781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge (XVG) Bulls Beated Major Crypto’s on: October 11, 2019, 12:36:50 PM
I made my money in XVG speculation so the only XVG I have now is the ones left over just to hold as bags. As expected they dropped really low in value so I will just hold them who knows they go to ATH.

I do not speculate anymore, I ended up breaking even or even lost a little, and Verge was one of the success stories but I had more failures. McAfee shills about it also stopped I guess?

When the altcoin market fell after most of them reached their ATH in 2018, Verge (XVG) was one of them. Not a single coin was exempted. And even if Verge (XVG) was strongly supported by a very large community of Verge fanatics, it cannot stop it from falling down. No amount of shilling for Verge can control the falling market. Even McAfee shilling for it does not count much. The ATH, if it will be reached once again, will take a lot of time. The current price of Verge is too far from the ATH.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice on PGN ? Keep rising . on: October 11, 2019, 12:00:22 PM
oh man OP, don't bother with PGN imo
it might pump, but the coin is trash, it only existed to try make money off off RVN
and NEVER had any real support, just random pumps Sad

I hope the OP will heed our advice. There is no reason to eye PGN when there are so many other altcoins out there that have a million times potential compared to it. PGN is already valued 5 sats right now. And it could still dive down much lower, up to 1 sat even. Several months ago, every PGN is worth 1 sat and there is enough reason why it will go back to that level.

And taking note of the one and only exchange platform where PGN has a good enough volume, CHAOEX. It is pretty much an unknown exchange. And the only pair there is USDT. There is really no future to this coin.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Experience from day one on: October 11, 2019, 11:04:19 AM
If i am asked to write a story about my crypto accomplishments so far well i don't have any thing to write about except how much i have make, since 2018 i haven't make better money investing in crypto and for months i have invested in crappy projects because at that time i never understand why coins can be demanding, i think its same thing for most newbies too, i started my bounty journey but still nothing, instead every few dollars i made are from airdrops, yes i made reasonable money from airdrops like
-Apollo currency
- Blockstamp
- originalmy
- Data token
E t c, why haven't  my bounty tokens turned money? airdrops quickly get on exchanges and they are tradable but not bounty tokens, tell me whats your experience so far?

I cannot recall everything. But in general, my experience is that it all depends on the project. I cannot seem to conclude that bounty tokens or coins are listed earlier than airdropped tokens or coins, or the other way around. I have bounty tokens/coins that were listed earlier than airdropped tokens/coins but I also have airdropped tokens/coins that are also listed earlier than bounty tokens. It all boils down to the quality of the project. Bounty or airdrop is a choice of projects to distribute their tokens/coins as widely as possible and it does not have any bearing to their early or late listing to an exchange.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters needs to start respecting themselves on: October 11, 2019, 10:44:44 AM
Developers are at fault too, they start bounty campaigns with no limited participants, if bounty allocation is very low in usd value its always better to limit the participants that can promote the project so that the reward per participants will make sense
it's totally wrong if we blame bounty manager or developers team about participants limitation.they thinking if more people join in their campaign, more people spread about them and also possibility to attract invetors bigger than before.if they allocate small money in their campaign,we have to be wise with our decision that will participate or not.don't focus on value only.we have to recognized the projects quality.

In terms of participants, the developers will always want more. After all, that is what they are after. They want more and more people promoting their project to reach a wider audience and possibly attract investors. Most of the time, they do not care how much per participant will receive due to the very high number of participation. I guess it is the manager that should try to convince the developer that there has to be a certain limit so that each participant will receive a decent amount of compensation.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The One Thing That Could Stop Bitcoin on: October 11, 2019, 10:18:10 AM
Can any one thing stop Bitcoin? No, at this stage Bitcoin is unstoppable. Bitcoin's existence does not depend on a single person or government or any country for that matter, even China.

