Thanks for looking after us Theymos. I guess the password changes were another clue. Smiley
7862  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: small blocks actually making it harder to run a node? on: May 07, 2017, 04:40:57 PM
Smaller blocks with shorter generation times would solve this. This would be a better solution that creating monolithic blocks that may not be filled.
7863  Other / Meta / Re: What is the Contact Information For BTCTalk Legal Dept. on: May 07, 2017, 03:26:56 PM
25% per annum to give clean water to people who can't afford to pay for it seems a bit high to me. Where does the income come from?
7864  Economy / Digital goods / BitcoinLocations.com on: May 04, 2017, 10:59:33 AM
BitcoinLocations.com is for sale - what a great name for listing Bitcoin ATMs

Available for immediate transfer through the NemeSilo market place.

Old men bring wisdom and stability to counter the recklessness of youth. Smiley
7866  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Q: How often do full nodes reboot? How often do they go offline? on: April 26, 2017, 08:48:28 AM
I've got two nodes. One is on Ubuntu, and I update every two or three days. The other is on Windows 10, and I update that daily. They are for personal use, so they are usually taken offline an hour or so after updating is completed.
7867  Other / Meta / Re: where to sell bitcointalk account legally? on: April 26, 2017, 08:41:57 AM
If you have multiple accounts, and the mods have linked them, then selling one could devalue all of the others. It could also damage your reputation.
7868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Block support at 50% on: April 22, 2017, 02:12:01 PM
I think Unlimited will go to the Moon, and Bitcoin will stay as a down-to-earth stable system. Don't forget that the Moon needs the Earth to maintain its position in the Solar system.
7869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Am Still Not Voting for Segwit? on: April 20, 2017, 10:46:33 AM
SegWit and blocksize are two different issues. SegWit offers lots of advantages, and should be activated asap. Bigger blocks turn the Bitcoin delivery van into a lumbering articulated lorry, what is required is a rapid Bitcoin motorcycle delivery service with smaller faster blocks.
7870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: April 19, 2017, 09:01:23 AM
Just ignore them and move on. If you talk them into trying Bitcoin, then they will get it wrong, and just promote uneducated and bad publicity. It's like people who think Britain should stay in the moribund German Union (EU). It's so obvious that they are wrong, but they've got some myopic personal concept that prevents them from seeing it.
7871  Other / Meta / Re: Likes and dislikes on Bitcointalk? on: April 19, 2017, 08:54:28 AM

I like the site's appearance with no logo, no customization, no social media accounts.

I don't like account sales, and sig spammers. Also, I think the massive emphasis on gambling, and other sites that promote services that the general public will relate to ponzis, frauds and other undesirable practices doesn't help Bitcoin acceptance.
7872  Other / Off-topic / Re: Smartphones are vital to bitcoin growth on: April 17, 2017, 09:05:56 AM
Do we really want a massive upsurge in small transactions clogging up the system, and pushing up transaction fees?
7873  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What happens when a node goes offline for a while? on: April 16, 2017, 10:41:31 AM
I don't understand the question, sorry guys. I'm often offline for a day or so, and I just start up core, and it re-sync's without any problems. Should I be doing something else other than just starting it up normally?
7874  Other / Meta / Re: BitCoinTalk tale of woe!!! on: April 15, 2017, 08:46:01 AM
Another one saying thank you. I've made sure my secret question is so secret that it written in invisible typing (ie. blank). Smiley
7875  Other / Meta / Re: How i add photo to post on the forum ? on: April 13, 2017, 09:19:02 AM
If you want to edit the image, then it is better to crop, resize or sharpen it on your machine before uploading it.

Irfanview is a handy free tool to do this.

7876  Other / Meta / Re: How can I be called a Spammer? on: April 13, 2017, 09:14:24 AM
I guess the real question is - why do you want to post every minute?
7877  Other / Meta / Re: Hey bitcointalk can you stop infringing on freedom of speech? on: April 12, 2017, 10:04:31 AM
This is a private forum. There is no guarantee of freedom of speech, and there are forum rules. There's a 100% chance that your post was deleted because you broke forum rules, not because your opinion was against that of the forum admins.

What he said. I've had posts deleted because people don't understand English humour as well. That's probably as a result of taking the "u" out of it. Smiley
7878  Other / Meta / Re: Adding sub-sections at the Digital goods section on: April 10, 2017, 05:30:29 PM
I'm all for a section where people who accept Bitcoin as payment for domain names can list their names. Especially if registration services spam can be kept out.
7879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if someday the network internet totally dead . on: April 10, 2017, 05:23:23 PM
It's more likely that we will cut down all the trees and kill ourselves.
7880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain powered internet? on: April 10, 2017, 05:21:38 PM
Internet packets have always been chained, otherwise they couldn't be reassembled.
