781  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #5 on: August 28, 2013, 05:47:40 PM
That's correct. But it means going for 100 blades. Instead of the 20
I reckon you should setup two groups. One for 20 blades and the other one for 100 blades

As the 20 blade group will be filled quicker than 100 blades group.
It would be great if we could reach 100 today and place an order.
A bit of wishful thinking

I reckon 1 group for 100 will easily be met - I want 2 minimum...

Yeah, £44 FFS.  Roll Eyes  Hope they work better than the £22 TekNet heap of junk.

Glad to see the miners are dispatched, can't wait.  Grin

Aye; They are no' cheap. Look the part though; and seem to be all the rage just now!

Good choice. I'm running 3 banks of 10 with 1% hw errors. Expensive but they can run all 10 slots no problem. Price was only 38 a couple of weeks ago though. Cheeky amazon!
789  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: vdragon Erupter-Groupbuy-Scam : Task Force on: August 17, 2013, 10:09:38 PM
I was understanding everything in this until the last 3 posts by Blazr, BTCat and now the incomprehensible 001sonkit .

Or is it just me... what's going on?

Hi, for those that doesn't know you can block ebay users here:
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin
This is my list:
james_musacchio, truetina8401, typingmoon
They "change their mind" after they won the auction, by the time those cases were close the price of the usb miner was reduced and I ended up loosing money. I only going to use "buy it now" from now on (to require them to pay instantly)

I had a non paying bidder too zulse. Thanks for the tip - all of these are going on my block list.

[EDIT] full list so far - would be good if we could keep a full list comma separated in the OP

adampatrick3, egoy1, gsk_wood, james_musacchio, truetina8401, typingmoon, zulse

Couldn't you just do a chargeback if he didn't send? Anyone used this site?
796  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: If you sell on eBay or other outlets, please read this: on: August 15, 2013, 12:34:49 PM
Was the paypal address confirmed in the seller protection part?

What was the eBay user ID. We should start a thread with eBay scammers.

Updated in your new thread - good idea
797  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: eBay Bitcoin USB Block Erupter Scammer Alert Thread! on: August 15, 2013, 12:34:12 PM
Some dick on ebay ordered 11 units from me - when I shipped them, the address he used didn't exist so they went to a holding depot. Then he asked for a full refund which I did. Then he tried to arrange a re-delivery to a different address. Luckily I was able to prove I was the sender because I kept the receipt from the tracked package.

Now I'm waiting for the units to be returned which could take up to a month.

Be careful selling on ebay.

His id was adampatrick3

My fault for not checking his feedback was zero and he was a new user - but I had over 10 sales that day and took my eye off the ball.

Removed my post because the calculator settings were using a fixed value for BTC/USD, so for once my criticism did not apply.
However the blade certainly costs more than 900 USD.

Ah good point - I was thinking pounds not dollars...
