7821  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Idea - Global e-payment exchange with orderbook on: August 11, 2017, 05:21:53 AM
I understand you idea, but most of the e-payment websites have nasty chargeback policies.
The creators of such e-payment exchange will have to cover all the chargeback risks and their fees would become too expensive. We can`t compare such service with the cryptocurrency exchange services, because crypto transactions are irreversible.
I don`t think there`s a way to get thru the chargeback rules.
7822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dynamic Fees on: August 11, 2017, 05:12:12 AM
Bitcoin fees are lower than during the scaling debate, just check the blocks. Also by design one day the transaction fees will be the only thing supporting the network and Bitcoin was designed for big translations and mimicking gold, that is, not for the poor. If you can use for smaller transactions it is a profit and not guaranteed to happen in the future.

If bitcoin is designed for big transactions only, this means that bitcoin mass adoption is compromised from the start. What about all the small businesses that are trying to adopt bitcoin payments?
I can`t agree with the idea of bitcoin being a "digital gold" and nothing more.
I don`t think that this was the main Satoshi Nakamoto`s idea when creating btc.
Anyway, about the OP question.Bigger blocks mean lower transaction fees.I`m not an expert, but Segwit2x will bring some positive change. Grin
7823  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 to $50,000 prediciton in CNBC on: August 10, 2017, 12:06:19 PM
https://www.cnbc.com/video/2017/08/09/this-is-why-bitcoin-could-be-the-new-gold-tom-lee.html

Good video with some good bullish predictions in national american TV.. it looks like all these boomers are catching up slowly. That woman say that she owns several cryptos because she thinks it will be like the early internet stocks, and she doesnt know if bitcoin will be the one that wins.

Now they just need to learn how 99.99% of altcoins are shitcoins.

Cryptocurrencies are exactly like the early internet stocks before the dot-com bubble.
After the crypto bubble bursts, the only two currencies that will survive will be bitcoin and ethereum.
All the other "shitcoins" will be gone.
It`s good that bitcoin gets recognition on CNBC,we need more "free advertising" for btc. Grin
That woman doesn`t know that much about the blockchain and segwit,i guess.
7824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan the leader of Bitcoin trading on: August 10, 2017, 11:55:12 AM
Japan continues to lead in Bitcoin trading, guess japan is hope for the future of cryptocurrencies ;

https://blog.eth-price.com/2017/08/10/japan-korea-bitcoin-trading/

After all the regulations from the Chinese central bank,i guess that most of the traders with accounts in chinese cryptocurrency exchange platforms moved their cryptos to Japan + more and more japanese started buying due to the btc adoption.
I`m wondering about this.Is China still the number one country  for cryptocurrency mining?
Perhaps they mine bitcoins and sell them to the japanese.
China is not the world leader in crypto trading anymore and this is good news.
There were so many people here asking "Is China manipulating bitcoin?"The answer is NO.
Anyway. The future of cryptocurrencies is in Asia for sure. Grin
7825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lets talk address 1JCe8z4jJVNXSjohjM4i9Hh813dLCNx2Sy on: August 10, 2017, 06:14:54 AM
The largest single address (1JCe8z4jJVNXSjohjM4i9Hh813dLCNx2Sy) since late last year has recently moved about 57% of the coins to numerous addresses... my first thought given that the movements took place within a 3 hour window on the 8th turning into the 9th of August was that this address belonged to BTC-e... largely due to the news out that they were able to recover 55% of seized funds. But if that were the case and you had control over the master address, why wouldn't you move everything?

Anyone else have thoughts on the recent movement of coins?

Some big whale is selling his bitcoins and cashing out the profits.
This is the most obvious theory.I thought that BTC-e was closed by the authorities, not hacked.
Anyway, this is a pretty interesting time for bitcoin and bitcoin holders.
The big whales are selling their btc and the price continues to increase.
7826  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do we stop buying Bitcoin ? on: August 10, 2017, 06:07:29 AM
Bitcoin is now a requirement. So it will be difficult for people not to buy bitcoin. Let alone the increasing number of enthusiasts will bitcoin even though the price of bitcoin is now soaring.

