81  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do Trading Works? on: August 22, 2017, 04:32:03 PM
Hi, I would like to know:
What is day trading and how does it differ from trading only?

Thank you.
Day trade is taking advantage of current fluctuation if you understand the flow you will earn but its risky since in any chance you can also be trapped with some uncertain problem or if there's a whale dive that's is needed to be learned to avoid loses from your investment. Unlike from trading which you can hold and wait.

Day trade is barely for professional traders that have a successful background in the cryptocurrencies market. It's very hard and stressful because you have to be quick when opening and closing positions. If you fail, you can lose great amount of money in seconds. You should always use stop loss orders by the way.

I generally trade altcoins, but not like day trade. I buy them and sell for higher prices. I can wait a month or a week.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero XMR to be listed on Bithumb! (ALL TIME HIGH) on: August 21, 2017, 05:07:29 PM
Maybe after this more people will start to accept it as viable form of payment. As for now, people (that are not investing) don't really have a justifiable reason to by Monero

Maybe but we can't know this. The price on coinmarketcap is now $81.90 (48.16%) and 0.02044310 BTC (51.18%) iwth respect to yesterday's closing price. On bittrex, trades are very fast I can't catch the orders. Almost fifty percent profit in a day is such a good return for monero investors like me.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: August 21, 2017, 04:40:47 PM
This is possible, but this would be implemented by the governments.  This would result into fiat currency being converted to electronic currency. Generally, I think this will not result to the governments using cryptocurrency as most of those are decentralized. Something the governments don't want.

Agreed although some people in the government would disagreed, Finding ways to this system not be implemented on their government, some people in our government are corrupt and desire for their financial income, if cryptocurency is implemented in our government people would look at this system as an opportunity on lessening corrupt people at the their government.

I never think that some governments will use bitcoin or other crypto coins officially. Here, I'm talking about big countries and their governments. Let's say USA has adopted bitcoin and declared that it's an official currency in its territory. How the rest of the system will go? Do they remove US dollars? I don't think so. And bitcoin would not be a good idea for cashless society as well. The inflation of US dollars is low, how about bitcoin? High and crazy inlfation in there.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: worth to invest Ethereum on: August 21, 2017, 01:13:00 AM
ETH is a coin worth investing in but if you want to fold your account many times, do not invest in ETH find another coin.

Why not, ETH still has the potential to boom more than we can ever dream about. The only negative thing is that upcomig ETH hard fork, after it's done, we'll look forward to see ETH around $1,000 of course.

I'm targeting 0.2btc for 1 ETH next year.
85  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Still Go Up? on: August 20, 2017, 11:58:54 PM
Now that it's been proven there are many other alternatives to Bitcoin which have advantages such as quicker transactions, smaller fees, and higher mining profitability, I don't see a reason to think Bitcoin will get to $10,000.

Will the price of Bitcoin still go up? It seems so outdated when compared to its competitors.
Yes it still go up. Especially today because it become more popular to anyone. Although there is more other crypto currency but bitcoin is still the base of those currency. And also bitcoin is still rising its value from time to time altough it is volatile.
i am also sure that the price of bitcoin will continue increasing for a long time.

I don't agree with you guys. I think the price will keep going up but this will be due to only manipulative buy/sells. The technology of bitcoin is old and there are better coins available for faster transactions. I bet the price can't pass $10,000 within 5 years or so.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: August 15, 2017, 10:51:50 PM
Buddy,I have a doubt. How will bitcoin reduce unemployment? Bitcoin is just like any other fiat currencies. Will dollar reduce unemployment? The answer is no. If you have any skills , you can offer your skills to other people and can get paid in bitcoin or dollar. Thats it. There is one advantage with bitcoin , that is it can used as a investment because its price is increasing day by day. I dont think bitcoin will reduce unemployment.

This approach is the correct approach to understand bitcoin will never ever reduce unemployment. Bitcoin is not a tool for providing new jobs to the people. It's a currency. And currencies won't make people employed.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Happened To The Monkey Capital ICO and Massive Crash On CoEval? on: August 15, 2017, 10:38:31 PM
Monkey Capital was an ICO scam. If you participated you will never see your money again.

It is hard to believe how some people easily fall for a scam.

I created the profile for Monkey Capital and put them in the Scam category to explain why it was so obvious it will be a scam.

http://icoindex.com/profile/monkey-capital-mny

Surprisingly Monkey Capital is still listed on other websites tracking ICOs. Seems like they do 0 due diligence on ICOs they list there.

Coinschedule: https://www.coinschedule.com/proj…/…/monkey-capital-ico.html

Tokenmarket: https://tokenmarket.net/blockc…/waves/assets/monkey-capital/

Smith and Crown https://www.smithandcrown.com/icos/

Today I checked their ANN thread and there are garbage comments and all mixed up in each other. I couldn't understand anything from their main ANN thread. Some of them are saying they will be back and this is a lie! Thanks for warning us, keep it updated about Monkey Capital action please.
88  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose only if you sell on: August 15, 2017, 10:22:55 PM
I think the correct is, you only lose if you will sell lower than the price that you got your coin. We know that people in the world has different needs and investing some money in bitcoin or any cryptocurrency doesn't have any assurance that you will keep it for a long time because there are some scenarios that you need some money to pay the things that you bought or the things that you need. So as long as possible, just sell it for a higher price so you will not experience a loss.
Mostly people give up on their coins when their coins are experiencing some bad time or it is speculated that the coin does not have any secure future.

Such scenarios make the new traders panic badly, eventually making them leave their coins. Here selling will definitely be at price lower than that of buying. I don’t think so people deliberately sell at low to meet their needs.

