7921  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Scalping even viable in Cryptocurrencies? on: April 27, 2021, 08:32:03 PM
Yes, it is. I've known people in groups that have been doing this strategy. They're likely living on their daily through scalping but I don't do this strategy on my own.
@OP with your experience in forex, I think you can do it but you still have to practice it.
7922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 27, 2021, 08:05:08 PM
They are making this sport look bad, it's gonna be between SMC vs MVP, I guess they should allow more teams to be added, just like the MPBL, more teams would make it better as it would result in less manipulation. If they want this league to be more successful, then they should start thinking of a change, it doesn't look good now to be honest, people are smarter and they know what's going on inside the league.
Very easy to say that they should add more teams, I think this has been a discussion and issue before but it's hard to get to that point. That's why teams are called franchise before the process of being on it is hard.
And as you notice, the remaining franchises are also coming from the top companies in the country. I agree to goinmerry that maintaining a team is very expensive and it's not that PBA don't like to add other teams but team owners find it expensive to get in.
7923  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there such thing as a “safe strategy”? on: April 27, 2021, 07:26:22 PM
Spot should be good enough both for newbies and experienced traders. Because of greed and the goal to take a shortcut path and earn some more, many newbies are losing themselves and their money as well because they're not well prepared and lack of experience through futures which is very risky at all.

High risk investment like this mostly caught those newbies, thinking that they can easily gain from this business.

Without proper practice and trainings  chances of losing your first investment is very high, there are lots of combinations that you can use while dealing with this business, as long as you are willing to take charge and you are aware with the possibilities no safer than knowing your place and all the factors that affects your activities.
The futures is a high risk thing for everybody not only to the newbies. The mindset that crypto has brought to everyone is to think that it's a place to make easy money.
There are more opportunities that have been thought through it because they've seen others became successful on it.
7924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: April 27, 2021, 04:13:35 PM
It's been a long time since Pacman last fight. this fight is very important not only for business but also for political reason i guess. Even Crawford maybe will not attract a large PPV but this battle will be more better to watch than Pacman vs Mayweather match
PPV will attract more because of Manny himself that's why most of his fights are raking with huge profit through PPV because of him. There's even no official announcement yet if this fight will happen yet we're already comparing it to another fight that he did before.
7925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees are so high right now. What's next? on: April 27, 2021, 03:41:27 PM
That's one thing for sure when the bear market gets in. We will see if bitcoin will play the same pattern as 2018 if the bear market comes.
It is inevitable but as long as the market isn't entering on that season, we're sure that we're going to see more from this market as it's still on bullish season.
I don't really expect the price to decrease more (actually about 12 - 16 $). It has been already increased from 6 - 9 $ before the boom. First it was caused by the last halving, then by the large demand for bitcoin with the price rised to 200%. So i expect the fee to stay at this level when the bear market gets in .
I hope so that the fees would stay but it's better if it will drop just as the normal transactions that we're doing before. But if it won't, we're going to expect higher prices for bitcoin.
That's the counterpart of it, high price means that there will also be high fees.

The support says that they cannot refund you because you have gambled with it so there's no glitch or error on it, you played with the amount that you're asking to be refunded.
So this is his usual game, when ever he looses he comes here and starts a scam accusation. I have seen his thread he created and checked his profile after Stuna explained his obsession to come out every year and start an accusation and now things are clear because he is still playing in Primedice and never once said his problems are solved.
Yeah, it's better just to let him go alone and I don't think that he'll get what he wants to get if the support has already figured out his problem. There's no way to refund the money that you've already spent and lost it legally.

7928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Britcoin" Scam, UK's new CBDC on: April 27, 2021, 11:44:03 AM
That's misleading just like the other forks of bitcoin that have been using its name to get investors.
Not forked coin, it will be CBDC. But you are right that it is misleading, it will be better to be named 'BritainCoin'.
Really a misleading name for their coin. I now understand that it's going to be a CBDC but they should've named it better than britcoin.

Britcoin lol. Well it is in UK, so I guess people would know where the Brit prefix came from.
Yeah, that's really the reason why they've named it like that.
7929  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: April 27, 2021, 03:04:38 AM
Yeah tama yan din ang concern ko but of course in time marami pwede magbago at di yan mangayayri pag di natin sinuportahan at ginamit and Abra wallet and exchange .

and maganda sa kanila kasi may mga staking mate, in which pinag plaplanuhan kona gawin now since naka holding din naman ako.

Which is adress ko nagsisimula sa 3

Pag SegWit o Bech32?  iisa lang sila diba?

Tama pagkakaunawa mo.

7931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prices are low, time to buy some good coin!! on: April 26, 2021, 11:38:42 PM
I don't have any of those coins mentioned but I think that in such a bullish period every dip project creates earning opportunities at least in the short term, I like to zoom out and look at things in the future.
We can say that every one of them but not all of them is giving the same opportunity as the other projects that we're getting an eye on.