I can`t understand your post. How come bitcoin is a "requirement"?
Why it would be difficult for people "not to buy"?If the price increases,it gets more difficult to buy.
I would say that the OP question in the topic is a little bit stupid.Nobody can predict when bitcoin will reach the absolute top and when btc will totally stop increasing it`s value.

7828  Economy / Speculation / Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit on: August 02, 2017, 11:35:24 AM
.. a step forward we waited for more than 2 years to see!

And what do brave bitcoiners do? They mourn about a new Altcoin.

What a joke.

Yeah, this is so annoying.I think all the members here will forget about bitcoin cash after a few days.
BCH is doing really well.I`m surprised about this.I was expecting a big failure which isn`t happening.
Bcash is way more successfull compared with Bitcoin unlimited and the best thing is that bitcoin isn`t damaged by this fork.
7829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinCash reaching 500$ on: August 02, 2017, 11:29:33 AM
Pretty much topic, I think it's good to just keep Bitcoincash for a while instead of dumping it immediately. As long as it's free coins, Why not wait and see if it even goes higher. Even if it goes down you can sell it for 200 or 300$ (the original price) when it reaches at that range.

I don`t have any bitcoins in my wallets right now,so i don`t have bitcoin cash as well.
Somebody is pumping bitcoin cash.Perhaps some of the big whales want to make some fast profits.
The bitcoin core price is just fine, which is more important for me.
7830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH prices on: August 02, 2017, 05:21:09 AM
Is it possible BCH price will reach $1000?
If yes, how long will it take to reach $1000?
If not, what the reason BCH price can not reach $1000?

Right now the BCH price is 415 USD,acording to Coinmarketcap.Congratulations to all the BCH devs and supporters. They made some easy money. Now it`s time to convert into other cryptos or fiat money.
Bcash will reach 1000 USD after a few years or maybe never?
Will ethereum or any other altcoin reach 1000 USD?
7831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash doing alright? on: August 02, 2017, 05:14:22 AM
Well it certainly has got the support. No. in the market cap already, and the value is great, especially if you think it is an altcoin.
So we can all agree that bitcoin cash is doing alright as an altcoin?

There are more new topics about Bitcoin Cash in the Bitcoin Discussion board rather than topics about bitcoin.
We can all agree that Bcash is an altcoin,so all the topics about BCH should be moved to the Altcoin related forum boards.
Anyway, bitcoin cash value will decrease very soon.People start complaining that there`s no place to sell their BCH. Grin
7832  Economy / Economics / Re: "Bitcoin unstoppable?" Bill Gates says a few words on: August 01, 2017, 11:59:32 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0HmrSfJwhU
Donīt let you irritate by the Youtube title, Bill Gates says only a few words.

I am very curious about your opinion about this video, it made me thinking, but then Roger Ver popped up and im not sure what I shall think.

I don`t care about what Bill Gates says.It would be great, if he buys a few thousand bitcoins. Grin
Implementing the blockchain technology in every day life is more important and it will bring  huge democratisation and more freedom from the banks and Wall Street.
Isn`t Roger Ver just a speculant, who wants only to make money and doesn`t really care about cryptos and the blockchain technology?
7833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoincash forked out, now when is Segwit? on: August 01, 2017, 11:52:40 AM
There was the talk of Segwit first and large Chinese miner went for hardfork.
In fact the hardfork eased the path for Segwit. So I think segwit is imminent now.
How quick will it occur?

