81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCreates an environment where violence or surpression is profitable on: September 22, 2018, 01:47:14 AM
the decentralisation from the humanistic oriented states, through crypto

is creating an environment where violence and surpression of humans for profit gains is being supported.

a group of armed people like "isis" could therefore enslave and surpress a region and enforce a cryptocurrency on that region.

making the western humanist states unable to do something against it.

regards
That's just an isolated case; an outlier if one may say. Bitcoin is still doing its intended purpose, that is to be a p2p cash payment option and as a store of value. Also, I doubt that those terrorist utilize their bitcoins well. In some countries, it is hard to convert them to fiat and I think countries in the middle east is one of them.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance record on: September 22, 2018, 01:09:27 AM
I think the arrival of the new coin does not affect the credibility of bitcoin in every market, bitcoin always dominates the market. there is no coin that can rival bitcoin. bitcoin is always ahead. even though the market is bearish.
But we're talking about its dominance in percentage here. It doesn't matter if bitcoin will still remain on top or not, it doesn't erase the fact that investors will move out of it if there's a coin they like--which will result in lower dominance.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you say is Bitcoin's biggest weakness as an industry? on: September 21, 2018, 08:42:08 PM
Personally, I think rthe Bitcoin/Crypto market needs to be regulated for it to become mainstream or useable in everyday life situations. For instance buying a cup of coffee or even buying gas? What do you think? What're the top projects you've been keeping an eye on and how do you think this will change the future of Crypto?
Once bitcoin is regulated, all its pseudo-anonymity will be lost. This will be counter-productive to what it is meant to solve. So what needs to be done is to remain unregulated and at the same time, improve itself since it is a first generation blockchain and more projects are overtaking it in terms of tech.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of ICO? on: September 20, 2018, 02:26:37 PM
The future of ICOs are bleak. Ethereum is in a predicament this year and might not recover anytime soon. As the talk about its migration from POW to POS, it's price seems to get lower and lower, and wiith that the popularity of icos will plummet.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: September 19, 2018, 03:44:25 PM
Regulations are not a good thing for crypto because it eliminates the essence of confidentiality. However, this is necessary to reduce the number of people who us it for illegal things. Anyway, people can still use decentralized exchanges to avoid regulations--the volume is not high though.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why other ban cryptocurrencies on: September 19, 2018, 03:25:30 PM
Officials do not care about their country. They're more worried about billions of dollars going past their pockets. Therefore, they are so skeptical not only about bitcoin, but also about the entire cryptocurrency.
This is not the case for all the time. It might be that the government doesn't have the necessary ways to deal with cryptocurrencies and they are banning it for the meantime until they find it. Cryptocurrencies are fairly new to our generation, integrating it in a country without exerting necessary caution will be disastrous.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: Asians are the most bitcoin holders in the world. on: September 19, 2018, 03:16:28 PM
This idea might have stemmed from the fact that most bitcoin miners are from Asia so you automatically assume that most of the holders are in there as well. It has something to do also with the false info o the creator of bitcoin being Asian. IMO, there are many hodlers in the asia, but the whales are in the west.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Exchanges Are Coming? But It is OK? on: September 19, 2018, 03:09:35 PM
Having many exchange, especially decentralized, is never a bad thing. Of course, there's a chance that some of them will be scamming people but the bottom line is, they have more options. They can choose from a variety of exchange that provides different services, not only those who only want the traders money like binance.

90  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the problem of trust in projects? on: September 10, 2018, 01:53:29 PM
There are special rating tables that help evaluate projects and trust them.
Person with a lot of experience will easily identify the scam project...
The problem is, if that expert person gives in into corruption, which seems to be a common thing in ICOs. Even advisors in some project won't mind even if they endorse as scam as long as they get paid in the process. This is why it is important to DYOR and never trust some "expert" in this space.
91  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Deflation and Its' problems on: September 10, 2018, 01:29:17 PM
I believe bitcoin deflation is normal because it is decentralized.Meaning,it's not controlled by government.People should not worry about bitcoin deflation because, surely there will also be an inflation.
Being a deflationary currency means that more people will tend to hold it since its value increases over time--hindering its capabilities of becoming an actual currency. This actually focuses less in its aspect as a currency since a currency that is not circulated well is not a good one.

