Seems fishy, this rise is not substainable, even DASH took couple of months to do this %%% up  I cannot believe this, but it seems like HighOnCoins (Max) HODL Technology (R) is actually working. The rule is simple: only acquire, never sell. HODL until it reaches at least $100.00. Just take the masternode earnings, no reason to sell. |

Dumpers are going to try to bring the price down, and naturally it will come down some after such a huge run up, but check at price level .00059 - that's the GREAT WALL. Each day there will be a price point for the GREAT WALL that is a catch net. As Gandalf says "You shall not pass."  At the time of this writing, the GREAT WALL is over 46,000 CHC! |

I know everyone is shell-shocked because that is the standard pattern: pump-and-dump. But this is the new paradigm: pump-and-HODL. If you think about it, there isn't any reason that this can't work. Together we'll keep the coins scarce, everyone wins. This is like the Prisoner's Dilemma in game theory. As long as everyone HODL and doesn't act selfishly, we all win. "As long as everyone HODL and doesn't act selfishly, we all win." 1. People will act selfishly. You must remember that people aren't joining this to help others... They are joining this to make themselves some extra money. 2. We don't all win. That's nonsense. After a certain milestone has been reached, everyone will sell. And if everyone sells, that means the price goes down. That also means that the last ones to buy before the big dump will be losing a lot of money! 3. No one knows when the dump is going to come. It could be at $5 already.. or at $10. It could just aswell last till $100, but I'd highly doubt that. It's a good idea, but it's not waterproof. Regards, Trump Granted, I think what you're saying is true, but we have an advantage here. This is Prisoner's Dilemma, writ large, but with a twist: we can all communicate with one another (in Prisoner's Dilemma, the prisoners cannot communicate). So we can say look, we're all going to HODL until at least $100.00 (this is what Max is saying on his channel). So in a way, it is market manipulation, but what is crazy is that it is probably legal, because cryptocurrencies are not yet regulated as well as real securities. So, I say HODL, invest coins in new masternodes and be patient. |

I started on master node on AMAZON AWS and was working for two days (10 coins given) then suddenly stopped. I am not able to figure out the problem and able to start again. I am trying through chaincoind masternode start command but not working and no message is coming. Now I have to give this comand as Start chaincoind "chaincoind --daemon to start again or any thing else. How I can also recover my wallet and chain coins at this stage when not working.
FR2020 be sure to do this: tail -F ~/.chaincoin/debug.log So you can see the latest messages. You may find clues as to what is wrong (maybe nothing). If you reboot your OS, you will have to execute: chaincoind -daemon Again to start the daemon. One thing that I've proven is you can copy your wallet.dat file to a different operating system, say for example Windows, then use that with Chaincoin-QT (the Windows client program). Voila! You'll have access to your Chaincoins. See my prior posts on this forum about how to do that. |

Watch HighOnCoins (Max), Chaincoin is special because (1) it allows masternodes and (2) there is a meme-style agreement that no one sells until the coin reaches $100.00 or more. What is amazing is it seems like it is working, everyone is complying so the coin is going up. This is kind of like the DOGE phenomenon. I love this, we nerdy types can HODL together and we make the price go up, slowly but surely. I follow him as well. Which is why i got into the coin. I am shooting for a masternode but started mining yesterday. Might set my Zcash rig up to mine CHC tonight. I have two nodes both on Amazon AWS, they're both t2.nano which is tantamount to renting Raspberry Pis from Amazon. I know I can combine them, but they're inexpensive, so I'm putting off the configuration hassles to combine them. One tip that may seem obvious to everyone, Chaincoin is a DASH fork, so you can get a lot of helpful information by looking at DASH-related posts. Oh BTW another tip: so I have two AWS t2.nano instances running Chaincoin daemon on Ubuntu 16.04, so it dawned on me that I want to copy the wallet.dat files to ensure that my coins are safe. So, I've copied both wallet.dat files to my Windows machine. Then it dawned on me: I installed Chaincoin-QT (Windows client) using the copied wallet.dat files, and voila! I can monitor the masternode earnings from Windows without having to SSH into the t2.nano instances. To make this easier, I have two windows shortcuts, one for each wallet file. You can specify which wallet.dat file to use with the -wallet command line parameter (e.g., F:\Chaincoin\chaincoin-0.9.2.4-win64\chaincoin-qt.exe -wallet=chaincoin2.dat) This exemplifies one of the big misnomers in Bitcoin: they should not have called it wallet.dat, because that implies that the wallet carries balances. IMHO they should have called it keyring.dat, because it really holds the private keys (the blockchain carries the balances). So what I'm doing here is copying my keyrings to my Windows machine. Actually chaincoin is a fork of zetacoin. Chaincoin was the first to use 11 hashing algos chained together. Dashes x11 is similar to chaincoins c11 the hashes are just in different order. Shalafi, thanks for the correction, I see that you're right about this being a fork of zetacoin. I was tricked by the "About Chaincoin Core" box where they show the copyright giving credit to Dash Core Developers. |

