To have quality posts and avoid spam people to increase the rank.

What type of a shitpost is this? Grin To avoid spam - people need to increase rank? OMG you are literally out of your mind. To have quality posts we need quality brains with a least amount of knowledge to comprehend what others say.

Quote
If you want to merit you should write articles to help the community you will get merit for the effort that you spend  Wink
That sounds to me like the new trend people are following this days and I dont like it. Making new threads in meta about merit - irritates my eyes every time I visit the forum.

Also if you are referring to copy-pasting posts made by other sources then get ready to face the banhammer.

Meritable posts would be concise and to the point and not walls of text which makes the readers eyes bleed and cause retinal detachment.
7942  Other / Archival / Re: How to prove it? ( Red Trust) on: April 19, 2018, 11:39:40 AM
There is a senior members who said to me that making a new thread can release a red trust. Is that correct? and if not if there's another way? please help me to solve this problem.
LMAO

Literally you are an idiot who does no read properly before posting.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3330037.msg34987213#msg34987213

Please read what I had posted here before you start making new threads like a butthurt child claiming that making a new thread will remove your negative trust. You need to back up your petition with enough evidence which can prove beyond reasonable doubt that you not a cheater. Being a cry-baby wont work.

Without proof dont expect to get your negative removed.
7943  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader Future life? on: April 19, 2018, 11:27:25 AM
How is trader life in the future?A trader is the country's wealth?

I think the future of traders is likely to multiply and will trigger a rise in the price of bitcoin and other coins, how not bitcoin has a very limited supply total whereas if more and more are trading then coin will be many who buy and fight each other.

The people who buy will sell at some point. That is the essence of market fluctuation even in the limited supply. Now there are places where people buy and sell privately but these are smaller volume than exchanges.

Volume has an effect on the price of bitcoin but that does not mean people will fight for a single price.

I believe that if a person tried to trade, it is in any case a good experience for him. Nothing goes to waste. You will be able to take place in another profession, because trading is hard work.
LOL, trading is hard work? True but then those who have no skills in trading and dont have the nerves to control their emotions wont ever be able to profit from trading. Trading after all is not another "get-rich-quick" scheme.
7944  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how much usd need for trade ?? on: April 18, 2018, 09:44:20 AM
maybe you can try to watch in youtube there are many tutorial for beginners on how to trade in cryptocurrency and you can start for only $20 just practice first how to earn profit with $20.

Youtube is full of shitcoin shill and idiots with their own propaganda pumping their own shitcoins. Its the last place to learn about crypto trading. The basics of trading remains the same though. However if people are no swayed by those shills then it can be a good idea. This would be better if the person has some idea of crypto from beforehand and then ventures into the youtube shill breeding videos.

There is no exact amount to be used in trading, you can trade whatever amount as long as you consider the transaction charge, because in every trading there is transaction charge, You need to consider it so that you can decide whether to sell it on lower or higher price by knowing your expected profit after deducted the transaction charge.

Good point. Teeny weeny transactions will still take same fees and thus if you have some spare balance consider holding it is the exchange rather than trying to buy some other altcoin. This happens commonly when people are buying a bunch of coins during a dump.
7945  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative Trust on: April 18, 2018, 09:37:19 AM
maybe in the future founder Bitcointalk will soon discuss this. merit in the practice because more and more shitposter and farming accounts
I hope to be re-implemented a concept that prevents this from happening because Cheater is a disgrace,

and I get a red trust just because of a misunderstanding, I'm not begging him to release my Red trust, I just want him to understand what really happened, which I really regret is to issue the Red trust whenever he wants without doing any investigation first.

As time passed in the forum, signature campaings came into existance. However those who cheat bounties and signature campaigns with alt accounts, need to be marked with red because it is a method of cheating them, or in other world trying to "steal" from the company you have hired for to wear the signature.

Now there is no misunderstanding regarding those cases marked with red by DT. If you have enough proof to refute, do so by making a new thread in "Reputation" and ask DT to read your petition. But just to save your time, this rarely happens because DT marks of red (specially in such cases) have been well investigated already.

but we have to accept the reality, we are given a red trust by a trusted person and greatly contribute to the Forum, although his heart is hard like a rock.
There is no place for emotions in the internet. Only scammers ask for sympathy and empathy.

