Hi there nvoc-ers !
I may be stupid or definitely not paying enough attention to something as i can't for sake of me to be able to make AsRock H110 to recognize 13 x 1060 6GB GPU's. Tried with nvoc17, then 18, then 19..does not see the gpu on the last pciex slot. It mines beautifully with 12 GPU's but there is no way i can make it see all the 13 GPU's. The rig is built using a G4560, i tried using an i3... same result. 2 x Corsair 1000 W PSU's powering 6 gpu + mobo + risers and the 2nd powering 7 gpu's
Any hints ?
I struggled with this for a very long time. For me, it came down to a bad riser. I could have sworn I had tested and replaced them all, but this past weekend I started with one, and kept adding 1, one boot at a time, until I got to 13 working. I swear I did this a few times, but i find the pic-e risers LOVED to come loose as well, and may have had bad luck swapping a bad riser for a bad riser. Aside from that, if you haven't, I would make sure the the 2 molex connectors on the motherboard are each connected to the separate power supplies. Also, I noticed you have all risers on one PSU. I believe I have read that you should not have more than 2 per connector - I am unsure how many connectors are on those corsairs, but it might be worth trying splitting them up if you haven't. Let me know if you get anywhere with this. I put 3 risers per 1 connector - works fine

this motherboard if use 13gpu need to use how many DDR4 Ram? DDR4 8GB enuf??or need use 16gb

I run 13xGTX1080 with 4GB RAM (nvOC v0018) and it never use more then 2.9GB of memory. thank for sharing.nvOC is linux system right? now i using SMOS claymore 9.8 ,only can support 12 gpu....don't know is ram no enough or what, run 13 gpu cant mining rdy.... Yep it is build on Linux Ubuntu 16.04 same as simplemining OS as well the only differense nvOC for free ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) i try rdy,is ram issue...now i put 16gb ram run 13gpu no issue rdy~ can you tech me how to install nvOC system?bcoz i can't find at youtube teaching... Suppose i should buy 50% of 1070, 25% of 1060 6gb, 25% 1080ti.
Or 100% of 1070
Or 100% of 1080
How do you think i should distribute my money into buying these GPUs?
Cost for these GPUs in my country are:
1060 6gb = 324$ 1070 = 512$ 1080 = 572$ 1080ti = 837$
I will refrase my question
Assuming the cost for GPUs in my country
1060 6gb = 324$ 1070 = 512$ 1080 = 572$ 1080ti = 837$
What should i buy between this?
23х 1070 36х 1060 6gb 20х 1080 14x 1080ti
To be honest if you're going to spend $15-20k to start mining you might want to hire someone to advise & help setup/manage everything. Otherwise while other's suggestions are helpful, you may find that based on your needs the best combination is custom. If you're really serious about $20k you need a business plan, in my opinion at least. Not sure that you need to hire anyone, in this forum you can find all necessary info but I agree on business plan you need to have it before you will open wallet

Any Suggestion ? So i got a 1080 Ti & a 980 Ti, 750-800 sol on the 1080ti,& 495-530 on the 980 ti. I got a 1000w PSU , & i wanted to add another card. Thing is I got a small space to fit it & i don't want for it to over heat. So should i just buy a pci extension? Also what other gpu can reach 450+ sol? I don't want to go over 450$ on the gpu & extension. I don't pay for electricity . https://i.gyazo.com/51cf04171600908b5ebe1022007caea9.pnghttps://i.gyazo.com/c65790be846318e99886bef01e19934f.jpgAlso I'm sure this has been asked , But does --fee 0.0 really works? Is this the best miner for zcash? If you will use pcie risers GPU cooling definitely would be better and as a bonus your hush rate slightly will go up as well gtx 1080 make 520-550 sol/s also you can try to set up fee to 0.01. It works at least on nvOC

Hi all,
I'm getting lots of rejected share on a particular gpu out of 7 gpu. Is that normal?
edit: im using gtx1070
Do i have to do some settings with the intensity of the gpu? What is the usual setting to be set for intensity?
Is it a power sharing issue? the GPU doesn't have enough power?
Please help.
thankyou!
I used to have similar problem but after I reduced mc for about 10% it was fixed my GTX1070 - pl130 cc150 mc350 temp limit 70C Hi! thanks for your information! Can i know your sols per gpu? right now my settings are pl - 68 cc175 mc 750 temp limit 80 Is my mc too high? sure it's 430-440 sol/s run on Ubuntu 16.04 nvOC v0019 and yours? glad to sea you found a solution

