I for one prefers bitcoin over fiat because i believed on its vision. Which is being able to provide its users a decentralized form of transaction wherein they can do whatever they want with thwir own money without the prying eyes of the government.

It think bitcoin is now really too big to fall. The amount of trust it has gained trough the years has made it really far above the rest. I beleive that investors and users alike will not just simply let any altcoin to soar above it.

I thonk the reason is very simple. Since it is the first then it is normal for it to become more pppular than other coins. It has already gained a lot of trust from a lot of people already therefore it is also being used more as compared to other coins.

I dont believe can now be called as money yet. Because of the way people uses it. They treat it as an asset or investment rather than a money that they will be willing to use on their daily lives.

i hava a criticism about photography, because there are only 2 woman on the photo but there are a lot of men, women are oppressed in today's society...
. I am sure that it is not intended by the creator of the illustration to depict that woman are lesser compared to men. I am sorry if you are somehow offended by the image, but i guess it is better to let it be what it is. Have a happy day.

I think the word "greed" being applied to those who are hodling on their bitcoin is too much. It is thwir right to do what they want to do with their coins. They can sell it if thry want too or hodl it if they wish too.

As of now i am not yet considering bitcoin as a currency. For me a currency must be used by many people in order to purchase goods and services that they wanted. But as of now i think most bitcpin users doesnt treat it that way. They value bitcoin as a form of investment or as a property, therefore doesnt want to use it in buying their everday wants and needs. Due to this reason i dont believe that bitcoin as of today can already be called as a currency.

Looking at the page count of our thread, it indicates quite strong shift of activity from this forum to our DO forum. I think the reason is obvious (DeepPoints). I remember that in the past, there were cca 15 pages of new content every day, which made it very difficult and time demanding to follow. Now, it is much easier, but on the other hand, it would also be good to remain active here as it is always nice to find our thread on the first page of the Altcoins Announcements section Moreover, it is also a free advertisement as the Altcoin section has huge amount of readers. It is true that the activity on the thread has greatly decreased due to the effect of DeepPoint on the official forum and I find it a shame because it can have a negative effect on the external vision of people who do not know the Onion . Before there was a good distribution of activities on both forums and so showe that there was an active and growing community whereas now, even if it still is, peoples which are not registered on the official forum can see, or have the impression on Bitcointalk, that the community is weakening. Frankly, it shouldn't be like that. I for one have always enjoyed seeing the pages build on our BCT ANN Thread. I posted in both, for many reasons - DeepPoints, or rewards was never one of them. I don't think we should neglect our BCT thread - it has garnered us a tremendous number of participants. Let's face it - we all started on here, on this thread! DeepPoints is a great addition, and its helping the community find a place more tailored to DeepOnion, which I think is fantastic - but we should be active there out of our love for DeepOnion - Not for some points. Let's all do our part to continue growing DO, while still spreading the word here, on BCT Just checked our forum and seems that the biggest DeepPoints "hype" from the last few days is over (thanks to quick adjustment of the rules). But there is still a very nice activity and I believe that the growth of our DO forum will be much healthier with the updated DeepPoints rules. Regarding our activity here, cca 9 pages for last 24 hours are also not bad, I was still able to find us on the first page of this Section. And it also seems that the post quality here is slowly increasing. Hopefully, we are approaching the ideal balance between our activities on both forums. . My activity here in bitcointalk hasnt changed eventhough there is now deeppoints in the official forum. But just as like before i am usually going on other forums in order to search for topics that i am interested in and will be of great value to me. Hopefully everyone will not forget that they do have task needed to be accomplished in this forum.

This scenario could possibly happen someday. But o dont believe that it will happen in the near future. Bitcoins popularity as compared to other coins is just simply to far above other altcoins and some people only knows bitcoin without any knowledge what are the other altcoins. As long as this popularity is still with bitcoin then i believe it wont be dethroned.

I think it will depend upon the usage. If you your coins to be safe for a long term investment then better use offline wallets. But if you are engaged in daily activity that concerns frequent withdrawal and deposits then better use online wallets. But whenever a substantial amount of coins is already present then it is better to transfer it immidiately to offline ones.

There is a risk in every investment that we do. Be it from bitcoin or any other form of investment risk will always be there, we cannot really foresee it from coming. But this risk will be magnified if you dont really dedicate your time and effort for it. In bitcoin you must conduct your own study so that whenevwr you will make decisions it qill be based on an educated guess and not on a simple assumptions.

I do believe that the reason why some country banned bitcoin is because of the very reason why bitcoin became popular. Bitcoin is a deregulated and decentralized form of exchange in which government will surely censor espcially since they want an overall control over their citizens.

Bitcpin left alone is totally secured. No one can outclass the blockchain, but even with all of the security features it could still be hacked or stolen because of the owners mistake. You are the final step to make this security fool proof. But if you dont know what you are doing then better seek advise from those who has necessary knowledge about it.

I will also agree that 2017 is indeed the year of bitcoin. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has been through a lot this year, including the declaration from different governments has affected it. It is also in this year that we have our bitcoin ath. Really looking forward on what may happen for the remaining months in this year.

For me the possibility that an altcoin will soon replace bitcoin on number one spot is very slight or even close to impossible. Due to the that bitcoin has already been there for years, and it has already gained the trust of a lot of investors. And as far as i can see there isnt an altcoin yet that can surpass this as of now.

For me it doesnt matter whether it a joke or if it is legit. But why would anyone name such a coin like that. It is absolutely wrong. People who has strong religious belief will automatically reject it simply because of its name.

|
For me as long as there new users and investors coming for bitcoin then it will last and thrive for many years to come. But in order to gain more investors or users we must also be promoting it to those who doesnt know about it yet. Therefore the burden will fall upon us if it will go on or cease to exist.

I have other altcoins as well. And i think it is only necessary to do that in order to have a more secure means of investments. Bitcoin may be a good way to invest but we really dont know what may happen in the future. That is why it is always best to have contingencies.

I dont think so. Gold will always be preferred by investors especially when it comes to security. Gold's value will always appreciate, unlike bitcoin that is very volatile.
