issues with primedice when compared with fortunejack and fortunejack also has kyc which i don't like

Are you sure that fortunejack will ask for KYC?

Based on my knowledge they never ask you any KYC but if you win big amount then they will hold your withdrawals until they verify all the bets to make sure nothing went wrong. If all okay then they will release your funds but I never heard that they will ask you any documents.
That is true, never did I ever input my real name or ask for any details aside from my username and my withdrawal address.
Never did they ask for my ID or anything like that. Fortune jack truly follows the principle of bitcoin as being anonymous!
So you don't have to worry that they would be selling your identity because they have none of that in their servers.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Help with poker on: August 25, 2017, 09:56:48 AM
Someone can recommend me some poker sites that give freeroll for Tournaments I just start with poker and it looks like I'm good and I want to play in Tournaments but at the moment I do not want to spend my money until I learn enough thanks

I think most online poker gambling sites have freerolls for tournaments. I even think that these are already standard on every poker site.
Though I would not really get excited with these things, as most bonuses have a catch. That catch is totally hard to get over. Sometimes it
is actually even impossible to meet the terms before you are able to withdraw the money.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: trusted beting site?? on: August 24, 2017, 05:58:56 PM
hey I am new here..I like to bet like as cricket predict, football predict..so need some trusted site where I am never loss my money.

There are so many, you just need to do a google search. If you want to use a pure bitcoin gambling site, try nitrogensports, cloudbet, or fairlay. You can also try the big sports books, I think are one of the biggest in the industry, like bet365, 5dimes, and maybe williamhill. Those big sites I believe accepts bitcoins now. Good luck friend.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fun seeking gamblers vs profit seeking gamblers on: August 24, 2017, 05:52:36 PM
It seems to me that gambling is too risky. That's why I do not find it fun or profitable. Maybe it can be fun but only at first and only  for people who enjoy the risk. Also I dont believe in the profitability of gambling.

As for me it only becomes fun when I'm winning and beating the house . That's the only time gambling becomes profitable and fun at the same time else I'm all for the profits and no joking around with perceived fun.

Gambling for fun is my past dna, because gambling is better now as an attractive profit procedure, happy to be identical to just playing games, but the seriousness of the attitude will result in a good level of comfort at regular intervals, not necessarily driven by defeat, what we need is the percentage of victory and defeat in one period.
If you can earn money in gambling then good for you, what can be better than to earn money doing something you like and that is also a game, that is why you see all of those people earning millions while practicing sports that are very happy since they earn money doing something they enjoy greatly.

Well i think the biggest difference here is the pressure you'll have if you exclusively gambling for profit. Who would have fun if they're expecting too much and then don't get what they expected. Gambling for fun is a much more relaxed type of gambling compared to puahing for profit which may also make you lose more since emotions will be high
Maybe you are right but I think if a person is gambling for profit, he would be serious and want to win. Same is the case with gambling for fun. He would also be serious in the matter of winning.

However, it is the effect of outcome which is different for both types. A fun seeker would not cry as much as a profit seeker if he loses. Pressure is always involved whether you do it for fun or profit. The impact is just different.
The impact of an outcome would really be different and i agree on what you are saying here. Fun and Profit seekers do have the same target on which they should really win the game but speaking with the results it would really be different already but there are instances on which a certain person do tend to seek fun purely but later on in the middle of the game he already changed into a person on where he would really aim strongly on making money.I can able to say such thing because i did experience that one.
Exactly, even if somebody denies it but the truth is we all will become greedy if we have a chance like this. So, fun seeker and profit seeker are just two different sides of the same coin. Both want to win and I d don't think there can be a kind who is okay with losing. Nobody is. Everyone wants to make money whenever he or she has a chance, it's in human nature.

Just being realistic and honest, it is human nature to be greedy. That is why casinos has flourish this entire time. No gambler can ever say that they have abstained from being greedy ever since they started. We all have let our greed get the best of us and that really is a problem since we lose money in the long run. The best we could do is just to prevent greed from taking over.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Primedice or Fortune Jack? on: August 24, 2017, 05:21:44 PM
I would like to try Gambling with small amount of BTC, just to have a hunch of how it goes.

Between the two, which one do you prefer and why? :-)

Fortune jack all the way bro! I've been gambling here since I started using bitcoins (back in 2013). Never had a problem with them. Even if you research about them you won't find anything negative. Also, they have lots of games beyond dice! So if you like playing a lot of more than dice, try this site out.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos on: August 24, 2017, 04:23:00 PM
Hey everyone. How many of you play at a bitcoin casino? Do you play at mBitcasino? DO YOU GUYS FEEL CHEATED EVER SINCE BITCOIN PRICES SKYROCKETED?! If yes I would like to hear your story. Because I feel as if I have been CHEATED thousands of dollars. Roughly at least 10k.... and with such came a huge amount of never ending consecutive losing spins that are so consistent as it feels as if RNG is not applied, more like scripted is what I would recall it.

No I don't. It is not the casino's fault that prices went up. Also, when you started gambling you did not gamble using fiat, but you gambling using bitcoins. But regardless, if you lost you lost fair and square. Heck, I also lost 2 BTC back in 2014, that was worth $8,000 today, but I can't tell the casino give me back part of my money.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Casinos on: August 24, 2017, 04:19:20 PM
I think it just counts as an altcoin though. Those casinos deal In strait bitcoin. The casinos who support altcoins will more then likely support bitcoincash and some already are I saw a few promoting it in the forum.

