Right, so one close score, doubt many people in Superbru got close for even a Chelsea thrashing haha.

Not watching the Leicester game but doesn't seem like City are getting much joy even with 66% possession, just 1 shot on target. No corners, 1 offside and 1 yellow, 1 Leicester keeper save. Are they just cancelling each other out in midfield and City taking pot shots or how?
7942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was paper money rejected by religions as much as Bitcoin? on: April 03, 2021, 04:43:47 PM
I don't have the right sources but am fairly certain that even the religious funds (pension funds and pilgrimage funds which helped pay for expensive pilgrimages to Mecca) in Malaysia at one point we're questioned and investigated for their permissibility as Islam is the official religion... And found to be wanting as the funds were invested in forbidden businesses like forex (generally, questionably forbidden) and gambling (explicitly forbidden).

Eventually they had to issue fatwa which made all these permissible as they were necessary and impossible to avoid.

Can't see why Bitcoin won't undergo the same considerations.

Nice one ralle! And agree Trofo! I didn't expect it to be this late game, but if there's a game for goals and corners, it's this one! Just hope not too many haha. Not entirely sure of the lineup but I'm expecting us to hit hard and heavy, we had our strikers on song for their respective international distractions so am hoping that's a lot of motivated muscle.

My bet's locked in too!
7944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 03, 2021, 02:31:15 PM
^ Definitely going to see one or two of their star signings offloaded by end of season. Which is a real pity because Havertz, Werner, Pulisic were all really good talents and at some point I expected one or more of them at Liverpool, but they ended up with Chelsea. Not that their luck would have been better with the Reds, just I feel we'd have given them more joy. Still, Jota was a better buy.

Getting closer to the game at Emirates and I'm betting big on Liverpool to win =D

Lol Chelski or RIP Chelski? International games ruined their form it seems. Letting in 5 goals against West Brom?

But Thiago getting himself that red card is reminiscent of the red card he got on his debut (IIRC). Aging and not adept and not a good fit for the team or English footie. To be fair, I'm wondering if it's beginning to be the same for our own Thiago...
7947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Despite six months of rising Bitcoin prices, Peter Brent says up to $ 50,000 cor on: April 03, 2021, 09:11:26 AM
He might be right after all, but if or because Bitcoin gets a 55% correction after sailing into six figure territory. I highly doubt it stops there though. After 100k pretty confident 150 or 200 would be more than natural...

And then 55% correction from there might appear to be painful but it'll be a shrug of shoulders now that we've experienced 85% losses (Mac 2020 from Dec 2017).
7948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beat the BetBuilder promotion thread - win prizes from Sportsbet.io on: April 03, 2021, 08:10:27 AM
I'm a sucker for this and I actually made really good NCAA picks in the past 3 Multi Master farewell events, not that 2nd place does anything for me but hey, consolation Betbuilders, why not?

One upset at the overs for just over 5/1, and one fav but on an under score, for a measly 2/1. Good luck bois, but don't win Wink

Watford won, but could only manage an own goal so we threw that one out. And it started so well until 2nd half in Championship, bottom team actually won and Norwich gave up points. Premier club football back today and there's we we go with selections! Sticking with Monaco but for a full-time result in this 5 leg insured boosted:

100 units at Sportsbet on Liverpool, Leeds, Milan, Lazio, Monaco to WIN @13.65. Other odds: 12.88

Units advantage: 77

And let's throw in a big, big, 1000 units at Fairlay on Liverpool to WIN vs Arsenal @2.28. Other odds: 2.35 Now I bet this really early and odds have actually climbed so I'll admit the disadvantage here = 7 x 10 =70

Another irresponsible big bet? 1000 units at Fairlay on Liv to win HT @2.95. Other odds: 2.85. Advantage: 10x10 =100

Total units advantage: 107

Running advantage after 291 bets: +19,603 (+107)
All-time cumulative: +57,151
Running units after 288 bets (394W|244L): +9,039 (-200)
7951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: April 03, 2021, 06:37:27 AM
^ I probably went up the highest just after BTC hit ATH, I had not adjusted my bitcoin bet amounts at the time so it had gone up to about 5x or 6x their fiat value but have been switching to "regular" betting values since around mid-Feb IIRC -- I earn in Bitcoin but paid out in fiat value so there we go;)

Thanks for the new BB, maybe my NCAA luck moves on there?
7952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: April 02, 2021, 03:06:28 PM
Nope, it's the Championship this time!

