82  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: US goverment to start mining bitcoins! on: February 03, 2014, 04:33:28 PM
BTC is useful to resolve infinite FIAT problem between countries.

FOREX, FIAT, BTC, Alt crypto, commodities should have technologies converged and linked to real physical world.  New digits are not mined but a record of input from reserve from real world rather than mining.

Seriously, mining rates are not a reflection of a coin dying, or a coin prospering, they merely indicate the current profitability to mine, which includes price and difficulty. There is no other correlation between future price and mining rate.

Of course miners are going to mine the most profitable coin, and the second that LTC becomes more profitable, they will be mining that. It doesn't indicate jack, except we like to get paid. I dump every bit of Doge that I mine, so you're welcome for giving you some supply. Another 400k dumped this morning from the miners working hard while I slept.

mining hashrate is one of the most important factor in a crypto values.  The 51% attack on any new coin is easily forked with low hashrate.

Crypto is now backed by nothing and Coin creators are bankers and pools are just resellers.  At the moment these crypto creators need to ensure mining profitability so DOGECOIN could be funded to destroy every scrypt inluding LTC and DOGECOIN itself.

Which crypto has high rate but low hashrate shows that the top crypto  is running the farm themselves.

Dogecoin trade volume down to 1113 btc. What is going on Sad

40% top 100 richest own 16 Billion.

You just need one of the top 100 richest quit and form his own cryptsy conversion to BTC  you will see DOGE fall to less satoshi values.  The buying depth on cryptsy is only about 200~300 million average  and WOLONG 1.8 % capital is enough is crush the price to less than satoshi.

The only way to stabalise crypto is ASIC miners is like BTC with 20nm technologies with lowest cost USB form factors of miners.

What the hell has the way a coin is mined to do with trading price?

That is the current technology known limit unless someone can create a better computing devices which is almost impossible or else we will see INTEL AMD gone into bankruptsy.  The current cost of mining with GPU is too expensive as compared to ASIC and big miners with capital can easily gallop up the whole network and move prices.

Hashrate and address used to indicate wide acceptance but eventually techonologies will make these 2 data unrealistic anymore as addresses and hashrate can multiply easily.  Crypto stability relies on wide distributions and mining process is the current concept of creating digits.  Distributed banking become centralized farming will make the concept of decentralized transaction failed again.

These are just all FIAT products similar to Visa credits.  All these are centralized and open to abuse at the will of controllers.  Try to market these "exciting" innovations and see how other global players exchange their FIAT for these numbers.

Serious competition for doge.
A lot of people here seem to believe bitcoin and dogecoin share the same future. The will not. Bitcoin is a store of wealth Dogecoin will never be a long term store of wealth (100 year+). No-one seriously puts his retirement fund into a dogewallet. Dogecoin is used for tipping for deeds or payment for small goods. The proplem with this is the ever faster growing blockchain. Other alternative payment methods dont have this burden and are a lot faster and can be used with less technological advanced products.

So has anyone heard of Paga? (https://www.mypaga.com/) or others?

One million users in Nigeria (seriously) are using it for mobile payments.
Its a service that "provides you with a fast, convenient and secure way to make and receive payments," one which describes itself as "the best alternative to carrying cash, using checks or ATM cards, traveling to and from the bank, and waiting in long lines to process payments."

Check this out
http://www.businessinsider.com/10-financial-innovations-more-exciting-than-bitcoin-2014-1

The main purpose with the creation of digital currencies was to make able the transactions for using the coins for payments without going through a bank or an organization that controls the coins. This is the purpose of decentralized currency. Actually this has turned out in a very different way, but the way that the example that you give works directly with bank through making deposits on them to make payments via sms or somehow. That's why it's so well adopted, because banks permit that. The point for digital currencies would be that payments are allowed by banks anonymously, which is quite far away to happen, basically because they wouldn't know who to charge taxes to as they normally work together with tax governments. And the volatility of the coins is way loong far away to become stable as they are under no regulation. So if this was permited with no regulation maybe you pay a bill of 50 dollars which turns out to be 25 $ the next they for the bank. If they want to make it, they will have to regulate it and permit it which won't be too bad for altcoins depending on how far they go with regulations and how much we let them go with them. Once you let the big ones come in the game, we are fucked, they start to shake your hand and finally they will eat your arm faster than you realize.

crypto is still far from perfections.  But the real change is fast adoption and fast upgrade with a choice of money.  Any crypto found to be totally manipulated like FIAT will be dumped instantly making all owners of crypto or FIAT lose everything and that is why there is wild assets purchase driving asset bubble as these people know how the Bank speculate the values of money up and down screw everyone who take loan from them.  Bankers value everything up and down.  The victim borrow and take a overvalue loan and later Bank value the assets down which also mean value the FIAT up so this up/down power blow up the economy.  Bankers pocket all the profit and own every assets on Earth in the end.  Bankers create FIAT to purchase everything others is making?

FIAT and crypto are both just digital numbers relies on acceptance.  You had just witness how a currency being value that screw everyone that use it.  All savers are eaten alive in 40 years time but now crypto can replay the same values up and down in a fast forward time and merchants need a crypto that has real values which is most stabilize.

72 BTC dump at cryptsy @ 183 dump now

It's market manipulation by probably that asshole Wolong and his gang.

He is buying the price up and not the other way down.  He could be no.1 richest in DOGECOIN and buying BTC to hold the price and hashrate and greatest supporter of DOGECOIN.

He seems more confident in Australia DOGECOIN than homegrown CHNCoin (CNC) ...

Hi this is my first post and I want to share with you some interesting findings as I was browsing the DOGE explorer.

http://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/address/DLf7gEHNnvpEex3fCz8oipXPDQnmdFTPmH

First I think this is solo mining earnings and with this earnings it seems it intelligently avoid the capture of actual network hashrate.  At the current 60GH/s, this single address is having at least 4 Billion in 6 days and potential is more than 120m DOGE daily.  To earn this 120m daily from about 720 million DOGE daily is 16% of network hashrate.

The peak increase to 90GH/s which is about 15GH/s or it could be scrypt ASIC in stealth operation.

http://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/tx/5d69bb58dccc29562299a9c941149e8b37e81c4b929bc8c882923c23fc14f16a

Further discovery found that 60% of a single block income goes to this solo miner.  Each mining block reward is 500,000 but this single solo miners manages to get 70% of 357,345.94655711.

This makes all miners real returns from published mining rate of 30% only.  This means when you should mine and get 10,000 DOGE a day you will get only 3,000 and 70% goes to stealth ASIC miners.  This means there are ASIC scrypt secret mining farm with 70% hidden hashrate not detected by the network?

I do not think there is any DOGE pool with network 70% mining hashrate.

Other interesting findings in 2 hours single address can accumulate 400 million become 6th richest

http://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/address/DBpNLLEj13LWr14wm1YH24nuqAjodrjaLL

Tracing for 20 minutes the source is from 27 Jan Buy

And this finally linked back to the movement of the so called WOLONG address 12th richest

http://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/address/DHsqeNgKH5f6Jnch8b9w45ddRBHpGXSBuj

So now the top 100 richest having 40% of current DOGECOIN which is 120 Billion DOGECOIN instead of the insignificant 1.4 Billion.

Above calculations are my guess as most network hashrate are estimate and not realtime.
