The "from for" was the odd message, but not on your bot.
He is probably testing some stuff.

But as I recall seeing the message from this morning saying that you 2 could collaborate, I assumed some playing around had been done.
I think he made his bot with PHP (or at least I assume), while mine is done with Node.js. I also tend to make a lot of critical changes pretty fast so I'm not sure how that would work. Thankfully, I'm testing a lot of stuff to avoid breaking the bot every couple of hours. Cheesy

I really hate the forum on the phone....
Me too... the idea of creating an open source mobile app for the forum already crossed my mind (I only wish the forum had an open API..). We can only hope for Epochtalk to come. Smiley

Now back to extracting a few GBs of files and running it through an custom parser.
7842  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 19, 2020, 03:21:03 PM
have you guys started merging both bots?
Well, I have increased the time between each merit scraping and now there is a lot more users than before, so it takes more time (reasoning in the change log). Usually it doesn't take more than 5 minutes for the merit notification to come. Mentions are still quick, though.

I've just received the merits notification on giamancciatos first, with some cryptic message before yours
What cryptic message? Tongue

I'll go back to improving the bot but in currently trying to use Loyce's post data on this bot's side project (http://posts.ninjastic.space/). Right now, starting to scrape his 2,5 million .html files to insert in my database. My HD almost froze for a moment. Cheesy

Grin

I mean bbcode tags.
A list of things that should work imho, and any combination of these.
Thanks a lot. I just pushed an update that should fix 99% of those issues.

Now, you should get notified for those:
Code:
asche
[b]asche[/b]
[s]asche[/s]
[u]asche[/u]
[i]asche[/i]
[b]@asche[/b]
@asche
@asche?
asche?
asche's
asche,
asche!
asche:
asche...
asche;
asche]
asche)
asche}
=asche
asche=

But not those:
Code:
asche2
aasche
[b]asche2[/b]
mustasche
aschepody
mascherine

Sorry if you got useless notifications before. That's really not what I want to happen.
7846  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 19, 2020, 08:41:26 AM
Ok, this shouldn't be happening in this case. You should only get notified if someone writes your exact name (asche, @asche, Asche) and not mustasche or something like this. Sorry about that.

If you chose to mitigate that issue, you should also think about keeping notifications for tags.
You mean, @asche?
7847  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 19, 2020, 08:19:58 AM
Hey TryNinja, I thought I'd try your bot after using giammangiato's Smiley

One things irritates me, and I believe people with simplier nick's will get even more of these.

Every time someone posts a word containing my nick I will get a notification.

Lately it was Italian, but it could be German as well. Best idea would be to make rules to notify 'nickname + {, ; . ... 's}' etc but not with any string after/before the nickname. That would avoid any false positives.
Hey man, can you give me some examples? I can add some strict mode which would make harder to get notified with those fase positives. For names like mine, the way it happens right now it’s probably the best, since I don’t miss anything (every single TryNinja gets me a notification). But I can understand how this can go bad if you have a name that is a common word.
7848  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 19, 2020, 12:42:21 AM
You mean to say, that I will be able to ignore any notifications or mentions from specific members I choose (If 'he' mentions me - I receive nothing)?

I would like to see that very much.
Yes. And in specific threads.

For example, you just don't want to get notified when X mentions you, so you add him to the ignore list and the bot will just ignore his post. Or, you don't want to get notified when a user posts his weekly/monthly analysis data that has your name on it, so you can add his topic to the ignore list. The bot will also just ignore it.
7849  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 19, 2020, 12:32:07 AM
What I noticed in start that it had a bit slower reply when I registered my name and UID
I just released an update that should help with that. Now the scrapping logic has its own node process, separated from the bot logic. This should make things a bit more responsible.

I will also work in some extra logic to make sure the bot doesn't miss posts in cases where the forum goes down or there is any connectivity issue. E.g: Just got a few getaddrinfo EAI_AGAIN errors from the requests to the forum, which would make the bot stop scrapping posts until I restarted it. Thankfully I noticed it as it happened and deployed a small fix that will make sure it keeps trying to get new posts (however, it can still miss a few ones right now, if the error keeps happening for some time).

