7921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ice Hockey odds mean nothing on: January 25, 2019, 09:05:49 PM
I want to share my personal experience with other gamblers, I have been betting on ice hockey low odds, only in two way bets including overtime and I have lost a lot of money with 1.16-1.3 odds especially in Russia Khl. I am a casual gambler and I base my bets based on standings and odds but how come teams with 1.16 do not win including overtime and lose to low ranked teams.

That's literally the truth from my experience on Ice Hockey betting too, I've placed bets on clear favorites with low odds and lost numerous times, most especially in the Russia's KHL and USA's NHL.. I've lost a lot on those league matches to an extent that I had to stop placing bets on them because I thought I have a bad luck, but after proper analysis I discovered there's more those fixtures than just the odds.
7922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Football Cup 2019 Discussion Thread on: January 25, 2019, 08:58:40 PM
UAE win just banged all my expectations and that's due the poor Australian performance , I said it before I don't like how both of these teams play but didn't expect Australia to be that bad and waste qualifying for the next

what I'm annoyed about the most is that I thought my outright for Qatar to be the best west Asian team won since UAE is the last other west Asian team
I still think that Qatar is better but now it's too much risk for me since surprises happen a lot in this competition , I may have to hedge and bet UAE to qualify to the final

now it seems that Iran is the clear favor to win it all judging but the qualifiers and how all of them played , I may take Iran to win the title if odds went to over X2.20

UAE was the surprise of the day tbh, and I think I can easily say Qatar will indeed make to the finals. I might even place a bet on them to lift the trophy now if the point is somewhat enticing.

I'll say Qatar vs Japan for finals.
7923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Football Cup 2019 Discussion Thread on: January 25, 2019, 05:23:21 PM
South Korea is one of the most strongest football team in Asia, they even managed to beat Germany 2-0 in the world cup held in Russia, I am pretty sad to see South Korea getting eliminated from the Asian Cup tournament, but Qatar did indeed scored an amazing goal from long range and I believe it truly caught the South Korea goalkeeper by surprise.

Yes! I said it, I knew this Qatar could do it and Indeed they made me proud and another whopping bet of 4.5 odds won Tongue
Let's just see how far they can go now, I tip them to make the finals.

UAE just scored in other fixture against Australia in the 69th minute. If they see it through then it will be UAE vs Qatar for the semis..

Out of curiosity, why do you need that info? I mean its only potential as you stated.
Since merit introduced activity lost importance.

There's no need to sweat it, he's signature has explained it all, I'd say.
7925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Football Cup 2019 Discussion Thread on: January 25, 2019, 10:36:27 AM
I did bet on Japan yesterday and won the bet, the odd was low 1.33 but I am happily playing this cup as the games seem to be going well for gamblers. I placed a bet on South Korea today as the odd was 2.1 at bet365 and was against Qatar, I have seen both teams playing and I think I will win this bet today too because South Korea plays better and have also beaten Germany.

The match against Germany in the World cup is as way back as 6-7 months ago, I don't think that should be taken in to consideration to analyze this fixture, Every knew germany was terrible at the World cup and even after the world cup. South Korea could only beat Germany buy never qualified from the group stage either.  This Qatar team should never be underestimated, and I wouldn't be taken aback should they win this match.

If they lose as well, I think this team should leave the stadium with their heads held up high because they've had a fantastic tournament in my opinion. I'm really backing them to cause an upset today!
7926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 25, 2019, 08:08:30 AM
Edit - Funny to see Spurs choke last night Cheesy
I'd have love to see them make it to the finals, maybe out of pity, but it is what it is.

With the injured list getting piled up for them, I think Tottenham chances of securing a top 4 finish is at stake, and the transfer window closes in less than 6 days, I doubt that'd be enough for them to make necessary signings. They've come long way all season and things are really just about to go south with them.  Angry

Tomorrow's pick
[/b]
Minnesota Timberwolves -1.5 vs L.A. Lakers  +1.5

Again, I will be betting against the LA Lakers since Lebron is still not playing, also Lonzo Ball had an ankle injury and he will miss this game.
Timberwolves are doing well and I don't mind if they are playing on the road as they just dominated the Phoenix suns on the road, and Lakers is just a little upgrade of Suns with the current line up now, therefore I will not think twice but beat on the wolves.

