found an new faucet, 1000 satoshi for every 5 mins. Shocked
http://leaky.website/

LOL, sooner or later the faucet will collapse Cheesy
Ever take a WD? The site is seems strange, i used adblock and when i try to disable for that site, my adblock show this site is like this: wyciwyg://4/http://leaky.website/ Huh

it depends on how much traffic they get with ad revenue too, if they generate enough traffic per visit/claim to be able to afford 1000 satoshi per claim there shouldnt be a problem with it.

Ad's are a big part of faucets.   The more adds the more they make off of traffic.

To have a successful faucet you need these adds.  I still suggest doing other things such as signature campaigns over faucets.

And other things to, for me it's Mining.

theres little defense for faucets honestly; i know that 1000 satoshi per 5 minutes is a "high" rate for a faucet, but compare that to 1 post that i make on my signature campaign for 0.0013 BTC, thats 130 times more btc for a single post. that translates to over 10 hours of claiming on that faucet, nonstop, to get the same amount. its just notnworth the time and effort (to entering captchas).

I'm not defending faucets.  I think most target new people and waste hours of their time for pennies a hour.

The main person who gets money is the owner of faucet.   People justify it by saying it teaches Bitcoin, I do not believe typing in a capatcha teaches BTC.

7963  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to connect my antminer s5 with bitminter pool? on: July 21, 2015, 07:36:44 AM
Out of curiosity who advised you to use bitminter?  It just is one that is not all that popular anymore.

Eleuthria, after shutting down his pool BTC Guild, is recommending Bitminter to his miners.

bitcoin.org is advising miners to use a pool that properly validates blocks. There is a list of bad and good pools at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools#SPV_Mining_.2F_Old_Bitcoin_Core

Ahhh ok thank you!  I could not find that.

Intresting choice still kinda sad to see BTC Guild go after all the time they were around.  And at times they were massive.
7964  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Quick question please answer, if any one knows on: July 21, 2015, 07:34:50 AM
Haven't seen a S5 under $420ish WITH shipping for almost a month now, since BitMain started jacking up the price on new ones in responce to the BTC price runup

For that matter, they're getting thin PERIOD on eBay, and haven't seen ANY on Amazon since I bought out all the cheap ones early this month (except some new ones at even more than BitMain prices).

like i said you should look more in the market place, there are good deals some times, i saw one guy selling at 300 1-2 months ago, so if you keep looking you will eventually find someone

With the constant raises Bitmain did it raised the price of old gear.  It may seem weird that older gear went up in value.... but bitmain caused this on S5's.

You won't get one for 420ish with shipping.   Only way is if you find a local one and don't need shipping since local pickup.
7965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real World Scenario - Question on: July 21, 2015, 06:45:14 AM
I keep my laptop at home and that is where I keep the rest of my funds (some $50,000 worth of btc). Anyway, it doesn't matter if it's on my laptop or on an external flashdrive the point is it's at home.

So one day I see something epic but they want $220 of btc. They don't take any other form of credit.

Keep some in BTC in a hot wallet easy to access.  If you a need to buy something "epic" you can buy with that.

On rest of 50k keep it in cold storage.  I hope if it's on laptop you are not using it for internet and other things.   You should do a lot to secure that much coin.
7966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for cold storage on: July 21, 2015, 06:42:38 AM
isn't blockchain's wallet is a good option to store btc in a long run ??

It's a hot wallet.  So good for spending cash yes.  They have a lot of money behind them.

But good for storing all your worth.... most would suggest against it.  Go for cold storage.
7967  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2015, 06:41:29 AM
My biggest mistake was thinking I was a alt coin genius.   There is just a lot of unpredictable behavior in some alt coins.

I made good money on some, others I took a loss.  Needless to say I mainly stick with BTC these day's.  Just much more safe overall.
7968  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is the Chinese mentality so risky? on: July 21, 2015, 06:38:28 AM
Last time I checked its not just chinese its everyone. But games in the casino are directed to asians due to more percentage based on business owners.

