7824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wallets in general on linux on: December 23, 2014, 09:34:25 PM

Hey,
I'm an average-skilled user of Linux; I have one set up to serve as a remote wallet (at the moment I'm constantly moving around which is why I want one).

So I have my VPS set up, I asked for Ubuntu x64, which it has. I've installed the desktop, VNC etc and done some hardening.

The problem I now face is installing the wallets; a lot of coins have their wallets precompiled (3 out of 4 of these don't work, its always some obscure missing library file that the OS wants and as much as I Google I can't find a solution anywhere for some of them) and some ask you to compile it from source or use Qt creator (tried this and failed too).

So I'm really just asking/begging for some useful advice on how to get these wallets working on Ubuntu? (or if there is a better OS that will make it easier for an idiot to install wallets besides Windows/Mac OS X).

Thanks.

Hi.

I use Centos Linux in my home PC and i have installed Bitcoin qt, and multibit on it. No problems for the installation.

What is the error you got when you try to install this wallets?

There are many ways to earn 10 BTC in 2 month. There is only one of them.

1. Create 250 accounts on bitcointalk.
2. Enroll them in some signature campaign.
Right now there are 3 campaigns that pay for newbie at least 0.00004 BTC per post, 100 posts/week maximum.
So every account can earn 0.016 BTC in month, that mean all of them will earn 4 BTC in the first month.
After 1 month they'll become Junior Members and will earn at least 0.00006 BTC per post. So you'll have 6 BTC more in the second month.
All you have to do is write 3750 posts daily. Don't forget they should be constructive!

If you are searching something much easier I'm afraid you will find nothing.
Earning with BTC = patience + work + hope. Or just blind luck Smiley

Only that?, lol.

24*60=1440

One day has 1440 minutes...

1440/3760=0.384...

That mean you need to make one post every 0.384 seconds to get 3750 post in 24 hours. No eat, no sleep... hahaha.

But at last is a way to do it.

Well it should be 0.384 minutes instead, so the job should now be 60 times easier.  Grin

+1

I fail in the units... at last still a lot of work, lol, i dont see it like a true option to make 10 bitcoins.

It is hard only first two months. when you become member with payrate 15k satoshi/post, you'll earn easy 5 btc/month posting only 1111 posts daily.
That means 1 lazy post/min and you'll have 329 min of free time. i'd advise you to spend 300 min for sleeping, 25 min for eating and 4 min for sex.
Trust me, many people in the world live much worse than that.

A whole 4 minutes for sex?  What am I supposed to do for the other 3 minutes?

You will need to pee and sh*t some times, lol. use that 3 min. for that.

Hi guys.

Today bitcoin value is $356.12 (22/Nov/2014)

I have 3 bitcoins and need $1340 for last days of December, what to do?

My options.

A) Keep the bitcoins, the price will go up!
B) Invest in other coins, Doge and LiteCoin will go up!
C) Sell that 3 btc and take that $1050 and try to earn 1 btc to get that $300.

Im of the idea "If price goes down, get more coins", but if you have a "Option D)" share it please  Wink

Now you need to earn $360 Sad

now i have 3.35 btc but have 6 more months to pay the loan. I will hold, get more btc and wait the price goes up.

Lol, you're "investing" in BTC with borrowed money?  This is gonna end well Roll Eyes

Lol, is not borrowed money, i start a busines and have to pay the "company shares" on June.

This is what I want to do.  I want find a way to get 10 Bitcoins in 2 months.  I don't have any money to invest.  How would you get 10 Bitcoins in 2 months?  Is it possible to do some work and reinvest the Bitcoins into cloud mining?

Gambling is the way to to get 10 bitcoins in 2 months with zero invest.

For example, you can start with freerolls on poker to get your first btc on:

https://bitcasino.io/
https://nitrogensports.eu/

If you get 0.01 then go to:

http://luckyb.it/

And gamble 0.01 to be elegible for lotto, and in the site chat you will get free btc in the next 24h

***********************************************************************************

At this point you are generating btc with poker and lottos, If you always bet 0.01 bitcoins to the red addy on luckybit, you only have 20% chance to win aprox. but you will get a x24, x130 or x999

0.01 x24 = 0.24 btc
0.01 x130 = 1.3 btc
0.01 x999 = 9.99 btc ← And you get that 10 bitcoins

When that happen dont forget to say thx.
7838  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY on: December 17, 2014, 04:56:18 AM
At least that's what I just did, so I believe we are at or very close to the bottom. And I plan on buying more, significantly more, at these levels as Coinbase allows me -I like to instant buy-, so I am prepared to keep on buying for a little while if prices remain around 325 or go any lower.

Why? Well, I believe BTC will be, far and away THE investment of 2015. As a trader, mind you, I will not stay on it if there are significant profits to be taken, so nothing to do with "long" term investment here ("long", in this case, being one year), but I hope to be lucky enough to time a few trades along the way even if I am "forced" to buy up eventually.

I don't believe the current divergence between price and popularity of BTC will continue for much longer and, as more and more vendors, from Time Inc to Microsoft, start accepting payments in BTC, I cannot imagine any way but up for the currency... especially if the regulation incoming finally arrives... as it should in 2015.

Also, if price remains stagnant -let alone if it continues going down- I believe as many as half the people currently mining will stop that particular madness and their money will come into BTC straight, rather than towards ever more expensive miners, so that could be another propeller.

Anyway, those are my motivations. That's why I bought back. That's why I'm buying more.

Yeah, if pleople buy now and wait max 6 months they will make nice money, bitcoin will go up soon.
7839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Purchasing bitcoins – a profitable investment? on: December 17, 2014, 04:21:16 AM
Purchasing bitcoins can be a great business but need patience. Now is a great moment to buy.

If you get the bitcoins now at $330 and wait it goes to $500, you make your invest x1.34...  Cool

But at last need time and patience. Wink
7840  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Amazon account with $20 for 0.03 BTC on: December 15, 2014, 02:25:15 PM
u got it for just 1.99$ now selling it 7$ where is your loss?

3.- Selling a account with $20 for $7 means i lost $13, that was a good deal for some one else.

20-7 =13
