81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Asking: Cold wallet payment notification. on: August 08, 2018, 08:59:24 PM
If you have blockchain.info's mobile app on your smartphone, then mark adresses you want to get notifications, like you mentioned "watch only address", leave your smartphone in network/wifi and you'll receive notification. On another hand, there are some services which offers email notifications but non of them offers messages on your number.
Guide of blockchain: https://blog.blockchain.com/2016/05/31/how-to-use-watch-only-addresses/

wow, we can send fund from watch only address by scanning our private key. so having a nano ledger s is pointless now.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Asking: Cold wallet payment notification. on: August 08, 2018, 08:06:24 PM
Something like this? - http://bitnotify.com

If that service is dead, and it's quite old, I'm sure there'll be others. It's not exactly a complex thing to set up.

https://www.blockonomics.co/views/wallet-watcher.html?next=%2Fblockonomics#/  that's another.

Blockchain.info should be able to do that too but it's going to be more hassle to set up as you'll need to create a functioning wallet too.

oh wow. Thank you so much.

this is easier than I thought. what is the name of this kind of service?

when googling "cold wallet notification" the result are misleading.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Asking: Cold wallet payment notification. on: August 08, 2018, 07:44:43 PM
Hello there.

I want to ask if we can be notified when new payment received to our cold wallet.

As I understand we will have "watch only address"

Can we get notification in email or push notification to our phone. (by using any wallet service).

Thanks.
84  Bitcoin / Meetups / [Skype Group], ICO CRYPTO skype Discussion Group. on: August 06, 2018, 02:57:18 PM
Hello there, I just opened a skype group specifically for ICO and CRYPTO enthusiast.

Bitcointalk is a great place, but it is too crowded, as a newcomer Im a little confuse how to browse around.

Dont get me wrong, Bitcointalk is really helpful, but I dont know what or where are the most important topic to focus.

I do most of my work communicating with freelancers in skype. I thought it will be faster if I can shout in skype to look for someone to hire or to ask something really fast.

I do also hope that I can learn a lot from more experience crypto enthusiast.

Please feel free to join the skype group using this link https://join.skype.com/MjaGB0PZdVR1

Rules:

1. No trading, All trades will only use escrow platform like bitcointalk.
2. No spam.
3. Freelancer should have upwork account. Payment will go thru there.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com cold storage generator is wrong. on: July 15, 2018, 06:54:32 PM
Wow, I was reading their blog for how to setup cold wallet.

https://www.bitcoin.com/guides/setting-up-your-own-cold-storage-bitcoin-wallet

But why it misled me into creating a bitcoin cash wallet.

thank you anyway for noticing it.

unfortunately the owners of bitcoin.com have been running a propaganda campaign against bitcoin and have been trying to convince everyone that their creation (bitcoin cash) is the real bitcoin. for that they have changed almost everything bitcoin related in their website to bitcoin-cash. you can see the text at the bottom is still talking about "bitcoin" even links to bitcoin explorers not bitcoin-cash explorers. they have even sold bitcoin-cash to users as bitcoin for a short while!

Wow, this will confuse new user into thinking that bitcoin cash is the real thing. If they paid $6000 for a bitcoin, and receive 1 bitcoincash, they wouldnt even know. Because for newbie, bitcoin.com is the main website for bitcoin.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com cold storage generator is wrong. on: July 15, 2018, 12:27:52 PM
scroll up a little bit from this picture and you will get your answer!
on top of the page in big font it says "Bitcoin Cash (BCH) paper" wallet. and that address is the new "cash address" format that bitcoin cash adopted a while ago (a rip off of Bech32 format that bitcoin uses) although i don't know why it is omitting the Human Readable Part:
Code:
hrp= bitcoincash
separator= :
data part= qpqez.....

unfortunately this is one of many misleading things on bitcoin.com
use bitaddress.org if you want to create paper wallets.

Hello there,

Im using bitcoin.com to create my cold storage (paper wallet)

I think the receiving address is not a bitcoin public address format.

Can anyone verify this?

I was wondering, what is their tactics in crypto scene.
90  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your "nigerian prince" experience. on: July 09, 2018, 01:55:34 PM
the best topic ive ever seen so far Smiley)
ive met them all!! prince, princess, medicine student who was living in exile, lawyers aaand so oon Smiley
i contacted all of them but nobody ever sent me the money Sad

I have one nigerian really send me money. At that time I was really scared.

