81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: August 04, 2017, 03:14:53 PM
Are they new cards? Manufactured after everywhere got sold out? Im asking as ive got two new asus dual 1060 6gb and they arent happy above +550mem clock either. My older two are fine at +750mem

I think so as they're are new stock when I got them.
Still have 4x Asus Strix OC 1060 6G waiting to be installed.

After much tweaking, I think I'm good with my current settings.

PL 80, TL 83, CC +200, MC GPU0 +535, MC GPU1 +515
Temp: GPU0: 66C GPU1: 69C
GPU0: 295 Sol/s GPU1: 297 Sol/s
Total speed: 592 Sol/s
+-----+-------------+--------------+
| GPU | Power usage |  Efficiency  |
+-----+-------------+--------------+
|  0  |     70W     |  4.21 Sol/W  |
|  1  |     90W     |  3.30 Sol/W  |
+-----+-------------+--------------+

Why would you increase memory for equihash? Is not changing much, you should stick to the core clock.
I go with PL 75-80, CC + 150, Memory 0 and I get about 295 - 300 sols.
Good luck.

Thanks, didn't know that memory clock doesn't affect equihash mining. I'm back tweaking the settings to see if I can get better hash with untouched memory clock.

The increase in temperature is because of the increase in power. Any specific reason why you increased it?

For the sake of losig 40sol/s id keep the first settings as you are getting better efficiency. Or as the other guy has said, reduce the power of the second settings, seems too high to me.

As I mentioned, I have cheap electricity so at that time I opt for higher hash rate. Increasing power limit gives me higher Sol/s.
Right now, I'm using the first settings, lower hash rate but in return I get to have good temperature on my card. My goal is to get a balance between hash rate and temperature, something that sit under 70C.
So far the cards didn't like memory clock above 550

85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: August 03, 2017, 09:08:36 AM
Unrelated to EWBF, can I make default display to built-in gpu and only use pcie gpu for mining?
This is because sometimes when gpu crashed, the windows became extremely sluggish and I had to restart PC everytime.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's cuda miner monitor tool on: August 03, 2017, 07:49:09 AM
Thank you for the script. I've been looking for something like this.
This will help me while I'm continue tweaking OC to optimize my hash rate.

Can I suggest to add a few things?

- Adding color coded on the data
- Adding temperature, something like (Total GPU Power Usage: 257 W , Total Speed: 599 Sol/s , Average Temp: 74C , Total Shares: 49 , Total Rejected: 0) or (Total GPU Power Usage: 257 W , Total Speed: 599 Sol/s , Total Shares: 49 , Total Rejected: 0 , Temp 74C 72C 72C 73C 71C) -> ascending order of GPU0,1,2,3,4,5

[update]
Apparently, when I start ewbf_monitor.bat, it shows me the summary but also halt my ewbf miner. I thought, maybe because I started it with ewbf already running. So, I closed ewbf and tried running this tool, it'll open 2 command prompt but failed to start miner. Tried couple of time but still won't work so went back with the usual way of running EWBF.
FYI, I'm normally use EWBF miner.cfg and it can select next pool in case one fail.

Hello!

Of course any suggestion is welcome. I'm going to add this feature.
For your issue: there is no problem if ewbf miner is already runing. The app will recognize it. Yes it will open two command promt. One for monitor and one for the miner(if it is not running). So what happend when your miner is halt ? Are you wait a few second ? Because it takes some time to refres the data from the miner. What shows the monitor command window ? Are you enabled the api in ewbf ? In case of error the monitor tool create a log file. Could you share it with me ?

I can see the script fetches data from EWBF and it looks fine. It just that after that my EWBF stopped responding and later in your script it shows this:

I will try the script again and let you know.
Right now, I'm using sverox's script which so far seems to work fine. (https://forum.z.cash/t/auto-restart-possible/15772/55)

Another suggestion for you is instead to offer just email notification, why not give option to either use email or telegram or both?

Hey guys,

I've started running 0.3.4b on Windows 10 64 bit.
Supposed to test it with 6x GTX1060 but unfortunately only 2 risers arrived and the rest will be sometime later next week.

So, running 2x GTX1060 (1x Gigabyte WFOC, 1x Zotac Amp) gave me.

Temp: GPU0: 74C GPU1: 73C
GPU0: 316 Sol/s GPU1: 285 Sol/s
Total speed: 601 Sol/s
+-----+-------------+--------------+
| GPU | Power usage |  Efficiency      |
+-----+-------------+--------------+
|  0    |    130W       |  2.43 Sol/W    |
|  1    |    120W       |  2.38 Sol/W    |
+-----+-------------+--------------+

Temp 71-75C
Core clock +100
Mem clock +500
Power limit 116% (max)

Still tweaking to get maximum hash rate taking advantage of my cheap electricity.

Are you in the US or EU? I have a store, I mostly drop ship but I keep risers in stock. I can express them. I had to wait 2 weeks for risers for a rig so decided I'd keep them in stock.

Thanks, unfortunately I'm in Malaysia. I'm going to find some tomorrow.

Latest EWBF monitoring is supported by https://ethmonitoring.com

Regards,
Jaanus

Thank you for this monitoring tool. I've been using it to monitor my rig.

Hello, I'm noob with overclocking. I have a 6 GPU rig with GTX1060, out of the box they are doing 280 Sol/s (average) 72C (average) with 115W (average), not sure if this is good or below par.
Can anyone share your overclock settings especially on GTX1060?
