Чтобы недобросовестные пользователи не парализовали работу майнеров и полных нод (к примеру, введя их в бесконечный цикл), автор транзакции должен сразу задать максимально допустимое число шагов в вычислении. К контрактам прикрепляется некоторое количество ETH, и, если этот лимит превышен (кончился газ), вычисление прерывается, произведенные изменения откатываются, но комиссии остаются уплаченными.

Добрый день! Более-менее разобрался с Эфириумом и его смарт-контрактами. Остался лишь один невыясненный и незагугленный вопрос.
Допустим, я создал свои токены, т.е. свою крипту на базе Эфириума. Назовем их TOKEN. Для перевода своих токенов мне нужно использовать газ - а именно платить Эфиром - ETH. Вопрос - если кто-то завел адрес Эфириума только для TOKEN, ему, получается, все равно нужно иметь некоторое количество ETH, чтобы можно было отправлять команды контракту TOKEN? Или, все-таки, есть какая-то возможность, чтобы тратился газ самого контракта?

Hidecoin has very simple RPC and cannot be added to exchange now. Ethereum tokens can be added to any exchange. No more clear info, very doubtful to invest here.