I think there is more room for growth for many projects.
There is but the sad part is that those projects that don't get the attention, they're the ones that needs help in marketing even they have a good proposed project.
7932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Britcoin" Scam, UK's new CBDC on: April 26, 2021, 11:11:10 PM
That's misleading just like the other forks of bitcoin that have been using its name to get investors.

And CMC gives this link as a reference for the project: britcoin.xyz but the site is blank... So, britcoin doesn't look like a serious project for me at all.
Yeah, it points out to a website that contains nothing. Likely another project that's joking around I think.

Wow, congratulations to the dicer who have won that 25 Litecoins. Sure it was an easy profit for him but how much he had lost on his way?  Tongue

7934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees are so high right now. What's next? on: April 26, 2021, 10:27:26 PM
The fees are really intriguing at this bull run. This also could be the reason why the price of bitcoin has dropped a lot because many transactions have been stuck even with high fees.
But just as the same after the bull run of 2017, the fees have dropped a lot. I think we're going to see cheap fees again if we enter the bear market.

Bear market conditions I'm sure will definitely come. The problem is, I'm not sure if bitcoin will be properly correct going back to 2018. I don't think it's possible, transaction fees will probably be as high as in 2018, but cheaper than now, because prices will drop when the bear market arrives.
That's one thing for sure when the bear market gets in. We will see if bitcoin will play the same pattern as 2018 if the bear market comes.

7935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: April 26, 2021, 06:31:16 PM
For me personally, I've found most success in Tennis and the players are a lot more predictable than lets say NBA or Baseball. Football could be very profitable as well but it could get a little complicated(but has more arbitrage opportunities). NBA playoffs can be good to bet on as you expect both teams to be actually trying hard to win the game. Regular season, teams try to experiment or rest their players a lot. If you do not have reliable information, it could end really badly. Way too many upsets happen in NBA regularly.
There is just more games during the regular season and it's always unexpected to see the outcome of it. I agree to you that many of the teams are into experimental during the regular ones and  there are also more roster changes that happens.
That's why if you want to bet seriously too, you can take advantage of that season unless you only want to bet during playoffs up to the finals.

That's a mistake if a newbie gets on it too early. They're being attracted to the profit of experts on it but in reality, it's a hard trade to commence.
Yeah most newbie traders are getting failed when they are trying to copy what professional traders are doing after years of experiences. We must try only for what is capable based on our capital and experience and trying for anything beyond that might lead to losing capital.
Spot should be good enough both for newbies and experienced traders. Because of greed and the goal to take a shortcut path and earn some more, many newbies are losing themselves and their money as well because they're not well prepared and lack of experience through futures which is very risky at all.

A news, very hot news regarding Mikey Williams

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/mikey-williams-finally-officially-joins-tnt-tropang-giga-signs-two-year-deal-a793-20210426?ref=home_featured_2

The 6-foot-2 Williams will finally come on board for the franchise after being signed to a two-year max contract.

Team manager Gabby Cui confirmed the deal on Monday.

The signing puts an end to the long standoff between the Tropang Giga and the highly-touted rookie picked No. 4 overall in the last PBA draft.

Under the deal, Williams, 28, will be receiving a total of P5.4 million in the next two years, including a monthly salary of P250,000 in his sophomore season.

Good that they ended up getting him because he can be a huge part of the team now that Ray Parks isn't playing. He might not get the 300,000 monthly salary that he wants, he got a max contract and a higher salary at his 2nd year and not only that, he also got a telecommunication franchise.

Any takeaway from you who are waiting for this news?? Smiley
Good for him though, if he declines this contract, there's probably no other team that would take him in due to that attitude. At least he got into a good team and with that salary, I think he can settle with that amount.
He should be doing good with some of performance bonuses during his stay.

That's already a decent salary for a veteran, that's Php 225,000 on a monthly basis, higher than the max salary of a rookie which is only PHP 200,000. he deserved that salary, and I think it was already rumored that he will come back under the new coach, and finally it has already come into reality.

Maybe the issue with Ray Parks not signing for the team, open up an opportunity for new players and Williams could be one of the beneficiary.
Yes, it's already a decent amount that he shouldn't decline. Well, Ray Parks has some issue and it must be personal and he really don't want to play anymore under them or,
He asked for some raise about his contract and the deal didn't go through, I don't know, just giving some thoughts.

@cryptodude what's with a reserve message? this thread isn't a bounty where we mostly see reserve posts.

One piece of advice, it is better for all beginners not to meddle in futures at first, because of inexperience I flew there and started spending my hard-earned money that I earned on the spot.
That's a mistake if a newbie gets on it too early. They're being attracted to the profit of experts on it but in reality, it's a hard trade to commence.

None of those, I'll take time to buy Ethereum just as it has recovered so fast that yesterday the price was cheaper. That's the power of the most popular altcoins and also I agree that BNB should also be included.
I knew those cryptos that have been mentioned but they're not of my type and I'd like to stick with the top ones.
