7901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: June 02, 2017, 05:05:48 PM
Just curious, since the Internet is mostly an Earthly thing... would astronauts be able to access and transfer their Bitcoins whilst traveling throughout the solar system?

I don't think the internet is only an earthly think. Space travel involves the use of the internet too. But first before we ever think of getting Bitcoin to space, let's ensure that it has got a wide acceptance here on earth with various countries adopting it as legal tender.
7902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing? on: June 02, 2017, 07:42:48 AM
I want the next big thing to be the altcoins that I am holding in high volume..Doges and Litecoin... Wink. Of course who wouldn't want that. It will be really a blast when dogecoin finally picks up.
7903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: June 02, 2017, 06:14:13 AM
ATMs and credit cards both have fees (I believe you are joking). It may have zero confirmation time but It's possible to chargeback and get scammed. Lightning Network should give us the ability to make micro-payments and without waiting for confirmations too. Banks control your money, you don't. I see no reason on why fiat is better than bitcoin.

Spot on! Bitcoin should be better in the future when many countries endorse it as their currency of use. The only reason that makes fiat better than Bitcoin now is the low spread of use and acceptability. It's easier making transactions in Bitcoin than fiat.
7904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin even have a future? on: June 02, 2017, 02:03:37 AM
Yes, regardless of being a fan of BTC or not, BTC is a convenient tool that cover certain needs for the users, it has a nature like Forex trading in a way and is very convenient to send payments particularly to other countries without paying high fees like WU and bank wire.

Yes, I agree with you about the ease while sending or receiving bitcoin. However, to own a bitcoin account is within minutes as there isn't much documentation but forex trading account takes a lot of process.

Anyway, I am more concerned about the excitement Bitcoin brings to the world than its price level. I can't wait for more countries to adopt it as their official  legal tender.

Thanks, that was very fast. I got paid.
7906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: June 01, 2017, 03:54:29 AM
Today many people rely on bitcoin, in the sense that they are now focusing on the world of cryptocurrency, leaving their jobs

Is there something like this, is there any special tips because i want to focus but not yet dare?

People will always look for a better alternative to their 8-5 pattern of job. And if this is provided with the Bitcoin discovery or with any of the cryptos, I don't think they will hesitate in picking it up. It's all for the money. That's what financial survival is about. OP, you can go ahead with your plan after weighing alternative and the freedom it is likely to afford you.
7907  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Invalid bitcoin address on: May 31, 2017, 01:49:56 PM
You may want to paste the address so the experts here will have a look at it to know what could have gone wrong. If you don't mind...
7908  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Online Shop that accepts BTC on: May 31, 2017, 12:20:13 PM
Anyone knows any online shop where they accept BTC? Looking for peripherals for my cellphone.

Such exist now. You can search out a guy called Lenny (username) on this forum. He did a comprehensive report on businesses accepting bitcoin sometime ago. I think it was done under the thread "local listing" or so.
7909  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where can I buy a car with bitcoin? on: May 31, 2017, 10:23:11 AM
it is not available anywhere Grin

Surely, there will be dealers accepting Bitcoin for their car sales. Especially in Europe. And the OP actually pointed to that bit that the company has closed shops now...

Check the OP on the first page for that.
7910  Economy / Services / Re: GET 0.001 BTC for SIMPLE REGISTRATION ! on: May 31, 2017, 04:43:12 AM
Just one more scam, another newbie trying to collect email addresses and of course never pays...

Be careful and don't waste your precious time.

This guy already has already negative trust for promoting ponzi SCAM. You 've been warned.

OP, isn't a Newbie. His rank is Member. Scam? Oh hell! It's a pure scam and people should keep off this task. However, what amuses me is the speed at which older members of this forum who should know better jump at scam tasks like this without having a rethink.
7911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin ever replace conventional money? on: May 30, 2017, 08:40:49 AM
For reasoning sakes! This will NEVER happen! Bitcoin can never replace fiat worldwide. If that were ever going to be possible, that means there won't be any measure to evaluate its worth as no fiat will exist, and all countries will have the same financial strength? Come on, this is a wild dream!

Even at the moment, there over 750 cryptos in the world and each trying to get as popular and useful as bitcoin. One of these altcoins may even become the Bitcoin of tomorrow, and Bitcoin already dead and forgotten. By the way, Bitcoin isn't even heard of or known in many countries if the world yet.
7912  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: May 30, 2017, 04:52:59 AM
Here is a tutorial for dummies about doubling our money and not Bitcoins with scam scripts, remember no one has your best interest in heart to help you double your coins, however there is this thing we call it Bitcoin and indeed you can effectively double your fiat money with it.

But how?

-Simple, whatever you have buy Bitcoin(s) and deposit them in never before used addresses and forget about them for literally 6 long months/half a year.

-Tip: don't pay any attention to news and don't participate in crypto related forums and social medias, it will drive you crazy.

-Result: after 6 months and after your phone alarm went off since you set it to ring in calendar for exactly 180 days, open your browser and go to one of the reputable exchanges and look at the market price, if your fiat money wasn't doubled if you were to sell your Bitcoins then find me and kick my ass for bad advice. :?

