Transfercoin is technically spot on, marketing and exchanges exposure through their chats
is next step. It needs more investors.

It needs AGGRESSIVE marketing to attract more investors.

Can't someone just start up a new silk road accepting only TX?

that would see HIghs !

many out there at the moment ...

an if the nsa have their way - they would all be in jail also ...

dont get involved with illegal crap like that - and you have no issues ...

btw - thats an awesome profile pic mate Smiley ...

Update** At allentownbitcoins.com/mybb we have a total of 2k lisk ICO tokens for sale

if you edit your post and put 'http://' in front of the address you posted - bct will pick it up as a hyperlink automagically Wink ...

that will make it easier for those who want to go there - to just click the link ...

783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: April 27, 2016, 01:37:04 AM
So as you could tell, I am new to mining.
I have a question

When I goto a pool it sometimes gives me a choice of difficulty. I didn't/don't know really what that means
I have a single GTX 970

from what I gathered on the web if I am hashing at say 5,000 MH/s I should put d=8 in my password field? Is that correct ?

Code:
Worker's speed       Difficulty
<500 Mhash/s         1
500-1000 Mhash/s     2
1000-2000 Mhash/s    4
2000-4000 Mhash/s    8
4000-10000 Mhash/s   16
10000-40000 Mhash/s  32
>40000 Mhash/s       64

How do I enter that in my password field when I have a password ? Like -u Name.worker -p password,d=8 ? (Like that?)
Like right now I am using dmd-gr and it says I am hashing at 13,600 kH/s
How does this correlate with the -f line ? Is there a guide that really goes into detail about what all the settings mean and do ?

Thanks from a newb miner

Don't worry about it unless you are having problems like rejects. Most of the time the pool will adjust the diff
so you get a reasonable share submission rate. It is only occasionally that setting the diff manually, as you
described, is necessary.

Diff has nothing to do with hashrate, I don't know where you got that info.

exactly ...

some pools refuse to have any part in accepting shares - if the diff is under ( like yiimp under diff 1 with decred for example ) ... im sure epsylon3 can chime in if he wants to to explain furtehr also ...

the other thing is the diff matters with pools like when we were mining vertcoin ( lyra2v2 ) - and the massive difference you get when pushing the wrong diff on the miners side ... what a headache that was / still is ...

like joblo mentioned - it really is about rejected shares from a miners point of view ... not much else ...

damn i miss this - i cant wait to get thefarm back up and running ... building it bigger and better Wink ...

btw joblo - i sent a pm to you earlier ... you can ignore it mate ...

tanx ...

Thanks to this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jd6mtDq71gQ

Nevacoin got a user bump in Brazil.

Keep up the good work Brazil! Smiley

this will not show the 'actual' locations of the people using - just where the wallets are located ...

im in australia - but all my wallets reside in vps systems ( staking ) in europe ...

great indicator for that i guess ... it does look nice when its spread like that though ...

yes. agreed.  am aware of it.

I noticed that block explorer on qt works well.  Thos blocks on pow has lower diff.  POS block has higher diff.

Some pow block are not from Super nova.

then everything else you asked is pretty simple.
e.g.
1) you apply more hashes - short-distance KGW/DGW/ShitGW commenced - diff up - nethashrate value up ~ proportionally

2) miners get terribly unlucky and next block took too much time - actual spacing work up - nethashrate down
(actually miners maybe even applied more but nethashrate shows lower value)

hahaha ...

'ShitGW' ... damn that made my night Wink ...

it still is quite intermittent with connections. no idea why..
when i start and get no connections, i just keep restarting. i dont know if it helps, but at least it feels like i'm doing something. lol
then eventually i leave it running ... i have 3 connections atm

edit.
lol so many.. i'm going to put them all together and see

hi bumba ... long time Wink ...

i mentioned earlier that i would help - but there really isnt a reason to at the moment ...

so i collected a whole heap of nodes also - and i now have 9 connections ... i can post the addnodes if you all like? ...

its a pain - but that is the way it goes with this unfortunately ... unless you have some solid seeds hardcoded and running well ( part of the help i was suggesting and orginally offering ) - then you will need to get as many solid wallet ips ( no - they are NOT nodes which is the reason most will pop off and on ) ...

nice to see you around btw ...

i am gonna double the pool hash and see what happens.. will also check console values as suggested.  thx.

I doubled my super nova hash. from approxmately 200mhs to 400+.

