Also, his replacement is the site owner.

I was enjoying the lolz on my new found status there. I knew someone would ruin it.  Tongue

You'll thank me if wetsuit ever decides to exit-scam Grin.
@broken record, that's pretty much right (TheQuin's quote). It's justified to reward your customers for their continued gambling.
7842  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 05, 2018, 03:36:23 PM
Lol I never saw an owner of a casino letting the gamblers know he will be on vacation and contact his replacement. This website is so cool man. I literally imagine guys who run this website is just dudes like us who sit in front of their pc and run it instead of some guys wearing suits and having meetings and write some stuff on whiteboards and all that corporate jazz Thats a huge plus for me.

Erm what? TheQuin had to say he was going on vacation otherwise someone would probably be petty enough to neg him (there's a lot of people who don't like this site).
Also, his replacement is the site owner.
7843  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: July 05, 2018, 03:16:00 PM
has it been confirmed the minimum deposit back to 0.001 btc?
Yes.

Minimal amount you can deposit is and always was 1 mBTC. If you deposit 3 mBTC you will receive 3 mBTC. Sometimes mining fees go so high we disable withdrawal of 1 and 2 mBTC.

I want to make 2 separate deposit txs (in 1 session) that totalled over 4 mBTC, but afraid to lose them all Lips sealed
I'm pretty sure that's possible.

That is possible, I'm fairly sure HCP said he did it quite a bit.
7844  Economy / Lending / Re: seeking 0.1 btc secured loan on: July 04, 2018, 11:53:23 PM
I can do this but I'd have the keep the coins on an exchange as I won't have any gas in eth for the fees (probably keep it on binance).
7845  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 04, 2018, 03:22:56 PM
@theQuin, for the site improements wetsuit wanted, could you add statistics timeframes for a certain period of time (like: today, this week, this month and all time maybe)? Just so we can see stats based on that period for wagering and lottery tickets etc.

What statistics do you have in mind? If you give me a bit more detail and I'll be happy to ask wetsuit to consider it.

I mean like the current statistics we have already but for a set period of time. As currently my account statistics range from 2015 to now, instead of being able to get monthly/weekly and yearly data on wagering amounts, wagering wins, free rolls, lottery tickets. etc.

I think it is hard for them to inplement this kind of thing, may be they can make it that simple like current wagered or may be lifetime wagered. To ask them get weekly or monthly data on wagering for everyone must be really hard. And btw they already have put lottery tickets weekly so there is no need for that. If you want that so bad, maya be you can ask wetsuit is to send the details towards your email

That was another thing, @thequin, is there any chance you can make the lottery files into a csv file instead of how it currently is because my computer can't parse them that well (or is there a way to import them into excel so they get read like a spreadsheet with || and | instead of , and /n)? (/n is a newline)

We have increased the MULTIPLY BTC commissions from 0.25% to 0.40% of the amount that your referral wagers! Refer more users to play MULTIPLY BTC and start earning big!
Interesting for those who have referred big players
I dont think there are much big players on the site. How ever I agree that there are a "lot" of small players.

So a person needs to invite more in quantity as compared to quality in order to generate profit as no whales will be interested to come here with 5% house edge because they can already find much lower house edge in other gambling sites.

5% isn't really that huge though. I mean it is quite rediculously high and 0.5% is better but all the sites with 0.5% house edges take investors and they don't give out stable commision, sometimes you earn, sometimes you lose it's just the luck of the draw.
Some people would probably play this site because they're less likely to win so when they do win it is worth more because the chance of them winnng is so much lower.

(dear moderators, this is public information please don't delete)

Why would they delete it?
Do you still have the old wallet app, as it will not sync with the new blockchain due to a copule of forks (there was one at 0.8.5 fore example that will make it impossible for your old version of bitcoin core to sync).
Does your wallet folder have a debug.log in it, could you post that in its entirety?

Finding the debug.log file:
1. If your folder with your bitcoin app has a blocks and chainstate folder then your debug.log will be in the same directory as your bitcoin wallet.
2. If not, go to C:\users\<username>\appdata\local\bitcoin or c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\bitcoin and the debug.log should be in one of these.

