7841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think of Arbitrage Opportunity platforms? on: August 31, 2018, 07:28:55 PM
Yo everyone,
There is multiple platforms/websites that list arbitrage opportunities and calculate the profit that can be made, some even state a tutorial on how to perform specific ones on specific exchanges etc..
Has anyone ever tried trusting does and made soem profit?
Share your experience  Wink

Back then Im an enthusiast of arbitrage system wherein fees and confirmation time isn't really a factor. It's really time consuming since my approach is manual and that is the basic approach. From exchange comparison to execution, overall it was an interesting activity back then.

But today I rarely see people doing arbitrage and surely it was because of fees, confirmation time and the service of the exchange itself. At some of the cases, exchanges does have a delays in deposits and withdrawals

I believed in today's arbitrage system, there are platforms available now where doing arbitrage is automatic. I also see some ICO projects who have that kind of feature but Im not sure if their service goes live now.
7842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 31, 2018, 05:51:54 PM
Derozan only has danny green he needs to surpass from last year, the rest is still the same. People think derozan will not contribute as much as kawhi but people are also forgetting two things, first of all kawhi didn't contributed at all last year and spurs went to playoffs anyway and two kawhi got injured and seems not that alright in the mind, so we don't know if kawhi is still that same kawhi.

Hence derozan can absolutely not be an upset, whatever he provides is definitely better than what danny green could do and I am sure it will be a lot more. No one expects a "championship bringer" type player but anything more than role player is great.

Honestly I don't undestand why other people thinks that DeRozan will be a disappointment to the Spurs fan? How come? DeRozan is more of a role player than being a superstar. In Raptors, he is not the only who do ISO plays and we saw how well their ball rotation is. Meaning he is not always the main man of their offense. Spurs system is always like that much especially they played with no main man last season so surely DeRozan will adopt easily the Pop's system in Spurs.

I see Raptors should have to make more adjustmenst with Kawhi than DeRozan with the Spurs.

Oh boy my boys Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter I forgot that they are still playing and I've heard that Vince is playing for his last season, this year. Man, we are growing old and these prime superstars are also retiring soon.

Yeah didn't notice that too.
But Carter may have been resting much than playing. This guys bones are getting weaker so they really need much of a rest and cannot do much of the running anymore. They still have the skill, but stamina will kill them. Grin

If only Carter did not get that injury. He might have been a great player by now with rings on his fingers.

Vince Carter is more of an instructor now than a player. I don't know why he still plays. If he want championship, he can easily request on it on a competitive team as he will not harm the cap space but he is not aggressive on that for many years. Maybe getting more $$$ before retirement. Smiley He earned $8M last year with the Kings and $2.4M contract this season with the Hawk. That was a decent one for a veteran and no need to played more minutes on the court.

Dirk Nowitzki I believed wants to retire now but he is closed in getting another record, to surpass Wilt Chamberlain in NBA All-Time Scoring. Currently he has 31,183 pts and Wilt has 31,419. It's now within his reached and this season is enough period to reached the goal.
7843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose a good casino among the many others? on: August 31, 2018, 05:15:06 PM

But i want to ask, what if the casino is young (website is less than 2 years old), but you like it, would you try the game to test their honesty?

It will now be based on how the website performed in span of 2 years.

Some of the references might be:

Did they able to achieved some of the gamblers expectation?
Did they managed to build up a community?
Did they managed to run the site without any major problems?

2 years span is enough to test the honesty of the site. However in my case, if those references above are not met but I really want to try the game, then I will risk a small amount for first try.
7844  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: August 30, 2018, 11:38:44 PM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.

It will not happened even for a decade. Don't worry.

Most people here just expecting too much without looking at the reality and the massive effect of it.

Crypto will grow more but fiat will still be there.

This will take a long discussion so I will leave a simple statement first.
7845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose a good casino among the many others? on: August 30, 2018, 11:08:05 PM
~snipped~

My criteria:

- It should be popular and already established a good name in crypto gambling industry. In case of new ones, I will wait for it to grow first or if there's something that attracts me, I will play with the risks.

- Fair and square

- Good interface and user friendly.

- Smooth , clean and no lag.

- No sh*t registration. Email, Password should be enough.

- Great trust approval by the community.

- Fast phase of deposit and withdrawal.

- Quick support response. This will be based from community response.

Trust is really hard to achieved so I guessed a popular ones will not waste their effort to make their site popular. Meaning choosing a reputable one will minimize the risks of being scammed*. No assurance that everything will be fine at the end but it's way better to minimize the risks.
7846  Economy / Speculation / Re: $ 5,800 is the lowest threshold for Bitcoin in 2018! on: August 30, 2018, 09:49:28 PM
For now , that can be specified from the bitcoin price chart on Bitfinex available on Bitcoinwisdom. Bitcoin prices have fallen between $ 5,800 and $ 6,500 several times in 2018 but has never lower than 5800$ before it reachs 5800$ last year.
Source: https://blogtienao.com/5-800-usd-la-nguong-ho-tro-quan-trong-nhat-cho-bitcoin-trong-nam-2018/

We can't say it early but we have reasons to assumed on that. There are lots of attempts, negative speculations, FUD that passes by but we all see how bitcoin withstand the established price-low this year.