I checked wallet getmininginfo and you guys are correct.  Number of net hash displayed is same as super novas.

However figures are more tamer now.

instead of net hash reporting 4x pool hash as before, its 1.5x to 2.5x now.

I am finding block same ratio as pools hash ratio.. about 1/3 to less than half.

Seem pools rate of finding new block slightly increased than what I noticed before based on 15min interval.

It is as if "cheat button" is turned off and numbers makes more sense now. "Coin"cidence?  I dont know.

Its generally known solo mining is more profitable than pools.  I know that from experience.

ok guys, i assume miners can only mine, they don't have time to stop and search a couple of lines.

how a pool or a wallet knows total net hashrate ? - it doesn't.

for loco it's here
https://github.com/LGLoco/Loco/blob/master/src/rpcblockchain.cpp#L47

when you compare pool's hashrate and "total net hashrate" you actually compare cheeks and chickens.

pool's hashrate = real life total of all accepted hashes on stratum server.

total net hashrate = calculated value from target coin parms and real life block time and diff,
it has nothing to do with what miners actually apply,
and can be not even near to real life hashes especially for Hybrid coins.

yes. agreed.  am aware of it.

I noticed that block explorer on qt works well.  Thos blocks on pow has lower diff.  POS block has higher diff.

Some pow block are not from Super nova.

i solo mined for a while also - then used suprnova - then aikapool - and now im mining something else ...

i dont have thefarm running ( yes - its a medium sized one ) so i only mine with the machine i have been loaned ( i built a 5 x gigabyte 980ti g1 / extreme system for my friend who is going overseas for a while ) and that is all im mining with currently ... but you will always find that blocks are hit in every corner of the globe by every place that mines them ...

apart from that - quark has NEVER shown exact hashrates - at least not that i know of ... unike x11 for example which is reasonably accurate ...

im not contesting your expertise in mining or whose got the bigger di... errr - farm ... mine is not mining NOW - but up until a few weeks ago - was flat out as one of the larger farms you guys used to rent on nicehash and mrr ... i have seem way more than my fair shre also - and KNOW the guys you are talking about ... ocminer doesnt cheat ... akai doesnt cheat ... i dont know them personally - but i have been around here long enough to see what they do - and have done ... even when they are in the right - they sometimes concede and payout just to keep the peace ...

i have the granite pool - and changed ALL of the system and the way it pays out and tipped it on it head ...

you mine - you hit a block - you get a bonus for hitting the block AND whoever is mining on the pool at the time also gets a small bonus for a block being hit - and NO FEES ...

so does that make me a person that wants to hit people in the wallet because i dont charge fees on the pool AND give the block cracker a bonus as well AND give a bonus to the pool miners also? ... nup - not in a million years ...

so when searching for an answer - pull back the accusations and yourself a little - and look at all avenues ... there HAS to be an answer ...

with all the crap that has been going on in crypto in general - and all the ripoff merchants runnign around the place - the consensus is shoot first and ask question later? ...

o and btw - dont think im a newbie here either ... this profile i am forced to use because the lazy mods of bct cant be stuffed looking at my issue and have not even contacted me for over a month now - regarding my 'hero going on to legendary' profile that i have ... now you want to get upset - get upset with those that actually do NOTHING about a system that is one of the core forums for crypto ...

thats my rant - and my bitch about it all ...

i can get on with the development now ...

nice hash delivers hash.  no problem.  Its super nova thats stealing blocks found.  Never gonna use them again.

At least you can switch to Aika-pool

https://aikapool.com/loc/index.php

In the early blocks I pointed the miners there

you will find that it should happen there also ...

its the algo itself that is at fault - not the pool or the miners ...

quark ( as much as i like it ) has an inherent hash display issue ... happens everywhere ... ive been mining long enough to notice the fluctuations in nethash AND pool hash - as opposed to miner hash ...

i dunno what it is that does it - but it does it ... everytime ( especially really large hash is used ) - the resultant figures that are shown are WAY off ...

sometimes they are low - sometimes they are high - but almost always off ...

ive just stopped mining at aikapool ( and suprnova before that ) - as i am not mining with thefarm ( since the relocation ) and only mining with my friends loaned machien while he is away - and im mining elswhere with another algo at the moment ... but its so similar with any of the pools that ive used ...

try it out ... aika has never cheated anyone - nor has ocminer ( supernova ) that i have known of in my years as a miner - and see if the pool does the same ...

post the figures here ... im sure we are all interested ...