My Pick - Wolves -1.5 - Let's bank it again.

I'm definitely going to ride on this rollercoaster, I indeed expect the Timberwolves to pull this through but I foresee a very close affair here. The Lakers really needs to have James back, but I still don't know why he's not back yet.

I don't know what the true intentions of those doctored the pictures might be, but this is not legitimate news, Samsung has also officially denied the news and regarded it as rumor and speculation. I don't think there is much worth to debate on this.
7929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 24, 2019, 10:01:26 PM
Terrible from Monaco that is. You might say quite embarrassing behaviour. What do they expect after selling pretty much every player who made them good in that glory season. Everything was bound to go to shot.

Fabinho is gone
Mbappe is gone
Bernardo Silva is gone
Mendy is gone

Results are bound to suffer if you tear the backbone out of your XI.

Jardim suffered and was sacked. Henry was never going to produce miracles. I don’t know what they expected. You can’t make a gourmet meal out of shit ingredients.

Thierry Henry's sacking was inevitable IMHO, and I was already looking to hear the news way before now, Monaco's problem is definitely not Henry, the went a step far too much with their sales, and ignorantly never replaced them. The Irony about their situation now is that all the so called money they claimed to have made then might not be able to keep them from relegation.

Bad day... Japan won by a goal but the surprising thing is Iran beating China with three goals!
Tomorrow games are challenging too! I think Qatar and UAE have more chances to win, although Australia is a good team too  Smiley

Japan vs Vietnam fixture was predictable, I had Japan to win and total of under 2.5 goals, but as you've pointed out already about China vs Iran match, although I did not place any bet of that fixture as I wasn't sure of what to expect from the match, If were to place a bet on that match I'd have gone for under 2.5 goals which would have resulted in a loss.
7931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins That Do Not Depend on BTC Price? on: January 24, 2019, 08:39:38 PM
As far as I know there is no coin that doesn't get affected by the price of BTC. The best you can get is coin that doesn't gey drastically affected by BTC fluctuations in price. BTC is first cryptocurrency and as such all altcoins are related directly with BTC. Even BTC is always paired directly with almost all altcoins on exchanges or slightly indirectly with another coin that serves as a middleman.

Barca could be coming to an end of an era. Messi in his 30’s, Suarez also in his 30’s & slowing down. Messi has carried them for years, will they enter a period of transition now? Real are witnessing something similar with Ronaldo leaving.

That's not an overstatement, Messi will be the duly missed whenever he leaves, And Barcelona could make the best preparation for his departure by bringing the best out of Dembele and Coutinho, both players combined could try to fill in the void if taken with proper care, and I think Dembele will see a lot of development if should stay with club as it has been obvious that Messi has taken him fully under his wings.

Denver Nuggets +3 vs Utah Jazz -3

Utah Jazz loss against the Trail Blazers in their previous game, it was a close game but they weren't able to protect their home.
Tomorrow, they will be facing a good team also which in 2 consecutive wins with double digit dominating the Cavaliers and the Bulls, after they got dominated at home by the Warriors.

I'm thinking that Utah Jazz will bounce back and will not gonna allow the Nuggets to give them the 2nd straight loss at home.

Pick is Utah Jazz -3

Welcome back to the 60%+ winning rate, Let's keep it that way  Smiley

Good luck bro, if the Nuggets will win you are gonna make a good winning, are you betting on the +3 or the moneyline itself?
Line now is +4 for the Nuggets, that kind of movement is good for the Jazz and OP were able to take it early, so he got the best odds in the event his bet will win. Both teams have injured players who are not available tonight but they have their starters so it's going to be amazing to watch.

I am gonna keep an eye for the big man of both team, I hope they will explode in tonight's game.