Version 0.3.4b.EWBF's Zcash cuda miner. Expected speeds 500 sols/s gtx 1080, 444 sols/s gtx1070. 300 gtx1060 6G. Stock settings. Writen for pascal gpus but works on cards with at least 1Gb memory, and Compute Capability 2 and higher. Miner contain dev fee 2%. Sorry for my bad english Version 0.3.4bA slightly improved speed of about 2% Added option --intensity, sets maximum intensity. Added support for configuration files. Added option --config, sets the name of the config file. Added support for failover servers, through config files. Added new values to the api method getstat. Added http api you can use http://127.0.0.1:42000/getstat address to get statistics. Added simple web page with statistics, simply open the api address in the web browser. (Experemental) Fixed couple of bugs. Version 0.3.3bAdded option --pec power efficiency calculator. Added option --fee developer fee control. Use miner --help command for more information. FAQ:Q: How to select a GPU that will be used by a miner A: Use option --cuda_devices 0 1 2 digits is id of the devices which will be used. Q: How intensity works? A: The miner uses adaptive intensity and tries to use the maximum intensity value, with the help of the --intensity option you can set a limit on the maximum intensity, this will slightly reduce gpu usage and performance. Allowed values 1 - 64. You can set different values for each cards --intensity 64 64 64 64 Q: How to use config? A: You can run the miner like all previous versions with command line arguments, in this case the config file will be ignored. If you sets the --config argument, the specified config file will be used, all other command line arguments will be ignored. If you run a miner without command line arguments, the miner will try to use the default config file miner.cfg. Q: How to use failover servers A: This feature works only with config files, see config examples, supplied with the miner. Windows x64https://mega.nz/#F!usQh2bTa!3qp_PaiO-dw3F0mpvLXynAhttps://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9EPp8NdigFianNlcUh0YWFhOVELinux x64https://mega.nz/#F!aop0BLaR!qQUGG6C2ZhE2zAC0XAlMSwhttps://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9EPp8NdigFibDl2MmdXaTFjWDQ Thanks man your miner is the best for ZEC! it might be the fastest for NVidia and zcash, but it isn't the best. if it were the best it would be more complete by a dev whom actually gives a shit about his miner, ewbf has made this as a cash grab otherwise he would be actively working on it and it would have gotten updates by now, not to mention the slew of complaints to ewbf that have gone un-responded. Definitely would be nice if EWBF could be working on his miner but we can't change situation Can't say anything about AMD cards I'm using gtx1070 and 1080 for ZEC mining and to my account it is still the best solution...

You should look at the cooling performance and the fan quality. This might save you issues in the future.
Yep 3 fans definitely cooling better and OC ver. runs more stable when overclocked

Why do you even line up to buy miners in the first place?
If you believe that a coin has a future just buy it. Unless it is mineable with the stuff everybody can purchase anywhere in the world, it doesn't make a bit of sense to buy specialized mining hardware. That's the most stupid investment one can make. You are basically buying highly advanced calculators. The more people buy them, the more worthless they'll become. See where i am getting at?
HDD mining, GPU mining are OK. ASIC mining is not. It is cancer to crypto world. Don't buy this shit.
Lower risk then investment, if you pay attention to the fundimentals. As a specific example, my A2 farm achieved 100% ROI sometime LAST YEAR - despite Scrypt coins all being pretty much flat over the timeframe between when I bought them and when they paid themselves off. If I had "invested" in Litecoin instead of buying those miners, I'd have LOST money (though not a lot) over that entire timeframe - instead, I have quite a bit earned and my A2 farm is STILL pulling in serious profits, to the tune right now of about 30% of my investment into them per month NET AFTER ELECTRIC USAGE. You can't COUNT on a "skyrocket" happening. Looking at the last 5 months is 20/20 hindsight that "investing" would have paid off more than mining as there was NO WAY to predict that almost all altcoins would jump so high so fast, and therefore stating that investing is BETTER based on that period is a strawman argument - and as it happens us miners STILL made a ton, and are positioned for the FUTURE to make a ton more with long since paid off gear. Also, you're not investing in a SINGLE coin - all ASIC based miners can mine multiple coins - though they can't mine as wide a range of coins as GPUs can, they CAN mine more different coins than exist for HDD mining AND have a higher rate of return even over the last few months. BURST in particular has been getting hammered so hard by the various attacks on it's infrastructure and the resulting crash in coin price that it's bloody near impossible to pay off a HD used to mine it with before the drive DIES - which is NOT the general case for ASIC miners. You should also keep in mind that the landscape of mining hit a major change when Bitmain released the S9 - for the first time, mining ASIC are running on the CURRENT SEMICONDUCTOR STATE OF THE ART. You're not looking at a few months between generations any more, you're looking at YEARS before a new generation of semiconductor tech will make current ASIC miners outdated and uncompetative. I also fail to understand how you can be so down on ASIC and so up on GPU for mining, they both do the same thing but the GPU is LESS EFFICIENT at it. I wish you are right

You would think after all this mixed card BS & hassle with Windows people would just use Linux. I don't get it.. To those using windows: If you just tried Linux you'd never go back ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I second that It isn't really any more difficult than Windows ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Right?! Plus I see all these videos or screenshots of people using Windows & they just have a terminal open.. Why not just start with that? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) My miners have Ubuntu 16.04/nvOC as the only operating system no Windows at all btw Windows has limitation of 8 GPU, Linux Ubuntu limitation - 16GPU ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I'm using Ubunto(PiMP) but am considering nvOC, I'll try it when I setup my next rig. Still unless I end up with one of the new ASUS 17 PCIe boards I'm ok with a 16GPU limit at the moment ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Good idea! Actually it is 19 pcie mother board http://www.anandtech.com/show/11739/asus-announces-b250-expert-mining-motherboard-19-expansions-slots ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Can you help me please How to change password in nvOC?
Hi, What password you want to change ? Root password or login password ? For login password just type "passwd" For root, u have to log root first so "su" and when u are root user "passwd" Please correct me if I wrong, To make a changes in nvOC I need a password so that's what I want to change if you want to make changes, the default passowrd in 'miner1' If you want to change either root or login password, please follow the above comments made by Bibi187Should I type password in a m1@m1-desktop window? or in the Terminal window? You can only do that in guake terminal, as the main terminal mostly auto starts mining the second you open it. Should I type "password" and right after it something like "password123"? Thank you for your help