Why is China so overestimated in terms of influence over Bitcoin's existence? If China will all of a sudden decide to ban everything that is related to Bitcoin, the existence and growth of Bitcoin will not stop. It will continue to grow and get adopted across the world. Sooner or later, China will realize it has to be friendly to Bitcoin again because Bitcoin becomes the main global currency and it cannot allow itself to be left out of the world's development.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most stable asset or currency? on: October 11, 2019, 09:48:46 AM
What is the most stable asset or currency to keep value?

Its USDT?

Lets say i have today 50$ so where i should keep it?  Eur?  Usd?  Pounds?  Gold?  Usdt?

Bitcoin is not, maybe in future but right now bitcoin has too high volatility.

You do not enter into cryptocurrency if what you want is stability of prices. That is weird of someone to do that. Why should I even bother trying to get into crypto if I am looking for a stable asset in the first place? I would rather choose an unstable or volatile coin if that is the way for me to earn. It does not matter whether the value will decrease once in a while for as long as in the long run it is certain to make some profit. Whereas, if I buy a stable asset such as USDT, I will only end up with the same amount and value after many months of holding, or even a lower value because fiat is depreciating.
787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Options trading in crypto on: October 11, 2019, 09:18:21 AM
With options trading you can earn tremendous profit on big unpredictable movements, especially when expiration date is soon and price of options is low.

I have not and would not try anytime soon. I can see a huge amount of risk in option trading. The risk I can compare with margin or leverage trading. Of course there is a tremendous amount of potential profit since it should be commensurate to the amount of risk also, but I guess it is not worth my rudimentary trading skills. And it appears to me that without very detailed TAs, one trading with options is like blindly placing a bet with 100% uncertainty.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin at the end of 2019? on: October 11, 2019, 08:48:16 AM
I put in Litecoin halving into google and got:

"Will litecoin go up 2019?
According to oracletime.com, the advantages of Litecoin over Bitcoin will interest many new investors. Their Litecoin forecasts for the end of 2019 is $1000, but there are predictions that it could even rise up to $2000!"

Thoughts?

Wow! That is a prediction that is probably too bullish. That is something that Litecoin is impossible to reach in only barely three months time, even the lower prediction of the two, which is at $1,000. Take a quick look at coinmarketcap.com and you will see that Litecoin is somehow stuck at around $55. If $1,000 is possible, that is roughly x 18 of growth or 1,800 percent. I can't see enough reason for now why Litecoin will suddenly rise that fast in price. Halving is not enough reason I guess.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins on Dcoin to get listed? on: October 11, 2019, 08:21:45 AM
Hello

I saw that Dcoin is going to list two new coins, NWC and SGC, do you know anything about them? Should we invest?

How are you related to another newbie who has just also opened a similar thread as yours? The other one also asked about NWC and SGC which are pretty much unknown coins getting listed in Dcoin which is also an equally unknown exchange platform.

This is the other newbie's thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5191840.0

Look at his OP.

Hey

What do you think about this tokens, should we invest ?
Tell me your opinion. I have some money left and would like to invest it.

Thanks

You both look like shills of either the two coins that you both mentioned or of Dcoin.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitconnect Investigation on: October 11, 2019, 07:56:46 AM
I am researching scams such as bitconnect and the controversy around it.

For starters, I want to dig deeper into the ICO and "follow the money". Where is that 1500 BTC anyways?? I'm tracing the Bitcoin blockchain to see if I can find the source of funds.

Would you be willing to track down the address that bitconnect gave you to invest in their ICO? Or any other address you can identify as belonging to bitconnect? This would help my research a ton, and your assistance can be credited in my report. Hopefully, we can expose bitconnect for misleading investors and prevent future investors from making the same mistakes as you and me. PM me if you're willing to help out!

Thanks so much,
BTCarry

I can only wish you the best, mate. This scam has already been written in the history of cryptocurrency. And frankly speaking, I cannot see where this initiative of yours will end. If this is a personal effort, I doubt you will get the necessary info here to end up with something significant. "Follow the money" is going to be unimaginably hard because everything can shift to another coin in crypto and it means it is already lost in track.
791  Economy / Economics / Re: $6 Billion United Nations Agency Launches Bitcoin, Ethereum Crypto Fund on: October 11, 2019, 04:21:11 AM
Look at that, even a United Nations body is already adopting cryptocurrency, and not only Bitcoin but also Ethereum. Why can't some countries do the same? If other countries giving the green light to crypto is not enough for them to follow suit, how about no less than the UN itself?

