I'm thinking ot trying to use a remote blockchain as the base for a new pruned node, and I hoped that this would avoid the need to download the whole chain. Is there a way to do this?
If you take out the whole Bitcoin data folder then there's no reason it shouldn't providing the chains don't become corrupted on transport.
7862  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.2.0 won't accept my wallet file or my seed on: July 02, 2018, 09:58:53 AM
The 11 words isn't the issue. When I put it into a wallet on my mobile or a wallet on my computer in an older version for both then it gets accepted.

I'm not sure there's a way I can prove it though Smiley. However, screenshots don't usually cut off words when they all fit in the box. It has bech32 addresses and was generated by 3.0.5.

@pooya, wordlists are fine in that version.

I obviously put them in the same folder (Downloads) so that shouldn't cause an issue. I should try the choose wallet thing though, that might work.
7863  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum still to synchronize, 2.6.4 on: July 01, 2018, 09:38:32 PM
Who told that old version don't sync I am also using and it is perfectly workings. The latest version is having problem to install as it asking some files to download.

There are a few syncronisation bugs with the old versions that were discovered and fixed in the newer versions. Not to mention the JSON RPC vulnerability that was discovered.
ya I know that their is some problem in spectrum 2.8.3 version but if you are using with password then their is no problem. I tried to install latest version 3.1.3in windows 7 but their is!some problem and not installing even when I updated my windows with latest update. And now the latest version I am seeing is 3.2.1in the site

Ah yes, it might be better to downgrade to before the error occurred unless you're definitely sure you know what you're doing.
If your wallet is fully encrypted, a json rpc command can still be run on the "send" tab to change the address/amount/fee fields.

Oh, I thought I was dead already - before the war?

not yet, you are very useful to prolong the agony of america, as long as you defend the clinton rapists gang, any so called recovery in the usa is just fake, so you are useful for now. but once usa becomes irrelevant in the mainland, from lisboa to shanghai, south and central america are liberated, and the american collapse accelearte to the point of the kids in the ships will want to sail home to defend their families... then the invasion can happen, and at this point if you survive you will be useless as a a dead racoon.

Your plan seems to have a large amount of dependency of me being in the US (which I'm not and I have no reason to be there either).
7865  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Research on Satoshi Nakamoto identity on: July 01, 2018, 08:15:56 PM
~

Isn't it possible that they could have just shared accounts/compputers at some points in writing stuff up on Bitcoin.

I mean Gavin and Satoshi both were involved in preliminary creations of bitcoin so it is possible that they both have just contributed to the same articles/publications.
7866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Connection between only two peers on: July 01, 2018, 08:04:21 PM
Hi, I have a Bitcoin Full Node in my network. If I want to setup a new full node on my network I can tell my new node to download the chain from only this node. But can I tell my main full node to share only with this peer ? (It will be a tempoary thing until the second node is fully synced). Because downloads inside a Local Network are xtreme fast.

Why not just copy across the blockchain and then you don't need to use your internal network to download anything.

You could also try wiring both nodes to your router if you want to do this download a bit faster and then they can listen to each other at a much faster speed.

How did it take you over a month to come up with that.

I mean SERIOUSLY?

can a builder win a war?
Probably

can you really love if you don't know hate?
Yes, you merely have to witness hate.
It's not like you either love or hate people, there are people I like and people I am fairly indifferent to.

and your life will end in an instant once your gang is removed from life.

Good. If it is a crime not to hate without knowing someone, then, enjoy the war, you deserve it.

7870  Other / Meta / Re: Why was my thread moved to "Off-Topic"? on: July 01, 2018, 03:50:48 PM
I'm really not sure why we need these threads. If you want to merit posts then give users merit but people shouldn't be creating giveaways for it.

We could say the same about the report to moderator link though couldn't we? Why can't moderators just find all of the posts that users post agaisnt the rules instead of asking users to report posts - it's difficult to go through an entire forum of data and find posts worthy of merit when you get a small amount of posts that are worthy of merit.

@Bill gator, many users add a charge to their service just for the processing of the merit requests they recieve. The minimum amount you can send on the bitocin network is 30k sats which isn't that much to ask just to fit the criteria for it to remain where it is.

I don't know what the answer is to this thread moving. I've had a few threads moved to TwitBook spam boards that I have on ignore. My solution was to host a domain, and then I can post the information there, and link to it from Bitcoin Talk.
I'd suggest putting them in ivory tower/serious discussion once they get moved instead of doing something so drastic (we'll end up with hundreds of websites with content on them all useful and which could be contained here).
7871  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum 3.2.0 won't accept my wallet file or my seed on: July 01, 2018, 03:20:54 PM
So my seed is 11 words which is probably a bit unusual for electrum to understand however, I did have my wallet file (encrypted).
I kept my 3.1.3 portable executable and loaded up my 3.2.0 executable and it wanted me to start generating wallets from scratch by 3.2.0, but 3.1.3 accepted the wallet, not sure if anyone has the same issue.

I also put my 11 words into the generate a new wallet and it didn't let me pick next or do anything - which is even stranger.
7872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain download is confusing fast on: July 01, 2018, 12:52:36 PM
Hi, I started a full node 20 minutes ago. I forwarded port 8333 tcp and the download is very fast. After 20 minutes I was at block 135100  Shocked
I download around 300 blocks per second is this normal with a 400Mb/s Down and 40Mbs Up connection ?