Some people can not wait and HOLD. They want to cash while they can. In theory it is possible to reach the mentioned $100,- if everybody HOLDS and does not DUMP before $100,-. Coin value is going up exponential, but the question is: what happens when the mentioned 100 dollars wil be reached. Will everbody want to DUMP all at the same time? Resulting in the coinvalue to take a massive dive and some people getting the full profits and some don't... It is tricky. I think that if the price is $100, then everyone with a masternode is going to think twice before selling, because the masternodes will be generating boatloads of cash. This will keep a lot of coins locked up. So in theory you'll see a much more controlled distribution instead of a crash. |

WTH! it enabled the internal ip??!!
OK yeah an internal IP is definitely going to be a problem. You need to do this: 1. Find your real external IP address 2. Put that external IP address in the chaincoin.conf file 3. Assign a static IP (internal) address to your PC 4. Setup your router so that port 11994 is "forwarded" to your PC's static IP address Regarding (4) it is a little tricky, each router has its own way of doing this. They may call it "port forwarding", "virtual servers" or something else. But in all cases, they will have a way to create a map where if a packet comes to your router with destination port 11994, the system will route it to a specific destination (internal) IP and port (make the port number the same 11994). One concern that I have with this though is if your ISP changes your IP with DHCP you may need to change the chaincoin.conf. Fortunately, this will typically happen only if you reboot your router. The other thing is you will have to leave your machine on 24X7. |

Hi,
I set up for the first time masternode yesterday.
For the last 24 hours of running time (successfully started masternode) I received no payment.
What is wrong?
Any help appreciated.
Couple of things. First, I have two masternodes that I just got set up yesterday. The first has generated three 2-coin transactions, and the second hasn't generated anything. To check the status of your masternode, be sure to look at debug.log: cat ~/.chaincoin/debug.log or "follow" the log with this: tail -F ~/.chaincoin/debug.log You can see messages about whether your masternode is valid. In my log, when my masternode made the transition from invalid to valid by getting 15 confirmations, the system logged this message: 2017-07-10 08:04:21 CActiveMasternode::ManageStatus() - Is capable master node! Check to see if you can find this message in the log: cat ~/.chaincoin/debug.log | grep "capable" Also try this: chaincoind masternode list | grep "<ipaddress>" Where <ipaddress> is your masternode IP address. You should see your node in the list with the word ENABLED after it. BTW take this all with a grain of salt, I'm completely green. |

I just got two masternodes up and running. I'm using Amazon AWS, Ubuntu 16.04. One of my nodes is t2.micro and the other is t2.nano. The t2.micro instance was up from yesterday and it has already generated 6 chaincoin. The t2.nano instance has yet to generate any coins, but I got it working late last night.
I've been listening to HighOnCoins and that's how I found out about Chaincoin. I love the idea of Pump-and-HODL instead of the standard Pump-and-Dump. Masternode-coins make a lot of sense to me, and I'm committed to HODL essentially forever. My initial stake is some cash peeled off from ETH, so I see it as an experiment worth trying.
As many Chaincoiners I'm kind of jealous of DASH, I think of all of the alter-coins, it seems really strong. Ironically, I had a lot of DASH when it first started, but I sold it for BTC.
OH BTW for those using virtual machines with smaller memory (e.g., t2.nano only has 512MB of RAM), it is very important to create a swap file as specified in the Chaincoin masternode step-by-step instructions. The MAKE process is pretty big, and without the swap file it was slowing to a crawl, even on the t2.micro instance with 1GB of RAM. Once the swap file was defined, the build process worked smoothly.
