Thanks for the info max, I got it compiled and libraries linked to qt.app/contents/frameworks folder. Now when I try to load my newly compiled .app on a fresh build of OS X I get the following error. Any reason this why libsystem.b.dylib would be referencing libcache? Is this normal behavior? If you compiled the wallet under 10.7+, and are trying to run it on 10.6, you may run into backwards compatibility problems. I don't have a good solution to that problem except to compile on 10.6. My wallets don't work on 10.6 for the same reason.

Having some issues compiling our 0.6.4 client using QT Creator 2.5.2 and SDK 4.8.5, we have resorted to this thread because we know Max is the go to guy around here for Mac clients. Any help is much appreciated.

How did you install libssl, libcrypto, and libboost? Sounds like they were built for some other architecture (32-bit maybe), or built by an incompatible compiler. I believe there is some sort of compiling compatibility issues between OS X 10.7 / XCode 4.2 and Clang. I'm trying to use a fresh install of OS 10.6 (which uses GCC) but I'm having a hell of a time getting finding a proper copy of OS X 10.6 and Xcode 3.2.6 for Snow Leopard... Max do you happen to know what the proper OS X / XCODE version I would need to compile my 0.6.3 QT client to compile correctly? You should be able to compile the wallets with clang as it ships with 10.7 and 10.8, but using the /usr/bin/gcc and /usr/bin/g++ aliases that make it work like gcc (not sure if this works in 10.9). But if your libssl, libcrypto, and/or libboost were compiled with the "real" gcc, you won't be able to link against them.
