81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][SBC] StableCoin ¦¦ A new breed of cryptocurrency ¦¦ v1.2 RELEASED on: June 27, 2013, 08:44:55 PM
I was mining solo

the majority were unconfirmed.

I closed the wallet - then when I opened it all the transactions were showing with a question mark - so I closed it and opened it again and then there was nothing

I'm going to send you a couple coins to see if the transaction will show up in the block explorer.  One sec.

It's showing the 5 coins I sent you just now.  I don't know what else to do.  The ones you mined might have been orphans I guess.

Maybe someone else in the thread can help you further.

I have no problem posting it

scpSNuHJH3V52oD6cWA2eohnQoyibKmbmk

Thanks

My block explorer doesn't show any transactions for that address : http://sbc.isa-geek.com/address/scpSNuHJH3V52oD6cWA2eohnQoyibKmbmk

I tried the other block explorer as well but it's down again.

Were you mining solo or in a pool ?

All the SBC I mined have just vanished. 800 of the b**tards

Wallet says 38 transactions yet in the transaction history there is nothing.

WTF is going on.

What is your SBC address ?

if you don't want to post it than just search for it here : http://sbc.isa-geek.com/

See what records it shows.

just joined with a HD7950 Flex OC 3gb working @450kHash/s ... Can't manage to make it faster without crashing - CGminer 3.1.1

Here's a guide for overclocking the 7950 & 7970 written I believe by the developer of cgminer (I copied and pasted it when I found it at some point).  It is fairly in-depth and is a slow process, but will yield the very best results possible with your hardware.

Looks like bitcoin mining is over, dead. with ASICs coming revenues droped (divided by 6 in a 2 months).

very low difficulty, few people => high revenues.
For the moment, far better than litecoins too.

Thank you !

Glad to have you with us!

You can buy steam games with sbc : http://www.coingas.com

Personally I like SystemShock 2.  That was a classic game!

Increased share diff to 63 to match my other pools.

Restarted the stratum server to effect this change.

The hash rates on the pool will be wonky for a few minutes until it catches up with the change.

Blockexplorer is now dead - http://coinminer.net:2750/chain/StableCoin

That is the reason SBC is not on CoinChoose.  CRAP!!!

I setup a new block explorer here : http://sbc.isa-geek.com

I barely got it up running.

Can somebody test it please ?

Looks good SilverWolf.  Going to do a few searches on it now...but it appears rock solid.

Hope you don't mind, I emailed Sal your link to get it back on CoinChoose.  CoinChoose is our greatest ally in getting this coin noticed.

Awesome!

He just pm'd me and said it should be back up shortly.

we need to figure out why we've been removed from coinchoose.

Plenty of room for new miners on the pool, why don't you join us ?

Why is our profitibility being hit so hard by the "stale" calculation on coinchoose ?

I haven't seen an over abundance of orphans on the pools or anything.

Wait... I get it now.

Your taking a (made up) dispute with a pool operator and making remarks about the COIN.

What I can say that pool operator operating with about 80% of the hashrate on his 2 pools can do whatever he wants to the blockchain

There are plenty of good pools now for SBC, anyone legitimately interested in mining SBC would simply switch to another pool after a dispute with a pool owner.

Your making generalizations and accusations against the coin that have nothing to do with me.

I'm guessing this is another attack on StableCoin.  It's not the first one we have seen but I have to admit, it's better planned than the last one was.

The theory probably goes something like this :

1. Create a dispute with the largest pool operator
2. Try and discredit him
3. Clumsily try and turn it into an attempt to discredit the coin itself.

And with that realization..  Our conversation is terminated.

What I can say that pool operator operating with about 80% of the hashrate on his 2 pools can do whatever he wants to the blockchain.

As I said, good luck.

So now you think I forked the block chain ?

I went to a lot of trouble and some personal expense to launch a second pool on a completely different host in a completely different part of the country, solely to protect the block chain.

That's the whole point in the automatic registration caps (on all of my pools) which some people said was completely unnecessary.

Moreover, I think someone might have noticed if I had figured out a way to fork the block chain.

If you have any actual evidence of a fork I encourage you to share it.