I am amazed at how the United Nations is very much updated about the latest finance-related technologies. The trust seen in this decision is massive considering that we are not only talking of a few millions in USD but several billions.
792  Economy / Economics / Re: Ethereum managed to pass bitcoin in transaction fees last week on: October 11, 2019, 03:51:38 AM
Positive side of ethereum is could sent transaction faster than using bitcoin we have take one hour and more, but using ethereum we can received payment in short time just take few minutes if using good fee, but ethereum still with lower price and do not have anything effect with bitcoin how could raised up.
I remember before when the Bitcoin price was almost bypassed by the Ethereum and now the transaction fees. This is the most Ethereum has advantage to Bitcoin, the transaction fee. That's really good to hear. I think that many people will now switch temporarily into Ethereum since it has a high potential as of this moment but I do believe that it is only temporary and soon bitcoin will rise again people will also switch to it because I do believe that bitcoin is still the number one crypto.
It was January 2018 that reached its peak, transactions reached 1,349,000 more, and now only 706,000, a decrease that is very much in my opinion,
but it has been recovering since the beginning of 2019, and almost everyone chooses ethereum for transactions, Unicef also now opens opportunities for ethereum

The Ethereum platform is widely used, perhaps because it is friendly as it is reliable. Or even overused by so many crypto start-ups which turned out to be scams and crap.

Ethereum offers low transaction fees and faster confirmations but the fact remains that in term of trust, the majority still trust Bitcoin over Ethereum. I am a user of Ethereum primarily due to its low fees but I very much prefer Bitcoin if only it has as low fees as ETH.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best DEX out there? What do you guys think? on: October 11, 2019, 03:39:44 AM
I'm looking for some DEX projects to invest in, since I believe they are the future of trading for those of us who care about privacy, security, and peace of mind while trading basically.

I found Blocknet, which was founded in 2014, launched the first functional DEX. Seems like a promising project with a good entry price right now.

Also found Komodo, Bisq, and a few others..

There seems to be so many out there as of late, what do you guys think?

Binance DEX is the best option we are left with today. Etherdelta used to be the top but after all the controversies that led to Forkdelta, it was never like what it used to be. And then IDEX came, it also became my number one choice but then it suddenly decided to require KYC. That effectively made them out of the DEX league. Waves DEX came out as a contender for a very short while. But they fizzled out very quickly. What do we have now? Nothing else but Binance DEX.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Libra Fork - OpenLibra - how does it sounds? on: October 11, 2019, 03:14:26 AM
New Libra Fork Will Create Permissionless Stablecoin Free of Corporate Control

Thirty different blockchain companies and nonprofit organizations plan to fork the Facebook-led Libra crypto project to build their own permissionless version, dubbed OpenLibra.

i read it on CoinDesk

what do you guys think about it??

i think that libra is an important project cuz it will bring a lot of new users into the space
and open libra is a good alternative for those (like me) who dont trust facebook at all
and i think that OpenLibra will face less problems with the LAW and SEC, since it has completely different business model..

This is actually out of this world. Libra was never launched because of how it is being stopped by the governments all over the world. And now since it is most likely not to be launched at all, there is already a fork coming. Such aggression and determination to enter the crypto market. Well, they deserve credit for this. But even without Facebook in their team, I doubt the governments will change its stand on this. They will pass through the same eye of the needle.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge (XVG) Bulls Beated Major Crypto’s on: October 11, 2019, 02:46:51 AM
As of now, Verge is exchanging at the estimation of $0.003881 and the estimation of the cash is expanding by 2.77%. The market capitalization of the cash is $62,029,629 and the 24-hour volume of the money is $3,920,004. The coursing supply is 15,982,868,119 XVG.