Should we called this as a bottom? Maybe yes Maybe no. Who knows in the first place.

What matters here is, we now sees even a bit on what price level should we consider the bitcoin's new bottom. That is a good reference for those who want to make an entry.
7847  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoins by paypal on: August 30, 2018, 09:27:42 PM
Hi

Will I face problems if I start buying bitcoins by PayPal in localbitcoins I know when I am the seller (receiver of money) PayPal will ask what i`m selling and may close my account but what if I`m the buyer( sender of the money)?

Analyze first all online offers (payment option) available at your county on LocalBitcoins and see if there's other method there that convenient to you aside from using directly your Paypal.

Since you want to use your Paypal funds, I will assumed your bank account was attached/linked to your Paypal then you may withdraw your cash from there. Then deposit your fiat to your local crypto exchange if any or to other available offers at localbitcoins (that's why I mentioned that you must analyzed first all options).

Lots of work but you can save fees here way better than a direct Paypal payment on which you also aren't sure if you will face problems using them.
7848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do Telegram PUMP GROUPS Scam Their Participants (INFOGRAPHICS) on: August 30, 2018, 08:39:19 PM

People just have to used their "common sense" in order to battle the freaking sh*t activity on the internet.

I've seen some newbies doesn't taking any bait so it means being a newbie is not really the reason why others fall on the scheme of pump groups.

Good work btw to your wonderful infographics.

7850  Economy / Economics / Re: What should we focus on more? Demand or Supply? on: August 30, 2018, 07:47:14 PM

We should actively encourage local merchants to start accepting bitcoins and then we should start supporting them. <No matter how low the price is>

Giving them a simple encouragement that they must add bitcoin to their payment method is not enough. It requires massive request. As soon as they don't understand how volatile crypto is, no way they can just accept bitcoin as direct payment. Local merchants must maintain a profit day by day so without understanding fully how bitcoin price moves, they will never risks their profits.

And since we are talking about "local" merchants here, the community around is one of the factors too. If bitcoin is not that popular on their area why they should add bitcoin as payment method? That's why they need to understand all things first about crypto in order to take the risks.

But prior to that, it really needs a serious global push for other countries to follow.
7851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there an App for price alerts, that makes noise when they trigger (an alarm) on: August 30, 2018, 06:58:57 PM
Hi there,
I'm currently spending way too much time either looking at charts or checking my phone to see if a price alert has been triggered on the crypto app i have installed.
Looking at LCD screens all day is really bad for your posture, it's not a good habit.

So I'd much rather have something that makes noise.
This way, instead of checking my phone every ten minutes i could just wait for a 'Ding' and then i check my phone to see what's up and if i need to do anything regarding buying or selling. I know stop-limits are a good way around micro-managing things... but it'd be nice to have a free service to give you a heads up when things are on the move.

Know any apps for android phones that make noise when price alerts are triggered?
Thanks,

Long time user of Bitcoin Ticker Widget here.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=st.brothas.mtgoxwidget&hl=en

Not just it have some alerts but since it's "widget" you can placed the monitoring directly at your home screen for real time price monitoring. Since you used your phone regularly then it will save your time opening the actual app. Even it's running on background, no such thing as it will deplete your battery fast or your phone will became laggy

But since this app doesn't lists all coins on my portfolio, my alternative is Blockfolio app on which the link is provided above by one of the responders here.
7852  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I can I predict the Dump and Pump of the price? on: August 30, 2018, 06:29:03 PM
Hi I want to ask how can I predict the Dump and Pump of the price of the market? How can I earn with the Pump of the price aside from hodling, trading, joining some bounty and how can I also earn with the Dump price in the market?

Changed that thinking, that is way more better.

You will soon understand.

How can I earn with the Pump of the price aside from hodling, trading, joining some bounty and how can I also earn with the Dump price in the market?

Just continue doing your usual activity and enhanced it while working on your way up.

... how can I also earn with the Dump price in the market?

How you can earned on a dump market? Obviously you can't but you can play with the price swing. It will need a practice though. If you are really eager to learned this, spend some time learning the fundamentals of doing day trades. It's difficult to learned on a first phase that's why you need more dedication compare to what you have right now in order to make it right.

It will take time but believed me, it's worth it.
7853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 30, 2018, 05:58:17 PM

Exactly. They see Golden State Warriors owning the NBA now but for me, I don't see it that way. Even last year that was the expectation but look how difficult it was for them to reached the finals. Even the 6th seeded Pelicans snatched a win to them via 19 points lead during playoffs so it means that Warriors also have holes. And now with the addition of DeMarcus Cousins, people are freaking out that Warriors will be the next champion again. Yes it's possible but let's don't close the doors to other teams.