I forgot the exact time.Perhaps after 3 or 4 months(October or November).
There were so many Segwit haters on this forum a year ago.Now the support for Segwit is so big.
The Chinese miner you are talking about is OKcoin, right?
They think they can make some profit with Bcash,i don`t believe it`s possible.
7834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: A big ride is about to come on: August 01, 2017, 05:32:23 AM
I keep saying that the whole Bitcoin Cash story was intended to manipulate the bitcoin price for a while,
so the big whales can start buying some cheap BTC.All the future hard forks will look like this one(and the Bitcoin Unlimited fork). Some big whales will pay some "hard fork supporters" to fork. This will create some
panic and the bitcoin price goes down. The big whales buy and after the hard fork, bitcoin skyrockets.
7835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Okcoin to release BCC mining pool on: August 01, 2017, 05:26:47 AM
Should the Bitcoin cash symbol and logo look the same as bitcoin symbol and logo?
This is so misleading and so wrong.
I wish all the bitcoin cash supporters good luck, but i`m pretty sure that BCH will fail
and soon it will become worthless.Perhaps BCH mining would be profitable for a while.
7836  Economy / Exchanges / Re: who would have thought: Btc-e coming back this soon! on: July 31, 2017, 11:40:23 AM
they've released an official statement today in a couple of hours ago:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2056158.0
use google translate or look at comment #13, someone already did.
who would have thought they come back this soon and promise a refund!

the interesting line is the last one and says this Alexander guy wasn't their owner.

Btc-e is a big exchange platform. Why don` t they make official statements in english?
Lucky for me,i understand russian a little bit, even without Google translate.
It`s good that everything that happened with btc-e had amost no influence over the bitcoin price.
The russian authorities are quilty for trying to destroy btc-e.
7837  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what time are the fireworks suppose to start? on: July 31, 2017, 06:22:07 AM
Does anyone know what time exactly that the fork will occur? and is this BCC 'air drop' suppose to hit exchanges at the exact same time?

It would be nice to know a time, so you can grab some tea and watch the charts seizure.  Tongue

Fireworks and fork? Are you going to celebrate the fork? Grin
I`m wondering what will be the Bitcoin Cash price after all those exchange platforms that refused to support BCH? A few cents or  even nothing.
Perhaps the BCH devs and supporters will stop the circus and Bitcoin Cash won`t launch at all.
7838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin going to thrive in Africa? on: July 31, 2017, 06:15:40 AM
It is a well observed fact that, bitcoin is doing amazing and all over the place thousands are accepting it as a medium of exchange. That being so though, it is clear that it has a disruptive nature to the current monetary system. In africa, in Ethiopia in Particular(since i am from there), the government system is awfully slow to adopt to such disruptive technologies. Unlike the developed world, who mostly by now are going with the punches and are investing in mining facilities and what so ever related investment worthy projects around block chains and the likes, i am afraid Most African governments' will have a hard time just with the thought of giving their power away for the people to manage their own money in a decentralized manner.

Bitcoin will thrive in Africa, but after decades of growth, adoption and development.
Ethiopia has huge potential for producing electrcity from it`s water resources(check in Wikipedia) and
huge industrualization potential(lots of cheap work force). With more and more big companies investing, the future of african countries is going to be amazing.
7839  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: SolarToCrypto setting the stones of the mining future on: July 30, 2017, 12:03:49 PM
Solar electricity is so expensive. How can altcoin mining be profitable with such electricity costs?
Altcoin prices aren`t stable. What if you mine some altcoins, and their prices crash?
You applied for gov funding. This is smart.
Using government support for mining cryptocurrencies, which are something that is,i would say,anti-government. Grin
Good luck with your project OP.
7840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 11:56:45 AM
It will be as good as instant dead.

Some people will probably try to pump/dump it, to make a quick buck out of it, but that's it. And the only reason Exchanges are widely accepting it is because they are simply businesses; transaction fees.

The community is with its developers, not with a bunch of greedy miners.

I don`t know how the "greedy miners" who support bitcoin cash will win something from this fork?
I think that the main purpose of this fork was to create some panic and manipulate the bitcoin price two weeks ago, when btc was around 1900-2100 USD.Some fork "supporters" just bought some cheap bitcoins and now they are waiting for btc going to the moon.