Tomorrow, I will work in the ignore users/topics feature.
7850  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin address balance checker. on: May 18, 2020, 09:02:51 PM
I need to expand the story a bit.
Are there any tools with transaction notifications? Email, Telegram or whatever notification when balance changed?
I use something on Etherscan for Ethereum changes, but it will be fine if there any tools for Bitcoin addresses.
There are. Not from me, though.

I always used @MagnumNotifierBot (Telegram) for that. They support a lot of coins and send you a notification every time you have an incoming or outgoing transaction from a tracked address.
7851  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: VOTAÇÃO - 1º Concurso Luso-Brasileiro de Artes do Bitcointalk on: May 18, 2020, 08:47:58 PM

Thanks. I was about to post this here. I was just waiting for a potential explanation from the user.

Just for reference:

The user admits that he owns the "read.cash" account @phabulu (the translation is in red).
Are you this user or did you copy his art?
https://ibb.co/xszYj2F
https://read.cash/@phabulu/bch-reached-the-moon-and-above-drawing-1e01d240

Yes, it is me. I folded the paper, wrote my read.cash @username and changed the thematic since that community is about Bitcoin Cash.

Edit:
Translation in red.

Anyways, it was good to be here. I distributed my merits around and that's it.

E agora o pior de tudo: Phabulu plagiator Ban evasion and all his alt accounts

His Alt Accounts:

1. phabulu (BPIP)- Banned
2. galahads (BPIP)- Banned
jujubax  (BPIP)- Banned
galahad_s (BPIP)- Banned
5. pirate hunter (BPIP) ?? unbanned ??

É a mesma pessoa...

Então é melhor me abster.
7855  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: VOTAÇÃO - 1º Concurso Luso-Brasileiro de Artes do Bitcointalk on: May 18, 2020, 06:44:00 PM

@rdluffy
7856  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 18, 2020, 03:50:36 PM
I translated into Indonesian for your bots, can I send it to you?
Yes, just send it to me through PM. Thanks for the help!

Few questions:
1. How many alternative nicknames can I add
Right now, only 1. I can do some tweaking to allow more later, but right now I believe this is enough for most people.

2. How many topics can be tracked maximum
There is no limit. But also there is no pagination when you check your topics list, so depending on the number of topics you are tracking, it may not be as user friendly as it should if you want to check them or remove one from the list (lots of buttons). I have some improvements for that later.

P.S. Translation of your topic into Russian: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5249071.0
Thank you! And to everyone who is helping me spread more about the bot and translate to other languages. Smiley

Right now, I'm doing some refactoring in the code and making it more stable, but I already have a few features planned for the short term. Next one should be: Ignoring notifications from certain users or topics.
7857  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: May 18, 2020, 06:01:41 AM
Can you please write what response you got from chipmixer for our further reference. It's a reputable site and I m sure there support will help you in finding your coins. Just let us know there response. Thanks.
The transactions probably already got confirmed since the mempool cleaned out a bit to the 3 sat/byte range. Edit: Or that would have been the case if it wasn't for CM's fast support (OP's post bellow). Great to see that. Smiley

Last time something like this happened, ChipMixer bumped the fees of their unconfirmed transactions:

Today upon creation of chips, one transaction got delayed because mempool grew up quickly. It left our transaction with much lower fees than others and all new transactions had higher and higher fees.

We have bumped the fee for it and it is confirmed now. Please check your wallet. Private keys are already imported so Electrum should notice confirmation. If that's not a case, try to recover session using session token and reimport keys.

If you still have a problem, please contact us by email and provide deposit address and/or session token, we will help.
7858  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: VOTAÇÃO - 1º Concurso Luso-Brasileiro de Artes do Bitcointalk on: May 18, 2020, 03:39:48 AM
7859  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 18, 2020, 02:43:29 AM
Op can you add 'replies to op' notifications as well, so far none of the bots seems to have this feature. It may sound stupid but when you have many threads created it becomes kinda cumbersome to keep track of replies on all of them.
You mean, notifications when someone post in a specific thread? Because we already have this (/topic and /topics command).

For example, you didn't quote me in your post, so I shouldn't have been notified... unless I was following this thread already.

Edit: seems tracking topic seems to do the same, just little problem is that you have to add your threads manually, could it be done that when user subscribes to bot it automatically adds authored topics in tracking list?
I think that would be a bit too much. I prefer to give the users the option to choose what they want to get notified of.

Grin