Still, $0.003881 is very far from Verge (XVG) ATH at $0.300588. That remains unreachable until now. Verge (XVG) has a lot of coping up to do. For me, Verge (XVG) is getting weaker everyday. Probably it has lost a lot of very aggressive community members in the past. The capitalization as of today is $58,295,732, that is around 4 million USD lesser than yesterday's. The 24-volume is also decreasing at $3,199,249. These statistics should be treated as a wake up call for the project. This could go on and on if the project remains like this, drowsy and stagnant.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NWC and SGC about to get listed on Dcoin exchange on: October 11, 2019, 02:22:50 AM
Hey

What do you think about this tokens, should we invest ?
Tell me your opinion. I have some money left and would like to invest it.

Thanks

We should not invest in tokens that are almost as popular as dead tokens. I have not encountered NWC and SGC before I read this thread. You should probably give a word or two about these tokens so that we can have a little idea about them, what they are for, how they are developing so far, etc. And Dcoin exchange is as unpopular as the two tokens you have mentioned. I don't have any reason to invest in them in an exchange that is also unknown.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: How did the Bakkt launch go? Quick recap on: October 10, 2019, 01:49:47 PM
Alright so Bakkt launched this thing and then the price of Bitcoin sank faster than whale shit.   What happened?

How do I sign up and get an account at Bakkt?  Did Bakkt get rekkt?  Or did Bakkt do the rekkting?

I think you need to read first even the fundamentals of Bakkt out of here. The responses here will not be enough for you to become familiar with it. Well, Bakkt is basically a Bitcoin-futures trading. It is celebrated because it is owned by ICE which is the same owner of the largest stock exchange in the world, New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). But during the launch date itself, the performance was less than stellar. The volume was low. And aside from that, the price of Bitcoin was also in red. This might be coincidental but it also sent the fact that Bakkt's hype was all air. It was not able to bring Bitcoin's price even a little higher.
798  Economy / Economics / Re: At which price will loose Bitcoin the dominance in the Crypto Market? on: October 10, 2019, 01:18:29 PM
I don't think altcoins will ever be able to over Bitcoin dominance. Bitcoin simply has mass adoption levels that no altcoin can ever rival. When people say cryptocurrency, bitcoin is actually the first thing that comes to mind.

It's not a thing to worry or concern oneself about tho, bitcoin dominance is not an enemy.

What do you mean? Have you never seen Bitcoin's dominance grow lower than 40 percent in the past? In fact, Bitcoin's lowest dominance was at 36.1 percent and it was hit just last year. Please refer to the news from CNBC here https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/02/bitcoin-dominance-of-cryptocurrency-market-lowest-level-ever.html

The altcoins can actually beat Bitcoin if they are mostly composed of as great projects as Ethereum. But since most of the projects only create shitcoins with no supporters, Bitcoin keeps on dominating.
799  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC Rejects Bitwise’s Latest Bitcoin ETF Proposal on: October 10, 2019, 12:29:41 PM
When this ETF topic started to make it to the news, people were very excited just like when Bakkt also created a huge stir among the crypto community. But, just like Bakkt also, the hype surrounding ETF and its anticipation have all died down after a few attempts were repeatedly rejected. If we look at the movements of BTC price, it is already fully detached from ETF news. This was what happened to Bakkt as well. It is therefore logical that even if an ETF is finally approved by the SEC, the prices will not anymore react.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power belongs to the investors, they are not to be toyed with on: October 10, 2019, 12:04:29 PM
Investors needs to have interest in other for a project to survive, once investors lose interest its the end, this is why i think developers need to be serious from now onward, there will come a time that new projects won't see investors investing on their projects and its because we have had enough of crappy projects, if there is no more good ideas developers need to stop building projects

This is happening right now. This is one of the reasons why the ICO market is dead or almost dead. There was a time when projects were trusted by the investors. They were able to gather enough funds for them to be able to develop their products. But these projects fail over and over again in proving to the investors that they are worth their money. And now that the investors have too much of scams and crappy projects, they stop investing. And now ICOs can even find it hard to reach soft caps.