I wonder what type of love you mean by that. Grin

Hi everybody
I'm a new member of this forum (3 months), I find that many people in this forum need "Merit" to do signature campaigns rather than having a forum with quality posts (less posts spam).Try to help newcomers to this forum, create quality articles, create help articles like posting images on forums, creating forum posts, tips for your friends on the forum. v... v. Do not think much about merit, you will find things easier
So the first thing that comes to your mind while on this forum is that signature campaigns? Dont you ever think of what the idea of making forum is in the first place? Its about disucssion and answering questions and doubts of fellow members who are unified by some topic - in this case it was bitcoin. (till signature campaigns came into existence). Pretty soon it changed over to hunting down merits and now its English language skills.

LMAO if you come to this forum trying to learn English better just so you can spam your signature then you need to get a life or leave this forum.

Quote
This is also a spam post. But it makes me feel relieved to say what I think about merit, I know only some people like that.
Then why did you post it? Roll Eyes

7947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: April 18, 2018, 09:26:20 AM
Perhaps because no gamblers share their success in what they have spent from the winnings. It is normal IMO, because gambler is still gambler. Most of them will only share their gambling experiences, not other experiences. The result gambling is not good? Yes 90% could be true, but I believe there are some people has a good result in gambling.

On the contrary many gamblers share their big wins. However they do it in order to spread their referral link among naive people. What happens is that this type of propaganda makes the potential gamblers feel jealous and delusional. They think that similar Jackpot winning can be obtained by them as well and thus they sign up. And once they sign up they start gambling and cant stop it.

Whenever you see somebody posting ref links with a big win in the description, whatever social media it might be - make sure to ignore it - because it will be a tempting trap.
7948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how much usd need for trade ?? on: April 17, 2018, 12:03:49 PM
As like lot of users mentioned no minimum capital is needed but you need capital on based on which coin you are trading.I think it is better to start with $500 for altcoins intially if you can make profits here then invest big capital as how much you can afford.

The best thing to so is to set up a fantasy trading system and maintain an ICO investment/altcoin portfolio of it. That way you can practice how you can trade before actually putting in money into the scene. Because shit happens and people lose their money in so many different ways. 500$ seems like a good amount of capital to start with.

If it is a matter of dealing directly with trading, then you need to start with the amount that is ready to lose. If you feel that you are beating the market, then you can invest. You can start with $ 100

"Investing" does not mean you are beating the market, speaking of which nobody can "beat" the market. Because that is based on how other people are trading. The more correct way to put it would be "beat the other traders".
7949  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org - signature spam on: April 17, 2018, 11:59:22 AM
I understand the merit system should be helpful. However as long as Jr. Members will be able to join signature campaigns, it wont help that much. Honestly I dont understand the ICO start ups either, the reach of Jr. Member signature cant have much of an impact.

If an ICO wants to buy the signature spaces of members then it will be wiser for them if they choose the Senior Member+ accounts only and that too with some merit pre-requisite. Those who are accepting juniors and going to gather a lot of them surely but that will be a shitposter gang, whose main job will be to gangbang the mega-threads in the "Bitcoin Disucssion" and "Economics" sections. Grin

I myself no longer feel like posting in these sections - too much spam to handle and by the time I post something in such a thread there would be 4 new replies already lined up. Roll Eyes
7950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader Future life? on: April 17, 2018, 11:55:22 AM
I am a trader from 10/2017 and i think trader now is more better than Holder. But atlcoins it dependent too much on bitcoin

Hodling is type of trading as well. It depends on how the trader plans on making profits. They can either buy a lot and then wait for that moment to sell then all and drop the market while it was on the rise. Or they can buy sell every now and then trying to cash in and cash out every dump and pump respectively.