The X11 stratum has been dead for at least a week it seems. Can't send a support ticket - the zendesk is not functioning. I posted it on IRC but I virtually sure no one is watching there. It seems the system is abandoned. I guess that explains why there is so little hash on the site.

Is it still being maintained or not?

i watch mate ...

but that is all i do ...

lolwut ( or is it bruce ) has abandoned this pool so many times now - that i stopped mining here a LONG time ago ...

its one of the resons i had our own granite pool setup ...

i just cant believe you are still going with them mate ...

the last time i suggested a few things - bruce said he would look at them - but never saw any changes or ever heard back from him ...

its a great setup of a pool - but again - the question to take over the pool and get it back to its former glory was ignored ... and now - its the worst pool you can mine on ... not because of its functionality - thats great ... but because of the lack of care that the owners ( who are not willing to give it away - let alone sell it ) are showing with maintenance on the site ( as well as development ) is ridiculous ...

a lot like the bitcointalk mods here - dont give a damn about people like me who lost access to their profiles - and not ONE message returned from the mods to show they have any decency of customer relations whatsoever ...

go elsewhere mate - and mine your coins on yiimp or zpool or another that actually has 'live' devs ...

im actually quite disappointed - as this was the ONLY pool i was mining on when i first started - and when i first took over granite ... now i have ozziecoin too - which is under redevlopment as well as granite - and you think id mine either one in a pool that shows no support or care in the world about their creation? ...

like i said allknowingeye - i offered to buy them out a long time ago ( when i had the cashflow - and the pool was actually worth something ) but was not even turned down - i was just ignored ... now - i would still take it - but would have to be for the code alone - and not for the 'good will' that it used to have ... which means its worth almost nothing at the moment ... so give it away to me - and ill rebuild it once again ... continue to ignore me ( which im sure they will ) and let the pool crumble into the pit of junk that a lot of other pools falls into ... i had a LOT of respect for bruce and ron - but that is nothing more than a distant memory now ... that was the time they actually CARED about their miners ...

good luck with the support mate - and i hope bruce and ron are actually reading these posts - as they have lost a LOT of faithful miners with their lack of ownership and care ...

I made a game that uses Nevacoins, i call it Nevabutton.
It's a simple web page where you can play with your browser.

Nevabutton is a game, where you can win Nevacoin cryptocurrency.
Game has a Nevacoin Wallet (i maintain it) and its balance is on stake every round.
When round starts, counter starts to run toward that balance.

Whoever press the Nevabutton logo firsts, wins that counters value of Nevacoins.

I havent decided yet how long rounds should be and how much Nevacoins it should have in balance. Any suggestions?
Should it be proportional with wallet balance?

And for wallet's Nevacoin balance, idea is that i transfer Nevacoins for that wallet every now and then so it can be played frequently.
Maybe even mine with my GPU for it directly.

What do you think, should i get some domain for it?
Is that something you are interested in to play with?

hehehe ...

sounds like something i would be interested in for most coins Wink ...

at least its getting things done on an external basis ... ie - outside of the coins code ...

this can only be a good thing ...

id help with this as a generic game - not just coin specific ...

tanx mate ...

i just anted to test - and see what the best intensity settigns are for each of the algos ...

scrypt is always the difficult one - as there are no 'standard' settings for ccminer on scrypt ... and i have no idea how to set the optimum paramters for scrypt also - as it has certain paramters that are not doculented ( like lauch settings for example ) ...

either way - x17 seems to work - as does lyra2v2 and scrypt ... but i have had no success with ANY accepted shares as yet with any of the algos ... but then - im not mining for a long time on each anyway Wink ...

blake is blake2s - which is different to the standard blake implementation - and groestl is myr-groestl - again a different to the standard implementation of groestl ...

hence the reason why i needed specifics on the port and algos ...

i must say though - even with the limited testing and time i have - its runnign really well ...

#crysx

even if you mine a block with x17, the network will refuse it, so don't bother; same for blake2s.
myr-groestl is much more used than double-groestl, and is in most multi-algo coins like myriad, saffron and joincoin.
the port is the same for all the algos, just set the one you like in the conf file.

tanx ...

did you commit any changes ( or updates ) to the spmod ccminer for groestl and lyra2v2 pallas? ...

#crysx

No, I did not touch those two on nvidia. But I have a much faster myr-groestl for AMD.

i know - i tested it when farmamd was still running ...

nice work mate ...
