Holding any random Altcoin can be dangerous,

However if you do research into the projects, and see they have a solid team, a complete roadmap and are hitting release targets then the altcoin will surely do well.

I tend to only invest in altcoins that I will use personally, that way if they don't do as well as I had hoped I can still use the tokens myself.

No I am afraid Ripple will never reach $10,000

The market cap is far too high for that, it would value it at more than all the cash on earth I believe ( without doing any maths so I could be wrong) but once it hits 100b ripple released, that would value is at $1,000,000,000,000,000 market cap which is ludicrous.

XRP is not even needed to use the Ripple Ledgers for banks.

Crypto is still in its infancy,

The problem we had was so many junk coins hitting the markets with promises of making people rich.

Invest in coins with a real world use case, and you can't really go wrong.

For example Cardano, Ada, EOS etc.

I make my decision based on a few factors,

1) coins that I believe have real world use cases and thus will appreciate dramatically upon completion of roadmap targets, coins like this can include ADA, Powerledger etc.

2) Coins that generate a passive income from a site that are paid out weekly/Monthly etc, coins such as CSNO, Bibox, Kucoin shares etc fall into this category.

Using the two above methods, you don't really need to worry about the drops, crypto rises tend to happen suddenly on about 30 days a year, and the other 330 all seem to be drops, that said those 30 days of rises outweigh the 330 days of drops making it all worthwhile

I would split the Ethereum up between a number of solid projects,

For example an ethereum in Cardano, an Ethereum in NEO an Ethereum in Bitcoin, keep one as it is and have one for a decent upcoming ICO project to take a little gamble on.

That way you spread the risk if one of the coins ends up collapsing

Its possible for NEO to hit the $200 mark at the end of the year for sure.

It almost reached that in the last bull run, and the current correction will only weed out the coins with no purpose, those such as NEO that have working products will come back stronger than ever once the markets recover again.

I think NEO has a bright future,

Its a coin with a working product, there are ICO taking part on its blockchain and it has a very large following.

That said, competition will be fierce at the top, with Cardano, Ethereum, NEO, EOS etc all vying for the top spot in the future.

I have long been a fan of Waves,

They need to fix their token creation in my eyes, its too easy and you end up getting spammed with rubbish, but once that is done, having their own exchange and working blockchain make them strong contenders for eating into Ethereums Cap.

There seem to be so many Scam ICO around nowdays,

Often they are just projects promising hype and great increases in value, only for the coin to be "In development" for 5+ years and then the developers all to quit.

Several Top quality competitors to Ethereum,

Ada is certainly one of them, but will need a solid working product before it really competes.

NEO and WAVES both have working products and a large user base so will be better bets currently.

Both are pretty good coins in their own way,

Ripple most people who are die hard fans of crypo dislike as its not really decentralised, that said it has a large user base for the Ripple network (Not necessarily the XRP token however)

Waves is a great coin, it should really be allot higher than it is in the chart.

I hold both of these coins amongst my portfolio and have seen great returns over the last year and a bit.

I think there are lots of good projects capable of doing a 10x,

Videocoin, ICO presale price was around 65c, can easily hit $6.5 this year I believe,

DeepOnion was up over $20, is now below 2, with the constant updates I feel this can easily hit its ATH again this year.

NEO, Once more projects get established on its blockchain NEO could go far past its ATH into the 500 range I feel.

Of course its all speculation but these three are pretty solid projects.

You don't always need new ideas remember,

There are multiple real life businesses who work as accountants for example, the big 4, then many many mid sized and smaller companies,

Same for mobile phones, Samsung, Apple e.t.c

There will always be new players in the crypto space, either coming up with New ideas like you have described or improving and competing on old ones.

The issue we currently have is institutional investors,

These big players do not like volatile markets that rapidly increase and decrease in value,

As more and more of them start to purchase up bitcoin, the price will remain at a more static level than in the past, its entirely possible for some more rapid gains to arrive, just less likely than last year.

Several great Privacy coins out there,

DeepOnion is great value currently, and they are just in the process of releasing Stealth Addresses with their current wallet update,

Monero and Dash are the two big players, with a strong user base so these are also good if you want a more usable coin.

Ethereum is a solid coin, its not going to crash and burn to nothing.

Look at the coins that make up the Ethereum Alliance, there are some top class projects in there, each running on the Ethereum blockchain.

It will certainly have some competition from coins such as ADA and NEO once more projects are released on their chains, but that's good, we want to have a spread of blockchains to stop overloading the transactions.

I am sorry to disappoint you but the AK47 £5 notes can go for as low as £7 on ebay.

If you go to advanced, then sold listings when you look it up on ebay you can see the actual amounts paid, rather than the crazy amounts people on there ask.

New wallet release looks interesting, not mandatory but I the lower fees will make it well worth it in the long run.