Altcoins depends on bitcoin because they are purchased with three sources (mainly) - BTC, ETH and fiat. Of which most of the traders prefer bitcoin to buy altcoins. So if bitcoin drops, altcoins bought per bitcoin will decrease too and thus price of altcoins will rise at first and then drop.
7951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambler's way on: April 17, 2018, 11:52:14 AM
We can't say we will win if we are gambling everyday because there were lot of gamblers are trying their luck everyday and ended up losing again and again and some people just play one or twice and got bags of money so the luck can come anytime. And gambling was designed for the owners profit no the players. Cheesy

The casino house will always win no matter what strategy you put into play. The game is EV- in dice and slots roulette etc. Thus in the long term profit for the gambler is negative and for the house if positive. Most gamblers who are regularly playing know this and thus they dont play for too long, lest the bad streaks come into play.

Again many gamblers cant stop their temptation - which is why the casino business is lucrative and profitable not to mention illegal in some places.
7952  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative Trust on: April 16, 2018, 02:51:38 PM
Why do you put a negative trust on me when I am just doing bounty? I am not cheating though. theymos need to know this, you are doing inappropriate things. Can you please dont give red trust for those who are striving very hard?

Because those of you who are using multiple accounts to abuse bounty campaigns will be marked red. Also please stop referring to bounties as "jobs" and something to "strive for". Its utter nonsense and makes your look like a scumbag in the forum. Those who come to the forum for bounties and all are the worst level of scum in the world.

Also theymos would not be looking into the "loveletter" you sent to them. They are too busy with other work.

Thanks for bringing your accounts into my notice. I will also send you some postcards with red permanent markers. Grin
7953  Other / Meta / Re: Start Topic Reading From Where You Left on: April 16, 2018, 02:45:07 PM
-snip-

What SFR10 said is correct. The new#new lands the link in those posts that have come after the last time you (from your profile) visited that thread and checked the replies. Once the replies have been "seen" by you the new "tag" will be removed and thus they will be removed from the "unread" section of your profile under those threads which you posted in.

This does not mean that it will land up in the same place where you left off for everyone. Its only for your profile. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
7954  Other / Meta / Re: Indian Sub New Moderator ? [Recommendations Welcome] on: April 16, 2018, 02:38:31 PM
If Theymos is indeed looking for a moderator of the Indian board, I would like to throw my hat in the ring as well. I may not be an established member of the community, given that I frequent most other boards as well. I have the time and I do report posts to mods frequently.

Theymos did not make any statement that he needs a new moderator. Joel_Jansten is simply pointing out the fact that the Indian Local board need a mod, along with the recent issues at Coinsecure and Benson being busy - not being able to moderate the section.

I doubt it is not just a hack but Indian forum lacks strong moderation in general.I had brought up the issue a few months back as well (unfortunately I couldn't find the thread)
This. He claims to have brought up this context before as well. Dont get me wrong but it seems to me now that Joel is actually trying to promote their own name for the new mod taking advantage of the situation of the Coinsecure and Benson being AWOL (??)Not that I would have any objection to it. (I dont know about others though)

EDIT : This thread is for general recommendations and I'm not self promoting by any means. Additionally, I'm not interested in becoming a moderator since it's a job which requires time and quite an amount of effort which I can't commit to.
But nice of you to put it in the Disclaimer.

Fact is, there are not many established old timers from India who are still active anymore. And its an imperative that to be an Indian mod you HAVE to be someone from India.
Question is, would they be willing to reveal their nationality at all? Privacy issues? Roll Eyes
7955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: April 16, 2018, 02:30:18 PM
I'm not a gambler addict and I just did try playing hi-lo betting sites but I already felt all those consequences and it's really the worst feeling when you lost. I tried to recover my losses but I still lost. That feeling stayed in me for 2 weeks. It's really makes me very weak.

I would call you a winner. You did not lose but won that game that most people cannot win - The Mind Game. Gambling and any other addiction which has psychological dependence is based on the mind not being able to abstain from that addictive substance. If you can calm your mind and stop yourself from gambling then you have conquered your mind and have taken control of the mind game.