Nice Friday action to look at, Barnsley take on Reading in about 1.5 hours: https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/sportsbet-specials/daily-specials/soccer-blackjack/barnsley-reading-60672765e3b0573173f27785

Both teams are in similar form (1 loss in past 5 games) and similar positions in the table (5-7). Barnsley look good for goals and corners. Let's do it!
7953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 Major League Baseball (MLB) Season on: April 02, 2021, 02:48:22 PM
Bad start for me as well, did a double parlay on the opening 2 games' favourites and they both crashed out. Early season blues -- tried following the games on Live Google update but I have to say I really don't know what's going on;)

Might spend a bit of time reading up and maybe watching a game or something. BoSox in 3.5 hours? I put down something small on the World Series for them to get it at those sweet 52/1 odds but Yankees are good value even after their loss last night!

Bitten right in the ass by another late comeback. But let's not give up on the favorites shall we? I'm thinking the Championship in England will want to get roaring out of the break and secure some promotion berths. Top it off with an early start for the fallen French aristocrats?

100 units at Sportsbet, boosted and insured, Norwich, Watford, Brentford, Blackburn, Monaco HT @16.93. Other odds: 15.73

And Watford and BTTS @4.34. Other odds: 3.80

Units advantage: 120+54 = 174

Running advantage after 288 bets: +19,496 (+174)
All-time cumulative: +57,044
Running units after 286 bets (394W|242L): +9,239 (-100)

Haven't had time to browse through everything but I think you've done a very decent job from what I can see so far! And you're absolutely right, we wouldn't be here in the space without them. In fact, they've helped us every bit as proponents do in terms of visibility, awareness, even just pure interest. Keep it up and look into non-English sources Wink
7957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: April 01, 2021, 03:47:13 PM
Hey hey new Blackjack is active and it's another Segunda game! This one should be a tight cracker of a game. I caught the superboost on correct score earlier on the same match, so I will be hoping for a 2:1 home win for poor Mallorca but maybe we can still get 18 points from cards and corners?

Everything to win, so little to lose =p

7958  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why is there not more supply and demand for empty Physical Bitcoin? on: April 01, 2021, 12:34:55 PM
I'm probably even less of a no one than Mopar up there, but I've certainly bought more than my fair share of this. Am not sure what you really mean by "empty" physical bitcoin though -- do you mean unfunded bitcoin wallets in the shape of collectibles? If so, there's a very real demand. Niche maybe, but if a non-collector like me occasionally shops around, then I can imagine what it'd look like for people who're really into it.

I'm not so much into vanity value either, I just think it's nice to remind some young adults I'm "in charge of" of what Bitcoin is, in a way that's more relatable to them.
7959  Economy / Speculation / Re: March has always been best month for BTC with 30% gains the last years on: April 01, 2021, 11:24:22 AM
Yup, OP definitely meant April and I remember this time last year too the headlines were reminding us all of that, though for the life of me can't recall 2018/19 Aprils (hunkering down for long-term hold is why).

Still shy of 60000 mark as it stands, but I do see strong moves from alts. Could be people using BTC on exchanges to buy up alts instead of selling?
7960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you use locktime for hodling? on: April 01, 2021, 09:52:56 AM
Not my preferred method since I never know when I'll need to liquidate for an emergency perhaps. I suppose there are ways to write in an override but I'll admit I'm not daring enough to use even if I could find a reliable guide.

I trust my self-discipline. It's worked well for me through the bear winter and through 3k BTC after seeing 20k, so I'm pretty sure I can withstand another 85% drop.
