7941  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you like to pay bills using bitcoins while staying at home? on: July 14, 2016, 04:54:10 PM
Why do you want to pay bills using bitcoin only?? Don't you have a debit card??

I think you should use you debit card to pay all your bills and use bitcoin for future savings. Bitcoin has a huge potential to go up an uncharted territory. Now its up to you whether you want to spend your fortune for paying silly bills or not.
7942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what will be the contigency of bitcoin if internet went wrong? on: July 14, 2016, 11:57:59 AM
Funny question....if internet goes down, the only contingency you can have is your fiat currency. Bitcoin is completely online based currency. It would evaporate if there is not internet available.

You have to use your fiat currency once the internet is down I guess!!
7943  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: July 13, 2016, 02:58:14 PM
True, bitcoin doesn't have the power to replace fiat. Fiat is an established form of currency and regulated by government. It is also backed by some tangible asset like gold.

On the other hand, bitcoin doesn't have any central regulatory authority and is not backed by any asset. It is just backed by trust of the people. So it will never be possible for bitcoin to replace fiat in the coming 100 years.
7944  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: July 13, 2016, 02:53:53 PM
I first heard about bitcoin from a local newspaper. They had taken interviews of some bitcoin miners of my city back in 2011. That time I came to know about bitcoin first. But it didn't interest me at that time.

However, when I started seeing people in my twitter account they are earning some serious money by trading bitcoin, then I started researching about it and hop in to the world of bitcoin.
7945  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 13, 2016, 02:50:41 PM
Investing in trusted avenues, is another form of savings only. Do we keep money to our bank account for ever? or do we prefer to invest it in a deposit or something similar to it??

Obviously, we prefer to invest our money so that we can get some interest payment. This way we increase our savings. So I always prefer to invest my money in to trusted avenues instead of keeping it idle in my bank account.
7946  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: July 13, 2016, 02:47:42 PM
Absolutely I believe in fiat and will keep believing it. Fiat is the most legal and regulated currency. Also it is backed by some tangible asset like gold. SO the price can't go down after a certain limit. If a certain fiat currency started going down, the central bank of that particular country will intervene to stop that fall.

In bitcoin we don't have such regulatory authority. It is a symbol of free economy. So even if I earn a lot of bitcoin, I will still believe fiat currency.
7947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is bitcoin most important to you? on: July 13, 2016, 02:42:20 PM
The most important feature of bitcoin is what I believe is its price and huge potential to move up to any amount. So for me, bitcoin is an investment. I don't buy things using my bitcoin. I am just accumulating more and more of it.

I expect the price to go up and I am looking for long term investment. Probably 8-10 from now.
7948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the only trusted cryptocurrency on: July 13, 2016, 02:06:03 PM
Your statement is partially true but not completely. Bitcoin is definitely a trusted crypto currency, but it is not the only one. People believe in bitcoin because it is the pioneer in crypto currency world.

But there are some more crypto currencies, you can put your trust in. Like litecoin, dash, monero etc. Yes, they have copied the concept of bitcoin of  being an internet money. But they also have a strong follower base and their market cap is also high.
7949  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you know BTC price will go down or up within a day? on: July 13, 2016, 01:59:20 PM
There is no predefined way to determine the bitcoin price movement. No one in the world can tell you for sure whether price will move up or go down.

It is like any other stock market and drives in the principles of demand supply. When the demand is robust, the price is expected to move up and vice versa.

Technical analytics can tell you the possibilities, but can't recommend you or guarantee you about the price movement.
7950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PlayStore accepting Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2016, 10:21:09 AM
Do you think that PlayStore for android phones should accept Bitcoin as a payment or AppStore for Iphone? Steam has no problem with Bitcoins, so why shouldn't PlayStore and AppStore use it? It can use BitPay like Steam and most sites that sell something online.
It would be great, but do you think it will happen?

That is a good proposition. But google is skeptical about using a decentralized currency like bitcoin as of now.

Also the fluctuation in bitcoin price is also a matter of concern. So a proper price bench marking needs to be done before bitcoin is accepted in app store.