~snip~
I'm not a fan of him but whenever there are old timers that are announcing their retirements I'm also thinking that I'm getting old. Too many legends are going to be added to the list as well. I don't want to see any more of these retirements.

Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter are I think the next ones. They aren't veteran. They are now oldies lol. 40+ age.
7854  Economy / Services / Re: Im looking for jobs here on: August 30, 2018, 05:35:34 PM
Im just new here and i want to look for something to earn as sideline. I can be a social media admin or anything. Please help. Thanks.

Talking about ICO projects (since they are the one who I always saw hiring people), based on my own view, some of the projects who hired people about being a social media admin must also handled being a community manager or handling mulitple tasks at the same time. And at most of the cases, social media admins is part of the project team itself so I rarely see some offers for social media admin alone.

But outside crypto maybe there is but since you posted that in a crypto forum, I don't know if someone here will hire you outside crypto business.

And your info is lacking. You must do some ways to let them come to you. Simple statement isn't enough.
7855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Big mistakes for a beginner in cryptocurrencies ✌ on: August 30, 2018, 05:01:32 PM

Without those mistakes, people will never learned. That's the reality. Even newbies will read that, most of them will not fully understand it because they didn't know the actual situation.

Let them learned the basic information and that's it. If they will experienced mistake on the way then so be it. Those mistakes will keep them more of a better crypto person that's why it's good if they will experienced the mistake in actual.

After all, as soon as they progress, they will now try avoid those mistakes in the future.
7856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 30, 2018, 04:32:25 PM
Another veteran retirement.

http://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/david-west-retires-nba-news-pacers-warriors-spurs-pelicans-hornets-xavier/h7rilycrr0tm1s33l1iow511q]David West retires after 15 NBA seasons

One of the good backup player of the Golden State Warriors. These guy have an overall 4 teams he played on his whole career and got 2 rings in his final 2 season with the Golden State Warriors (2016–2018). Unlike other players who earned their rings without effort*, we all know that West contributes much in Warriors so I will say that he really deserved those rings.

With the retirement of West, I think only 6 or 7 players remained now to that famous 2003-04 draft that is actively playing until now. If Im not mistaken.
7857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best crypto blogs? on: August 30, 2018, 04:10:45 PM
What are some of the best online sources to learn about crypto and bitcoin?

Google search then compiled the results.

In most of the cases, general information about cryptos that you will found on any article, site, blogs are all legit. You can also mixed up your search terms to "how to earn bitcoin" ; "things you need to know about bitcoin" or something like that etc.. Just asked the search bar what you want to learned. No need to be on specific site, articles or blogs as you are currently on exploring phase.

Im not afraid that you will fall on a shitty site in the first place even you are new to crypto thing. I believed you know how to deal with the "internet world".
7858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to pick a trading platform? on: August 30, 2018, 03:48:54 PM
Hi I am just new in trading I just want to know how do you pick a trading platform? I am so confuse on how to pick a nice trading platform also I want to know what coin should I start to used for my trading.

Since you are a newbie, choose a trading platform wherein already built a good reputation in the crypto world. Although no assurance that everything will be fine, by choosing a reputable* exchange, you are minimizing the risks of getting into fraud.

Now here's what to do to sort out things out. Do search of your concern on your favorite search engine then compile all the results. Compile each results including the feedback and description of that exchanges. Now since you posted here, also compile people's view about a certain exchange or you can used again your favorite search engine to find a related thread here in bitcointalk.

It's time consuming but it will help you to find what suits you. After all when time comes that you already built a good experience, you will now know how to play with multiple exchanges and play with the risks.
7859  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after several years? on: August 30, 2018, 03:12:43 PM
what do you think will happen on bitcoin after several years?
i expect that bitcoin will a more bigger continuities and maybe that we can use bitcoin currency in public like buying in a supermarket cause we alk know that technology in our world was growing in every second that's only what I'm thinking
what about your thoughts?

Your expected thing to happened is closed to reality and in fact we already seeing some merchants who accept a direct bitcoin payment in their physical store. We can surely see that the numbers will grow as years passes by. There are countries who does have a positive approach on cryptocurrency so we can expect that the practice of paying goods using our crypto in the supermarket is bound to happened.

But after all these positive speculations, we can't take away the fact that even for low chance, there is still a possibility that all our speculations will be spoiled. No one knows what will happened to the future so enjoy the current trend and take advantage of what bitcoin or any cryptos can gave to us.
7860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO this time, yes or no? on: August 29, 2018, 11:23:40 PM
.....If still road live for ICO or not?

Currently, some ICO's are still reaching their target softcap and hardcap* meaning there are investors who still want a piece of joining ICO's. It's just that during the exchange listing, price drastically turned into below ICO price because all cryptos are proned to volatility and fluctuations. There is also a big difference in the status of this year's market compare to last year's market where some projects got bloomed. Generally speaking, ICO is one of the beneficiary if bitcoin price is on peak.

Just wait for the expected bitcoin dominance again and surely you will see again an interesting happenings in ICO industry. It was obviously linked.
