7821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: August 17, 2016, 03:03:37 PM
I would say otherwise. Bitcoin has a lot of competition due to altcoins like Ethereum, monero, dash, litecoin and doge. Also news coins are popping up every week.

Due to these altcoins, the investments are getting divided. If all of the online investments are flown in to bitcoin, it would have reached 2k USD mark by now. But due to the immense competition from the altcoins, it is still at $580 level.
7822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar , a failure ? on: August 17, 2016, 02:42:57 PM
I had the exact same feeling when it was opened for public. People love to store and invest their bitcoins instead of spending them. That is the trend.

Bitcoin has a huge upside potential and people believe it can go up 2k USD by the end of next year. So why would anyone spend their bitcoin for online goods? Instead they can use their fiat currency for the same.

7823  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitminer.io - A Free mining site like the Bitcoin Millionare Game on: August 16, 2016, 02:52:54 PM
I have just joined but it seems like a scam to me. Honestly speaking. Why would a website will give me 0.0012 every two days? What's their interest?

The minimum withdrawal is 0.005, so a free member will have to wait for 5 days to request the first withdrawal. I will check and post back here if I receive any payment from here.

Have you received any payment till date?
7824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unlicensed Exchangers on: August 14, 2016, 05:36:07 PM
Is there any licensed exchange available to trade bitcoin? I really don't know. If anyone know about it, then please let us know so that we can start using that exchange.

I am using c-cex since the beginning of my trading so is it also an unlicensed exchange? Just trying to know the truth.
7825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Easier to Convince? Employer to Pay in BTC or Local Store to Accept BTC on: August 14, 2016, 05:07:15 PM
neither of them! local store owners are small businessman. Their business run on hard cash where no exchanger fees are applicable. Whenever a small business man accepts bitcoin, they will have to again pay fees to the exchanger to exchange that particular bitcoin in to fiat.

However, big corporate are easier to convince. But they run on numbers. so the dynamic price of bitcoin is not always good for their business. They will have to have a contingency plan in case the price depreciates. It is always better and easier for them to accept and spend in fiat.
7826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase has partnered with Paypal - Officially! on: August 13, 2016, 05:35:30 PM
It is indeed a good news that a financial transaction facilitator giant like paypal partnered with coinbase. But you have to remember one thing, that paypal is regulated by law of respective countries where they are providing service.

So the regulatory authority of that country can track your transaction very easily. So if you want to exchange a good amount of bitcoin, avoid paypal.
7827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitGo, Coinbase Vaut or Paper Wallet for secure long term storage on: August 13, 2016, 03:29:09 PM
Try to use hardware wallet if you are holding any serious amount of bitcoin. The blockchain will take around 260 GB space in your hard drive and will take a long time to update initially, but safest to hold your bitcoin for a long time.

But if you are holding a little amount of bitcoin, then you can definitely go for coinbase vault. But again the coinbase is a third party service provider and hence if they go out of business, you will loose all your bitcoins.
7828  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will reach $4000 after halving ? on: August 13, 2016, 08:19:00 AM
That's day dreaming. Reaching to $4k is not an easy task and the market cap will not support this price. By the end of 2016 we may see bitcoin price may touch $750 to $800 level. But $4k will take a long time.

Probably at least 5 years it would take for bitcoin to reach 4-5k USD. It is not going to happen anytime soon.
7829  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: August 13, 2016, 08:02:59 AM
Definitely Yes, but only if you have the capacity to hold it for a long time like 7-8 years. Otherwise the amount is really huge to invest.

Bitcoin gives a really nice return for long term only. If you are thinking of investing for 2-3 years, better choose any conventional investment like bank deposit or mutual fund.
7830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1.6M ln Bitcoin Auctioned Off in US: Will Bitcoin Price Increase? on: August 13, 2016, 07:54:23 AM
The price will not increase after this....if the bitcoins come to market, then the price may get decreased further. However, if the owners of the auctioned bitcoin choose to spend it for other reasons or hold it as an investment. Then the price may increase.

But why USA agencies are confiscating bitcoins from the users?? this is bad and the awareness about bitcoin may come to a standstill.
7831  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will you do if you own 21 BTC? on: August 13, 2016, 05:04:38 AM
21 BTC is a very good amount but it is not even a million in my local currency. I guess I will go to a foreign university and invest these BTC in my education only.

Because investing in my own education will give me a steady return for my lifetime which nothing else can do. foreign degree will help me to get a dream job which will pay for my great life.
7832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Africans Can Utilize Bitcoin... on: August 11, 2016, 03:46:54 PM
Africans can use bitcoin just the same we do in any other country. It was never advisable to spend your valuable bitcoin for buying groceries or mobile recharge.

I have seen there are many local exchangers available for Africa in localbitcoin. They can simply exchange their bitcoin for their local money and utilize it for betterment.
7833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember when Bitcoin was new and..... on: August 11, 2016, 03:42:32 PM
I wish I could started using bitcoin since 2011. But unfortunately I have started adopting bitcoin from 2015 when it was already popular and used by many people. So I have started earning in fractions from faucets.

Then I started trading bitcoin and also started p2p loans, then I started seeing big money. If I had started using it since 2011, I could have made a fortune for me by now.
7834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: August 11, 2016, 03:38:43 PM
It is absolutely impossible. Bitcoin can't just decrease the bank's value in any way. Bank is a well regulated and government backed financial institution.

Probably the blockchain technology can impact bank's daily routine due to which the banks may start adopting new technologies and diversify but it is not possible for bitcoin to decrease their credibility in any way. That just can't happen.
7835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From 1 Bitcoin to 100 Bitcoins - what would you do then? on: August 11, 2016, 10:42:46 AM
First of all, it is very very hard and almost impossible to earn 100 bitcoin from just 1 bitcoin by investing in altcoins. Instead of investing in ICO's , I will prefer investing in bitcoin or dash only.

If I have to hold some coin for a long time to get best return, then it would be only bitcoin and nothing else. Only bitcoin has the potential to go up to really high. No other coins has such potential.
7836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoin ATMs worth using? on: August 11, 2016, 04:28:26 AM
The answer is simple "NO". It is because of the high withdrawal fees. Instead of paying so much fees, it is better to withdraw all your money through an exchanger in one go and use it for shopping.

Also I think bitcoin ATM is not a financially viable business. The installation and maintenance of an ATM is huge and to recover the expense, the ATM owner will have to take it from the users. So it is always better to use exchanger service to withdraw bitcoin.
7837  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you hate about Bitcoin ? on: August 11, 2016, 04:19:59 AM
I love everything about bitcoin and hate nothing about it. Bitcoin is a super power and it has a potential to make few of your dreams come true. I hate many other altcoins. Due to the huge number of altcoins bitcoin is not getting required investment which could have helped bitcoin to go in to 2k USD territory.

If possible stop using useless altcoins and start investing in bitcoin so that the market cap increases and we can see a huge price rise.
7838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow the Bitcoins taken from me by Homeland Security on: August 09, 2016, 03:30:30 PM
That is really sad news. But thank god that you have not been thrown in to jail at least. You are free to stay with your family. Only your hard earned fortune is gone.

I hope you will soon recover the mental trauma of loosing so much money. Wish you best of luck brother!

7840  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: August 09, 2016, 08:28:06 AM
I wish to buy a secure future with bitcoin. I have started accumulating bitcoin through various activities since last year. Still I am accumulating only and I have no plan to sell these immediately.

I will continue my bitcoin earning activities for another 5-6 years and I really hope that I will be able to make out some big amount of money from bitcoin. Lets hope for the best.
