7921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY IS SATOSHI NAKAMOTO NOT HERE TALKING on: May 04, 2020, 10:13:11 AM
It's probably for safety purposes why he/she/they remains anonymous or there must be something that happened which we didn't know.

But saying that crypto is backed by nothing then why there were talks about how much electricity is being consumed by the bitcoin network and even compared to a consumption of a well-known country.

It's timely that everyone is in their homes and I've suggested a link for the recent movies. But these are the movies that I've just watched recently which actually got a thumbs up for me.

The Shawshank Redemption
Extraction (2020 Netflix)
7923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: May 04, 2020, 08:52:03 AM
Both gambling and day trading are high risk for newbies, but it is not accurate to compare gambling with day trading. You will definitely lose gambling if you play every day but day trading depends on your ability and experience. For experienced people, they will earn more benefits and minimize the risk, it isn't entirely lucky.
Not just for newbies but for everyone. Even the expert in trading and gambling still feel the risk and you might misunderstand that it's easy for them to do that without taking caution of the risk.

High risk for both ends and there's fear whenever you do that. But if you get used to it and you're not leaning to your emotion anymore, that high risk can be set aside.
7924  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Ending of Covid-19 on: May 04, 2020, 07:27:51 AM
Just like the annual seasonal flu, Covid-19 will never end until a vaccine is found for it.
A lot of researchers, medical institutions, and scientists are working together to provide a vaccine for this virus. What makes me worried, yes, we can survive and overcome this virus.

But, what if another pandemic will come out of nowhere?  Undecided

I hope all the nations will be prepared if that time comes.
7925  Other / Off-topic / Re: Headset on: May 04, 2020, 06:54:44 AM
Maybe Razor? how many different headphones I had from this company did not let me down even once. Or look more "republic of gamers"  Cheesy

Razer has the best headsets int he market and the most endurable ones.
However, they are not the cheapest so the OP will not have the option for a low budget purchase. Personally, I have changed a lot of headsets. I prefer buying a more expensive one than buying a cheaper one.
Hehe, that's also what I've noticed and that should be Razer.

It is expensive but durability wise, it's not just a simple brand that you are paying for the name but the quality is. Buying a headset depends on how you will use it and I think, I don't think I'm in need of it. I'll go with the cheaper ones, we have local brands which seems to be durable yet cheap.
7926  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it worth selling a site during COVID-19? on: May 04, 2020, 06:28:28 AM
Sell it if you are decided and you are in need of money.

It's time to survive and use the resources that you have. But if you think that you can monetize more of it and you can earn more than the selling price, continue working on it.
7927  Economy / Speculation / Re: say welcome to THE FOMO... on: May 03, 2020, 06:48:23 AM

7928  Economy / Economics / Re: Net worths if Bitcoin reaches $100,000 on: May 03, 2020, 05:40:51 AM
I wish that it will be there somewhere, I may not be rich as the other holders here but that would give me a one-time big-time profit.

I think there's a lot of whales that are missing on the list, how about those exchange owners and those project developers that's also investing in bitcoin?
7929  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Ending of Covid-19 on: May 03, 2020, 05:15:33 AM
It's funny when some countries are slowly relaxing the restrictions, but little do they know that'd cause some new clusters or spikes in cases.
They're relaxing and thinking that they can slow down the spread in their countries.

But I think they've learned the lesson from those countries that's accountable for their negligence with the reaction they've made to delay the spread.
7930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From year 2099 till 2140 only one bitcoin will be mined... on: May 03, 2020, 04:49:24 AM
Are we still alive by that time?  Grin

If it happens that bitcoin has been the best asset of all time and technology has been bringing it too with its innovation. Then, miners are still there helping to secure the network and the incentive they get is sustainable.
7931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best platform to practice poker on: May 03, 2020, 04:05:34 AM
I think facebook has a poker app where you can play with other people online.
That's where I practice.

The name is 'Texas HoldEm Poker'.

It's a good platform to start practicing your decision making. You'll get chips free but it has no monetary value in the real world unlike the crypto casinos.

Do they still have the apps?

It was year 2007 when I first played it there on facebook. I was very careful not to lose the coins I have though without real value. I think there are platforms in TRON or EOS for poker.