That's true and I did too. But I learned from my past experiences. Weak hands tends to sell at lower price if the coins is dumping. You got nervous if you are losing. But if you have a good coin, like in the top coins in coinmarketcap there's no problem, it will rebounds later.

You got the correct lessons from your experience and the guy that opened the thread said the right thing. I investigate my past sell orders, all are in profit right now. At the time I sold them, I had thought I made profits. I was wrong.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Under 30m$ market cap coins on: August 15, 2017, 09:57:23 PM
Don't know much about others

but XSPEC is about 4 mils, best ANN coin there because of it is already WORKING wallet(the only wallet in crypto with integrated Tor + OBSF4 for Tor blocked counries)
So its not a scan(vaporware) guaranteed

Its is cheap cause it is not listed on any major exchanges (cryptopia is the one with most volume)

twitter.com/xspecrising to see comparison with other coins etc

P.S. WAVES rules!

Waves is very above the 30m $ limit. They ask for the ones that are below 30m $ market capitalization.

Sonm, matchpool and humaniq can be the ones for this. They're all below 30m $ market cap. They have good ideas and teams.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: August 15, 2017, 09:41:32 PM
I just wanted to earn one Bitcoin and now I am seeing that happening. Then I can spend all that together for buying games and stuff which I can't ask my parents to buy me. So 1 Bitcoin is just a lot for me and I hope I keep earning.
I'll tell you, it would not be a lot if you have already achieve to get 1 btc, you will surely aim for a bigger one
because human nature is like that. We do not have satisfaction and as long as we can get more we will surely continue doing it.
Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your this achievement and secondly I will suggest you the same. You just have only one bitcoin and it surely doesn't make you a very rich person.
Although, the price is rising day by day but you really need to gather more bitcoins in order to secure a lavish life. It is not that difficult.

1 bitcoin is nothing at the moment. Everybody has 1 bitcoin here. The important thing is getting more bitcoin and altcoins if you're really dreaming about becoming rich.
91  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: August 15, 2017, 09:26:03 PM
Did you know in Zimbabwe, where the country is experiencing a serious liquidity crisis, economists are even pushing for Bitcoin to become an official means of payment Smiley

Liquidity crysis? Come one man, their people can't find even drinking water and simple food. Who the hell takes care of bitcoin there. Bitcoin supporters say bitcoin will end the poverty. From my perspective, it can never end the global poverty.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware Wallet for altcoins? on: August 15, 2017, 09:13:19 PM
If you're HODL for 5-10 years, I would definitely do paper.

Electronics have a lifespan, and you don't want to find out when your hardware wallet is about to die. I would only use a hardware wallet if I needed to get access easily on the road, not for 5-10 year holds.

You can use seeds to get your information and coins back if you're using ledger nano S. And I don't think their life span is less than 10 years. Think about 15 yer old mp3 players. They're still working.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Uber on: August 15, 2017, 08:45:48 PM
Meanwhile, bitcoin just got integrated with Uber for tipping drivers. Isn't that a good news?

https://twitter.com/Melt_Dem/status/895466611477544960

This could a game changer decission. I don't know if the uber drivers like bitcoin and want to accept it but this is will be beneficial for bitcoin for sure. More advertisement is coming.

95  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value Going Up? on: July 31, 2017, 03:17:57 PM
Bitcoin value is going up as it expected becasue all the community focussed on getting bitcoincash during the blockchain split. After they dump their bitcoincash, the price of real bitcoin could decline a bit.

97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 25, 2017, 05:40:27 PM
Bitcoin could have been your way to be rich in a short time period.
It's not really instant, but if you had bought $10 in bitcoins in 2009 and sell it now you would been a millionaire.
At this moment it's impossible to get instant rich by Bitcoin.
Only possible with an expensive investment and a lot of luck.

If you can catch a waves between $1700 and $2800, of course it's the way to get rich fast. This is not so common. It usually requires more time to create a wealth with bitcoin.
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is now dropping again on: July 25, 2017, 05:30:54 PM
I am speculating that this must be due to the recent announcement that there will be a new coin to be called as Bitcoin Cash and the continuing fear of what can be on and after August 1.

there is nothing recent about bitcoin cash, it has been going on for a while now.
the "talk" started a long time ago when BIP148 was starting to get serious.
bitcoin ABC (the client) has been going on for a while.
ViaBTC started selling their cloudmining thing for BCC last week IIRC
ViaBTC added trading for BCC pair 2 days ago. BCC price has been dropping ever since.
bitmain repeated that they were only supporting UAHF if UASF went through 2 days ago and kinda said ViaBTC is on their own

this drop is pure manipulation...

All drops are pure manipulation directed by big whales, from my perspective. But this time we have valid reasons for this bitcoin drop. There should have been one last correction drop before all time high, and now it's taking place.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeepOnion TOR Integrated, No ICO/Crowdfund, Free Airdrop 2nd Round Jul 28 on: July 25, 2017, 05:22:10 PM
i installed the v1.1 wallet. i backed up my wallet.dat. deleted everything then installed the new version. imported my wallet.day back and the wallet is showing as v1.1 but i have no lock/unlock button at the top?Huh anyone else had this??

100  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Taxes on: July 25, 2017, 05:09:57 PM
The good thing is that there is no taxes with bitcoin, no matter how much you earn. But the point to be noted is that in case if you convert your coins to Fiat through legal means, then govt can charge you taxes on the Fiat.  Wink
While converting our bitcoins to fiat currency, we have to pay 2 tax amount. One for exchange site they will charge some amount to exchange our bitcoins to fiat. And next to that amount will deposit in our bank account. Here we have to pay income tax to our governament.

I pay my income tax after bitcoin withdraws. This is forced with law and not paying this tax in unlawful. It would be great if there is zero tax, but we pay tax everywhere on the world.