Another issue is that, you can't buy anything immediately with bitcoin payment as it takes time to get confirmed. So you will have to wait after making the payment until it gets confirmed. These are few road blocks.
7951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee will start BTC Mining on: July 13, 2016, 05:37:54 AM
An Asicminer Blade is 10GH, so 1 PH is 100,000 of these. That is a lot of hash power to mine bitcoin.

He will own a part of total bitcoin hashrate and will be mining more bitcoin than anyone else. is he a freak? I have seen his picture where he is lighting a fag with burning dollar.

He could have given out some money to poor traders like me as a charity.

7952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Blockchain is patented, can they bring down the rest of the altcoins? on: July 12, 2016, 07:09:14 AM
The main challenge will be proving who satoshi is. There will be many fraudsters who will come running to claim their piece of cake if they come to know that blockchain technology is up for patent.

So I don't see any apparent reason for blockchain patent. However, if someone can bring down some useless alt coins, I would support that person for sure. The altcoins are the main reason why bitcoin price is not moving up faster. The investments are getting distributed within the alt coins and bitcoin market cap is not increasing the way it was expected.
7953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum computers of NSA, advantageous to bitcoin or not? on: July 12, 2016, 07:04:41 AM
I don't think quantum computing will be any threat to bitcoin's existence because, quantum computer is basically a theory till date and far from becoming a reality. Also like we evolve with anything that effects us, bitcoin will also evolve to make up with the changes.

Also even if quantum computing is introduced in some time, it will not be an easily accessible technology to the masses. The adoption and use will take a long time. So I see no threat to bitcoin as of now.
7954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you trust to bitcoin casinos? on: July 12, 2016, 04:53:57 AM
Like any other casino, bitcoin casino is also a business. So the owner will have to win otherwise he will not be able to run the casino. However, there are many people who have earned a lot from bitcoin casinos. There are even more people, those who have lost money in casinos. That's what the profit of the owner comes from.

Remember, the house always wins. But few lucky persons win as well.
7955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: July 11, 2016, 03:02:41 PM
Probably the reason behind not using bitcoin can be the lack of understanding of the technology. Many people will think bitcoin is illegal if they come to know that it can be mined through a computer program...

Those who are not tech savy they will have problem understanding the logic behind bitcoin. That's the main constraint.
7956  Other / Off-topic / Re: Old people earning bitcoins on: July 11, 2016, 02:27:18 PM
I know few 45+ people who earns online through various methods like blogging, marketing and coding. I don't know in particular whether they earn bitcoin or not.

But there are so many tech savy old people who can earn in bitcoin if they want too. Remember, aged people are more experienced than us. SO they can surely earn bitcoin better than us if they want to.
7957  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: July 11, 2016, 02:24:41 PM
Bank can't solve our mining and other crypto currency related problem in any way. Only thing a bank can do is to facilitate payment and help in exchange service.

But I think it is better not to involve bank in to bitcoin because, then your earning will have to be declared mandatory to the regulatory authority and you will have to pay taxes on it.
7958  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do with your btc? on: July 11, 2016, 08:45:45 AM
There are a lot of things you can do with your bitcoin.

First and most important tings you can do is to send all your bitcoins to me Cheesy

You can trade for bigger profits and also you can exchange your bitcoin to your preferred currency and make the most out of it. However, my suggestion is that, hold your bitcoin instead of spending it for silly things.
7959  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: July 10, 2016, 06:09:33 PM
Leaving a daytime job to go full time on bitcoin is the most badass idea I have ever heard in my life. Bitcoin is not a tangible asset and you can only take it as an alternate investment. It is not a good idea to go full time on bitcoin.

Keep you day time job and also earn bitcoin. IT may give you a very nice retired life or may not. But you should not completely rely on bitcoin for your daily expenses.
7960  Other / Archival / Re: Do you have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? on: July 10, 2016, 06:04:09 PM
Why wouldn't I?? Definitely I have a bank verified paypal account and I really enjoy the services of paypal in my country..bitcoin is anonymous and decentralized but when it comes to transfer money to my bank account, paypal comes to my rescue.

I have been using paypal since last 8 years and I am really happy with it.