I know that the recaptcha can be a real pain for those who e.g. comes thru the tor network, so it was just an idea. I'm really curious about this bot vs. human thing...
I also know that before the recaptcha, it was possible to pay for captcha solvers to "skip" the captchas, but this has been ended with the recaptcha, I think, so bots won't be able to post if I'm right.
It's not even tor. I have to use my home network to log onto literally everything I go on using recaptcha so it takes ages to get the captcha to work.

And it is still possible to get round the recaptcha service it's just a bit more trickier and means you have to do quite a bit with the console so sometimes it's just easier to solve 40 captchas then send the code to it (unless you're using a bot).

- Just from this topic: "Prevent spamming and pump topic from new account ?" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4546636 , I would like to share my thoughts to prevent spamming and pump topic in Alternate cryptocurrencies section. A lot of mega thread in Altcoin Discussion & Speculation (Altcoins) that is only for spamming of signature campaign. Almost spamming and pump topic come from Alternate cryptocurrencies section, so I just share my idea here:

Agree, If you want to prevent newbie and Jr. Member from spamming and shit-posting, just make restricted on  Alternate cryptocurrencies section because all spam and pump is from Alternate cryptocurrencies section. Ex:
- Newbie: Only view/ Can't comment, reply/ Can't create new topic.
- Jr. Member without Merit: View & Can comment or reply 1 time/day
- Jr Member with Merit: View & Comment 5 times/day
- Higher rank: No restrict

It will encourage New and Jr. Member to contribute quality post for getting Merit.

We can adjust it to suitable for all Newbie and Jr. Member

It's slightly better than what's suggested on the other board, that other one is just stupid and we'd end up with a newbie posting "great project" enough time to fill space.

Code:
great project
great project
great project
great project
great project
great project
great project
great project
Or they'd go one step further and just add loads of emojis to the end of their posts.

I'd say:
- Newbie/Jr. Member without merit: Only view/ Can't comment, reply/ Can't create new topic.
- Jr Member with Merit: View & Comment 5 times/day
- Higher rank: No restrict

(disclaimer, as a newbie here, bounties were deleted "apparently" so we didn't use to have this issue as you always got redirected to other forums).
7849  Other / Meta / Re: Please get the TwitBook threads off the newbie board. on: July 03, 2018, 08:44:44 PM
The whole board should be trashed. A lot of the topics have nothing related to cryptos. The beginner's board is the paradise for shitposters. Damn these guys are really killing the forum. If it continues people will call the forum "kindergarten cryptos".

I have to say I probably agree with this now.
A lot of beginners who come here and want to learn about cryptocurrency take themselves to Bitcoin technical support or development and technical discussion instead of the beginners and help board (either they think it's more relevant to ask stuff there or they look at the front page of the beginners section and just think stuff doesn't fit well there because it's full of spammer posting).

...
I, personally, waste a lot of time to read useless posts, I read more shitposts than useful ones. Even AI bot could make more quality posts than them
Do bots really post here on the forum? I just can't belive that people can post so useless things in any topic...
What if we implement a recaptcha for e.g. a week, for every post? If it's only a week, I won't care much... This way we could analyze if it has any effect on the post count, so we could hopefully get the answer for the bot question...
If that happens, give me a heads up about a week before so I don't have to keep fiddling with the stupid recaptcha (I mean it's honestly not worth me being here if that gets implemented, otherwise there'll be a 12 hour delay on posts).

Edit: More lolz as the post I reply to changes before I could possibly reply.

Edit 2: This fuckwit as added yet another paragraph without acknowledging it. I guess he thinks he can get away with posting lies I won't see.
Happened to me yesterday with him, thought I was going crazy for a moment...

@broken, you use Edit to add edits afterwards if you do it repeatedly.

