I think that investing in altcoins can bring good returns for long-term investors. Altcoins have less capitalization and I think that altcoins will simply grow when the market grows.

Both are good investment but you have to considere the capital you want to use for investment, if your capital is much I will advise you that you invest both in bitcoin and ETH but if you don't have enough capital you can invest in only ETH.