I hate playing poker in real like though. Doubling the amount bet is just not my way to gamble. While I hate to fold I also don't wanna double the amount.  Cheesy
Yes.

The app is still active so if you browse and use your Facebook account, take time to search for the app with the name that I've mentioned and play.
7932  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bloody ants in my laptop :'( on: May 03, 2020, 03:02:25 AM
Yeah, I feel so the ants like heat and my laptop produces a decent amount of heat once plugged for charging.
I've searched a bit on google and I guess the heat isn't the correct word.

It's the warmth that they like.

7934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: May 02, 2020, 03:27:57 PM
it's always about wasting of your money and time... unfortunately sometimes you have some profits not to quit that lame habit
It is if you don't know what you are doing.

Gamblers won't spend money and time if they just want to put it on waste but it's not like that.
7935  Other / Off-topic / Re: Annoyed at the lock down, missing some things very much. on: May 02, 2020, 02:11:44 PM
We will overcome it.

Vaccines are on their way to all of the countries that's been very hit by covid-19. All things will become normal but as they say, there will be a new normal.
7936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: May 02, 2020, 12:47:37 PM
How can you always make money from gambling?

In gambling the chance of losing money is very high to making money from it. I have seen so many gamblers in this forum saying the same. In my personal experience I have won less and lost more.

Gambling is not your regular job but a way to entertain yourself untill it becomes addiction.
It's an unending cycle of telling people that gambling isn't for making money and just for entertainment. Just accept the fact that there are gamblers that are actually good and can make gambling as a source of money.

How? it's best for them to keep the strategy and with a lot of failures from the start. If failure comes again to them, they can quit and change the way of their living.
7937  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bloody ants in my laptop :'( on: May 02, 2020, 12:18:37 PM
I can't actually risk opening the entire board as I don't want my laptop to get malfunctioned in this huge lockdown. (Lockdown is extended till may 17th so I won't find any person to repair in case any part gets destroyed while opening)

My whole & sole earning depends on my laptop.
I see that you don't have any other extra laptop or desktop for doing so. That's ok. Just be patient and wait until the lockdown lifts so that you can consult to a technician.

Why are the ants loving my laptop so much??  Huh
I think this is because of the heat that laptops produce.
7938  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bloody ants in my laptop :'( on: May 02, 2020, 10:16:50 AM
It didn't happened to me but there are ants on my table and keyboard and I saw the same problem with other people that I've met online. Ants on modems, laptops, desktops and other devices that these ants can stay.

I guess you eat when you use your laptop and when there are ants on my table, the same procedure as @peter0425 did, I spray alcohol on my table and luckily, they were gone.

If worse case scenario happens and your laptop suddenly shut downs, it's possible that those ants affected the board.
Yes, that's because I eat while working on laptop. I read it on the internet that if a ant dies in between the connectors, circuits than it might cause a malfunction. Even though this is a rare case but yet it makes me worry as my laptop has most important backups/etc.
Yes,  that's for sure and it will happen. I haven't tried it but I've read a lot of common problems like this and the same experience so I'm more cautious and to avoid this incident for me.

And if it worries, then create a backup first so that you are prepared if something bad happens. You can put a cloth first before putting the food that you are about to it so that stains from that food or drink will go to the cloth which you can wash later and it won't attract any more ants.
Currently, I've kept my laptop in sun hoping the ants would leave the laptop be because of 38° to 40° current temperature as it is almost 3:00PM here. I'm expecting till 5:00PM thr ants should leave orelse I'm moving onto sprinkling alcohol and blowing it off ASAP.
That's a good solution that you have.

Don't you want to open the board and see the affected areas so you can focus them removed with the use of paintbrush?
7939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: May 02, 2020, 09:48:58 AM
It has been more than 40 days now I am under lockdown and I have not gambled yet. I did not feel like gambling in this period of uncertainty. No clue as to when things might get normal or I will have my job, too many things in my mind at the moment. Therefore did not have the urge to gamble at all.
Everyone understands the situation that this ain't time to gamble and I guess many are in this time situation that we have a tight budget.

I'm still not confident whether these lockdowns will be lifted, that wouldn't make the virus gone.