The feeling will be there. But if you involve yourself in other work then definitely in future you will be able to stop yourself from gambling ever again.
7956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how much usd need for trade ?? on: April 15, 2018, 03:57:55 PM
actually not from how much the amount. even if the amount of your trading skills are still low your money will run out too. otherwise a little capital but your skill is good you can certainly make a lot of money from trading. Cheesy

I would advice you to improve you English first before posting in the forum. A post like this is utter garbage and made only to spam their signature. Wink

Most traders are just looking for fiat earnings because they want to quit their job or anything else related to this. Isn't it a little bit curious that most of the traders are teenagers or people older than 40?

How do you know that without any proof? Any sane person here who is not 60+ would never try to get rid of their job - because its their daily earning. Hell nobody would want their insured earning of bread and butter everyday to be taken - would they?

Most traders (if you ask me) come in the 20-50y age group. I am saying this from my own experience but there will be exceptions.
7957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why people think that bitcoin is buble coin ? on: April 15, 2018, 03:51:40 PM
Because of the value they rise abnormally. People are afraid to hold them. But I believe BTC is a secure coin and sustainable development in the future. Be sure to invest in BTC. Do not worry too much.
Nobody is afraid to hold something. What they are afraid of if what if they lose their money.

People trust media and experts. If they tell that Bitcoin is a bubble, a lot of people will agree with this information. But if government or somebody with large authority will tell that BTC is new kind of money, they also will believe in that. People are laze and don’t want to check facts by themselves…

Mainly the medis FUD is bought easily by the common people. If they would think scientifically they would understand the essence of bitcoin and its usage. Now most people are too lazy (like marmeladko said) and rest are brainwashed by reading the shillposting on reddit channels and twitter account pages. Believe me, those are breeding grounds for shills who dont care about investors money but for pumping every other news.
7958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Any Regulations for Bitcoin Casinos? on: April 15, 2018, 03:43:20 PM
I think the rules and regulations of the gambling site are based on which country the site is origin from. But bitcoin is anonymous so it doesn't have any rules to be followed. If the gambling is allowed in that country then bitcoin gambling is also allowed to do.

Bitcoin may be anonymous (pseudo-anonymous to be precise) but the gambling site is often not so. There are many bitcoin casinos who are owned by people and these people are no longer anonymous. They are running a profitable business and they have to protect their interests. Thus it is better for them to get a licence and get "taxed" or so by their government following local rules.

The last thing that a successful bitcoin casino owner would want is the authorities knocking on their door for money laundering.
7959  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system= Rubbish posts on: April 15, 2018, 03:40:51 PM
As i know a lot of member at bitcointalk only do their task for join bounty, such as: Facebook, Twitter, Make Videos, Articles and they using multi account to join it. I have manage one campaign which have over 70% is Newbie and JR.Member; they post report day by day and increasing their activity obviously. Do you think they deserve to receive merits with only report post? I think Merits System is fairly for everyone, but it should be have limited on some subjects such as: Reputation, Speculator, Bounty Thread (Alts or BTC) instead of at all subjects like now.

See people who come to this forum to do only bounties and airdrops are always looked down upon as the bottomfeeder shitposter squad. Now if they eually contribute to discussions and they also do some bounties, it shows that they are not some beggar sort of shitposter and in the long run will able to earn some merits if they make quality posts.

Its not a question of being fair or not. In my opinion it is unfair and this is a good thing for the forum. People here hardly interact in their posts even if someone replies them in the Bitcoin Discussion and Economics, Altcoin Discussion sections. Let alone the ANN sections which is full of shitposters. The merit sources will have a sort of "favoritism" and this is good for the forum.
7960  Other / Meta / Re: Indian Sub New Moderator ? [Recommendations Welcome] on: April 14, 2018, 05:57:31 PM
Not you.

Theultraelite maybe?

Naah dude, I cant be a moderator for the following reasons:
1. I have a life outside this forum. Not possible for me to come everyday to this forum to mod a section.
2. I am extremely hammer-happy. I would get demodded in within a week even if I was made one. You can bet on that for sure.

But definitely not anybody like @allahabadi. Sorry to break it, if I did.

@joel_jantsen, I would say let the dust settle a bit and let theymos decide how to proceed based on the hack investigations.