Also it isnt fair to say only chinese just because they have a bigger population then ours.

Yea I think it's unfair to say all Chinese are gamblers and effected by gambling.  This is just not true.  With bitcoin dealings I really have not met anyone who gambled to much (there were a few dice players).  But overall most like to keep the coin they earn.

The more scary thing is look at what Chinese average salary is on your job.   You would be surprised the difference in pay.
7969  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: July 21, 2015, 06:34:09 AM
Most likely a lot of campaigns are starting to go down and it's not profitable

Yeah many of the campaigns are getting down and it is not good news for us as it is the only source of earning bitcoins and if it keeps on going down it would be really difficult to earn bitcoins as we don't want to get into trading or gambling. So more and more campaigns with good payout should be started.

What are you even talking about? Campaigns affect little or nothing the bitcoin price or its stability, they are just a source of income in this server for some people but more than 70% of bitcoin users dont know or use this forum at all and 90% of the forum users dont even know or wear a signature to get profit.
Yeah signature campaign can't affect the bitcoin price, it can affect only the speed of the transaction, because signature campaigns sents many payment for their signature and it can cause delays. And also you must wait atleast 30 mins to confirm your transaction.

What? What transactions? You mean the whole bitcoin transactions? No it wont affect the blockchain transactions, for that to happen you would need to send an overwhelming number of transactions and signature campaigns dont do that
Not literally signature campaigns, i mean their signature campaign manager because when they paying their participants they sent many coins in different addresses and it can cause delay because you will wait until 30 mins to confirm your transaction.

I would not worry  about sig campaigns delaying your payments.   A really good modern one is actually automated where not everyone is at the same time, they are all based on their sign up for campaign.

Some yes are more old and do once a month, or week all at same time.   But even with these the amount sent out is no where enough to cause a slowdown.
7970  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 21, 2015, 06:31:05 AM
This is my first post. Please do respect

My post intention is to help readers to save their money.

Some of the employee are not saving their money. They spend it on things that they dont need. For example gadgets, buying a concert ticket, accesories, etc.Buying things that not they need is also like a wasting money. Because this thing give a happiness  not a good life. Saving money is just like securing your future because your savings can help you in emergencies. These are the way to save money .
If you are empolyee. You must save atleast 20% of your salary. The 20% of your salary divides into two .

The 1st way : cash reserves- medical insurance, retirement, life insurance  and if you not have salary yet. And emergency. But dont spend all of you 10% in this emergency. You must know if the injury is serious o not before you spend the 10%.
The cash reserves must equal of your 6 months salary this will help you and ensure you becauas of you loss your job you have extra money .

The 2nd way : investment, business- you can invest in some company so that you have a extra income. And you can also built a small business that will always have an income like apartment.

Example. My wage is $ 7.5 per hour and i work for 8 hours and i work for 20 days. So thar my salary is $1,160 . The 20% of $1,160 is $232 .
So that my cash reserves is $ 116 i can spend this money in emergencies and medical insurance.
If my 6 month salary is $6,960 i can stop my saving money in cash reserves.

Thank you .

emmm 20% of my salary is only 25$ Sad

where do you live? usually in those place with low salary, the cost of living is low as well so the ratio will be about the same when you compare it to a better salary but a more expensive place

if this isn't the case and you can't find a better job, then you need multiple jobs to accomplish the same thing, for sure you can't savi anything with such amount

I would agree country is key.  Some have such low salary it is almost surprising to some.   But if they can make enough to live... that is better then the alternative.

If US then yes 25 dollars will be hard to build a nestegg for retirement.   But some countries 25 dollars you are pretty well off.  I'm hoping your in one of those.
7971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teenagers and bitcoin on: July 21, 2015, 06:27:59 AM
It also depends on the subsection of people.  I know in college the business college had many people who were aware of bitcoins.  If you went to other arts, music, etc the number who knew about it went down quite a bit.