7852  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.2.0 won't accept my wallet file or my seed on: July 03, 2018, 02:08:42 PM
I've been playing with 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 (and now 3.2.2 Wink) and they all quite happily accept Abdussamad's 9 word seed... and some 11 word seeds generated with:
Code:
hcp@HardCorePC:~$ electrum make_seed --nbits 112
oak trial duty elegant tilt order hood strong decrease change lamp
hcp@HardCorePC:~$ electrum make_seed --nbits 112 --segwit
fruit agree spot category concert input moon host couple ride wait

It's all very strange that your seed is not being accepted... maybe try and update to the new NEW version of 3.2.2 Tongue

It got accepted in 3.2.1. I then loaded 3.1.3 and it worked, then 3.2.0 and it didn't again, all in the same folder. Not sure what the issue is. I'll just stick with this version as 3.2.3 might be out tomorrow Grin.
7853  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 03, 2018, 02:04:57 PM
Well according to Thequack,  bots always lose even if the house edge is 0.000000000001 or anything above 0 but he wont back it up by setting it that low to be proven wrong  lmao.  He doesnt understand that just because something is a mathematical truth doesnt make it a reality truth.  Some things would take so long that they would take longer than time itself (end of the universe as i believe creation of universe also created time).

I'm not sure about the creation of time thing. Time is a dimension added by gravity.
Mass produces gravitational forces (well it's more the property of a mass).
And mass is made by the conversion of energy to matter.

If something is mathematically true then it's true. You can get a superposition of truth and false but not the math becoming false.
7854  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [Guide] How to Create a Watch-only Wallet (for Electrum) on: July 02, 2018, 07:06:27 PM
I think you can also make a watch-only wallet by using the bitcoin address but you must choose "Import bitcoin addresses or private keys" then paste your bitcoin address and you can now have a watch-only wallet.

Anyway, it's still helpful and didn't know this method of importing watch-only wallet by using public master key.

It looks like a new feature, I used to use the import public or private keys function previously.

I assume the import addresses or private keys still allows you to import a xpub/xprv key in to them still along with this new method.
7855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Old laptop with Bitcoin Folder on: July 02, 2018, 05:40:51 PM
the date changed from 2011 to 2018 wallet.dat just this one changed .

Is that the date created or the date modified? what does it say at the top of that menu?

Try right clicking>properties>details/attributes and see if the date created is listed as 2011 as LoyceV said.

Backed it up already.
Is the date on the backup 2018 or 2011. Did you back it up before the reinstall - if so, there's nothing to worry about (there probably isn't anything to worry about anyway.

The 0 balance is probably due to your wallet not syncing yet, how far is it behind?

1. If you click File>receiving addresses is there an address listed there (should begin with a 1 in the table) - just as a test for whether the wallet file is corrupted or not.

2. In the bottom right of the screen is there a closed padlock?
7856  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 02, 2018, 05:06:19 PM
If you dont like to lose then you can anytime leave out and dont play gambling since no one do force you out to play. Business is business and dont interfere on what they do want to do.

In case you havent notice,  I DONT gamble,  I just create bots so that others can gamble.  I sucker others into gambling just like the casino, not the other way around lmfao.  The difference between myself and this casino is that they somehow think they are gods gift to people and are all angelic.  They are just as evil as every other scam out there (such as bitconnect).  Do you remember how every idiot in town would swear that bitconnect was "legit" when it was blatantly obvious that it wasnt.  Omg I made a fucking mint off that site's referral program hahaha.  I'm an affiliate person,  I let someone else do the scamming and I simply profit right along with them.  Simple.
Who's computer is your youtube live stream running from?
7857  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: July 02, 2018, 05:02:26 PM
I proposed this change to make this competition more fair, not to attack or to discredit the owner of the site. In my opinion, everyone should get a fair opportunity to win the prizes on offer and this should not just reward the whales and the people with massive referral networks. They already receive a reward bonus, when their referrals use the site.

Hope everyone else share my view on this?

The idea of the promotion is to bring more money in. The more money we take in the more we can give away. Just because the promotion isn't aimed directly at smaller gamblers, that doesn't mean they don't benefit from it.

I can't think of a better way of doing this without involving some sort of lottery (which we already have).
I mean a lottery style wywtem would have been nice as I've already given up on the competition since I don't even have 5BTC so definitely can't be near the top at the moment and I wouldn't gamble all of my money there.

it is nerd friendly Roll Eyes

Quote
I don't get this. I've just said to downgrad before 2.6 when the vulnerability is and you've said that that's a bad idea because between 2.6-3.0.4 then there's a vulnerability?
maybe i shouldn't have mentioned any version numbers. that was just an example that came to mind.
what i meant was that when you downgrade you are going back to all the bugs that has been fixed already and there have been quite a lot of them it is not just this vulnerability. for example if you back to pre 2.6 and receive a transaction containing SegWit your wallet will get stuck synching since it can not parse it.
or if you try paying BitPay by clicking their link you will be stuck on "Please Wait...." for eternity. and a dozen more small bugs.
Errr, so trying to prove a point about whether segwit addresses work or not, I may have opened an executable so old that my antivirus has damaged my computer and won't go away from warning about the old executable which apparently doesn't have a valid signature (though the new versions do apparently).