Please refer to the Bitcoin price and charts to see if the price did or did not doubled every 6 months.

I can't find anything remotely similar to this can you? and if so please share with us.

Edit:
Disclaimer:
This post was intended as a quick suggestion to double your fiat money and not your Bitcoin, any body telling and promising to increase the amount of your Bitcoin is either misleading you or tries to scam you, even legit interest paying companies have their own high risk of loss.

Only idiots gamble in hopes of earning money or double their money.

The edited part of your post  reminds me of fraudu bitcoin doubling sites like:
http://www.hellobtc.xyz/double.php?p=paid and http://quickbtc.click and other cloud mining sites and HYIPs. People should keep away from them and be safe.
7913  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: May 30, 2017, 03:53:48 AM
Sold 3000 btc within 2-month..

I am sure this dude will be filled with regrets now if he were still alive.

Anyway, karma is a bitch and we shouldn't lead our lives on hindsight. For me, I really don't know if I should say "worst mistake" because I am still new to Bitcoin and this just happened to me last month...I invested in these Bitcoin doubling sites: http://www.hellobtc.xyz/double.php?p=paid and http://quickbtc.click

Lol...of course I lost my meagre coins to the scamming sites.
7914  Economy / Economics / Re: Largest Bitcoin Address on: May 30, 2017, 01:54:02 AM
I think I found one of the largest Bitcoin addresses and the second largest. I'm probably wrong but it doesn't hurt anyone with me posting them here.

1st Largest I found: https://blockchain.info/address/19iVyH1qUxgywY8LJSbpV4VavjZmyuEyxV Over 5,264,776 BTC ($2.1 billion) received in total.
2nd Largest I found: https://blockchain.info/address/3KgtbGgaX2ngstNpvyv7LwpHSweVeqGbpM Over 4,139,869 BTC ($1.6 billion) received in total.

I think these are the largest total Bitcoin received addresses.
The 1st has received a third of all Bitcoins in circulation.
The 2nd has received just under a third of all Bitcoins in circulation.

Post your thoughts below and the ones you think have received the most Bitcoins in total.

Today is 30th May, 2017 and some transactions dating back to May 21, 2017 in the first link that I bothered to check are still not confirmed. It's almost 10 days and I still wonder why. Does confirmation really take that long?
7915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: May 30, 2017, 01:37:43 AM
as people prefer Bitcoin to escape taxes
This would affect a country's monetary system

I really don't think so. The government can still make users of Bitcoin pay taxes if it means to do that.

I guess Bitcoin isn't supported in most countries because its workings aren't even clear and to some that even have a grasp of it still think it's risky to be included in the financial system of their countries.
7916  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: May 29, 2017, 06:00:52 PM
Yes I think Bitcoin can improve the economy of a country, provided that country adopts its use. Once adopted, it becomes a crucial part of the country's banking and financial systems. Transactions will then be carried out on Bitcoin level which is easier compared to the hurdles in banks.
7917  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: May 29, 2017, 02:32:28 PM
We can't estimate the volume of people who use bitcoins in the earth in 2020. Even they have an statistic they can't know how long is the range of people knowing Bitcoin as currencies.

You are spot on!

Looking for an answer to this question the OP has asked is like trying to find a tiny needle in a warehouse stacked with hay. It's not going to be possible. Even at the moment, no one can actually tell the number of users. In 2020, we can only imagine the number based on perception. But then perception isn't fact!
7918  Economy / Marketplace / Re: question on money making guides on: May 29, 2017, 12:58:57 PM
I see all these money making guides on this forum,
but I wonder has anyone actually Ever made anything from these guides

Even though you didn't specify the guides, I take it that you meant some of the "get rich quick" guides advertised on this forum. On that, I will tell you that most of them are just hyped. You won't make much following instructions on them. And some are pure scam!
7919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: May 29, 2017, 05:39:33 AM
What this project does is invest peoples' money in Crypto?

You can invest in Dcorp and Dcorp will fund new initiatives, the return on the investment is going back to the shareholders of Dcorp. One of the initiatives is bringing derivates to the blockchain. That's never seen before on the blockchain, so you can hedge your positions if the markt  goes down, or you can profit more with trading in futures and options if you speculate on an upgoing market. You can even profit form price drops with this derivates.

https://www.dcorp.it/crowdsale#countdown

It really should be a good thing to actually have a bounty that pays with this altcoin.
7920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you enjoying the crazy Bitcoin price rise? on: May 29, 2017, 05:15:46 AM
I believe that the real greed comes from gambling because those who are holding their bitcoins right now, should be more then aware then It could either continue to raise or fall once again, It's an unpredictable market, so putting everything you got in BTC and simply hoping that you will become a millionaire isn't much of a good strategy.

You're absolutely right! The unpredictability of Bitcoin price makes it either here or there. Huge gains or huge loss. Nobody surely knows at any given time whether it's a bull or bear run. For days now price has been going down steadily from its recent height of $2,800 to about $2,200 now within just a few days. It may still go down further, then what happens to those who bought high?
