I agree QlooQl, there's nothing to stop we Onionists organizing to support other projects once this one has matured sufficiently. DeepOnion itself is likely to spawn several side-projects and is arguably doing just that right now.

I have an idea or two I will be putting to the Onion crowd at some stage to gauge their interest. It's just not the right moment to do so. Let's deliver this one first.

Will our marketing efforts also deliver a high coin price? Not on their own - most of us here aren't interested in 'selling snow to Eskimos' (as the saying goes). Most of us are supporting the project because we're sold on the end-product and we want the Dev Team to continue to 'deliver the goods' - to everyone's benefit.

In which case our 'marketing efforts' are, in truth, an expression of our 'will to power'. Our community support is, for the most part, genuine and powerful; we as a community are already successful in that sense.

In the long run our community 'will' ensure the DeepOnion Project is successful - as 'will' the DevTeam.

It's relatively quiet on our bitcointalk thread! Everyone must be over at https://deeponion.org earning some DeepPoints on the Community Forum and hoarding them until Sunday until they are exchanged for Onion.

UPDATE: It seems the withdrawal problem may be isolated to the use of Coinbase via PC. I have managed to withdraw my BTC using the smartphone app as have a few others. Some however are still reporting problems using the app as well.

A suggestion has been made that the problem may stem from the current volatility of BTC.

PS. I have BTC - time to buy some more Onion  

I have managed to withdraw my BTC using the app. Curiously the app crashed as soon as I pushed send.

I attempted one last time to withdraw the BTC on my PC prior to using the app with no success.

I'll give it a go myself - once I have the app installed etcetera, etcetera.

ALERT!! Coinbase is freezing customer withdrawals of crypto while still allowing customer deposits of crypto and fiat.

I opened a thread elsewhere on bitcointalk because I could not withdraw BTC I had JUST BOUGHT on coinbase!

Coinbase should be tweeting the hell out of this news if they have been compelled to freeze withdrawals. And they should not be accepting new purchases either - which they undoubtedly still are. F**kers.

No updates to report so far I am sorry to say. I imagine their support team will soon be overwhelmed by support tickets if they have not already been so.

Just a quick heads up folks in case this is, or becomes, a widespread problem:

I am currently unable to withdraw (send) BTC from Coinbase. The Coinbase interface has not recognized any of the three wallet addresses and 2 exchange addresses I have attempted to withdraw to so far.

The message promulgated by the Coinbase UI when I entered these addresses reads, "Please enter a valid BTC address". All 5 I used are indeed valid BTC addresses.

I have opened a support ticket and will post any relevant information I receive in reply here.

(Is this the most relevant thread to post this information in I wonder?)

I'm not sure what you mean here, but there are probably folk out there that would pay to find out.

It would be nice if DeepOnion sees a little outside crypto flow back into it over the next few days but I will not be disappointed if it doesn't occur. Steady development of the blockchain (and it's side projects) and an active community will attract new interest over time in any case.

In my opinion, patience will continue to reward all Onion hodlers long after the airdrop is finished.