Still i am using Electrum 2.8.6 version and their is no problem in received bitcoin from any wallet as the sender is using the segwit compatible wallet address but i receive the bitcoin smoothly and even i am sending the bitcoin to other wallet and it is going smoothly. So i have not faced any problem in using it. But now i have installed the latest electrum wallet in my android wallet and it got installed smoothly. So now i can use the latest wallet in my android wallet without any problem. So now i am safe from all the old bugs in old wallet.

That's a good solution with using the version on your phone. It might not be so secure although it does use a 6 figure pin so you're probably fine with that. And as long as 2.8.6 still picks up segwit addresses and native segwit addresses then you're good.
7859  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum still to synchronize, 2.6.4 on: July 02, 2018, 12:18:20 PM
~

...or just type this in your address bar to force a reload from server Tongue
Code:
javascript:location.reload(true)
That's not very user friendly though is it?
~
Ah yes, it might be better to downgrade to before the error occurred unless you're definitely sure you know what you're doing.

downgrading is not such a good idea unless you are aware of what has changed in the version that you have. for example if you have 3.1.3 and downgrade to a version between 2.6 and 3.0.4 then you would be exposing yourself to a known bug that can endanger your coins.

I don't get this. I've just said to downgrad before 2.6 when the vulnerability is and you've said that that's a bad idea because between 2.6-3.0.4 then there's a vulnerability?

If he downgrades there are generally hardware and android fixes that are lost along with "minor bug fixes" that aren't really much of a miss and it's probably better than having something that could potentially get a command run on it to steal the users' coins.
7860  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 02, 2018, 11:14:00 AM
Well wetsuit has to appease his largest youtube influencers (like trevon james,  ya he someone u want pushing your service haha).  Even going with new referrals wouldnt change who is going to win.  How do you propose to beat someone with more youtube followers than god in 30 days?  Lol.  I cant wait to get to the end of this thing to hear all the horror stories of people getting raped.  Its going to be better than the horror stories of bitconnect,  like that one black dude in the car crying about the 30k he got scammed out of.  These freebitco threads are going to light up like a christmas tree with "omfg i lost 40btc and won 10 bux! shit is so rigged!"  Hahaha going to be fun,  i have the popcorn ready to roll. Im wonering if the king of scams makes a video about freebitco (trevon james).  He was a huge promoter for freebitco because of the referral income right up to the very day that he went to court for fraud.  Since that day....... not a peep about freebitco lol.  He still does videos on his personal channel but his main channel has been silent since that court date.

I think only the whales and largest yourtubers have a chance at this.  The youtubers wont have to lift a finger and the whales will just make 2 accounts (a main and a referral of the main) and snipe the top 10 at the end with 1 roll or maybe a couple at most.  The real winners will be the youtubers though because they put no capitol in like the whales will have to do.

Mate, you sound like a broken record. Are you using this thread to bump your Youtube views? I proposed this change to make this competition more fair, not to attack or to discredit the owner of the site. In my opinion, everyone should get a fair opportunity to win the prizes on offer and this should not just reward the whales and the people with massive referral networks. They already receive a reward bonus, when their referrals use the site.

Hope everyone else share my view on this?

I absolutely share your sentiment on that. Indeed he is promoting his Youtube video in his signature in hopes to get more views. When I looked at it 2 minutes ago, there were 2 current viewers, 9 likes and 2 dislikes. Not that much of attention, considering it was published almost a month ago, so it doesn't really work for him.

What I personally like about this situation is that it's showing that FreeBitco.in has acquired such a good reputation that it can't be damaged even a bit by attackers, no matter how pestilent and obnoxious their actions might be.
That video isn't very clear either. You can't really tell what it's doing, you should try just having the command line and the site or the site and the graph instead @broken.
And if there's only 9 that's not done so well, one was me, one was you, one is probably him?