Because I know that he was using 3rd party scam tactics to scam people.

The receiver of the money will always be reported.

so, I sent back the money to the original source.
91  Other / Off-topic / Your "nigerian prince" experience. on: July 09, 2018, 01:22:44 PM
We all have encountered Nigerian scams tactic.

Nigerian scammer are everywhere.

In online marketplace website, online bidding, old coin collector, bitcoin, eth, upwork, fiverr and many other places.

As if they have school up there in nigeria to teach people how to scam.

In the old days, they will say that they are dying prince from nigeria with multibillion dollars money, and need some money from you for paying lawyers and legal procedure.

Their main MO are usually the same. they want you to send some money as a fees for them to release whatever they had promised you.

now I would like to see your experience with nigerians, and let others learn from your experience on their trick to lure you into their trap.  Grin
92  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitaps.com Online wallet for Bitcoins, Litecoins, Dogecoins on: July 09, 2018, 10:40:34 AM
Hi!

This looks a bit like block.io, and I was wondering if that is on purpose.
There is a DESPERATE need for more rest based online wallets, because they are so versatile.

Just a few questions, one of which was already asked:
1. What is your fee structure?
2. What are your future planned coins?
3. Any possibility of exporting private keys?

Coins that I would love to see added would be ones that block.io doesn't cover.
ETH would be the biggest, but also things like Dash, Monero, and other "quality" coins that typically have few or no online wallets, much less ones that come with an API.

Thanks!

can you teach me how to use this?

How can I connect my blockchain.info wallet to this?
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I need a team to be part of my upcoming ICO on: July 09, 2018, 08:00:15 AM
I can take the position of marketing advisor.

I'm currently contacting cryptocurrency-related websites, projects, ICOs, and start-ups interested in promoting their services on Reddit (reddit.com): The highly-engaged social networking platform, currently one of the largest social driving forces behind the entire cryptocurrency industry. According to Alexa.com, Reddit is the 7th Most Visited website in the world, and 5th in the United States (https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/reddit.com).

I deal with mass-marketing promotional campaigns on Reddit, and I believe that I can increase the exposure of your website/project significantly. I'm also able to help with Medium article promotion (medium.com), and similar social networking reviews, upvotes, likes, retweets, comments, etc.

Currently, I'm working with the ADAMANT Messenger Team (https://adamant.im) and have worked with the CEO of cointobuy.io and coinpredictor.io. I believe that I am familiar with your business model and have already ran successful campaigns in the past. I'm able to actively promote your website/project across hundreds of subreddits, giving you access to thousands of potential users. If any of these services interest you, please get in contact with me.

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I need a team to be part of my upcoming ICO on: July 04, 2018, 09:19:22 PM
perhaps provide a little detail on the skillset you are looking for, right now seems like just need bodies

no no. we are not looking for puppets for ICO team display.

My contact are real people with wall street financial background.

They already have real product and deep knowledge about what they doing.

But for them, crypto-ICO-bitcoin are kids stuff (no offense)

But when they took a look in it (cryptoexchange), they saw opportunity in this market, but they dont know where to go, how to start.

They want their name to be known in crypto industry, they want ideas, they want connections.

So this is the first step, to gather as many people as they can to be part of the team, so they can get ideas on how to do this correctly.

As for example, if you want to create the next big hit games, you got to have bunch of teenager gamers in your team to advice on how to make the game more fun and addictive.

The same approach apply here. There is no specific skill set, any crypto enthusiast are welcome to be part of the team.

Hello bitcointalk.

I have a contact in united states who want to conduct an ICO for his trading engine.

I was asked to find interested party to be part of his ICO.

The product is dekstop trading engine. its fully funtional.

Any experties in marketing, conferences, booth, writer, are welcome.

Please provide your skype ID, We will contact you as soon as possible.
I think you can find the persons regarding your needs can be found in the service section. But you need to be careful with that because it maybe illegal thing to do.In USA ICOs were banned so conducting an ICO from USA is not possible and we may get scammed even.

of, there is service section?

This is not a scam. This is a real product. not just beta, its work.

If US jurisdiction not allow ICO, then we will look for other country for company profiling.

In the bounties section you can found all related services, this part is just to develop the projects under development so if you already have complete project then you need to create the ANN thread in the announcement section of altcoin discussions.

oh, ok thank you for your reply.
