When ASICs become available in the store like gpu`s, i will buy them. For now, this all ASIC market is shady. And i am not giving thousands of dollars to some chink half of the world away.

Anyone can give me some good advice for 8x 1080ti ? I stopped today with BWK because it begun very low price.. but, there is some good choice to mine? All coins profitability looks very low.. I was in doubt to start to forget about profitability and mine zcash or vertcoin because they could "surely" grow up value in the next future but also verge it sounded interesting.. I am very confused lately.. if you have some good advice, i would appreciate  thanks mates! LUX maybe? ZCL can pump up in a couple of days because of hardfork. Lux wallet on Cryptopia has been down for few days. |

Basically we now have x17, lyra2re2, nist5 and blake2s to use, since others became asic territory (blake2s also i believe) or became totally useless. List is getting shorter.

I mined directly to the Bitfinex exchange but they introduced the commissions. It is not profitable now to mine. Huge commissions are serious obstacles. Is there somewhere reliable option with a more loyal regime?

Joking aside, @op - everyday job may be boring, repetitive, unpleasant.. hell, even getting up almost every day to all kinds of weather outside, etc.. yeah it sucks, but it is a safe bet dude. Like so many pointed out already, depends on your situation and age. And this whole mining game is still kind of a gamble. Your choice, your consequences. |

I have had issues with zcoin mining on mph, because my hashrate was not reported as it should have on the mph dashboard. So, i have called them thieves on one of the topics. However, that is not true and i must apologize. They are a legit pool. The issue was with the damn ccminer itself. All it took was to add --submit-stale in the .bat file. Once more i am sorry for my hasty conclusions about MPH.

I am keeping mine at 65% tdp. Core clock +100 and try to keep the temps at around 55°C. Will try tu use them as long as i can. If any of the fans dies, i`ll just replace it with generic case fan.

So, this is 1080ti Zotac mini without display ports? If that is the case, this card will run hot like hell and give about 580 h/s in equihash out of the box...

Ok, now i am definitely sure that miningpoolhub is not reporting hashrates and consequently earnings as they should be for Zcoin. With my 12 1080 ti`s i am getting about 41mh/s. The pool reports 25 the whole day! Tried with sp mod ccminer, ccminer djm34, cc miner 2.2.2 cuda9, and few other ccminer versions, and the reported hashrate is never above 27 mh/s! I`ve looked to other pools for mining zcoin and since suprnova owner (only other pool that had some serious zcoin hashrate) decided to remove zcoin from pool, miningpoolhub is the only one, unfortunately. There are other pools with dozen of zcoin miners at best and you can mine there and wait for a day or to for the pool to find the block.

In general.
As long as a coin has a market somewhere. The profitability will be EXACTLY the same as other coins.
There is no "secret low difficulty coin". They are all priced the same more or less.
That's why these days is there is no point in jumping thru different coins.
Not exactly true. In December someone rented my 750khs (lol) x15 rig, found a lot of blocks cause he was mining some zero diff coin. A week later diff rose to very high values. I guess that guy sold his coins and then came guys with asics and ruined all the fun. Interesting. I mean since we can't get video cards renting hash power makes more sense. I'm just going to start using rented hash to get master node status like everyone else instead of spending money on video cards and electricity. Right on boyo! And remember to choose nice hash!  |
