if the price ever goes under $100 it is on its way to zero.
84  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Thoughts on future of collectible physical cryptocurrency. on: January 22, 2019, 04:33:06 PM
I have a few Casascius coins myself but seems I could've missed out on the bull cycle for these .
I still believe they will be very sought after and valuable in the future .
Interested to hear how community here see things panning out?

When the other 99.9999999999% of the people in the world find out these exist. They are going to be very dear. Wink

Still Butthurt you sold all your BTC in November 26, 2017.
Since then you have been very pessimistic about Bitcoin.

Wonder why  Roll Eyes

this market has always been so harsh to all those who act way too late. the time for selling and shorting is long gone and those who did it long time ago made a good amount of profit. those who did it late and try to do it still are only losing money in their gamble.

now is the time to either stand and watch what happens next or give up the greed for having a tiny bit better deal and start buying now.

well said
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tone Vays Is 85% Certain Bitcoin (BTC) Hasn’t Hit True Bottom on: January 21, 2019, 11:33:46 AM
tone vays, willy woo and all the others who are trying to call a bottom are all tools, and will all wind up vilified like vinny lingham, who called the top of bitcoin at $3k in 2017. all i can say is no one saw $20k coming and you arent going to see capitulation coming either. there is no for gone conclusion that there has to be any type of capitulation move.
Personally In 2017 I didnt think and Im sure most others probably didnt think  the bull run was on until we hit $5k. Im sure new blood didnt get in until even later than that. So imo right now all that is left are holders. The way many view a capitulation bottom around here is almost like a manipulated move by traders and whales to shake out weak hands blah blah. there are always going to be weak hands, but a $2k or $1k bottom would be like killing the golden goose if it was manipulated to those levels. the long term damage to the reputation of crypto would not be worth what small amount of coins that would be shaken loose.
you are all fooling yourselves. trying to use reverse psychology being all negative and down on bitcoin so somehow whales or traders see all this negative sentiment and start the next bull run. not going to happen.  if anything the bull run will start and all those waiting for capitulation will pay through the nose because you will fomo. Make decisions on your own dont be sheep.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC to Under 1K$ soon on: January 18, 2019, 10:36:06 AM
Since lot of people are in Panic they will start to sell their BTC with loss , Market will be red more than ever before,
So this is how It work:When BTC 2.9K$ Panic will be started, Downtrend will be slowly started too. Price will be dropped to 2.5K$ - 2K$ than Next wave of Panic will be started and price will be fallen to 1K$ and it will stable at 800$.

anything is possible. tbh it wouldnt surprise me if the price gets cut in half by the whales to lock in another slew of bag holders who have been accumulating in the $3k range, just like they did when everyone thought the bottom was $6k, people felt comfortable for quite a while then the bottom dropped out. imo though I want to think the bottom was $3k  Wink
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will scarcity ever come into play? on: January 18, 2019, 10:24:12 AM
The thing is how would anyone know if there ever was a shortage if coins seeing that price is derived by only the coins being traded back and forth on an exchange? If the same 5000 coins are traded back and forth to determine price, scarcity will never be taken into account right? Because all that matters are the coins on the exchanges being traded.

i don't get it. why would you ever conclude the same 5000 coins are being traded back and forth? haven't you ever deposited or withdrawn from an exchange? placed an order, market bought/sold? if so, you are literal proof that supply and demand on the exchanges is not static. every one of us can affect price discovery on these exchanges---assuming you have some coins or fiat, anyway.

I guess I am explaining it wrong. There are x number of coins on an exchange right now. If everyone outside of that exchange held on to their coins the only trading that would be going on would be the existing coins back and forth between the bots right and that would be how the price is discovered. meanwhile outside of the exchange a coin cannot be bought because no one is selling. how would the trading bots/traders realize this is happening if say only 10 people buy $100 worth of bitcoin each day not showing the true scarcity outside of the exchange?

What i am getting at is the traders on bitstamp never have to acknowledge a shortage because the same number of coins are just being traded back and forth.

No. With every halving the people should become less eager to sell cheap. It's a result of scarcity.
Of course, there's also about supply and demand. Scarcity alone doesn't help much if there are no buyers.
So it's a cat and mouse game, where scarcity is a factor, but it's one of many.

92  Economy / Speculation / Will scarcity ever come into play? on: January 17, 2019, 01:00:39 PM
Or will it be a nonfactor because price is determined on the main exchanges which have a finite number of coins exchanging hands.
What i am getting at is the traders on bitstamp never have to acknowledge a shortage because the same number of coins are just being traded back and forth.
Or do you think that if somehow there is a shortage and it is acknowledged, wpuld there always be a shortage then going forward?
Thoughts?
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2019 the Bullrun year? ( many aspects ) on: January 16, 2019, 01:48:47 AM
Hello

do u think 2019 will be a bullrun start?

i personally think it has potencial due to  BAKKT,Nasdaq and Vaneck Solidx Futures.

Also the Bitcoinhalving is coming 2020, to avoid maybe high bitcoin prices ,the buy orders might start in the second half of 2019.

at the other handside, we are still in a hard redline bearphase, and its hard to say if those aspects will be a positive run as the volume right now is mostly dead. some pump and dumps of whales to play around

i want to her your opinion.

BTC I TRUST, HODL I MUST ( Master Yoda )

I think worse case scenario is price trade sideways with a slight upward bias and we end the year at $7k. Best case, bakkt opens and due to all the buy orders they run out of coins and must buy on the open market.  Grin
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales and their influence on: January 15, 2019, 09:34:32 AM
current whales are going to lose their power if/when institutions get in the game. bakkt/ice is going to be a game changer if it works. whales right now can manipulate retail investors with ease. I often think of whales as being the big bully in grade school, but when they go to high school(wall street) there are many other bullies that are as big or bigger than them. so the playing field gets evened out. its just a matter of time.

95  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC to Under 1K$ soon on: January 14, 2019, 10:17:40 AM
If the price goes to $1k I think it is on its way to zero. Under $1k means that the whales dont care about having control of the market anymore because the coins would be so cheap that a goldman sachs or jp morgan could buy more coins than the whales have at such a cheap price and then wall street could control btc. and they could just destroy it if they wanted.

99  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Mysterious instant drop? on: January 11, 2019, 09:41:23 AM

What caused this? How can the price be so volatile? Who is behind the market for real?

looked like a bull trap? I think the bottom is $3k but I think the price in the short term will continue to go down from $3600. Very rarely will buyers after a crash get a pop in the price back up for easy profits. no easy $$ in crypto. Grin
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Market Records Decent Gains But Bitcoin Has to Rise Above $4,500 on: January 07, 2019, 01:13:08 AM
litecoin is up 50% in the last 30 days. i think bitcoin(up 20% in last month) will close the gap soon and we blow past $4500 imo.
