muahahhaha, the worldbank found out the truth about bitcoin:

bitcoin is a "naturally occuring ponzi"

http://www.coindesk.com/world-bank-report-bitcoin-naturally-occurring-ponzi/

man those "naturally-occurring-central-bankers" are funny.... Cheesy

Lol, maybe everything looks like a ponzi when you're the world leader in them Wink Actually, they're right and so are the pyramid scheme claims, what they neglect to mention is its a reverse pyramid, the folks normally at the bottom are on the top and the few with most of the world wealth are the last ones in.

Bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme.  Period.  People have been throwing that word around way too much since the Madoff case.  By definition, a ponzi scheme has a single person or entity through which all the funds flow.  That is obviously not true of bitcoin.  It amazes me (although perhaps it shouldn't) that someone associated with the world bank would be so sloppy.

Bitcoin is a Bubblicious ponzi scheme!

buy Buy BUY!

 Cheesy

What mini bubble is this? I sure dont see any bubbling at the moment.

Well, maybe it is not the right technical term. I mean the one that started on May/20, at ~450 USD/BTC, and is still going on.

thats not a bubble, that was the bottom.

just buy a bitcoin Jorge

I think this poll's results indicate a massive sell off at $10000.
Meanwhile... buy buy buy! Grin

the swings in the 4-8K range are gana be something else.

but 10K is easily attainable really... small % of gold looks to buy bitcoin and vola!
7851  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 16, 2014, 02:28:34 PM
Maybe it's time that we stop being delusional.
For 6 weeks or so everyone expected a huge break out. I think by now it's clear it's simply not gonna happen. At least not now.
Nothing even slightly points that way either. Really, there is no reason i can think of why we suddenly would go to the moon.
I'm a bull and will always be but i'm starting to cringe every time i see people adjusting their charts and lines and chicken bones to show how we will go up in 2 days from now. You just keep changing the dates and lines because nothing happened at the previous date.
I never seen so many people in denial and simply delusional here before.
I think it's better if you start facing the facts.
fact
Bitcoin cost/value has been plummeting
fact
Its only a matter of time at this point until price corrects in the correct direction
fact
Part of you knows i'm right, next year it wont be 620$... this is why you Hodl!
7852  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 16, 2014, 01:55:26 PM
ya one thing is clear the market is in no rush these days.
7853  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 16, 2014, 01:48:00 PM
oh i see what's happening

its time to buy
7854  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 15, 2014, 11:24:24 PM
I'm already seated in the bumpy Monero train:

+1! Full speed to 0.015  Grin

lol, that will take a while Wink
We'll see a lot of selling above 0.008 I guess Smiley

but back on topic (maybe we should create a Monero Wall Observer  Wink )

I've updated my favorite chart: It's time to go up:

Blue: actual exchange rate
Red: April 2013 repeating (low of this bubble matched with low after China bubble)
Green: Nov/dec 2013 repeating (low of this bubble matched with low after the same bubble)
black: exponential trendline current data
DATA: bitcoinaverage.com

For the last 4 weeks every day people post charts that show how we are about to go up. If anything we go down.
Could it be that drawing lines on a chart is completely and totally useless?
no way lines on charts all the way everyday

still waiting for that 640 break out, launch pad still looks good, we are getting closer to decision time, 4-9.5 days till break out. ( should launch pad hold  Tongue )
it predicts the future more often then not its half right half the time.

Newegg just ran an ad in Diggs daily email - 10% anything (up to $100) on Newegg if you use bitcoin!

http://promotions.newegg.com/nepro/14-3631/index.html?cm_mmc=BAC-Digg-Bitcoin-Promotion-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA&nm_mc=ExtBanner

Even if I hated bitcoin or didn't know anything about it, 10% off would get me motivated to use it. Anyone selling right now is crazy.

Fantastic. I was waiting for 1000 for a new laptop but they have a discount on the one I want right now and now this. It's like Bitcoin being at 700. May have to bite.

now if only newegg.ca could get a clue that would be gr8.

pretty sure i read they would soon get around to adding bitcoin to newegg.ca, i imagine ill buy a few things when they do... maybe i should pick up a few bits now... hmmm
7856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 15, 2014, 03:08:43 AM
No chance I'd sell anything but I will still keep earning fiat on a regular basis and pumping that in as I see fit. Buying things w/ BTC=good, selling precious coins for slave stamps=barf.

I hope to be able to buy in on a regular basis  soon, just need to make more money  Tongue

and so, i trade and hope for bitcoin to swing my way so i may grab it, hodl it, if only for a little bit...
7857  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 15, 2014, 02:53:16 AM
Is it me or is selling all your coins at the moment to hopefully buy back in cheaper next week highly risky?

I have less than 12 coins and at this current moment I wouldn't dare to sell even 1.

At this current moment the upward potential by far outweighs the chance of buying in a tiny bit cheaper along with the chance of missing out and/or having to panic buy back in at a higher price.

Also you don't lose money unless you sell at a loss, by holding in a small temporary downwards movement you don't lose anything.

Nothing points to things going up.
There is huge selling pressure. Every big buy gets instantly dumped on. Good news does absolutely nothing.
But if you sell then you are part of the reason why we keep going down. And it looks like you want us to go up. The reason we don't go up is because of sellers who think we won't go up.

you make it sound like we're crashing.

vol is good, not spectacular, but neither has price action.

its all good.

I think people are scared of the 2.0 currencies which are coming in late 2014 early 2015. There are quite a few good ones.

lol

first, selling all your coins is not recommended... you gotta have that long term hodl even if it is just 1 BTC and you trade a alot... Always be HODLING!

second, totally depends on your entry point risk tolerance and stuff.

once you got all that sorted out.

feel free too go gamble your bitcoin net worth at bitstamps!