Indeed, maybe odds was a tempting factor. but it wasn't the match I expected, The Nuggets only took the lead once all through the entire match and were just trying to keep up the points difference, and they lost the match from the 1st quarter

Plumlee got into a fight in the middle of the second quarter and got ejected. So their big center was out half the game and the jazz exploited it to the best they could.
That had its own effect in the match, maybe he could have made a difference if he was still in the match.

When Barca ask for players then price is raising same is when Real wants to buy or any other big club

Right, that is true but, I think the only reason why Barcelona paid that much was just to make they beat PSG and Man City to his signature.

I mean, we haven't seen him playing with Barcelona so it might be too early to say that he'll be another Andre Gomes. If he can adapt as fast as Arthur did (a player with no experience in european football), then maybe he'll turn out to be a decent signing, time will tell if he'll become a top player.

I guess I was just being too hard on him already. I actually like De Jong as a player, I was only disappointed in the Barcelona board for another unnecessary signing. You also acknowledged that Arthur has adapted well but still that has not been good enough to secure him a place in the starting xi, what then could we expect the fate of De Jong to be.

Tomorrow's advance Pick

Denver Nuggets +3 vs Utah Jazz -3

Oh, I guess here comes another fixture in which we'd have to bet against each other, I'm not sure as to why I'm backing Denver Nuggets on this on though but I'll be going for the Nuggets to win this match.

According to some spanish sites, the fee could go up to 86 million with some add-ons.

Is De Jong the new Xavi or Iniesta? is he really that good? It seems a bit a weird that Barcelona would pay almost 90m for a player that has less than 50 appearances with Ajax. Also, don't they have a bunch of midfielders already? Busquest, Rakitic, Vidal, Coutinho, Arthur, Aleñá, Puig, Sergi Roberto...it's good to have some options but damn...

Options be dammed! Really, I'd rather have them splash that fee on a young centre forward, than De jong, he lack experience in all ramifications and I'd not expect him to be slotted into Starting XI anytime soon, he'd lose the confidence in less than anyone can imagine with a great pressure that comes with playing in the Barca shirt, here comes another Andre Gomes from Barcelona board.

They paid so much because PSG was gonna grab him and Barca fans couldn't stand that so they paid the extra 15M.

He's good, he's shown lots of potential in the CL and with the Netherlands (a team who played very good games against France and Germany recently).
Barca is preparing the future. Rakitic won't stay forever. Vidal is a sub and Coutinho is more offensive.
Arthur and de Jong are young and could become very good players for them.
No need for Rabiot though.

Just the very same way they couldn't watch Roma have Malcom who's now supposedly a "loss" logically.
7937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 23, 2019, 06:53:23 PM

Batistuta (Batigol) was ‘THE MAN’.

I was young in the 90’s man but I remember seeing him banging the goals in, what a player. Would have loved to see him play for Liverpool. An old school type striker, awesome.

Right, I first heard of that name in the Korea/Japan 2002 Fifa world cup when he scored a goal for Argentina against Nigeria. I was born in the early 90s so I didn't know him that much until the 20s, but I had love a couple of players back then and Pavel Nedved was my favorite, I did like Jaap stam and Nesta too.

Vietnam against Japan tomorrow and as usual Japan the most favourite comparing to their opponent but Japan ML is not good option for me because the odds are far to decent however i was thinking to pick over 2.5 goals for this match

I think the Japan to win at full-time odds is of the best value @ 1.33 and I'd grab that, Japan has well won all the previous encounters between both teams, I'm not liking the over 2.5 goals idea simply because it's a knockout stage that I'd expect both teams to play with extreme caution.
7940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 23, 2019, 04:08:52 PM
We are in the last 8 days of the transfer window, and the deals are flying in already.. Mario Balotelli has signed a contract with Olympique Marseille until June, Higuain is in to London to complete Chelsea loan move while Piatek undergoes milan medicals.

Just in:
Barcelona have completed the signing of Dutch midfield wonderkid Frenkie de Jong from Ajax for €75 million.
That's an absurd fee IMHO, Just give Denis Suarez a chance, he's better than De Jong!