Hopefully we can change this is future where it's known equally.
7972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for cold storage on: July 21, 2015, 06:15:49 AM
I doubted! What about paper wallets? Roll Eyes If paper wallet exist why should bother other wallets? Paper wallets are not secure than? You can import it anytime you want.

~Rude Boy  Kiss

Paper wallets are a very good option if done right.  You do need to keep them in a secure place.

The advantage I can see with trezor is you could carry it with you and have access to your main coins at any time.   Which is good and bad.

Personally I will always have some in paper wallets.   They were made properly and It lets me sleep feeling good.
7973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leak Shows That Hacking Team Targeted Cryptocurrency on: July 21, 2015, 06:13:13 AM
fact is AVG detects them long before leak. hacking team is BS  Grin

It might be BS on that part.  But it is not BS that "bad guys" have started to target bitcoin wallets.

It is more reason why someone should use a cold wallet vs hot wallet.   Cold if done right... virus cannot touch.
7974  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S2 upgrade kit? EDIT: BITMAIN WHERE ARE YOU?!?! on: July 21, 2015, 06:05:59 AM
You would think they would respond with something. Any response is better than none. WTF!!!

The none response speaks for itself.   I think the S2 is not the easiest upgrade they need to make 10 blades, instead of lets say S4 only 4 blades.   I'm sure they did cost analysis to see what profit margin would be.

My guess and its a total guess is they found other things they can make more money off of then an upgrade kit.
7975  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Trying to buy a massive amount of hardware!!! on: July 21, 2015, 06:03:18 AM
Ive been in the bitcoin community for awhile under the username youngkenzie. Ive lost my password and its been awhile since ive posted. Ive started a new account because a big bitcoin investment...very big. This is by far the most advanced community of human beings I have ever been apart of and im glad to be back.

If you did any deals with anyone who can vouch for a address you have, then you might be able to get it back.

If so post in Meta about it, and have other person verify you used X address with them.  And sign a message with X address and there is a chance of recovery.
7976  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LKETC 5T 1000W is it real? on: July 21, 2015, 06:01:16 AM
Most miners even from the start were overpriced but thats what you had to pay to have the newest thing.  Some of it payed off some of it not.  Only just recently did we see hardware affordable enough for most.
The only real question is if they will sell to the public or is it another large buy in.

The dragon 1T i got from them ran forever.   I must have ran it a year before I finally sold it.  Still have a 1.5 T dragon.

They build solid machines.   Were just waiting on chips.
7977  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: July 21, 2015, 02:12:37 AM
So 648 BTC X $30,000 (conservative future value) = $19,440,000

Not a bad speculation. Congratulations! You'll be laughing in a few years at all the dumbasses in this thread that called you crazy!  Grin

What I read it was listed for  31,150.25 USD approx.   So as of the moment hes at a loss.  But we can hope BTC goes up and it turns into a profit.

I think he and most of us are in BTC long term.
7978  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 21, 2015, 02:08:09 AM
I think either way both will forever have value.   How much on BTC in 10 years... i don't know I hope a lot.

But gold if you are more short term you could go almost to any country and spend it.  Even remote no internet can chances are find someone to buy gold.

BTC you need to be in a country that has technology with internet, etc.  So I see it really depending on your plan on where you will be going or retiring.
7979  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece Cannot Pay, Greece Will Not Pay on: July 21, 2015, 02:05:19 AM
No matter what caused it to happen.  I feel sorry for them, I see it getting even worse personally.

But watching lines of people in this day and age waiting in line to get money from ATM and are limited per day is scary.
7980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream Adoption on: July 21, 2015, 02:02:29 AM
I think the bad reputation Bitcoin gets for the hackings and anonymity associated with it. Many people apart of the mainstream media believe Bitcoin is for criminals, possibly because of the rep the Deep Web gives it. Nonetheless, it takes education to teach the public that Bitcoin is more than that.

And that is the hard part.  New's articles are not concerned about what BTC looks like in article just what makes biggest headlines.  Silk Road is a perfect example.  BTC was not bad it was the people and how they used it.

But BTC got a bad rap on many many news outlets and tied to illegal activity.