Indeed it is just an altcoin. However, this is something different, I think. Since it is a fork of the bitcoin network, there are an equal number of bitcoins with bitcoin cash. Also bitcoin cash are so identical to bitcoins, which could lead to problems in accepting them. I think this should be avoided my gambling sites.
793  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitmain Hacked - Change all your gambling site passwords on: August 23, 2017, 05:09:02 PM
Apparently Bitmain got hacked a day or so ago and I am getting email alerts from different services and gambling sites that there was attempted unauthorized accesses.

Just like the Bitcointalk hack a few years back, these hackers are trying to gain access to any and all Bitcoin related services like exchanges, wallets and most likely also gambling sites.

So if you used the same password and had no 2FA enabled you are at risk...

Holy damn, I just read it here! This should have been all over the news on every bitcoin news outlet like coinbase, cointelegraph, etc. But why was it not there though?
Anyway, just for precaution, I am changing my passwords too on all my accounts. Better safe than sorry.
794  Economy / Gambling / Re: HELP.. SPORT BETTING SITE on: August 23, 2017, 04:52:20 PM
I am using Nitrogensports.eu for my sports betting now, the sports odds offered by them are acceptable for me, and my withdrawals on the site are always processed without any issue. Sportsbet.io is another site that I used occasionally, but I have seen some high bettors having issues with them on big withdrawals, so it might not be advisable to use sportsbet.io if you are planning to wager huge amount of bitcoins.
In the past I have been into directbet.eu, and once they stopped their service moved towards nitrogensports.eu and this is quiet good for sports betting with better odds and therefore is no flaws in the settlement of the winning amounts. Not sure of sportsbet.io which I need to give a try.
Make sure to check their feedback before trying them out as those are left for a reason. They have involved in various scam activities from faking promos to making their shills win the competitions. After the end of directbet ,I kinda gave up on bitcoin sports betting.

I agree, try researching first about the gambling site or sportsbook you are going to gamble on before you bet there. That would be the best thing to do first and not really go all in on that site. Or just use the most trusted ones like nitrogensports. I believe big sports books like 5dimes and bet365 accepts bitcoins already.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WinXrp.com on: August 23, 2017, 04:48:10 PM
You still have bustabit logo on top head.

Also what is maximum amount we can win
Quote
Max profit: 84.6315 XRP
Does this mean 84,6315 xrp or just 84.6315 XRP  Roll Eyes

LOL. They just cloned it and they didn't even clean it up. This is like how gradeschoolers copy homework, they even copy the name on their classmate's paper.

I am guessing that value is 84.6315. If it was 84,6315 then they should have written 845.315. Damn, I really hate people who use periods to separate the thousands. :/
796  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin among conglomerates on: August 23, 2017, 04:35:50 PM
Do the rich now begin to invest some of their money in bitcoin?

Not really. I don't think I've ready any rich guy or company invest into bitcoins. Usually these rich people and companies invest into the technology
for the advancement of their own businesses. They don't buy bitcoins for purposes of speculating it will go up. They just enrich their money making
businesses so that it will produce more money.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if all coins disappear?? on: August 23, 2017, 04:12:17 PM
If you actually knew how bitcoins and other cryptocurrency works you world not asking like that,, Coins don't disappear all of a sudden,,
And will never happen unless "your" coins get hacked and loose it all

It's a hypothetical question and should not be taken literally. Of course these things won't just suddenly disappear, Op is asking a question just
for the purposes of discussion. What if there was no cryptocurrency? Not something like what you answered here. Basically, you are applying
what would happen if it happens kind of thing.
798  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Items on: August 23, 2017, 03:55:57 PM
Pretty long story, I thought it was relevant to what you are selling, but alas it wasn't at all relevant. It was just you saying you want btc for your goods.
Anyway, I wish I could bid on that macbook but you are likely far away from my place (like half a world apart probably). Good luck selling though.
799  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Beware of "Antminer reseller" on Facebook. on: August 23, 2017, 03:47:12 PM
Outrageous prices, more than double Alibaba's insane prices. D3  for $3200 is just an example. Bought 3 from an Alibaba seller for $1800. I wish Bitmain would track down these price gouging scumbags and prevent them from buying.

The prices are high because they are targeting people that don't know anything about crypto. Also, they might be taking advantage of
the time when the main suppliers don't even have stocks anymore to sell to the public. This is similar to concert ticket scalping, I guess.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I sell? on: August 23, 2017, 03:43:36 PM
Hi, all. I have 20 Litecoin and some Ethereum … around 5.7 Ethereum. Bitcoin price seems to be rising, and fast. My question is should I sell my Ethereum and Litecoin now and buy Bitcoin? I checked the price of Bitcoin today. It went down quite a bit. Do you think there is going to be a healthy correction before the price rises again? I feel like I should wait for a couple more days and view the trend. The problem with that is Litecoin seems to be gradually falling. The same is happening with Ethereum. What do you all think?

Number one rule in cryptocurrencies, never sell. Hodl!!!

Well that is what everybody says, I think there is some truth to it though. Most cryptocurrencies have bumped up their prices since their inception. I guess it will just depend on where would you invest your money and see if that one goes up so much. Buying them cheap at start and reaping the benefits after a few years.