93  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after several years? on: September 10, 2018, 01:24:00 PM
After a few years, bitcoin became more popular. Many people know bitcoin, this market will soon be accepted by everyone. This will make the market thrive.
Granted that bitcoin becomes more popular than it is now, the main concern is: can it adapt to the level of usage? Last year, transaction fees reach absurd levels. Not to the point that people would go back to wire transfers to move money overseas but enough to question the tech behind it. Which is why, I hope that lightning would become well integrated in the society in the future to avoid this from happening again.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I LOVE PANIC SELLERS on: September 10, 2018, 11:20:46 AM
If you love panic sellers then you must love bounty hunters more... those guys sell whatever price they want since they got their tokens without investing on a project.

Really though, its good that there are panic sellers, it makes the price go down for most overvalued projects.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: September 10, 2018, 10:57:46 AM
Frauds happen in crypto too, especially in bitcoin where newbie investors get scammed all the time. I believe that this is inevitable regardless if its bitcoin or banks we're talking about because there's always one person that will not do due diligence.

Though if we base it only in the system itself, it is without that bitcoin is more secure since information cannot be altered.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Downsides to crypto on: September 07, 2018, 03:39:46 PM
If and when cryptocurrency and/or bitcoin becomes the official currency of the world, do you think there will be a downside to it? If so, what do you think the negative effect will be once cryptocurrency becomes a worldwide currency?
All things have downsides, but it all matters to how heavier the benefits are. Bitcoin for example, if it were to become a worldwide currency, governments would have a hard time to tax people who operate business though crypto. The reason being their concept being opposite to each other--a centralized entitiy wanting to control a decentralized entity.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This strategy is mostly used for price manipulation on: September 07, 2018, 03:34:55 PM
Don't listen to the media and all the noise that they bring. Ignore it completely. Only look at the charts, as the charts are fact and cannot be changed. Right now we are in a descending triangle, and it could either "moon" or "crater" around the end of this month. Prepare for either eventuality.
You advice not to listen to media but you expect the OP to believe your words--a stranger in some forum?

Charts are good only for a predictable market like traditional stocks. For a very volatile market like bitcoin, charts are useless. One bad news is enough to reverse your expected chart outcome.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just one coin... on: September 07, 2018, 03:28:33 PM
Probably it is not as long as i know. Bit coin is touching it high level popularity by dint of its reliablity and secured systems. There are thousands of cryptos over the world. Among all of them most increasing marketcap is belongs to Bitcoin. Feel free to invest.

Bitcoin has reached its peak popularity since last year december and from that, we only witnessed decreasing interest of the public. We would take a long time for the people to appreciate it again.

Yes you are right, now Bitcoin is more popularly used as an asset, not as a currency, this is the cause of inflation in Bitcoin prices. If the information is correct on another thread with a link to the article that 111,000 bitcoins can be sold in the amount of $ 802 million, then bitcoin will soon fall at a very low price. The only problem is that he pulled the remaining crypto currency.

We have long been past its goal for being a currency. Given the volume of people hodling it, it is safe to assume that the number 1 goal of bitcoin now is to be a form of investment.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are there bounties worth paying $1000? on: September 06, 2018, 05:10:39 AM
There are plenty of ways to earn up to a thousand dollars by joining bounty. I suspect that you only know of signature but try to participate in blog campaign if you have vast knowledge in crypto and write articles. You can also join youtube and translation campaign - - basically all campaigns that have less participants.
100  Economy / Economics / Re: Friends reactions to crypto currencies? on: September 06, 2018, 04:52:22 AM
Strangely enough, when I brought up the topic about crypto to my friends, they were all ears and actually interested in the underlying technology. This led then to do their own research and realise that it can also be used as an investment tool of some sort.