Yes, It goes amazingly fast to start with and then botttlenecks from about the time I starated (2015). The last years' worth of blocks are really slow also.
Your computer is fairly fast though as it seems so it shouldn't take you longer than a few days to get the entire blockchain.
7873  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum still to synchronize, 2.6.4 on: July 01, 2018, 12:09:28 PM
You can't do either on a "mobile" browser Wink  Hence my comment about the mobile data provider. I was at work and was using the Chrome browser on my android device... which, btw, is still showing 3.1.3 Roll Eyes Apparently, it's quite difficult to get Chrome on an Android device to actually "force refresh" Undecided
I use chrome on android:
1. Click the three dots
2. Then hit the refresh button.

Alternatively:
1. Zoom out fully on the website
2. Swipe down on the actual webpage from the top to the bottom.

If these don't work:
Go to History>Clear Browser Data>on the dropdown select "beginning of time">and uncheck "browsing history" and "cookies" so only image and file cache is listed there.

You spend way to much time on electrum's website if it manages to cache itself in your browser Smiley.
7874  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum still to synchronize, 2.6.4 on: June 30, 2018, 11:48:26 PM
not only it's too old of version but it also has JSONRPC vulnerability
you should immediately upgrade to the latest version Electrum-3.2.0, or you may lose your coins
read the sticky Vulnerability discovered in Electrum 2.6 to 3.0.4: please upgrade

Also, newest electrum version is 3.2.0
Where do you see that? Huh

Official website only has 3.1.3: https://electrum.org/#download
It's showing "Latest release: Electrum-3.2.0" on the official site for me too
It shows 3.2.0 for me also.

and hcp is right about the segwit/native segwit addresses that can't be understood as easily by the older versions.

Something is kinda amiss here. I started with a target of 160k Satoshi to be wagered in MULTIPLY BTC in order to reach the status of FREE BTC without Captcha, did a few wagers in Martingale fashion and I've won well over 4k Satoshi. To my surprise the requirements increased to 190k Satoshi.

Can someone clarify this situation?

Where was this written could you take a screenshot of where it actually says the 160/190k Satoshi?

It's below the Deposit and Withdraw button - "REQUIREMENTS TO UNLOCK BONUSES"

Have you done free-rolls since then without having to do the captcha or having to do the captcha, that could be making the value of the amount you need to put in increase in order to remove the recaptcha.

You crack me up Cheesy  So tell me,  just how am I attempting to scam wetsuit anyway?  I dont get it.  If my bot uses HIS service,  how do you think he's being scammed?  hahaha.  HINT:  No it has nothing to do with free rolls or captcha or any of that non-sense.  My bot is for the dice game.  It does not help users create 100s or 1000s of accounts to do nothing but free rolls LMFAO.  Those are the bots that he's battling because they pose the biggest threat to HIM.  He doesnt give to shits about the bots that use the dice game because he knows that the game is rigged in HIS favor to begin with.  You're really missing something upstairs arent you Smiley
TBH, why would I click your link anyway? I mean for all I know it's one of those bots that just reap the rewards of free rolls or an ad for your service somewhere. And why do you have so much of a problem with the site if you gamble on it anyway - slightly hypocritical?

BTW even those multi-account free roll bots are not a scam btw.
Yeah it kinda is
A scam means that you purposely tell someone one thing and then do the complete opposite or something different from what you told them behind their back without their knowing it.  That's what a scam is.
That is sort of what those bots are doing.

You are confused.  This IS my leisurely time Smiley  I do this for fun.
Trolling?

My day job more than pays for itself and what I spend in leisure time.  See,  my leisure time is somtimes spent doing something that could potentially make me more money because that to me is fun.
Like the gambling you're so against on this site, I get it now...
In case you havent noticed,  you should check my signature.  It's better to spend my fun time in a forum than it is anywhere else Wink
No I think everyone has noticed how you're trying to scam wetsuit by now, it's just that no one really cares to much about you to do anything.

BTW you have an error in your code.  I fixed it for you Smiley  Now we know why you're so confused.  You need help with not only math but life skills as well.

IF (24hrs + 12hrs) <= (job_time + job_money)
THEN Leisurely activities can take place for 11hrs or less
ELSE
THEN We need a new job
FI
So, my code has an error so you added more errors.
You might want to make a table of variables for the job_time and job_money variable is that in hours and dollars, what term is the job_time alos is that per day? Smiley
7880  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 30, 2018, 04:55:05 PM
Thats right,  my time is better spent entertaining myself on a forum than it is entertaining myself on wetcraps sorry excuse for a casino Smiley  Maybe if it was worth my time I'd spend more time using his site,  but its not,  so here we are lmao.
You should've had this enlightenment a couple of days ago then you would already have gone and spent time doing things that are more profitable.

BTW,  "Slow" insinuates time.  And since we know that time is money,  you're statement that it's profitable is therefore false.  Time is money,  Money is time.  So if the money isnt enough to justify the time spent,  it's a waste of time.  If its a waste of time,  it's a waste of money.  If you're wasting money,  you're not being profitable.  Therefore it's NOT profitable no matter how long you spend rolling because you could have been doing something else thats more profitable.  Therefore,  the free rolls are not profitable Smiley

What happens when you roll? Mine rolls immediately so it is not slow.
The server response time is quite slow which could be improved but other than that it's not that slow.
Since you like programming.
IF time == money
THEN Leisurely activities would not be done and we would live a very sad life.
ELSE
THEN We'd live as we do.
FI

Maybe if you have an issue with this site you should find a leisurely activity you enjoy?
